Avenging Devil Part 2: Satan's Devils MC San DiegoAvenging Devil Part 2: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Avenging Devil Part 2 is the fourth novel in the Satan’s Devils MC San Diego series by Manda Mellett. It continues where Part 1 left off and, if possible, it is better than the first! Talk about non-stop action!

Saffie and Niran continue their journey of getting to know one another and through all of it bring all the chapters of the Satan’s Devils together.

Manda Mellett’s MC novels are some of the best novels! The further you get into all of the series the better they get. The characters and world she has built is amazing and full on action all the time.

I hope there is more to come of the San Diego chapter, but until then I hope to catch up on some of the other chapters’ stories!

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance) (Moonlit Destination Series) by Amy McKinley – Review by Kari Williams

Moonlit Kiss (A Venice Romance)Moonlit Kiss by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Moonlit Kiss is my sixth novel by Amy McKinley and it is absolutely the most unique!

It takes place in the magical city of Venice where Gianna took a job to refresh artwork on the side of a home in the city. Little does Gianna know that she is already connected to the city in a way that she likely never could have imagined.

Sergio happens upon an American woman at a cafe in town and knows that that moment is life changing for him as well.

Both Gianna and Sergio feel a pull for each other that is hard to understand, but life is funny that way and all these things that happen to them, ultimately bring them closer together.

This story was truly unqiue and so romantic, tragic, and full of emotion!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This novella packed a lot of feelings in it! Moonlit Whisper follows Fiona and her being caught between the man that was there when she was at her lowest and the love of her life that left.

What happens when Connor comes back and stirs up all those feelings that never truly left, that are just buried? Will the jealously between all parties break apart everyrhing?

This was a super quick read, but I loved the writing and how complete the story felt for a novella. Nicely done!

Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander – Review by Kari Williams

Mountains Wanted (Mountains #1)Mountains Wanted by Phoebe Alexander
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mountains Wanted is the first book in the Mountains series by Phoebe Alexander. It is a unique story that really gets your feelings going. I will say it has some themes that are not usually my cup of tea, but it was well written and kept me wanting more.

Sarah is a professor at the University of Maryland (UMD). She teaches Sociology and in turn studies some pretty unique topics that she also practices in her own life. As a single mom, life isn’t always easy, but somehow she manages to get through each day.

James is in charge of the ROTC program at UMD and meets Sarah at a lecture she gives on evening at the University.

Sarah and James hit it off, obvious chemistry between them, but with life and personalities as they are, will they get in the way?

The insecurities the characters have in this novel are so real. It makes for a very realistic read! I appreciate being able to venture out of my own norm. If you are looking for an interesting and unique read, this novel is for you!

Brink of Denial (Sons of Sindicato #1)Brink of Denial by Cam Johns
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Holy cow!! What a bombshell of a story! Brink of Denial is the first full length novel in the Sons of Sindicato series by Cam Johns and Sonya Jesus. After the way the novella prequel ended, I literally couldn’t put it down!

Dane is get set to take over the leader position of the Sindicato. He is trying to balance his love and hatred for his first and only love as she flits in and out of his life. When she decides to come back for good, will he be forgiving enough to give them another real shot?

Mila is a super model, supposedly having lived the dream. But when the dream turns dull and is really just a chore she is ready to leave on a high note, but when that high note is jeopardized, she has to come up with another plan.

The chemistry, the hot and cold, between Dane and Mila is intense! The feelings were real and you really felt everything the characters feel! I love the world that these authors built in New Jersey and seriously cannot wait for the next book!

It is my fourth or fifth novel as part of these interconnected MC series by this author and this one blew me away. I was hooked right from the beginning and didn’t want to put it down.

Hawk is Wizard’s VP in the Tucson chapter of the Satan’s Devils. He has followed in his father’s footsteps his whole life, but what if that isnt what he wants anymore?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Amy’s Santa: Satan’s Devils MC (Second Generation) is the first in a new series expanding the world of the Tuscon, Arizona MC by Manda Mellett. I really enjoyed this telling of Amy and Drew (Wizard) finding their way back to each other.

After Amy left the compound to go to school and forge ahead in her life, Drew (Wizard) devoted himself to the MC and quickly climbed the ranks.

Even though Amy didn’t really want to come back for Christmas this year, she knew it would be more suspicious if she didn’t come back. So when she finds herself in the middle of the normal Christmas time festivities her father interveens and maybe, just maybe Amy’s life is about to shift onto a different course.

I really enjoyed the Arizona Satan’s Devils MC and cannot wait for more!

The Executive's Decision (Keller Family, #1)The Executive’s Decision by Bernadette Marie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Executive’s Decision is the first novel in the Keller Family series by Bernadette Marie. It is a steamy office romance that doesn’t disappoint!

Regan Keller is back in Nashville, where she grew, near most of her family, and starting over. She is just starting a new job as an executive assistant to the CEO of a successive architectural firm.

Zachary Benson is carrying on the family legacy. Running the firm his grandfather started and doing a pretty darn good job of it.

When she later finds out who that stranger really is, she cannot help but feel duped. But what if the one thing she told herself she would stay away from is exactly what she needs in her life?

Best Of My Love (Love in Emerald Creek) by N.D. Jackson – Review by Kari Williams

Best of my LoveBest of my Love by N.D. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed Best of my Love by N.D. Jackson. The characters actions were a little confusing sometimes, but overall, I enjoyed the fact that each was going through their own personal struggles.

Andrea, or Dre as she prefers to be called, is obligated to go back home to help her best friend and her best friend’s kids after a terrible situation. She hadn’t been home in about a decade because the last time she was there she was betrayed by the person she loved the most.

Erick messed up big time all those years ago. Now he may have the opportunity to win Dre back, if she would even speak to him.

Admittedly, Erick’s act of betrayal is a little confusing, but I dont think overall that took away from the story. Even though Dre was a really tough character I liked that you could easy follow her personal growth through a few different areas if her life. The story kept me interested and I didnt want to put it down – what more could you ask for!

THE MYSTERY OF THE LOST AVENGER (ANNIE TILLERY MYSTERIES) by LINDA MARIA FRANK – Review by Kari Williams

The Mystery of the Lost AvengerThe Mystery of the Lost Avenger by Linda Maria Frank
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Mystery of the Lost Avenger is a cute mystery story. It is the fourth story in the Annie Tillery Mystery. I haven’t read the other three mysteries, but this was a fun, quick read.

Annie is about to go off to college, but during her last couple weeks before moving, her mom gets a call from the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) about a letter from her Great Grandma. Instead of relaxing the last bit before leaving for school, she finds herself in the middle of a mystery and learning about the woman of WWII who were their own kind of heroes.

When thr mystery just keeps unfolding, Annie and Ty (Annie’s boyfriend) keep using resources they’ve met through other mysteries.

This was a fun mystery based on family ties and history. A cold case is generally tough, but Annie and Ty and the rest of the bunch solved the case, no problem!

Murder at Lolly Beach (Eve Sawyer mystery series Book 2) by Jane Suen – Review by Kari Williams

Murder at Lolly Beach (Eve Sawyer #2)Murder at Lolly Beach by Jane Suen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Murder at Lolly Beach is the second novel in the Eve Sawyer series by Jane Suen. It picks up shortly after the first story, Murder Creek, during the summer between semesters for Eve.

We get to meet more of Eve’s friends while she heads to the beach with her friend Cassie for some relaxation. Too bad it quickly turns into a trip not even remotely related to relaxation. After Cassie’s friend in town is attacked it all goes downhill from there. Unfortuntely for Eve, her curiousity prevents her from sitting it out and just enjoying the beach.

I enjoyed this novel because you get to know the main character of the series better! Sometimes I wish there was a little more “meat” in each chapter/scene, but this is a quick, interesting read!

When Eve arrives to town and starts asking questions some of the locals are helpful and others are hostile about the questions. Ultimately Eve finds the answers she is looking for.

The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink – Review by Kari Williams

The Sound of SilenceThe Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To say that this novel was spectacular seems like a bit of an understatement…it was mindblowing! The Sound of Silence is the first book I’ve read by author Dakota Willink, but will certainly not be the last. Wow!

This novel contains many triggers, but it is so raw and so real. It is so well written that the emotions you feel are right there with the characters in the story. It is a mulitple point of view and that just adds more depth, in my opinion.

Gianna is trying to start over. Her marriage started off well enough but quickly morphed into something truly terrible. When she was finally able to get away she thought she was home free, but that didn’t turn out to be the case.

Derek is a native New Yorker and a successful business owner. When he is away on a business trip while trying to start his business he meets this girl that haunts him for years to come. But what if fate brings her back into his life? Will he have the opportunity to make something of it?

This story reaches into our soul and takes everything! I’m truly in awe of the story and the writing! Thank you for a truly inspiring novel Dakota Willink!

I really enjoyed the second installment of this series and truly cannot wait to delve more into this series and this author’s other series!
