Outcast (Her Royal Harem: Ember Book 1)Outcast by Catherine Banks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Where do I start! This was such a fun read, filled with wonderful characters, interesting storylines and just enough twists and turns to keep you completely hooked and turning page after page. There is so much more to Ember than even she knows and I am really looking forward to reading more in this series to find out more about her abilities and where life is going to take not only her but her men as well! There is a few steamy moments that give us a feel of what may be still to come and I can’t wait. I so want a happy ending for them all. I guess I will have to wait and see LOL

The Complete Echo Series: A Heartfelt Romance Collection (The Echo Series) by C.R. Alam – Review by Jules Herbert

The Complete Echo Series (Echo #1-4)The Complete Echo Series by C.R. Alam
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

What a fantastic book by a truly wonderfully talented author. I really enjoyed following Rae and Dean as these two remarkably strong willed and determined characters fell for each other while fighting against past hurts that they believed not only formed them but also protected them. This book is a really great read with wonderful characters, both main and side characters are well developed, vivid writing that enables you to completely envision the world they live in and a creative storyline to keep you reading page after page! It’s a fantastic start to what I am sure will be a fabulous series! Bring on the next book I say!!

The story of Callie and Brandon had me hooked right from the start and I simply couldn’t put it down until the end. This truly talented author created amazing characters full of heart and weaved a captivating, relatable storyline that the reader can fully visualise while reading. Important issues were addressed with such great care. I totally fell for Brandon in the first book of this series and this book just cemented that even further.

This very talented author creates such amazing characters and storylines filled with so much heart! I was instantly in love and was completely invested in the story of Rowan and Chris right from the start. Having met Chris a little in the previous books in this wonderful series I knew his story was going to be a great read and it definitely was that and so much more! Now if you haven’t read the previous books you will still follow the storyline and enjoy it wholeheartedly but I HIGHLY recommend reading the entire series simply because the people and places created in these pages will burrow into your heart to stay and you don’t want to miss out on that.

Book 4 brings us the story of Lina and Curtis and I just know you will be hooked from start to finish just like I was. We also get to touch base with characters from previous books which I really think adds depth to a series. There is always something happening with steamy moments thrown in so if Romantic suspense is your favourite read then this book is for you.

I truly Love the Echo Series and found myself getting more and more hooked with every book I read. This talented author always brings to life her characters in such compelling and relatable ways that you just won’t be able to put the books down!

Having read the first book in this series and being unable to put it down, I knew as soon as I saw this I just had to read it. My excitement was completely justified because this was yet another extremely well written and creative storyline that I truly could not put down unless I was forced too. Damn my family insisting on eating LOL. Filled with so much drama, danger, mystery, murder and lies just to name a few things, this really is a book you don’t want to miss. I know I have said this about this authors writing before but this story truly comes to life in your minds eye as you read it, thanks to such vivid descriptions, that truly make you feel like you are really there.

I absolutely Love this series and I’m kind of sad we are at the end. This AMAZING author always creates such captivating storylines and wonderful characters that weave their way into your heart and this book is yet another fine example of that. I truly loved every single word of James and Sara’s story filled with so much emotion and amazing chemistry. I so wish I could go to Langston Falls. LOL
As I touched on before this is the last book of the series and even though it can be read as a standalone you truly do need to do yourself a huge favour and read the whole series. You really don’t want to miss a single one!

The Mating Chance (Long Claw Pride)The Mating Chance by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am really enjoying the Long Claw Pride series by this wonderful and creative author. This book sees Cricket, a very young widow with a young child get a second chance at love through a mating call. This is unheard of and very confusing for her. Boone answers his mating call and after working out what was holding Cricket back they embrace the call. Drama with Crickets family business links with others in this series and I can’t wait for more. I need to know how all this is going to unfold.

What a great quirky read. I think that’s the word I am after LOL I mean how else would you describe a Vegan Vampire! Basil is in an accident and wakes up a vampire. So confused and needing a way to survive and remain Vegan she develops a serum to take care of herself. She decides to leave town, buying a shop with an apartment she sets herself up in a new town and well things just develop from there. I haven’t read any other books in this series and that did not hinder my enjoyment of this book in any way. I will now be reading others for sure though!

Hidden Mischief (Shattered Embrace #1)Hidden Mischief by Alyndra Quinn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a great first book and series start. Ashton is shy in her personal life ( I find her quite strong when it comes to her job) with a hidden sassy side while Zachary is dominant, possessive and completely wants her! Quite opposite in many ways their attraction and relationship slowly comes together for them and will keep you the reader captivated. Filled with great characters this is a great read and I can’t wait to see what is next for them both.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

At its core I really feel this book is about finding love and acceptance to be exactly who you are and living the life you want to live. Who doesn’t want that right? My favourite characters were definitely Lachlan and Molly, who were wonderful characters that I enjoyed getting to know all while learning a little bit about Polycules which was a new term for me. Proving “families” come in all forms this was a good read.

CUTTER (Devils’ Spawn Daddies Series) by Victoria Saccenti – Review by Jules Herbert

Cutter: Devils' Spawn DaddiesCutter: Devils’ Spawn Daddies by Victoria Saccenti
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I have read many BDSM themed books and really enjoy that genres theme so between that and the fact it was written by an author I really enjoy I was drawn to this book. The DDMG play aspect is something I haven’t read before and If I am completely honest I can’t say I liked it or will seek out to read more books around that element of this genre BUT just because it wasn’t my cup of tea this time it DOES NOT mean that you won’t love it. Cutter is filled with plenty of action, drama and danger while the lead characters Cutter and Emily work to bring down an MC who are involved in human trafficking and a lot more! While elements of this book weren’t for me I think this author is really amazing and should be read time and time again!

Everything will just make so much more sense and you won’t have to try and piece things together as you read like I did. Even though I had to do that I enjoyed this book so much and I’ll be grabbing book one and doing a full read again including re-reading this. This wonderful author whose character depth and intriguing storylines definitely should not be missed is someone whose books I will gladly read again and again . Kingston and Ava falling in love amongst so much violence was a pull on the heart strings for sure and the heat between them is off the charts.

I am completely hooked on this series. It just keeps getting better and better. I can’t believe we are 9 books in and there is still one more to go!! Bring it on I say!! If you haven’t read the other books of the series you could still read this book and I am sure you would love it BUT the experience is definitely enhanced by having the background knowledge from the other books of the series so just do yourself a huge favour and dive into the series right from the start. I don’t want to give too much away in terms of the storyline so I will just say that Catinas powerful visions will end up being key in helping Master Botosoni and the other masters track down the rouges and shifters etc and make steps towards finally bringing them down. I really loved Master B and Catina….Now bring on book 10!

What can I say other than I absolutely LOVED going back to the Brooks family and seeing what was in store for them next! I have had a soft spot for Miller right from the very first book so I was excited to get to know him better and read his story. Miller meets Maisy when she jumps into his car when she is running away from her wedding. When that happens you just know there is going to be loads of fun to follow LOL This author is so damn talented!! I absolutely love her writing style, the wonderful relatable characters and the storylines she creates. I now only need to she her name to know I need the book. I think you could read this book and fully enjoy it even of you haven’t read the rest of the series however it is definitely enhanced by knowing some background. You really will want to read them all anyway so do yourself a huge favour and just do it!!!!

I have to be up front and say I am not usually a short story reader, for some reason I often have trouble connecting properly in a short storyline so I sometimes wonder if that impacts my reading experience. This author however, presents the reader with a real mix of stories with hot shifter alphas and fated mates that I did enjoy. None are what you might typically expect and I love that. Don’t go into reading this with any preconceived ideas, simply start reading and enjoy this fun and unusual collection of stories.
