Huli is saved by the Healer not only once, but twice. Xiao Ying is alone in the world as he tries to find justice due to his family being murdered, and trying to find the answers he needs…but also Huli understands how Xiao feels as he is an orphan himself with no family left. What happens when Huli, Xiao along with Huli’s friend Ling Ling and the wonderful Ye Ying (rescue dog) go out on adventure to seek answers in their journey….

This was a fun, unique story that was enjoyable and full of adventure, danger and magic and Ye Ying had my heart <3. I also love that the author had a cast of characters at the beginning of the book to know whom the characters are and their Chinese name.

Markus is determined to help Sera, feeling like he owed her due to knowing Dr. Garsett in a previous life in the military. When lies and betrayal come about with helping Sera, they are both left on Earth deserted. Holy Smokes!!!!! I had to adjust my heart rate after this book for sure! This has everything that I love about this series and more….lies, blackmail, danger, banter, hot sizzling moments and hate to love between Cole and Riley.

This story picks up right after Book 1 and I totally recommend reading this series in order including the prequel, as the characters are in each book and the story really continues and takes off……you will not be disappointed.

Cole and Riley are still at each other….banter and love to hate each other….Cole feel’s like he is onto Riley and her half truths…trying to figure out “why” she is living with the Savage Family when the truth comes out between Cole’s dad and Riley’s mom….but Cole cannot keep away from Riley no matter what….he wants to hate her but he can’t. I love this interesting take on Romeo and Juliet with this MM Romance….and as I started the pages I love that the author provided a “cast” to get to know whom each character represents. Watchers, demons, messengers and danger….I really loved this story.

Obedience (Ties That Bind Book 1) Audiobook by Liza Snow – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Intriguing story…enjoyable with romance, danger, drama, shibari, angst between Chandler and Cassie with an age gap (which I love)…I am already looking forward to book 2.

After Cassie suffers the unthinkable when losing her parents, she grows up knowing she wants to be a silk aerialist going to a prestigious school to learn from the best. Little did Cassie know she meets
Chandler Moreau and all she wants to do not only learn from him but also be with him.

Chandler is part of the Moreau Academy and highly affluential. With a nagging injury and also going through a divorce…. His focus is all about Cassie and taking her under his wing. This takes a turn when Chandler introduces Cassie to shibari… and the intense sizzle between them is undeniable.

With both Cassie and Chandler having these dark pasts that threaten them at every turn…can they overcome and build any relationship?

Great audiobook, great storyline and narrators to the story… cannot wait to see what happens next.

Can I say I loved this story of Mitch & Lauren so much…I totally devoured this book. This is
Book 3 in The Trading Heartbeats Trilogy, and I highly recommend reading this series in order as the story lines tie together and especially in this book its all definitely comes together. While I loved all the books in this trilogy….I have to say this is my favorite story. I can totally relate and have empathy for the characters as both Mitch and Lauren and trying to figure out “how did they get to where they are” at this point…I get it…myself having been there.

Mitch and Lauren have been each others loves since forever…and now married 7 years things are turning rocky. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is the 3rd book of The Gods’ Scion series and my first book I picked up from this author and the story-line was fascinating and intriguing. I will definitely circle back and read the first two books as I feel like I may have missed some pieces and at the end the book it did provide a guide of zodiacs, races of earth, philosophies, time and planets. I wish this was at the beginning for me as well, but overall I really enjoyed this story.

Space Acolyte, Caro, goes missing and it is up to Milky, Roderick and the other acolytes including Scorpio and Sagittarius to save Caro before Ophiuchus does the unthinkable. Upon Caro’s capture, Ophiuchus tells Caro the reason…and can I tell you it was heartbreaking to me. Will Roderick and the other acolytes and zodiacs save Caro in time? Does this also impact overall healing between families?

This is a very good YA Fantasy that I would recommend especially if you like action, drama and healing.

I am a lover of sports romance and this is my first sports romance that involved Tennis……and the continuation of The Hustlers Trilogy with book 2 was fabulous. I recommend reading this series in order as characters are folded into the story of Chavez and Flynn in book 2.

Chavez Delgado is a tennis player that has had his share of behavior that is volatile and just unpredictable with his past always haunting him in his head. Meeting a therapist to get through the rough edges of Chavez and his behavior he unexpectedly meeting Flynn…and the smooth talking Chavez comes out. Chavez is a bit relentless when trying to ask Flynn for her phone number…and she is not buying what he is selling…well at first….but when she finally gives him time to talk.. there is another side to Chavez that intrigues her.

Flynn Dryden is a popular motivational speaker/author….but her past haunts her dearly. Flynn puts on a brave face everyday trying to live by her own words that she has in her own books but the heavy walls that she has up at all times, the guilt she feels about her past, Chavez tries to break them down without even knowing the “whys” of her walls.

Just One Time (Beaumont Creek, #1)Just One Time by Samantha Baca
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I love a small town romance and this story was fantastic. Mix in romance, friends to lovers, biological clock ticking away and a bit of angst and this is definitely the story of Abby and Nate.

Abby and Nate have been best friends since they were 7 years old. When Abby feels that her biological clock is ticking and time is running short as she turns 40, Nate proposes for her dream to become a mother to come true. The hitch, Abby becoming pregnant the “old fashioned” way. When Abby is all in with Nate, even through their friendship……the sparks are off the roof!!!! Technically both Abby and Nate were thinking “just one time”….but the passion and heat they feel for each other leads to many more times…..but then again lead to feelings that are more than being best friends and never telling each other due to fear.

When lines are crossed, communication not so clear….will Abby and Nate be able to be more than friends….definitely read and find out. You will not be disappointed.

I loved this story of Nate and Abby so much. I am totally looking forward to reading more in this series of books.

The girl is Riley. When Riley comes back into town and starts again at a new school, the same school that Cole and his Elite boys go to, Riley tries just to keep her heads down and get through school on a daily basis. Never count Riley out, she is a bit cunning and has no problem standing up for herself. When Riley takes Cole on…..then it is no holds bar….Cole knowing that Riley off limits to everyone else…yet wants her… but also tries to put her through hell and back. Cole believes Riley is up to something….especially mixing in Riley’s mother as well.

Does Cole succeed in freezing out Riley and th entire school or does Riley get the best of Cole in end?

Another enjoyable children’s book and I love learning something new even as an adult that this story of Loretta’s Katydid Did.

Loretta’s grandmother visits Loretta from Florida and bring her a present, a small orange tree. Loretta was so excited to learn about her new orange tree, espeically with the upcoming school science coming up. What was not expected were aphids on the orange tree, and they can be harmful, but Loretta loves insects, while her grandmother suggests to rid of them.

Does Loretta keep her insects to see what comes about to her orange tree?

This story is great for young and old. The only drawback a bit for me is the illustrations, I feel like they could have been a little more clearer detailed.

I would recommend also reading book 1 first as characters in the book also are in this story as well and ties in so wonderfully. If you love a sweet romance, small town setting with food, friends, love and a little bit of drama, I would highly recommend this series.

CeCe is all business when it comes working at the diner, she does not have time for relationships and has a rule of no dating coworkers. Evan tries to be patient, sitting back, biding his time as he also work at the diner with CeCe, but he cannot help fall for her the more he works with her. When an opportunity comes close to Buckeye Fall for a food competition, CeCe and Evan want to enter, but CeCe is hiding a secret. I love this author’s books and the story of Chicken Little and their friends was adorable and engaging with wonderful illustrations on each page.

The sky is falling!! Or at least that what Chicken Little feels when an acorn falls and causes a bump on their head. Chicken Little investigates with their friend Henny Penny other items when they fall what does happen. On the adventure and finding items to do their experiments, Chicken Little and Henny Penny also run into other friends to bring them into the investigations as well and the end result of them wanting to go to the King to find out what to call it?

Wonderful story, love the characters and this book can be enjoyed by all ages which is what I love. Just wonderful!

This is my first book by this author and I loved it and the cover of the book is stunning. I am already anxiously anticipating book 2!! This story has drama, shifters, vampires, wolves and romance and I loved the names of the 2 main characters, Kodiak and Tamaska.

Tamaska is the lead whom has a Blood Opal up for bid and this may make or break on keeping her job. She has every detail planned out for this auction to happen, including the highly recommended security detail, but when plans don’t go accordingly, the Blood Opal disappears.

Kodiak is a shifter and part of the security detail that Tamaska hires to protect the Blood Opal. He stops at nothing to try to make things right when the Blood Opal goes missing on his watch and comes under much scrutiny, especially in the eyes of Tamaska. When Kodiak and his team find out that vampires might be the cause of the disappearance of this opal, it is a race against time to find it.

Tamaska and Kodiak butt heads at the beginning but it turns into this deep connection, all Kodiak wants to do is find this opal and also protect Tamaska. The Vampires are dangers and hold the key to the opal and they also have Tamaska on their menu. Will Kodiak protect Tamaska when she needs it the most? Will Tamaska find out what Kodiak truly is outside of being security detail? Will Kodiak and Tamaska find the Blood Opal so it does not stay in the wrong hands?

This story is great I really enjoyed the spark between Tamaska and Kodiak and both their character growth. I am so looking forward to book 2 to see what happens next!!
