Edward Petrosky is back and so are the super evil people in his life. A killer is back, back from the histories of Petrosky’s own past and he isn’t prepared for what that might mean. Setting aside the fact that he can barely get through the day without taking a shot of whiskey in the morning, a waitress from his favorite diner has gone missing, and she is due with her baby any day now. When the baby shows up, abandoned in the basement of a rundown house, Petrosky is worried she may be already dead. Is it the killer? O’Flynn is a fabulous story teller. I have LOVED this series from Volume 1 – 10. This is a fabulous series and is best read in story book order. 4 out of 5 stars.

Witness: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 9) by Meghan O’Flynn 5 out of 5 Stars The pulp fiction, crime thriller books that O’Flynn keeps writing, is nothing short of impressive. This is book 9 in the Ash Park series and hot dang what a series. This series is most defiantly a series order read. Meaning you need to start a book 1 and work your way to this book to get the best out of this book. We are back with Detective Edward Petrosky. This man is his own type of messed up. He has seen some terrors and has lived to tell the tale. It’s like the bad luck just wants to hang around and follow him. So when he gets the simple B&E, he thinks this one will be easier, however, it is far from it. Mix in his adopted family, the crazy neighbors, and a faked death….does this mean…murder? Vengeance: Sundown Series, Book 5, by Courtney Konstantin 4 out of 5 stars Konstantin is one fantastic author. I love the Sundown Series. Konstantin has continued to bring us amazing stories, and this book is no different. This post-apocalyptic story is a great addition to this series but can be read alone. However, as a lover of books, I recommend reading any series in book order. Max is a strong woman who suffers a seriously tragic accident that changes her world. It is hard to describe what goes on in the book without giving too much away but know that this story is both suspenseful and highly emotional. I rarely cry in a book, but this one had me holding back some sobs. I recommend this book for YA, dystopian fantasy, mystery, and thriller. I highly recommended. 4 out of 5 stars.

Black Dog Rising by Kat Caulberg 4 out of 5 Stars Emma Aubrey is a force to be reckoned with. This sweet romance has a twist of the paranormal but once you read about Emma, you fall head over heels for her. Toby himself is mysterious, and I love a handsome mysterious innkeeper. Who wouldn’t want to fall in love with someone like that? Caulberg did a fantastic job of engaging the reader and keeping the suspense and mystery going until the very end. I also LOVED reading about the English stores of paranormal creatures. I recommended this book for lovers of mystery, romance, paranormal, and sci-fi. 4 out of 5 stars.

Dead Lawyers Don’t Lie: A Gripping Thriller (Jake Wolfe Book 1) by Mark Nolan 4 out of 5 Stars This book is the first in the Jake Wolfe series and let me tell you that it is very fast-paced. I love crime, drama, mystery, and murder genres. But the book had my head reeling. This wasn’t at all bad at times. I loved the fast action most of the time. Similar to when you are watching a good movie and the fight scene is just THAT good. But I did find myself having to go back and reread a few portions to figure out something because there was much to the plot that I could not remember it all. However, having said all that, If I was ever in trouble, I would want Jake Wolfe to come to bail me out, because, dang. That man can really help a girl out. Jake is a war vet who is determined to protect those around him from the trouble that seems to find him. This is a good book for lovers of mysteries, suspense, action, and adventure. The character dialogue is hilarious and the action is fast.

Grumbler’s Ride: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #2 by Manda Mellett 4 out of 5 stars Book 2 in the Satan’s Devil Series is just as amazing as the first. Grumbler is a tough dude that is all mush at heart. He is the definition of a tough teddy bear. Mary and her daughter are exactly what Grumbler needs in his life. Softness and light with a little bit of laughter. But as expected there are some growing pains when a single mom and teenage daughter start to hang around an MC Club, and quite hilariously so I might add. This book is equal parts sweet and loving. Grumbler was written just for Mary and Alicia needed a person like Grumber to come in a be that glue that keeps her from feeling that the world is falling apart around her. Lovers of the MC world will love this series. This builds on the book before and sets up for books to come and LOVE that about a series. I love that you can get the history of characters before you are able to visit them in their stories.

I have been following along with this series since the beginning and I cannot believe we are here at the end. All good things must come to an end I suppose, but WHY? Age of Druids: Druids Brooch Series#9 by Christy Nicholas is a book that is full of romance, action, and danger. Clíodhna is a strong woman with a will of Iron. She has babies to protect and she is determined to do so. She is a fiery woman and when she has her back against the wall, she is determined to do what is necessary to save herself and her family, with or without the help of the beautiful stranger she met in the woods. THAT INCREDIBLE KISS (Kissed By Fate Book 3) by Tamara Ferguson 4 out of 5 stars The fabulous Tamara Ferguson never fails to deliver an amazing story with complex characters, a well-developed storyline, and an overall tale that has your heart crying for more. The third book in the Kissed by Fate series, That Incredible Kiss, is another notch in her belt. Ashley and Brian and two amazing leads who snag your heartstrings the minute you meet them. Ashley took a bit to grown into, but knowing how Ferguson writes, I knew that this character’s development was worth waiting for. Brian is a war veteran who is both damaged and traumatized. These two characters meeting again, after years apart is a balm for the soul and the heart. Add in a twisted mystery, a spooky cave or two, and a house with more secrets than the government, and you have a top-notch story. I loved every minute of this book. This book is great for lovers of romance, suspense, thriller, and mystery genres. 4 out of 5 stars.

4 Stars Alamir, Blood of Kaos is the first Book is this new series and it is a great start, Etain is a very powerful woman who came into her power in a bloody and messy way. She is constantly trying to decide who she is able to trust and who is out to get her. While Miller does an impressive job of weaving a tale full of descriptive action scenes and well-developed characters, the strongest point of this story is the supporting characters such as Spirit and Inferno. These characters give color and depth of the story that would otherwise be two dimensional.
Miller is an amazing author who impresses me with her ability to take characters from pages into reality. I am excited for book two.

REBECCA STEELE FINDING THE DREAM (REBECCA STEELE SERIES) Book 2 by Joanne Patterson 4 out of 5 stars Western Romances are very much a hit or miss for me. I feel that the genre has died and that they can often be replaced with the much more exciting world of YA, or Sci-Fi, however, I can eat my words when it comes to the writings of Patterson. Patterson brings the world of Western Romance back to life. The characters of both Becky and Emily warm the heart in such a way that even the darkest soul can feel the hearth burning. Becky is back in the world and adventuring on her own, with Emily there to support everything that she does and laughs along the way. This is a quick read, which I really appreciate, as I rarely have the luxury to sit and indulge in a long read anymore and the chapters were quick and efficient with details and information. Lovers of young adult, women empowerment and coming of age will love this book. 4 out of 5 stars.

Being Lost: Satan’s Devils MC San Diego #1 By Manda Mellett 4 out of 5 Stars MC books are a hit or miss with me. This isn’t a genre that I can identify with or really understand, however, Being Lost, by Manda Mellett is a fantastic book to get started for someone who is looking to cut their teeth on an MC series. These are not your typical heroes and heroines. The main male character is much older than the other books that I read, but I like a silver fox with a plan, and Lost is just that fox. Lost has found himself in charge of the wellbeing of a mature woman and her adult son. They are in danger and the more Lost and Patsy get to know each other, the less he can stomach the thought of something happening to her. Mellett is a fantastic storyteller. She brings depth and life to both character and story. You will not regret picking up this book and starting this series. 4 out of 5 stars. A must-read.

The Lost (Saint Code) by Megan Mackie 4 out of 5 stars I love the name St. Augustina. How freaking cool is that. The Lost is the first book in the Saint Code and St Augustina is one amazing character. She is a super cyber-spy. She is in the thick of the cybernetic revolution. Along with her friend St Benedict, she is in the fight of her life. Thrown in some neo-ninjas, betrayals from friends both new and old and you have a story that will keep you sucked in until the very end. Mackie is an amazing author who never ceases to amaze me. Her style of writing is both effortless and detailed. She can pack an entire action scene within a few pages and you do not feel overwhelmed. This book is for the lover of all genres. Highly recommended for all.

Torch (Lovelock Book 2) by Tricia Copeland 4 out of 5 stars Torch is the second book in the Lovelocked Series. This is a great series. I have a hard time with some young adult series, but this series is amazing. This book gives us the story of Jema and Troy. Jema’s government is after her, for something that is way over her head. There is a disease spreading through the community there is only one cure, and it runs in Jema’s veins. Branded a loyalist to her uncle and a traitor to her country, Jema, and her friends are on the run. Fighting for their lives in a desolate desert, Jema and her friends find a group of sympathizers who will help her. And help her get the cure to the people. This YA dystopian science fiction book has a little bit for all genre lovers. Copeland is an amazing storyteller and she never ceases to amaze me with each new book. Highly recommended for all genre lovers.

Rise is the 2nd installment in the Larussio Legacy series. I am a huge advocate of reading a series in book order, so please go back and read book 1 before picking this one. Via Mari continues with the Larussio family and what a powerful family they are. The most powerful crime family in all of Italy, Don, Giovanni Larussio is obsessed with Serena Moretti, a strong, intelligent woman who was raised to believe that the Larussio family is the source of all that is evil. As time progresses on, Gio and Serena clash and circle around each other in ways that are both heated and passionate. When Serena and her family become targets of enemies of the Larussio family, Gio will stop at nothing to keep Serena safe, and I mean nothing. Via Marii is an incredibly talented writer. Her stories are so well written that you start the first past and the next thing you know, you are 100 pages in. You will not regret starting this series.

Out of The Shadows by Theresa Sederholt 5 out of 5 Stars Dane Johnson, a man so broken by the secret he is holding that it is tearing him apart. Warning that this book may trigger some people who are sensitive to acts of violence, both mentally and on some base, physically, so If you are more tenderhearted than others, this book may be a bit much for you, so tread carefully. Having said all of that, this book is beautifully written from Dane’s point of view. While not wanting to give you too much of what happens, this story is so heartbreaking, so emotionally charged, and so devastating that you are both crying and cheering for Dane at the same time. I feel that I am a better person for reading this book. I highly recommend this book for lovers of all book genres.

Naomi (Maggie Trilogy Book 2) by Mya O’Malley 4 out of 5 Stars Naomi is the second book in the Maggie Trilogy. Do future self a favor and read Maggie, Book One. While not necessary to read this book, you learn a lot about Naomi in Maggie and I feel that it is a huge benefit when carrying on a character. Naomi went through a lot with Maggie in the first book and now, she gets a shot to tell her story. This is a paranormal romance novel. If you love ghost stories, then this one is right up your alley. Naomi is high on cloud nine. Planning a wedding and looking forward to starting her life with her own personal hottie, Bryce, but when her past comes rushing back in a vicious and violent way. Naomi will do everything in her power, both physically and paranormally to keep Bryce and his daughter safe from the violence. I love this book. It was a fabulous way to continue Naomi’s story and a fantastic edition to this series. I cannot wait for more.

Famished: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 1 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This book is one heck of a way to start a series. This is a slow burn type of read. It takes a bit for the main plot to get up and running but when it does. BAM, it takes off of the ground and hits it running. Set in the pits of a run-down suburb of Detroit. There is a serial killer, lurking, picking off women and hacking them into bits. Hannah is trying to convince herself that she has nothing to do with it, but then, her boyfriend is murdered in the exact same gruesome way and the police name her the number one suspect. Hannah didn’t kill her boyfriend, or any of the other people. The problem is, she knows who did, and unless she does something about it, they will keep killing. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.
Conviction: An Ash Park Novel, Volume 2 by Meghan O’Flynn 4 out of 5 Stars This book is intense. If there was ever a white-knuckled thriller, this book would be in the running. I could not turn the pages fast enough on this book. Shannon Taylor is the main character for this book and lord have mercy is she a powerhouse. Being a District Attorney for her city means that she has to be tough as nails and when she has to deal with the lowest of the low, she is as tough as they come, except when it evidence shows that she may have put a young mother in jail for a murder that she didn’t commit. That will crack the edges of even the hardest hearts. Shannon knows the girls is hiding something but she won’t say what, or who it is and Shannon herself becomes the victim/target of warnings and targeted messages. Shannon has to race against the clock to protect herself and to right the wrong she has done by putting the right person behind bars, she just isn’t sure if she will be put into the ground first. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, emotions and strong details. Most defiantly an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book none the less. But all of that comes crashing to a halt when his wife and daughter go missing and his life goes into a tail spin. Someone from his past is coming back to get him, and they are making his live h*ll. He has spent the better half of his adult life trying to get away from the life he left, but someone does not want him to forget. Someone wants him to remember and they want to make him remember in a way that will hurt him the worst, and time is running out. Ms O’Flynn is a very talented writer. This book was full of passion, secondary emotions and strong details. I loved every second of this book. Most definitely an 18+ for the strong language and violence but a fantastic book nonetheless. If you love James Patterson, or books similar, you will love this book.

Rule (The Larussio Legacy Book 1) by Via Mari 4 out of 5 Stars What a fantastic way to start a new series. Via Mari never ceases to amaze me with both her quality of writing and her development of characters. This book brings in characters from her previous books. While not a necessity, I would recommend reading Via Mari’s previous works to know more about the family and the dynamic behind it. Rule is a romantic/suspense novel that follows the characters of Katarina and Chase. The love these two have for each other is tangible. You can feel how hot they are for each other from the pages of the book, (or kindle). Katarina is caught with wanting to make her Italian father proud, while at the same time, honoring the wishes of her husband. She has to try to get her family to trust and agree that she knows what is best with the family business. Chase will do everything in his power to ensure Katarina’s protection, even risking the wrath of her mob family. The drama that ensures with both Katarina and Chase and then the families is fast paced, quick witted and passionate. You will need to read to find out what happens and you will not be disappointed.

Not a Good Death: Agents of Dart Series Book Two by Naomi Bellina 4 out of 5 stars This romantic suspense story will have you filling the pages to the very end. Not a Good Death is the second book in the Agents of Dart series and is a fantastic follow up piece for book one. While each book can be read as a standalone, I am a huge advocate for reading a series in book order. This story follows Lilly and Dillon who are both agents of DART, a division of the FBI. Lilly is a seasoned agent with DART and Dillion has just finished his training and has been assigned to work with Lilly who is now both is partner on and off the job. On their very first assignment together, everything goes haywire and now they are neck deep in a murder investigation. I enjoyed these characters very much and while at times I found their exchanges more bickering than banter, the plot moved along smoothly and the story was very gripping. A solid 4 out of 5 stars for any lovers of the thriller, romance, or mystery genres.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons by L.M Mountford 4 out of 5 stars This book collection is one hot and sizzling collection. Each book is just as hot as the last and each one will leave you wanting more from L.M Mountford. Each of the seven stories in this collection are different that the last and the variety of the stories is a breath of fresh air as you are immersed into a new story each time with new and complex characters that bring life to each of the short stories. The story line, plot, and characters are very well developed. The paragraphs and sentence structures are full and flows from one to the next. The pace was neither hurried nor too slow. The author kept pace with each one while seamlessly transition from one story to the next. Highly recommended for lovers of romance and binge readers!
Darcy’s Caution (Pride and Prejudice and Racecars Book 3) by Zoe Burton 4 out of 5 stars The third installment of this romance sportsman book will get your heart racing. Will is a stock car driver who loves when the rubber meets the road, but he loves Liz even more. Liz is smart, independent and super stubborn. She is also absolutely head over heels in love with Will. These two together are absolutely beautiful and their love for each other is incredible. Outside forces threaten Will and Darcy and a jealous stalker threatens the safety of Liz. Will cannot stand that Liz could be in trouble. When Liz disappears, Will won’t stop at nothing to get her back. Burton does an incredible job of creating both a romantic and suspenseful story that will have you turning the page faster and faster to find out what happens to Will and Liz Darcy.

Undercover (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 2) by Via Mari 4 out of 5 stars This is the second book in the Billionaire Bodyguards series. Mrs. Mari has brought to us the most unlikely characters who have turned out to be some of my most favorite of all time. Marenah is a granddaughter to a Russian Mafia family. When she begins snooping around to find information on her family and finds something she shouldn’t, she ends up in some serious hot and dangerous water. Matt Benagent is both friend and bodyguard to two of the richest billionaires in Chicago. He goes undercover when both of them are taken in by the Chicago Mafia…but they escape….but the Russian Mafia is after them too?? Matt and Marenah find themselves in a twisted, knotted up fight for their lives as the two mafias battle to find them. What is Marenah’s connect to each of the mafia’s and what will them finding her mean for them both? A great book with fierce characters. A well-developed plot and each story line flows from one to the next. I highly recommend this for lovers of adventure, romance and intrigue.

Proper Impulse (Jaded Lily Book 4) by Zeia Jameson. 4 out of 5 stars Milo Cipriani. What a strong name. If I was a dude, I would want a name like Milo Cipriani. Proper Impulse is the 4th installment in the Jaded Lily series. This series is amazing. We first meet Milo in the previous books and I will be honest, he wasn’t left on pretty terms. Milo is a police officer who takes his job very, very seriously. He is stern, uptight and a stick shoved up his rear. He meets his match when he comes face to face with his exact opposite, Juniper. Juniper is free-spirited, fun loving and will wear her heart on her sleeve. She is willing to bend the rules just a little if it means doing the right thing in the long run. Opposites really do attract in this blizzard meeting of Milo and Juniper. This book is dual point of view, which is very refreshing and gives unique insights to each character as the development grows with and between each one. This book can be read as a standalone. Myself, I highly recommend reading all books in series order as the author intended. Beautiful story, fantastic characters and another ballpark smash for Ms. Jameson.
Proper Ink (Jaded Lily Book 2) by Zeia Jameson 4 out of 5 Stars
There are few characters who snag my heart quite like Luca. What a heart throb he his. While this book can be read as a standalone, I am a big supporter of reading a series in book order, in the way the author wrote the stories for you to get the most out of the books/series.
Luca is a character we see from the first book, Proper Irish, and I was so excited to see his story. Luca is a typical artist, a tattoo artist. He is all about his art, the purity of his art and the way Jameson describes the art to the reader brings them to life. I can practically see the art and imagine the fine lines and details. He is also a broken man. He is recovering from having his heart smashed and he hides behind a sordid expression.
Kerry is a beautiful soul. From the outside, she seems to have lived a charmed life and anyone of us would be jealous of, but she has a huge chip on her shoulder from her gilded life.
These two clash in an explosion of passion, attitude, and emotions. This book is a perfect extension to Proper Irish and is a beautiful insight into the lives of Luca and Kerry. I loved getting to know them and watching their relationship built and crest.
Jameson is a fantastic author. She builds and weaves a story and bridges both character and reader. She creates a masterpiece that draws you in a keeps you. You don’t even realize you are holding your breath. Highly Recommended!
Wayward (Billionaire Bodyguards Book 1) By Via Mari 4 out of 5 stars
What a way to start a series. Via Mari has always provided engaging, well-developed books and characters and this book is no different.
Jay and Sasha make for one dynamic paring. Sasha is a Russian Ballerina who seems to find herself in the middle of a mafia war where she is pawn. Jay finds himself drawn to Sasha and he cannot seem to put his finger on it, but regardless, he feels that needs to protect her. After he finds out who she really is and why everyone is after her, he doubles his efforts to keep her safe.
This book is both fast-paced and slow burning. I loved every sentence and I cannot wait until book 2 emerges. Highly recommended.

Vermilion Lies (The Order of the Senary Book 3) by LD Rose 4 out of 5 Stars Dax Knight, what a cool name! Vermilion Lies is the 3rd book in the Senary series that takes us through the story of Dax and Cindel. This story is dark, passionate and in some cases brutal. This dystopian, fantasy world draws you in and you are reluctant to let go. Dax is a Senary who vampire hunting takes him to Cindel, the mate of his mortal enemy. The problem is, she is a vampire. The very thing Dax is designed to destroy. The chemistry between Dax and Cindel is so intense you can feel it from the pages of the book. It is raw, hot and emotional. Ms Rose is a masterful story teller. She never ceases to amaze me with each new book that she releases. Highly recommended for lovers of romance and fantasy.

BECKONED, Part 6: Adrift in New Zealand by Aviva Vaughn 5 out of 5 stars
I have been waiting for this book. I have a soft and squishy spot in the center of my heart for Soren and he really needed to have a store dedicated to him alone. Soren, bless his bleeding heart, has had it rough when it comes to love. He finds himself cut off from his family’s money and in New Zealand, his resort business has found him with some sort of peace…but only some.
Two women from his past show up, and start to reek havoc on his peace, but it may just be the sort of thing Soren needs to get out ot the rut the feels that his life has become. The only thing, he just wishes he could choose between what is right, and what is easy.
Ms. Vaughn is an amazing writer. She has built Soren up through five books so this one was like coming home to an old friend. The writing is both lyrical and poetic. The plot well thought out and does not feel rushed from one scene to another and the sentence structures are full and transition from one thought to another. Overall, this book is a fantastic addition to this series. 5 stars and highly recommended.

Heels of Fortune (PJ Santini Series, Book 2) by Lynne Russell 5 out of 5 Stars First of all, the first PJ Santini book was amazing. It was a one sit read for me. When this book became available, I jumped to one-click it. PJ Santini is a sassy, high-heel loving, novice gumshoe detective, PI and TV reporter. In this latest novel, PJ is investigating the case of her late husband, who she was married to for a very, very, very (you picking up what I’m laying down?) short period of time. Every new piece of information puts PJ in danger but with the help of super hot Tango Daly, her best friend Vicki and her cousin Sandro, she is determined to make it out on the other end of this alive. I loved this book as much as the first and I am so looking forward to what other mischief PJ gets herself into. Highly recommended!

Little Miss Eyes of Blue by Holly Tierney-Bedord 4 out of 5 stars This book was emotionally hard to read. At several points in time I had to point the book down to collect myself and come back to it. I broke down for Veloura. This story of her’s, makes me want to cry. What starts off as a sweet love story where her parent’s fall in love just spirals downhill and never comes back up. Eventually she is in a broken home with two parents who are barely together enough to be able to care for themselves, let alone a young child. Veloura’s care and wellbeing is often neglected and/or overlooked. There is a revolving door of terrible men in and out of her mother’s apartment and then to cap off one partially terrible week, they go hunting for her father, and that ends horribly. In the end, Veloura is left alone. You will have to read the book for the specifics of what happens, but my heart broke for this girl and I wept for her. This book was very hard for me to read and I stopped and started it many times. While not my normal genre of books, I did enjoy it. I was pushed outside of my comfort zone and I do not regret it.
