My Pearl Heart by J.N. Sheats – Review by Kay Stritesky

My Pearl HeartMy Pearl Heart by J.N. Sheats
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a very good very short read. The characters were cute and the story line was good but I felt like parts needed more detail. There were times where I felt like the story “robbed Peter to pay Paul” so to speak! It was definitely a cute, easy read.

Underboss's Retaliation (Sicilian Gods Book 2)Underboss’s Retaliation by Via Mari
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Overall this was a very good book. The plot moved along that it did not become stale but had twist and turns so that it wasn’t easy for the reader to guess.
The beginning started out just a little confusing, I think more context was needed but that was very easy to overcome! Even having not read the first one it did not take away from this book!

It was a very nice read and even though it was set in the old time, the dialogue wasn’t over powering and still made it able to read. The characters (some of them) were lovely however I felt like it needed more especially in the ending. Parts were very well written and explained and some parts really fell flat. I’m hoping a sequel is next to tie up lose ends!

If I had a sister in law like in this book it would be a murder mystery book haha!

Married Blind (Kings of Screen, #2)Married Blind by Morgana Bevan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a nice easy read! Of course to have a love story there’s a happy ending but I wanted more, I felt like something was missing as I read. I dont know if it was more back story but the story felt very forced. The characters were great but more development could have been for both! Over all a good love story if you like an ending you expect!

This was such an incredibly cute read, with characters that you feel like you know! I personally loved that coming from a small town, I felt like this books was written about what I know. The plot kept moving so readers didn’t feel like the story was getting stale, but I kept flipping the pages. I would love to read more by this author.

While this was an easy read it just felt like something was missing! I was waiting for that hook to pull me in and make me not want to put the book down. While the characters are nice I think the development could have been better. As far as sports go the storyline stayed true to the genre of book!

The book was a fun read but I was waiting for that one moment that would capture my attention and let me know I could not put the book down! The characters are well developed, and the story line is well written I just wanted more. I dont know if I was hoping for a darker story and got something lighter but I feel like this could have been a 5/5 instead of a 3/5!

This was a very fun, easy read. That characters were relatable and you could feel their chemistry coming off the pages. I’ve never understood the “Teacher/Student” romance pull but despite the title of this book you could tell there was more meat to the story than just that! I would definitely look into more books by this author!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Amy has written another banger! While I have already read the mafia elite series and loved every single book in it, it was nice to be taken back to the beginning! This book really can be read before or after reading mafia elite, but I enjoyed reading it after to fill in little gaps you think there are in the mafia elite series. You cannot go wrong with any book by Amy.

I absolutely enjoyed the collection of stories that made this up! Each author was different but each one really brought Christmas through the pages! As I read I decorated my house and let the Christmas spirit envelope me! Each character brought something to the table and each story was long enough to tell readers the story but not too long that it felt drawn out!

I really enjoyed this book! It was fun and lighthearted without having that vibe of “I’m to old to be reading this”
The characters were fun and had good chemistry! There was a witty banter and enough of a story line to keep readers attention without it being to cheesy! It was a nice change from the heavy things I have been reading lately.

You cannot go wrong with these books! Whether reading or listening the author and narrator is so good at keeping the readers attention and telling the story so that the reader is left wanting more. I love that while I have snagged this series every chance I get, these books can be read by themselves or in order. I also love the series that break off from each of these books. 10/10 readers will not be disappointed with any book this author gives us!

The characters came to life in my mind so vividly as I read that I felt myself in the story living the plot. The characters were raised polar opposites, but in any good story opposites attract! The story takes enough twists and turns that my attention was kept the whole time and even though I felt like the story was complete I wanted more!
