After reading Murder a la Christie the first fun book in the Golden Age of Mystery Bookclub I thought I would take a look at this book.
Murder the Tey Way is a carefully woven modern day “Whodunnit”. In the first book we met Lexie and her Bookclub buddies who were using Agatha Christies style to find a killer. Now they are embroiled in another murder mystery but do it the way of Josephine Tey another accomplished writer in her time. I sense a theme here and I like it.
Marilyn has once again given us a multilayered web of complex puzzles to wade. There is drama, danger, intrigue, mystery, suspense, tension, and suspense. There is a lot to unravel, layers to peel back and work through when Lexie’s sister finds her boyfriend murdered and then she goes missing.
With a cast of many eclectic characters everyone is a suspect in this engrossing read.
Murder the Tey Way is a good cosy mystery with lots of secrets.
