The Third Nanny (Secrets of Redemption) by Michele PW (Pariza Wacek) is the third installment in the series set in Redemption, Wisconsin, but it can completely be read as a stand-alone. It is the first book by this author I have read, and it did not take any enjoyment away from the experience. First of all, when the story is set in place called Redemption, you know the twists and turns are going to be epic. The town is described as someplace where “nothing is as it seems”, and that is not an understatement. This book kept me on my toes, and I never knew exactly where it was going. Janey takes you on a journey to find out what happened to her sister, Kelly, who had worked as a nanny in Redemption. She becomes a nanny to the same family to figure out as much of this story as she can. You will not want to stop reading until you reach the end. Read this book.

I really enjoyed this book by Coreene Callahan, I mean who wouldn’t enjoy dragons. The story centers around the dragon Hamersveld and a human Natalie. These two managed to find each other in a world full of drama and intrigue and I enjoyed every minute of their journey. Coreene Callahan has created a world that I fell in love with and I look forward to reading more from her.

Houses of Deception by Cynthia Hamilton a five-star read that will keep you on your toes. I have adored the Madeline Dawkins series and to find that this was number six surprised me as its still as fresh as the first, as this whole series has been filled with great well plotted and rounded characters, that have a realness to them, they grow and develop as you read. Madeline and Mike will put you through your paces as you read, have you wondering and following and gripped all the way.

Avenging Devil part two by Manda Mellett a devilish five-star read. This is part of the Satan’s Devils San Diego MC series and follows on from part one, so you must have read that one first. Number one was so good it gave me chills and left me wanting more, but number two, left me unable to read for 2 days, and that’s unheard of for me. Major book hangover as this story, dark as it is, and I haven’t seen much darker than this for a long time, was so sublimely skin chillingly good.

The God is book 2 of Her Three Immortals series and let me tell you it is hot! Ok so we are talking about the Underworld so I guess it is to be expected. I could not put it down. I enjoyed the first book in the series but I really loved this one. The words came alive and I could see it all. The twists and turns along with the new characters kept me compelled! Next stop…the third book!

Check out a quick read that pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. Betsy Bobbin seems like she is awkward and a little bit goofy but is someone you can relate too. Nash is described as a dark, mysterious and handsome man. Nash is ex military and has so much anger inside but a softness for Betsy. Betsy is hot for Nash but is scared of his anger. Together slowly breaking open the walls each other has they realize that burn for each other. I really enjoyed this book and hope for more.

This was a gripping psychological Thriller. I was hooked from beginning to end. The author does an amazing job at building the story in a way that when you think you have a handle on what’s happening it twists again and keeps you guessing.
We start off meeting Janey. Janey has plenty of secrets in her family but the main one being the disappearance of her sister. No one knows what happened to Kelly, she just disappeared. That is until 8 years later when she writes to Janey. What is happening to her sister? Why did she disappear? Now Janey is on a mission to find her sister and the truth of what made her leave. Was it a stalker like she claimed or was it part of a breakdown?
Janey follows her sisters last known footsteps even taking her job as nanny to the Johnsons. However, things aren’t what they seem and the Johnsons have secrets as well. Secrets which may explain her sisters desperate letter and which may also put Janey in danger.
If you like a book that is suspenseful and gripping this is definately a book to read. I can’t recommend it enough

I was very impressed with the characters in this book. Often times adult authors forget what it was like to be a kid and child characters can come off a bit too mature for their age but these characters were spot on with their attitudes and the things that seem like the end of the world when you’re that age as well as the healthy dose of respect for adults even when you don’t want to listen to them that you still have at that age before you hit the rebellious phase. I thoroughly enjoyed this and would absolutely read this with my daughter when she is older. I think kids around 12 or 13 will love this story and find the characters very relatable. The magic style in the story sounds corny in the synopsis but the way it was written felt very organic to the storyline and I never felt like it was over the top or pushing past what is believably realistic in a fantasy novel. All in all I was impressed with the writing and I hope we get to see more of Cat’s journey.

The Heart of Baker Bay by Danielle Jacks was a really super sweet, easy to read, bring to the beach (or back patio) book!! I loved every minute. The main characters, Jody and Adam, start out as enemies, then turn into friends and then va-va-voom!! At first, Jody was not my favorite, but then, I realized that deep down, we all have a little Jody in us. I loved this and I’m looking forward to more books from Danielle Jacks in the future!!!

Levi Andrews is a private investigator in Buffalo, NY. While he does an okay job, he is mainly doing this job just for the money. Money will help him buy the huge amounts of alcohol that he consumes on a nightly basis. After waking up one morning, Levi is visited by a young detective, Parker Williams, who is working on a serial killer case in Oswego, NY. Levi is startled by this information. As a former detective in Osewago, Levi had put a serial killer, Azrael, in prison ten years ago. Ten years ago is when he lost his wife and his partner to the same serial killer. Now it seems the killer is back. Was the original killer not the one in prison? Or has a copycat taken over?
Levi and Parker must work against the clock to piece together the information. Can they discover the truth before it’s too late?
Azrael is a fantastic thriller filled with secrets and clues. Can you piece together the information to solve the serial killer case? Or will you be just as surprised by the ending as I was?

Remember My Name by Laurencia Hoffman is not for the faint heart and has potential trigger warnings within. It’s well written and it definitely has lots of intrigue.
The main character Shane reminds me a lot of Holden from Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. He’s stubborn and he’s all about Shane! He’s someone who doesn’t take other’s feelings into account and uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism. This is his journey of his experiences of that great love as well as a past, present, and future of trauma and sadness in his life.
When Shane first meets Callen, he knows that’s it for him. Callen and Shane share a chemistry that exceeds all obstacles in their way, or does it?
He’s extremely secretive and the trauma’s in Shane’s life not only impact his relationship with Callen, but also family and the few friends he has. Unfortunately he has one secret he feels could destroy everyone he loves that he uses to push everyone in his life away.
Does Shane end up with his happily ever after? Do his secrets destroy everything he holds dear? I encourage you to dig in and find out. If you love a good romance with some suspense and mystery thrown in, this book is for YOU!

Absolutely phenomenal read by this incredible author!! This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals series, a series that should be read in order as this book follows the first.
I loved this book so much and ended up reading it in one sitting, I couldn’t get enough of this storyline and the characters and just had to get answers to all my questions and let me tell you I was not disappointed! This storyline is steamy, detailed, mysterious, intense and action packed with never a dull moment.
I look forward to reading more from this author asap and would absolutely recommend this book to others!

A murder mystery with a very different back story. So interesting and intriguing. The main character has so much depth you can’t help but be empathetic towards him. He is living but not thriving and you’ll become his biggest cheerleader. Along the way, you may even reflect on your own life and the difference you make.

This was an absolutely fun read. I was laughing throughout the book just imagining what was happening and how someone could get themselves involved in trouble at every turn. No matter how hard she tried Sophie could not keep her nose out of this crime and it seemed that she was proving that curiosity is not always a good thing. Sophie’s character, and all of the others as well, was so fun and easy to associate with as normal everyday person and someone that I would love to hang out with, can’t wait for the next book.

A string of missing persons cases bring two people from completely different parts of the world together to try and solve this case. One is Lucianna, a Las Vegas police officer who has clairvoyant abilities. The other is Salvatore, the Overlord of the Vampire Masters. When a robbery occurs when Lucianna starts her undercover work, she’s brought deeper into the world of vampires than she could have ever anticipated. With more women going missing, it’s going to take the abilities of her new team and all the skills she possesses with her own powers to hunt down where they are. The only issue is that even with her mind on the case, she keeps getting visions of what might happen with her and Salvatore, and that’s a distraction she just can’t afford right now.
I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this with how the first couple of trappers were written but I quickly found myself falling into the story and really enjoying it. Even though Salvatore is the Overlord, I appreciated how much he relied on Lucianna to lead the search for these women and to figure out what happened by providing her with a team who all have their own special skills that played an important role throughout the story. The way the author handled the romance kept the reader wanting more and even though I wish certain could have happened quicker, the incorporation of the visions was an interesting twist. Overall I really enjoyed the book. There was a decent amount of world building with the use of the vampire historical texts and I’m interested to see how things play out in the future.

The Third Nanny (Secrets of Redemption) by Michele PW (Pariza Wacek)
4 Stars
I have so many mixed feelings about this book. There were many times I could not put it down, then there were as many times I sat totally confused. I read it in 3 sittings and did think about it whenever I wasn’t reading it and couldn’t wait to get back to it. I did have a problem with the main character, I never connected to her and she had me all kinds of messed up with her change in personality, her change in her moods, and the thoughts she had throughout. I guess that’s what makes this a twisted psychological thriller. It definitely met that mark for me. I never really formed any opinion about the ending and how it would all play out so it not being really jaw dropping for me at the end wasn’t very surprising.
I did enjoy reading this story, the writing was awesome and did flow smoothly, I just felt at times like I was reading things that really didn’t matter, but then at the end realized it all did.
I do highly recommend reading this story especially if you like this genre. Just know, it will all make sense at the end.

I was pulled right into this story right from the beginning. I was ugly crying at what the Green Street Girls were going through. The author does a great job with her writing, I felt like I was right there with them.
We get to know Athena, Gwyn and Indigo. After the loss of their 4th sister each of the girls are dealing with things. Athena is the one that has suffered the biggest loss and is reeling from it. Why does everyone keep leaving her?
Tru is a professional pool player, he was taught from a very young age how to play. While at a tournament he meets Athena. Can Tru convince her to see more of him or will she stick to one night?
Wow is all I can say about these women. I loved the direction this series is going with the women and I can’t wait to read more from this series. All of the characters added a great element to the story. Be prepared for an emotional rollercoaster. If you’re looking for a great series with alpha females this is the one for you. 1-click and get started today.

I sold my soul to the Don of the Underworld. And now, I’m stuck in his penthouse.
That would all be well and good, except he — Grey — doesn’t want me here and has stormed off.
Which is kind of immature if you ask me.
So, here I am — a sad soul called Vanessa Maan — alone in Hell.
Well, alone, except for…
A serpent-haired gorgon on a mirror, who is, actually, quite nice.
A gargantuan caterpillar, who can’t stop eating.
And an elevator that refuses to let me leave the building.
Not to mention — but I will, anyway — I’m covered in gold dust from one of Aroz’s love arrows, which would’ve hit me if Grey hadn’t whisked me Down Under. And I don’t mean Australia.
It didn’t work. The love arrow, that is.
Because I am definitely not in love with that self-proclaimed A-hole of the Underworld, even if I can’t stop thinking about the guy — god — whatever.
Meanwhile, my gentleman, Raef, is stuck on earth — with my mother, my brother, and an awful lot of explaining to do.
Life shouldn’t be this complicated.
Especially, when you’re dead.
The God is a hot Why Choose? novel and the second story in the Her Three Immortals series.
**Warning: contains sexual situations, explicit language and is somewhat cliffhangery.

GAH!!! I know I say this every time there is a new book in this series- but this is definitely my favourite…. so far- who am I kidding though, I LOVE them all!!! I don’t know how A.J Renee manages to do it, but the series really does get better and better with each new instalment. Cursed Touch is the fourth book in the Broderick Coven Series by A.J. Renee. It is a fantastic paranormal romance with witches, magic, a touch of fate, soul mates, sizzling chemistry, danger, drama, and emotion. As with every book, I was hooked right from the beginning, reading the entire story in one sitting as the story pulled me in and kept me engrossed from beginning to end. I love Carter and Vanessa- it was so easy to invest in them and the outcome of their story. I loved the bit of mystery and suspense that was intricately woven into the story as well. Ms. Renee certainly knows how to spin a captivating story… and she has me well and truly hooked on her work. I can’t wait for more. Bring on Book #5!

Azrael is the intriguing debut novel by Matthew Huntley. I have read this story twice now and both times have left me a bit conflicted as to how I should rate and review this book. So let me just start by saying that the storyline is very compelling, with all the ingredients that I look for in a great crime thriller. With a crazed serial killer, an intriguing investigation, complex characters, dramatic developments, some danger, and a whole lot of mystery… it definitely made for an interesting and very gripping read. But there were a few issues that detracted from what would have otherwise been a stellar read- and this is where I am a bit conflicted. While I really did enjoy the story, I felt that the story (and author) were let down by grammatical and editing issues- as well as a few contradictions in the storyline. As this is Mr. Huntley’s debut novel, I really do applaud him for delivering such a gripping story and look forward to following him on his writing journey, as I imagine that with experience, Mr. Huntley’s work will become even more polished, and the issues I had with this book won’t be of concern in his future work. Well worth the read! I really am looking forward to seeing what Mr. Huntley has in store for us next!

From the very first chapter, J.D. Spero’s Boy on Hold pulls you in! A fantastically written mystery written from several characters point of view, the author does a fantastic job at completely painting the picture. Spero dives deep into the brutal realities of mental illness, addiction and murder, showing how much each character is affected by it. I really enjoyed how well she was able to show how complex mental health can be. Boy on Hold was my first book by J.D. Spero, but it won’t be my last!

Wow, this book was phenomenal! I really enjoyed this young adult/fantasy book. Alena was a young girl when she lost per family and her home. A few years later, she becomes a member of “The Guild” and now goes by the name of “Slayer” (which I love!!). Slayer is fearless and strong, and I love her character. As she now ventures off to find a missing Increment and works for The Sacred, this is when Slayer will discover what evil is where the adventure begins.

This book was very emotional. It is beautifully written. My eyes have been opened and my mind expanded since reading this. I enjoyed this book from beginning to the end. I was instantly hooked. Ullman really made the characters realistic. I highly recommend it.

A promise to a best friend on her deathbed Athena swears to put her hurtful past behind her and to live a life that she deserves and that her friend won’t get to live. Athena feels she is doing just that while her other two best friends, Gwyn, and Indigo, beg to differ. She puts all her passion into building her empire, making sure her clubs run smoothly, quick one night stands, and building high, super thick, hard as steel walls around her heart. Trust Tru, young, youthful, and sexy as hell to bring all her steel walls down around her ears. A man in town for a billiards tournament threatens to tear through every defense, and distancing mechanism she holds dear. I enjoyed every steamy, grab you by the heartstrings moment of this book. It pulls you in and makes Tru and Athena so real you feel like they could jump right off the page as you feel every emotion with them. Bared is the perfect title for this as these two literally bared their souls to each other and promised to work through past hurts and I was here for every minute of it. I look forward to reading more of this series and the other girls and seeing where life takes this group.

As a young girl on a night of terrifying fire, death, and blood Alena lost her entire family. She is luckily saved by her uncle and due to a devastating power she possesses is raised and trained in secret to become a guild member. After completing her training she sets off to complete her guild trial to become a fully fledged member. Once that is completed she is given her first official assignment. Given leave to travel to the tavern and recruit help for her journey she builds her cadre with the promise of coin upon completion. Thank goodness she didn’t decide to complete her mission alone! I love a good fantasy, young adult, or otherwise, and this one did not disappoint. I had an incredibly hard time putting this down to participate in life. Once you get into this story your are swept along and kept on the edge of your seat. I felt rather than atmosphere driven this novel is more character driven and what great characters they were, minus the one, he will deserve everything coming to him. I really enjoyed the camaraderie and friendship that developed in the group as they battled for their lives despite all of their differences. I’m really looking forward to reading more of The Forsaken.

Sinful Daughter (Dark Mafia Sins Book 1) by Emily Bowie
4 out of 5 Stars
Aria Rossi is the eldest daughter and second out of five children for her father, Nicoli Rossi, the greatly feared Mafia don. Aria’s dream of being a lawyer is close to happening. If she decides to join the family, Aria thinks she knows what her life would be. While she is deciding on the path she will take, Aria decides to live someone else’s life for just one night. Lori, Aria’s best friend, takes Aria to a place no one will recognize her.
Theo Fox is an honest cop. Theo Fox has made it his mission as a police officer to find a way to break both mafia families in the area. When he stumbles across, and by stumble I mean deliberately plans and shows up where she is, Aria on her night of freedom, Theo finds more than he bargains for in Aria. As the dangerous relationship between Aria and Theo starts, Aria finds herself in an arranged engagement. Can Aria and Theo ever be together? Will Theo give up his morals for Aria?
If screaming at a book is any indication of an amazing read, this one is beyond amazing. Emily Bowie makes sure you can feel the danger, the heat, the steam and the heartbreak. This book is kind of like the mafia, once you are in, you are in for life! Some of the characters surprise you when you least expect it. Then, there is that thing that happens. Not the first one that leaves you breathless but the second one that leaves you completely confused.

If your looking for your next amazing read then look no further then Bared. By N.D. Jackson. This book had me captured from the very beginning and was written in such a brilliant way that it made me feel like I was dealing with the same situations that the characters where. The book is full of friendship, success, power and so much more that you can’t help but fall in love with it. The main characters are alpha females succeeding in a alpha male world and it has to be one of the most empowering stories that I have ever read. N.D. Jackson gives us a fantastic plot line, powerful characters, and so much more that I can’t wait for the next book.
