This is an enjoyable and engaging novella which acts as both a prequel to the series and provides extra scenes. It is written for adult readers due to the mature content. Blind Rebels are the most popular rock band in the world, with platinum albums and sell out concerts. To the onlooker the members of the band have it all, however, behind the scenes they are falling apart. Mavrick Slater is the lead singer and he is worried that guitarist Callum is on a path of self-destruction. Callum knows his best friend is concerned for him but he’s tired. He’s tired of the constant touring and of being the one who cares and so he uses drugs to give him an escape. Meanwhile, living a dismal life in Chicago is Becka. She wants a new start preferably in the arms of a rock star, and to have songs written about her. Having read this prequel and been introduced to the main characters, and felt immersed in the bands world, I am keen to start reading the Blind Rebels series.

THis was a great 5 star read. This is the third book in the series and I really enjoyed it. I really liked all three characters and their story. Nicolo, Eden and Matty bring you into their world and their journeys. My emotions were all over the place. Matty and Nicolo have a history and when Nicolo returns home with Eden and sees Matty old feelings come back to life. Can these three have a HEA together? What will the final decision be? Overall I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more from this author. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was going to happen for these three. This is the first book I have picked up by this author, and I was a little hesitant at first. I was not sure if I would be able to immerse myself in a political thriller; thriller, yes, politics, not so much. However, my fears did not last long and it took no time for me to become obsessed with getting to the end. Michaela, the Senator’s daughter, experiences a violent tragedy and is forced to lead a double life for her protection. Suddenly, it all starts to fall apart and it is a thrilling, breath-holding ride as she runs from extremists who killed her grandfather. Guarded by the man who saved her before, she must hit the ground running to figure out who let the secret of her double identity slip. This is definitely a page-turner, and I highly suggest starting it on a night before a day off because sleep will become less important! Loved it and can’t wait to get my hands on book number two.

This is book 3 of the series but I believe it can be read as a standalone. This one didnt keep my interest as much as the other but the chemistry between Jordan, Justine and Derek is hot an steamy! You cant deny it an neither can they.
Amanda Zimmerman is a woman who has been through a lot in her lifetime, the worst being losing her child and after some years grieving this, she begins to have a feeling that something isn’t right about it. John Rainbow is a professor of history who experienced young love in France with Jeanette Orfèvre, a vintner during World War II where he saw shadows in the beauty of the town and the dark cathedral overshadowing it.
As Amanda is figuring out what happened to her child, she keeps experiencing, visions, smells, thoughts and feelings and events which are testing her sanity, so she returns to where she first started grieving, but things don’t go as smoothly as she hoped. This is where Ben Henfry, an ex-detective who knows something is wrong as soon as he runs into Amanda and sees her unusual behaviour, little does he know that she will draw him into a world he could never have expected or imagined. Meanwhile, she goes to see Professor Rainbow, an old acquaintance of the father of her child, however, he doesn’t seem to want to, or be able to help her, so she continues on.
It is at this point that the professor realises that he needs to revisit his past and reconnect with Jeanette and face up to his loneliness, but first, after an encounter with Ben Henfry, he tries to find Amanda and also his old and now legless friend, however, what he finds in nothing he could ever imagine or expect. It is at her lowest point that Amanda is confronted with the truth of her recent behaviour and the Puzzleman decides to show her the reality of what he has been pushing into her mind and so in the sewers , Amanda and another are drawn deep into the world of the Puzzleman and the Gruemonsters he has created within it, creatures ever living in a state of disparate features, pain, delirium and delight as the Puzzleman reigns over them and the Professor watches them be taken, knowing that the other person is his old friend.
As these tangled lives intertwine, they are drawn deeper into the reality and history of the Puzzleman, his gruesome world and the mystery surrounding it, but will they be able to stop him and keep their sanity intact or will the go the same way as the Gruemonsters, after all no one is sane down a drain and down a drain no one is sane!

The Fallen Man is the fifth book in The Olympic Peninsula Series and is a Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you’ve finished. This is a fast paced story about over coming the past , secrets and second chances. The characters are fully developed and make the story come to life. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. I highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them as they are just as good as this one and you get a better understanding and meet all the wonderful characters. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

I found this to be a very interesting read. I’ve read a lot of weight loss books and none have really turned out to be winners. This author to an approach that really makes a bit more sense. Approach from the inside. Why? I liked how she takes on an inner journey of looking at your thoughts. I liked how the book was laid out. The information was well detailed and relevant. I can get behind recommending this. In fact, I’ll be buying a couple extra copies for some friends.

Dinopotamus Solves a Mystery is part of the Dinopotamus Series. Is a children’s book that children ages 4-8 can enjoy. My six year old son loved this book and as usual we’ve read it several times. He loved the colorful illustrations that brought the story to life. Dinopotamus spot where he lays down is always warm when he gets up. So he is on a mission to solve the Mystery. We highly recommend reading this cute story. As always we look forward to reading more from this Author.

This was a good book that pulled me in and I enjoyed the writing. This was a little different than my normal read but I liked the direction the author took this story and it wasn’t too over the top for me. The three main characters are Derek, Justine & Jordan. They were all great mc’s and I enjoyed learning the little things that they did in their lives and what made them tick. Do I normally pick up love triangle books? No.. but did I still enjoy this one? Yes! This book was fast paced, Suspenseful and had a few twists and interesting turns. I am looking forward to reading more by this author in the future and definitely more from this series!
Murder the Tey Way is the second intriguing book in the Golden Age of Mystery Book Club series by Marilyn Levinson. This is a cozy, whodunnit mystery done with a nod to ‘Josephine Tey’ – whose counterpart/fellow author, Agatha Christie, was featured in the first book. This is another well woven and engrossing mystery with plenty of tension, suspense, drama, interesting characters, secrets, and crime & investigation. Lexie Driscoll is pulled into another mystery when murder strikes in her own backyard. With her sister the prime suspect, the stakes are pretty high- so Lexie is determined to unravel the mystery and uncover the killer- reflecting on the stories of Josephine Tey to help her ‘solve’ the crime. Looking forward to seeing what Ms. Levinson does next. Happy Reading…

Okay…I know Chamberlain was K.C.’s first boyfriend, first everything, practically first friend but I hope that in the years separating them, K.C. grew up a little. There are big fat giant reasons she should have but that doesn’t mean that she did. Don’t even get me started on what Gwen did. That was wrong on soooooo many levels.
K.C. grew up on the right side of Boston. Connected parents that expected to play a role in their political aspirations and to “honor” the family name. This wasn’t who K.C. was. K.C. loved to dance and didn’t want the education path that her parents laid out for her. She didn’t want to be the trophy wife waiting at home for her philandering husband wondering where he was. K.C. needed to break away from her parents and after meeting Chamberlain, K.C. found the strength.
Chamberlain wasn’t anything that K.C. was. His father was a firefighter that was killed in the line when Chamberlain was 13. His mother died three years later, leaving him without family or anyone at 16. Luckily, Chamberlain was able to crash with Scott, a dear friend since elementary school. Chamberlain was working towards his goal of becoming a professional boxer. And he was close.
Chamberlain and K.C. were instant fire from the moment they met. Chamberlain gave K.C. the real world experiences she missed by growing up to fit the trophy wife mold. He took her to the zoo, he took her to a carnival and rode the ferris wheel, he took her go-cart riding, he took her to a movie. With Chamberlain, K.C. got the chance to be a person. The only problem was that there were others that thought of Chamberlain as theirs and kept trying to step in between Chamberlain and K.C., including his childhood friend Gwen. Yeah, she was going to be a big problem.

I accidentally grabbed the 4th book instead of the first book, but I decided to go ahead and read it anyways and see how it turned out. I am always a fan of stories about Greek mythology and this story did not disappoint at all! It’s a great story and from what I can see a really great series, I am looking forward to going and checking out the previous books. I am looking forward to getting to see more of the relationship built between Tally and her Angel Jophiel. This story was well written and had the Greek mythology woven into the modern day world. This is an easy to read story that I think middle schoolers especially, but readers of all ages can and will enjoy. There is humor, adventure, mystery, and mythology all rolled into a very descriptive story that paints a vivid picture that makes you feel like you really are right there in the story. I can’t wait to check out the rest of the series!

This was the first book I had picked up by this author and far from the last! I am such a huge fan of the horror and thriller genres, so as soon as caught a glimpse of this cover, I knew I had to pick it up. After reading the synopsis, I immediately dove in and didn’t come up for air until the end! This book grips you immediately in the first few pages and never lets go. I cannot stress enough how genius this writing style is. I am blown away that I have never heard of this author before, but I am recommending them to everyone now. This is a gripping, original read with absolutely incredibly horrifying imagery description of the Grumemonsters. I’m so excited to have found this author even if this does give me nightmares. If you are looking for a phenomenal horror book with intense twists and turns throughout, please do yourself a favor and pick this book up right now!

Discovering Desire: A billionaire, mafia, steamy, love triangle romance (Shattered Embrace Series Book 3) 3.5 stars
I was so excited when I saw this book was out since I loved the first two so much. There were some great and promising moments but I felt there some missed opportunities.
Derek is one of the top Dom’s at Shattered Embrace. In the first two books he was there but more background as Zachary’s younger brother and Ashton’s best friend. We learn a lot about Derek and his back story.
Justine a grad student who has been hanging out at the club doing research finds that she is fascinated by Derek but also afraid. She ends up paired with him and everything changes between them.
I have read each of the books by Ms. Quinn, there have been some pretty incredible scenes not with only the main couple. I’m intrigued with Reid and looking forward to reading his story next.
The End of Try Try Again has good advice if you are just starting your weight loss journey or have no clue where to start. It is highly detailed with why losing weight is a great idea for everyone. It is motivating by having you find your WHY. It does have good advice on how to take small steps at a time for sustainable weight loss. It details what can happen if you don’t become healthy. For me this book did not hit what I was looking for due to my research and diligence on being healthy. I wish there was more details or a detailed plan that I would be able to implement.

I have loved this entire series, but this is definitely my favorite of them all so far! I was hooked from the very first chapter and the rest of the book felt like it flew by. After just a few pages, I felt transported into the world that this author had expertly crafted. Although there are plenty of steamy scenes throughout this book, the author doesn’t rely on it to carry the story whatsoever. The plot had strong themes of action, suspense, and drama as well as the Dom/sub scene. I highly recommend reading the previous books in the series to experience the flow that the author had intended. I always enjoy it when books are written in multiple points of view as it helps to gain each character’s perspective a little bit better. It was incredible to experience each chapter in Justine, Derek, and Jordan’s eyes. If you are looking for a spicy romance with more to the plot than just steam, this should be your next book! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
Intrigue and complexity draw you near and hold you victim. Honestly, I love a good thriller/ horror movie, but I don’t necessarily read many this one was a must. The cover, the title, everything about Christopher Alan Broadstone’s first novel Puzzleman draws you in. At least for us thriller/horror fans. It all begins with an earring. The web of complexity that leads to each of the characters or better, yet victims make you hold your breath. I will admit I was up waaaay past my bedtime with this one. Once I started, I couldn’t find a place where I was willing to stop, I had to know what happened next. While the complexity and twists of how everyone and everything tied into each other made me think of famous franchises, this book took it to an entirely different level or mind blowing. Forever in my mind after this read “no one is sane down a drain, and down a drain no one is sane”. Everything about this world tells you to run. The mystery, the puzzles, the characters, the intrigue, they all tell you to stay, to go down the drain and discover the truth. I truly cannot wait to see what this otherworldly author comes up with next.

Another great adventure with Tally and her angel! This time Tally and her dad are vacationing in Greece. She gets to experience the Greek culture and food and make new friends. I loved that the Greek Gods were a major part of this book. Hard decisions are made in this adventure and overall I love the lessons that Tally learns at the end. This story can be enjoyed by all ages but is meant for those in middle school. I love that you can learn about different parts in the world with this series! I cannot wait for their next adventure in Africa.

Cadence is stuck in a relationship with her boyfriend she met in college. It isn’t until her sister talks her into going to a local bar to see a rock group perform when she realizes she isn’t living her life but her boyfriend’s life. What she didn’t expect was a connection she felt with the lead singer of Rebel Rebellion Damien Walker who also feels a connection. The story of Cadence and Damien spoke to me in a way I didn’t expect and I read it all the way thru in one evening. The characters were very relatable and the author did a great job world building.

4 – 4.5 stars I have not read anything by this author before but have heard good things about her writing, so I was excited to get my hands on this book. This is not the original story, Sophie has revamped it and only just rereleased it. It is a heartwarming small town second chance story of love and the struggles and heartache along the way. It is a small town where everyone knows each other but do they “really” know each other? Jessie and Cam were meant to be, but someone wants her out the way but who, why? So much has been hidden behind secrets, lies, pain, who is behind the manipulation, the lies, the letters, the threats. Sophie has thrown in some twists with some drama, some suspense and a touch of mystery and secrets to be uncovered. The story is told with different times and dates and has a lot of flashbacks, so the story is a little slow to start but don’t worry it does pick up. With great characters, great friends and a wonderful romance you can’t go wrong with this read.

Donna has become one of my go to authors since I discovered her way back when. I wasn’t to much of a sci fi fan until I started reading her work. Now I get so excited when I see a new book. One click and it is in my hot little hands. Lost Hollow is a compelling small town Sci Fi suspense romance tale and could be my favourite book of Donna’s so far. This complex vividly rich story has been cleverly woven together. There are many moving parts and multiple layers. I am not going to tell you anything more because it is so good you need to head in and peel back these layers to reveal the prize underneath. This gripping tale is full of danger, violence, suspense, intrigue, conspiracies, mystery, beings from other worlds, war and rivalries. Engrossing doesn’t even begin to tell how good this story is. This amazing series is really Sci Fi at its best. I need more now and can’t wait for the next book in this new series. Moira is determined to find her missing twin sister and finds herself in Allenville but it is not just a normal little town. Nothing is as it seems. No, it holds secrets that others don’t see. Will she find her sister, or will she become another mystery to be solved in this town?

I was intrigued by the title and cover. I wasn’t exactly sure what I was getting into but I do like horror so I figured I’d give it a try. I wouldn’t necessarily classify this as horror but definitely a thriller. I haven’t read a book in a long time that has made me think wtf as much as I did reading this one! It was very interesting how each of the characters were connected in one way or another and the nightmare they were living through. This book is not for the faint of heart, but if you love books that make you question your sanity, give this one a chance. It will be awhile before I get some images out of my head.

After reading Murder a la Christie the first fun book in the Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub I thought I would take a look at this book. Murder the Tey Way is a carefully woven modern day “Whodunnit”. In the first book we met Lexie and her Bookclub buddies who were using Agatha Christies style to find a killer. Now they are embroiled in another murder mystery but do it the way of Josephine Tey another accomplished writer in her time. I sense a theme here and I like it. Marilyn has once again given us a multilayered web of complex puzzles to wade. There is drama, danger, intrigue, mystery, suspense, tension, and suspense. There is a lot to unravel, layers to peel back and work through when Lexie’s sister finds her boyfriend murdered and then she goes missing. With a cast of many eclectic characters everyone is a suspect in this engrossing read. Murder the Tey Way is a good cosy mystery with lots of secrets.

3.5 stars Casting Vows is the third book in the Hearts of Gold series. Two men one woman in this MMF historical romance tale set in the 1880’s of Los Angeles. In this story we have Eden, Nico and Matty who find themselves attracted to one another. Nico and Matty had been best friends since they were kids and parted ways but now, they are standing face to face once more. Nico loves Eden but he also loves the man from his past. They all have some reconciliation of their pasts before moving on. As I have said before I love a ménage that is done well with that sizzling connection you get but I felt a little cheated with this tale. I wanted more. I felt disconnected from the characters which distracted me from fully immersing myself in their lives and in this tale even though we caught up with old friends from the previous books. If you like historical romance with MMF characters, then give this one a go.
Make sure to read the authors warning before you read this book. Blurring the Lines: & Extras is a novella and the sequel to Blind Rebels Series. This is how the rock band, The Blind Rebels started. Also, bonus! We get several extra scenes from the Blind Rebels series. Being a famous rock band is hard and comes with what people think of as perks but what you don’t always see is the gritty, raw, and debilitating consequences of said fame. Everything and anything you want, you got it. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and losing will cost you everything. Amy sure knows her rock bands and her writing evokes strong emotional senses. Talk about roller coaster. She brings complex characters to life. For anyone who loves rockstar stories but his isn’t your typical rockstar story.
Puzzleman: A Macabre Thriller throws you into a dark world of twists and turns, intricate details, and realistically written characters. I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of time and research that went into the writing, with nods at Greek Mythology and WWII that I noticed. this is definitely one of the most creative and intricately original books I have read in quite awhile, and I loved the strangeness of it all. This is one that will keep you guessing, and the fact that the characters are imperfect makes it much more believable and emerges you even deeper into the experience. Upon checking into this author, I have found he also has a some horror shorts that are also very well written and quite good stories. I will surely be reading more from this author.

Blurring the Lines if the prequel story to the main series, and gives the reader a glimpse into the events that lead to the first story. This is the first book that I have read by this author and it was a great way to become familiar with her work and these characters. I really enjoyed getting to know them in this backstory and it has definitely left me wanting to know more. I enjoyed the writing style of the author. It was easy to be pulled into the pace of the story and become invested in what was happening. I already know that I will enjoy getting to see more about this characters and I am really glad to have picked up this book.
Ummm…let me just start off with saying that I need Book 2 immediately!! I was hooked from the first page and I could not put this one down! There are characters you love and characters that you will absolutely hate and I’m here for it all. I don’t want to spoil anything but the dynamics between KC and Chamberlain…you’ll need a fan! I’ve read other books by May and this one is similar but different in a way that I’m not entirely sure about but I absolutely love it! I cannot wait to get my hands on Book 2 and see where May is taking us!
