The rating system is not high enough for this book, nor this author. I worked my ever loving tailbone off reading this story, I felt every emotion ten fold and I literally read this in one sitting. These people in the book had me totally messed up, one minute I was smiling, then I was laughing, then I was ready to kick something and then I’d end up crying. There was one statement in this book that caught me so off guard I swear I spit the water I just drank through my nose….took me 15 minutes to be able to breathe again and set back in to reading.

I want to be adopted into Deacons family, they have to be one of my favorite book families ever and that is also one of my favorite parts of any book is when there is a family feel to the story. Then there’s the bonds of friendship that this author took to a whole new level for me. I loved Saylor, don’t get me wrong but she had me wanting to scream many times in this story but her scenes with Mason redeemed her in my eyes every time, omg they cracked me up.

I could get into the actual storyline but I’m not going to…if you have not read this book trust me when I say this will hit everything you love about reading and I don’t know what to say about this author except that I have many favorites, but when someone asks who my favorite is one always comes to mind first and I’ve read all her books at least twice, well without sounding cheesy I can honestly say that this author will now be at the top, I’ve read many of her books and I know I will read everyone of them again and again.

I could go on and on but I’ll stop here because Brody and Emberlee are waiting for me to start their story…

Kismet is Book two in the Endgame Series written by Leigh Ann Lunsford. This story can be read as a stand alone or following book one. I suggest reading book one first. Leigh Ann Lunsford did a unique thing when writing this story. If you read book one you know some of the stuff mentioned in this book and you have a clue as to what it’s about however this is told from Emberlee and Brodys point of view and there is sooo much stuff that happened that we didn’t know about.
“She renders me incapable with one touch. One look. The hands that were slapping and lashing out at me are the same ones caressing and pulling me closer. Kismet. Beyond my control.”
Emberlee and Brody have history, it started out innocent he was there while her father mentored him, she was in high school, he had to stay away from her she was only 16. When called home for an emergency with his sister he realizes that his sister is only one year younger then Emberlee. That was a rude awakening for Brody and he has to break his promise to Emberlee he is too old for her she is still too young and she hates the military lifestyle. But does she get a say in her life? After three long heart broken years how will Emberlee react when Brody not only comes back around but wants to fix the past and his mistakes when it comes to why he left and the way he did it. Emberlee and Brody have a very love/hate relationship and it is hilarious. They are friends lovers and enemies but will he be there for her when it matters most?

Bellissimo Fortuna (Beautiful Fortune) (The Family Trilogy Book #1) by Leigh Ann  Lunsford is the first book in this series. The story is intriguing and will have you on the  edge of your seat as you ride the roller coaster. I found my heart pounding as I  navigated the twist and turns that you don’t see coming. I was immediately drawn to  the characters and I loved the easy bonds and friendships and the love and loyalties.   This story has it all, romance and love, suspense and mystery, drama and heartbreak  that left me feeling emotional. It is very intense at times but a beautiful story.     If you enjoy a romance that has it all then grab a copy and settle in and enjoy the ride.

Bellissimo Fortuna by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the first book in her new The Family Trilogy and it is her first mafia based story! I have read most of her other books so I was hoping that even though it is a different genre, she would not disappoint and indeed, she did live up to her reputation so now I can with clear conscience say that I have not read any of her books that I did not like!
Bellissimo Fortuna is the story of Callie and Bronson and they have loved each other since they were kids … their journey is not for the faint at heart, I am sure you can imagine (to certain extent) when remembering that this is a mafia story! I felt for Callie and I cried for her and I was keeping my fingers crossed that she would make it and find her way to happiness … at times I felt there were way too many obstacles on their way but then … most of us struggle and that without having our loyalty tested and our decisions having deadly consequences …
I loved how the writer was using the dual POV to tell the story so that we could get deeper into the characters … on the other hand it also made it so much more painful … Oh man, does Leigh Ann knows how to pull us in and keep us on the edge of our seat and reaching for the next book in the series!

Max Baird is an undercover cop working on a case alongside his brother Mitch. Unfortunately neither can share the details of the case with those they love and it is those lies that may tear them all apart. Max and Mitch just want to keep those they love out of harm’s way. Keep them safe from the monster that has taken away so much from this family. Max has been watching Cambree from afar to make sure those monsters don’t get any where near her. When Cambree is attacked Max decides then and there he will do whatever it takes to protect her and make her see she belongs to him.

Can Max get through to Cambree? Can Cambree learn to let go of the past? Will all the lies and secrets be spilled? Will all the lies and secrets finally help those who need to heal? Can they overcome and stop the monster who threatens them all?

Leigh Ann Lunsford knows how to write a great story. Her characters in this series will have you pulling your hair out, laughing out loud and crying along with them and every crazy whacky thing they do. This is one unconventional family that will make you feel right at home and enjoy every step they take with you right by their side.

Not Leaving by Leigh Ann Lunsford is the second book in her Parker Siblings series. This one picks up where the first book, Not Enough left off, so I strongly suggest that you read the first book before this one. Leigh gives so much depth and character to each of her characters and the attention to detail for the world in which the Parker siblings and family live.

Addison Parker and Tyler James have been together since he saw her on the first day of school. Their love is supposed to be the kind of love that lasts a lifetime, or does it? Tyler has made some seriously stupid mistakes in his life and they all revolve around him running from the one person who has loved him unconditionally. The one person who takes him back when he realises his mistakes, but now she is truly shattered and he is the one who has broken her. Addison needs to think about more than herself this time and realises that she can never, ever let him back into her life. He has left her nothing but a shell of her former self. What happens when Tyler returns to reclaim the woman he loves? Can he ever live with himself for breaking her? Can Tyler help Addison find herself again or is he too late? Can he convince her he is still the man for her? Can he convince her he has changed? Will Addison ever let Tyler back into her life?

I really enjoyed both of these characters but wanted to slap Tyler senseless at times and some times I could kiss him. Addison makes you just want to wrap your arms around her and make it all better. She has been through so much and Tyler’s latest stunt has left her numb and alone, even though she is surrounded by family. Each and every character in this series are all strong people and each have their own stories. As I stated with the first book the Parkers are a crazy, fun loving and dysfunctional family. But they work and they are there for one another, no matter the cost. Their bantering and their antics will keep you wanting more. Even though there is heartache and sadness as a family they can overcome everything.

Leigh Ann Lunsford is now one of my favourite authors as this series has fast become one of my favourites as well. I am now off to read book 3 so enjoy!!

Leigh Ann Lunsford has written a hit with Not Enough which is the first book in the Parker Siblings Series. There is so much depth and emotions in each of the characters and within this story and the world in which Leigh as woven. In particular the feelings and emotions behind Brielle, the one person who has never felt enough.

I loved Brielle from the very beginning, she is smart, sassy, loving, funny and gorgeous but that is not how she sees herself. It is not how everyone else sees her. All she sees is the girl who is never enough. Not enough for anyone to ever truly love and accept who she is. Not even her parents chose her. Brielle and her siblings were raised by their grandparents because of something that happened in Brielle’s past. Nobody knows her secret except for her best friend Cooper who helped her escape that terrible night. Brielle hides her secrets well enough that her family doesn’t see. That is until one man catches her eye. With him she can’t hide anything and decides that he just might be the man to save her. But in the end will he be the one to truly break her, giving credence to the fact she is not enough?

Colby James needed a change and decided to come to town to start a business with his cousin, Tyler. Since he being in town Colby has been spending time with the Parker siblings, as Tyler is dating Addy. When Colby sets eyes on Brielle he finds himself attracted to her, from just one look he finds himself instantly wanting to protect her, to find out everything about this girl. Colby just melts your heart when she shows Brielle that she is enough, enough for him. But heartache finds it’s way to them and Brielle’s heart is ripped from her and torn to shreds.

This is crazy, funny and loving family that are there for one another no matter what and their antics will keep you wanting more. There is also overwhelming heartache and sadness that will have you sobbing right along with them which made me want to slap the hell out of Colby and hang on to Brielle and never let her go..

Leigh Ann Lunsford has again hit it out of the park. This is the 3rd book in the Endgame Series and it’s rare for the third book to be every bit as good as the first and second but it is.

Mason Adler is a self-assured, arrogant, smart-mouthed player who often takes his friends man cards. However he is also loyal, protective, and a fierce friend.

Brecklynn Collier has had a rough past that she is trying to overcome. She protects her heart like a lioness protects her cubs. She knows what Mason is all about and wants no part of him.

As the two tread into unknown waters, you feel the push and pull. Just as one wall comes down another two go up. When one person has never entered these types of relationships and the other has major trust issues how can there ever be any middle ground? How can they even out the see saw of their life? Then when the unexpected happens these two are thrown into the middle of a crisis. How will they handle it? Will it destroy everything they have been working toward?

What I love most about this series is it’s about a bond that 5 people share as the root of the tree and then like every good tree it branches out. They lean on each other, fight, harass, and pick on each other, but at the end of the day they lean on each other and have a solid foundation.

This story in-particular is hilarious! I found myself laughing so hard, spitting out my drink, and having to stop to read some of it again. Probably my absolute favorite line in the whole book is “It doesn’t make me happy – they both get a reward for screwing me over. I hope her v*gina turns into a Venus flytrap and snaps his d*ck off”. If you read the first two books (and you have to this is not a standalone) then you will be able to actually “see” Mason saying these things. The author does a brilliant job of making you connect with the authors in a way that you can feel like you are there witnessing everything.

I can’t wait for Avery’s story next.

Playing Fate is the first book in the Endgame series by author Leigh Ann Lunsford. This is my first book by this author.

The novel is told between the POVs of Saylor Lewis, a 19 year old in her first year of college. She is from a small town and with the passing her father years before, believes that her father stopped loving her causing her to have trust issues. Her only goal is to study to retain her scholarship. She wants to be more social but still finds comfort in her own room. She moves into a house with two other girls, Emmberlee and Avery. The other point of view is Deacon who lives next door with the boys Caden and Mason. They have all grown up together. The boys play baseball but because of circumstances their original plan changes.

“As long as I could remember, we were all going to the Major Leagues. Our junior year we were scouted, and we all hand a future laid out in front of us. Cue Adriane…she blew my world apart, changed my plans, and Mason and Caden weren’t ready to give up the dream. They took it in stride when we couldn’t go to the majors. They followed me to college, and we are still learning to navigate this world. Caden has accepted it, but he doesn’t let it much bother him. He just ducks and rolls…block anything that will leave a lasting impression in his life.”

Saylor initially feels like an outsider but soon becomes part of the group. She feels an attraction to Deacon but because she hears about “Julie” all the time she believes that she is his girlfriend and doesn’t understand why he’d be pursuing her when he is with someone.

“Since I left my life, in New Mexico, I haven’t forged relationships. I was a loner by nature, even though I longed to fit in. I’m a regular oxymoron.” Saylor wants what any teenager wants: To feel like you belong somewhere. To find people who care about you.

She soons finds out that Julie is not his girlfriend but in fact his 4 month old daughter. The mother left and gave him all rights. Which makes her start to feel different towards him but still have her defenses up.

Deacon knows that Saylor is guarded because of her childhood, her father left, and is willing to wait for her to let down her defenses. She is obviously attracted to him but isn’t sure about starting a relationship with him because of her trust issues.

With the arrival of Deacon’s ex, thinking that he will get back with her, causesher to end things. With both of them miserable, the others excluding Emmberlee,who is the cause of bringing Adriane back, devise a plan to reunite Deacon and Saylor.

I really enjoyed this book. I related to Saylor because of her trust issues and her desire to want a new start by going away to college. I just wish she was not so back and forth. But I understood that too. I really didn’t like Emmberlee. I liked her at first but then her personality changed. I was hoping she would redeem herself.

I loved the scene when Saylor learns the truth about her father. Such an amazing scene. I really did love Saylor and Deacon’s relationship. And I fell so in love with Julie. Such a cute baby.

I am interested in reading Emmberlee’s story. Maybe we will learn more about her.
