She loves to cook. This book also has a perceptive cat, an unknown stalker and a mysterious edge to it. There is also a F/F relationship. Good story line and really does pick up from book one. Absolutely love this series and this author! Just like the first book I did not want to put this book down and stayed up way too late reading! This story follows Sheridan and picks up pretty close to where the first book left off. I wouldn’t say you have to read the first book but I highly recommend it. I loved reading about all the old and new characters and getting to know more of Sheridan’s story! I cannot wait to read the next book!

I really enjoy this authors work. The first book was good and this one did not disappoint. Millicent and Sheridan are an interesting match. They have this connection that you can feel through the pages. They gave me relationship envy a little. Being a demon isn’t easy and loving a human even harder. There’s always danger. Always someone wanting what you have. The author wrote these characters well and made the plot interesting. Reading will never get old as long as we have authors who think outside the normal. Who give the spice along with the unimaginable. The story has a little bit of magic to it. That smooth flow that makes you not put it down.

After finishing the first Life Is Hell book from Naomi Valkyrie I have been sitting on the edge of my seat anxiously awaiting this second installment! I was so not disappointed either as she knocked all my expectations out of the park and exceeded them all. This book will make you question what is happening behind the scenes of our world. Valkyrie has the ability to make these made up worlds feel incredibly possible and realistic almost! I was swept up and away into the story of Sheridan. I can promise you that you will wanna dive right in and see what her story will bring you. I can’t bare to ruin any of the gritty and delicious details so for those you will have to read this gem for yourself. I can say this is one bada** woman and her story is so worth finding out. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next installment. I am positive I will love every moment of that one as well.

As soon as I seen this book I wanted it as I enjoy Naomi writing style a lot. Millicent has just been given some information and she can’t believe it. Oh that darn cat is at it again. Hell Hath No Fury is the second stellar instalment in the Life is Hell series, by Naomi Valkyrie. I adored the first book in the series- so this book came with very high expectations. I am happy to say that Ms. Valkyrie didn’t let me down- she delivered everything I could have hoped for…. and more! I love this every bit as much as the first, and I wasn’t sure that would be possible! I loved Sheridan from the moment I met her back in book one. She is the zany, vivacious, irreverent, sexy, and sassy Hedonism demon- and Delilah’s best friend (Book #1). I was really excited that she would get her own book, as I knew she would be a hoot to follow- and she sure doesn’t disappoint- but also brings a depth and complexity that I didn’t expect, which made me love her even more!!! As I have mentioned a few times now, but it is worth repeating- Naomi Valkyrie has a talent for telling a wonderful, original, and captivating fantasy. Weaving a dynamic story full of texture, layers- with rich and vivid detailing. Her clever and imaginative touches bring her story, and characters, to life- making me feel like I’m right there watching everything as it unfolds, as much a part of the story as the characters themselves. Hell Hath No Fury is a superb fantasy, with wonderful paranormal characters and elements, demons, magic, humour, mystery, action, secrets, sizzling chemistry, danger, discovery, and more than a few surprising developments- as well as a wonderful f/f romance. This is the second book in this series. I loved this one as much as the first. This is an author that is fast becoming one of my favorites. Her books will pull you in right from the beginning and her characters are unique and creative. This book is no different. This is a well developed book that is engaging and details that brings the story to life. The characters are fun and entertaining to read about. This is a shorter story that kept me turning pages to the end. Juniper Lake is not some place you would normally find the MC of this story but she has taken interest in a human deputy. Her problem is that if she follows her heart, she could break a friend or get her killed. I loved this book. The characters made the story easy for me to read and want to know what happened to them. I read this book in one sitting as it is that good. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book and is definitely my favorite by this author. From the moment I started reading I couldn’t stop I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going to happen next. This author continues to amaze me with her attention to detail and her characters are simply amazing. This story has a bit of everything from mystery to action, fantasy , paranormal, witches, and romance. Delilah is feeling a little like a burnt out demon, so she decides to take a break which finds her in a small town that is full of secrets. Will she find the peace and quiet shes seeking? Will she find there’s no rest for the wicked? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

No Rest for the Wicked is book 1 in Naomi Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series. It is my first demon book, so i didn’t know what to expect. It was really good, written with enough details that I was not confused. There was a lot of good description so I could envision the different characters. There were demons, angels, witches, and more. I love Delilah’s character. She is very sarcastic and has a I don’t give a F attitude. The book had me laughing out loud a couple times. Despite being a killer, she is a pretty cool chick, lol. The book had a lot of characters, and their relationships and history were well written. The book ended good, it wasn’t a cliff hanger, but ended open enough to leave readers anticipating the next story. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. Quickly became a fan of the author and her writing style.

No Rest for the Wicked is a must read!! I am pretty picky when it comes to paranormal romance. This book is so good I could not put it down! Delilah is great! Then you bring in Malakhi and Caspian and it gets really good! The story comes together so nicely and unexpectedly. It jumps right into the story and takes you right into the lives of the characters. Naomi Valkyrie knows how to keep you reading and wanting more! I cannot wait for more from her! I will be looking for more of her books!

This book was incredible. I love how it incorporated the whodunit with the supernatural. Yes, I have read these types of stories before, but the author really put her on spin on it. The story is gripping and very interesting. I was left guessing until the end. And then there are the characters. Delilah is absolutely wonderful and a new favorite main character. She is real and flawed, yet still has a big heart. The secondary characters are also great and make this book and world even better. Another thing I like is the variety of supernatural creatures and relationships that we see in his book. I get tired of seeing the same thing over and over and over, so I appreciate variety that much more.
If you are a fan of supernatural murder mysteries set in an incredible world, this book is for you.

I really enjoyed this book by Naomi Valkyrie. I love reading books about demons that have a heart and the story of Delilah fit the bill. I also loved watching Delilah, Malakhie, and Caspian find each other and decide to give love a shot. Naomi Valkyrie is a new author for me but I am so glad that I discovered her. I really enjoyed this book. Naomi Valkyrie is one of my favourite authors. I love her mix of mystery and paranormal and this book definately doesn’t disappoint.
Delilah is a demon. Her whole existence revolves around murder and basically satisfying her needs. When this life isn’t working out for her she leaves the city hoping that a quiet place would give her some much need peace and quiet.
Boy how wrong she was. With witches, shapeshifters and her being forced to commit murder there literally is no rest for the wicked.
Can Delilah survive the binding by the witches? How many people will die? And can her love interest Sheriff Malakhi save her and his town?

No Rest for the Wicked by Naomi Valkyrie a sublime five-star read. This is number one in the Life is Hell series, and I can’t wait for more, its not often I come across an author that brings a freshness to a genre, but this one does. I was used to reading just the authors I knew and loved as I was getting fed up with the repetitiveness I was finding in other new authors, this one there is no repetitiveness everything is well plotted and from an imagination I can only imagine must be vast and a wicked maze, all of the characters feel fresh and real. I love the wit and one liner’s that is peppered throughout as well, it really does keep you on your toes. Well done Naomi Valkyrie for keeping up the great writing and refreshing this tired reader’s heart.

This book has it all. It has complex complicated charters. The storyline captivated me. I always like to pick up a book by Naomi Valkyrie. I am never disappointed with any of her work. It captures me in the first paragraph until the last sentence. This storyline is about a demon named Delilah. Now Delilah is a tired demon who just wants to take a break. When she found the small town of Juniper Lake so that this was going to be the place. Or is it? Will she have the rest she deserves or will her services be needed? I highly recommend this book and author. You will not be disappointed.

No Rest for the Wicked by Naomi Valkyrie is the first book in the Life is Hell series and was an amazing read! I was fully immersed in this book from the first few pages. It was also a shirt novel, so it’s very quick to read. Delilah, the main female character, was such a blast to read, she had me laughing throughout the whole thing, I immediately fell in love with her character! All the rest of the characters were amazing too, of course, but Delilah was the one who had me laughing and became my favorite. This was such a good book, I can’t wait to read the next installment in this series!

I am not disappointed in purchasing this book. I am extremely happy. The author gives you a little bit of everything. We have demons and witches. Delilah is a demon who is tired of the hunt. So she takes a step back and moves to a small town. What she wasn’t expecting is for small town life to have so much drama. When she gets summoned she is thrown into a revenge plot. I loved how she had some morals. Like yes I am a demon but I don’t just hunt just anyone. I like that she felt remorse and even tried to help victims. I enjoyed the open relationship and understanding the characters had. The author wrote the story well. I enjoyed Sheridan’s character. She was herself unapologetically. Definitely will read more by this author.

Book Review: No Rest for the Wicked Author: Naomi Valkyrie FOUR STARS I am not usually a Paranormal reader but the story line in the description of this book really intrigued me. I picked it up and read it all in one evening. It kept me well entertained and involved. Meeting the different characters and how they all blended and melded into the story line. Yes there is a romance blossoming in this, however that was not the focus of the story. You will meet a couple demons, a few witches a fallen angel or 2. Some kind of water creature and a shape shifter just to name a few. Very good story and I would love to read more from Ms. Valkyrie. KLH

This author is quickly becoming one of my favorites. This is a genre I wouldn’t think I would enjoy but then I get so into the story I’m begging for more. I felt real bad for Delilah, getting forced to work on her vacation and on top of that doing something she did not want to do for 3 witches she never meant to come into contact with. I was excited to see her meet the sheriff, Malakhi and to see where their relationship would head. I was not prepared for but, was ecstatic to welcome Caspian into this mix! I really enjoyed the flow of this book, the story, and the characters. I love that the author introduced LGBT+ characters into this story and I am really looking forward to see what happens next with this trio. I also wouldn’t mind see what comes of Sheridan and her crush.

Naomi brings us another teen romance fantasy novel. Delilah I love her as she’s a string women with a no nonsense attitude. You want to know more about Delilah when you get to know more about her . There have a ton of fantasy characters demons, witches, fallen angels as well as Hunters bring all the cast together. You won’t want to put this book down once you start reading.

I have read a couple other books by this author so i knew I would enjoy this one before I even opened it and I was so right!
Delilah is a demon living among us and when she snaps and needs a break from it all, she finds a small little town to relax in, or so she thinks. This author has a way of giving enough details you can just picture everything that the characters are seeing and experiencing without being overly descriptive. I really enjoyed this book and had a few laughs, a few edge of my seat moments and overall just enjoyment. I can’t wait for more in this new series!

Valkyrie is quickly becoming a one click author in the paranormal genre for me. She has a distinct voice with extremely well developed characters. I love the strong female leads! Delilah is a demon who owns a bar in a busy city. After almost 200 years, life has gotten pretty mundane. She’s tired of the same old routine and decides that she needs a change (who doesn’t these days right?) What could be better than vacationing in a small town in the middle a nowhere for her to enjoy some reading and relax.
I love reading a new series and getting to know new characters and when the main character is a demon, it adds just the right amount of danger! Ms. Valkyrie’s characters are so fascinating it adds and enhances the paranormal worlds she creates. You will want to keep reading and not put the book down until to the end.

This is my first read by Ms. Valkyrie and she has a new fan I simply loved this story that I finished the book in one day. The characters where amazing and written well I loved their little quirks and the way they came together. Her description of the scenery was amazing that I thought that I was at the lake with the characters.
Delilah Hawthorne is a burnt-out demon that owns a bar she is needs a break. One minute she is pouring drinks in the bar the next she is in her car driving out of the city with no specific destination.
She finds herself in Juniper Lake but Juniper Lake isn’t what it seems it holds its own secrets. Delilah thinks she found the perfect place to recharge no more killing or vengeance. Just the sweet relief of peace and quiet.
But the joke is on Delilah…. What does she find in this small town? Will she get the peace she needs? Will she find something that will change her life for the better? Can she have a happily ever after?
I just simply loved this book and cannot wait to read the next book in this series….

Ohhhhh this was a treat I didn’t know I needed! I have a penchant for dark romance, like I seek these books out like my life depends on it. This book is the perfect read for me in this sense and I devoured it quickly in one sitting because I just could not put this gem down. If you haven’t had a chance to read Naomi Valkyrie then this is the place to start for you, you will be hooked.
This book takes the demon and makes you absolutely fall in love with her. Delilah is a demon of course but she too needs a break. As she puts it even a demon needs some downtime! She is exactly like me and throws some of her belongings in a bag and hits the road, finding herself in a small sleepy little town that looks like a perfect place to relax and find some much needed peace. Of course things are not always what they seem and Delilah is thrust into a new mystery that will turn her world upside down! This is one you don’t want to miss if you love the dark romance, witty characters, and laughs to break up the suspense occasionally. I am so freaking excited to get my hands on the next installment in this series and see what will happen next! I need it like, yesterday lol.

This author continues to show how much of an incredible writer she is! Having read this authors books before you think you know what to expect but each time she takes you along on an unexpected journey of twists and turns, action, adventure, drama, danger. She gives us paranormal and fantasy to the highest level and I absolutely love being captivated and drawn into her reads each and every time. This is a fast-paced, action-packed read that has you connecting to the main characters easily and love following their journey. Delilah has got to be the best lead female I have read in a while, I love how she is as a person, I love her attitude and her personality and I wanted more! I loved this read, it captivated me from the very beginning and didn’t want it to end! I highly recommend this read and I can’t wait to read more from this author and what else she will bring to this series!

No Rest For The Wicked by Naomi Valkyrie is the first book in the Life is Hell series. This book is an absolutely explosive start to what is clearly going to be an amazing new series. I knew to expect a great book having read the previous work by this author but this book genuinely blew my expectations out of the water! This is the kind of book that you just have to read in one sitting simply because you cannot put it down. The read this book in record time because it was such an exciting and enjoyable read. I really enjoyed how diverse the main characters were and how much it seemed to open up the story. This author has quickly become one of my favourite authors and I wouldn’t hesitate to read one of her books. I don’t even bother to read the descriptions anymore as I know that no matter what the book is about I am going to get a well developed story that I cannot help but love. I am so excited to see what is next for this series and would highly recommend reading this book.

No Rest For The Wicked (Life is Hell Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie 4 Stars
This is definitely my favourite book by this author. I have read all her books and her writing is getting better with each one. This is a fast paced story either action and drama. Its characters range from a variety of supernatural beings which makes things interesting.
Delilah is a tough, sarcastic, burnt out demon. She decides to leave the city for a little vacation in Juniper Lake only to find herself in a load of trouble once she’s there. She’s caught in the town’s web of lies. She tries to extricate herself without hurting too many people but certain things can’t be avoided.
I loved the characters and the story kept me enthralled until the end. Can’t wait to read more in this series.
