Wonderful second chance contemporary romance story that I really loved. This is a new author to me and I was excited to jump right in and start turning the pages. When We Fell again gave me all the feels that I love about reading romance…….angst, second chances, spark and sizzle and the emotional roller coaster that this story of Jordan and Alexis go through.

Jordan and Alexis knew each other years ago during their time at the university…but jealousy leads into a total break up that left each of them in different directions. When Jordan and his band are now up touring again after a long break…..their new tour manager is none other than Alexis. The reunion of Jordan and Alexis at first is a bit cold….still thinking about their hurt past and their break up. When Jordan sustains an injury and Alexis has to help monitor medication and keep him on track…. past truths come out that are not easy……

Will Jordan and Alexis’ love for each other come back…or will jealousy come between them again.

Definitely read and find out!! I really loved this story and I am looking forward to more from this author!

Fantastic Fantastic Fantastic!! This is book 2 in The Crowned Hearts Series and I highly recommend reading book 1 as characters tie into the 2nd book. Lev and Daphne gave me so many feels that I love about romance……banter and loyalty with definite spark and sizzle with chemistry off the charts, secrets, betrayal, twists and turn but also family and true friendship.

Lev and Daphne have this love/hate back and forth about them since their best friends Fyn and Bridget got married. Lev is a guard for Prince Fyn and all business…broody and serious while Daphne is a no holds barred no filter American girl. When Lev and Daphne get together for some fun, the sparks totally fly between them, but after it is said and done….they want nothing to do with each other. Things get more complex between them when they meet again in different circumstances that turns into having rules…….leading into Lev finding family secrets that come out that can lead both him and Daphne into danger……

Highly recommended read and I just cannot get enough of Lev and Daphne’s story and their character growth….loved this book.

I cannot say enough about this author and the talent she brings to her writing. I love this series with my every being, I highly recommend reading this series in order as characters are intertwined in each book and definitely read the prequel as well to Phoenix and Aspen’s beginning.

Phoenix and Aspen give me the push and pull, hot and cold, off and on, spark and sizzle, yes and no… mixed in with drama, fear, jealousy, secrets, chemistry that they are both denying….it is hard to hide how much I loved this story from beginning to end.

Unplanned surprise pregnancy can put a different perspective on what you believe your life should turn out…this happens to Phoenix and Aspen. Phoenix is focused and his mindset is completely on being successful playing football in college that he makes it to the NFL. Aspen has dreams too, artist at heart, opening up a business with her sister. Wow, what a story….captured me right from the beginning. Gutted feelings, sadness at parts, drama, anger, love, healing and the sense of family and nurturing. I highly recommend this book…it takes you on a roller coaster of emotional highs and lows.

Julie Mercer is trying to pick up the pieces after her brother and sister in law pass away due to an accident and is now the guardian of four year old twins, Mikey and Lucy. Julie never really wanted to be a mother, but life threw her a wrench and now she is figuring everything out between balancing her job and the twins, questioning herself can she do this. Lucy throwing tantrums if things are not done “right” in her eyes and Mikey not talking at all…the trauma that these children endured has been difficult. When Grant, who is Julie’s sister in laws brother, makes an unexpected visit, Julie is not sure if there is more why he suddenly shows up.

As Julie and Grant navigate the death of her brother and his sister, they find that being there for Mikey and Lucy and for each other can be something special.

This is a great story and I highly recommend this read.

I continue to love hard on this series so much. This paranormal romance gives me all the feels that I love with drama, romance, vampires, shifters and the continue search for the Blood Opal. The back and forth between Alpha Kodiak and Tamaska still continues all with one purpose…kill the vampires. I highly recommend reading this series in order as this story picks up after the ending of book 2.

Tamaska and Kodiak are still fighting against the evil vampires as the Shadow Pack suffered loss and the vampires are still relentless to take Tamaska for their own use. Changes within the pack are coming, but not everyone wants to be on board. So many of the pack believe that Tamaska is the issues and why so much blood is shed…and Tamaska feels bad for everything that is happening. Kodiak will stop at nothing to make Tamaska his as his mate, with conversations of changing Tamaska as a shifter. So many questions arise as well as secrets being kept from Tamaska. There is something special about her….

This is a good, contemporary romance that is filled with drama, a bit of humor banter, love with some twists and turns….the only thing that was difficult for me was it took at bit to get into the story. I enjoyed some of characters, especially Mia’s granny (she was a hoot) and Mitch, I was hoping Mia was a bit of a stronger character.

Mia and Mitch known each from years ago, now that Mia is back in Kentucky to start over as she become a widow at an early age. Mia is in need of Mitch’s help with an assignment she has at University and sparks have always been there between them. When Mitch’s fiancee, Lacey, tries to keep Mia and Mitch apart….drama ensues and erupts. This was a read that was filled with different emotions, drama, past hurt, loss but also friendship that Adrian and Hastings have is to me that means just so much. Mixing up a rock star with teenage hitchhiker….the characters really bring to life true connection while they battle their issues.

Adrian is famous for being lead singer in the band, but after taking a year off, heading out on the road has not been easy. Mentally and emotionally struggling…never expecting to find out he has a stowaway on his tour bus. Hastings is a teenager who believes that Adrian and his tour bus can take her home in route back to New Orleans. Adrian is hesitant at first, but when Hastings and Adrian get to know each more, their friends comes in full circle…

This is a great book, the characters were fantastic as well as the author’s storytelling.

I love a fairy-tale romance that gives me sugar and spice and everything very nice with a bit of drama, forbidden romance, some spicy scenes, and a little bit of twist I did not see coming. this was a fantastic read that I loved every moment and I cannot wait to dive into the next book.

Every little girl dreams on marrying her own Prince Charming….little did Bridget know while on a girls vacation that she would meet her own prince without really knowing he was a true prince. Bridget is reeling on a past relationship that left her feeling unworthy as her ex-fiancee has other plans of being a cheater. My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟
This story is different than what I am used to by this author, but this story was very good, a bit heartbreaking and sad but also intriguing with a little sci fi included.

Xenia lives in Pennsylvania along with her mother and brother. Trying to be cautious and careful, Xenia’s mother is undocumented living in the United States. Unfortunately, Xenia’s world comes crashing when her mother is arrested due to being undocumented and faces deportation. Xenia and her brother must live with their aunt and uncle…..and all Xenia wants is her mama back and also to do well in her school science fair so she may win a trip to Hershey Amusement Park. Strange occurrences happen when Xenia and her cousin try their science experiment for the fair that includes sunflowers and ants! Will these ants help out with Xenia science experiment?

This was a very unique story and while the subject of deportation is difficult, especially when a parent has to leave their children behind, the author does a great job on the portrayal of this matter.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Granting Katelyn is Book #2 in the Sweet Valley Series and while this book can be read as a standalone I highly recommend reading this series in order as this series is fantastic for any romance lover like me. This story of Katelyn and Grant gave me drama, age gap (which I LOVE), heartbreak, healing, romance and a roller coaster of emotions with definite ups and downs. This was a great story.

Katelyn Sullivan has a love for helping horses as a equine therapist and is very good at what she does. She is tough as nails, no nonsense and not afraid to back down……she is given a chance to help a very an injured horse with recovery due to an accident…..but butting heads with Grant Tennyson is not on her agenda. Grant Tennyson is grumpy, grouchy and overall comes across rude. He is under a lot of pressure from his father, Ian, to make sure their farm is run smoothly and also making sure that Katelyn does her job to help with Hugh’s recovery. As the layers are slowly peeled away when Katelyn and Grant get to know each other, the spark comes from within…but Grant knows he should not have any feelings toward Katelyn as his father wants only the best for Grant, including a wife. What happens when the matters of the heart comes to blows with family obligations that are just unreasonable from a high powered father like Ian Tennyson.

This is a great story. I highly recommend and many parts really pulled at my heart strings, especially Grant’s history and back story. The author does such a great job on storytelling as this book was very hard to put down. Looking forward to Laney’s story next!

Lilly is a young girl who is ready to head back to school but forgets her best friend, her stuffed bunny Hun Bun. Lilly is nervous with her “heebie-jeebies” on what to do and how she can go about her day at school without her stuffed bunny, Hun Bun.

With different ways to help Lilly when she feels this way, Lilly learns from the school nurse and a new friend, Noah, how to cope when her “heebie-jeebies” come back and make her feel nervous all over again.

This is a beautifully illustrated book that is a great teaching story as well. I loved how the author explained in the story to Lilly the different ideas on how to overcome her worries. While this book -is for ages 7-10, I believe this is a great story for all ages, I even learned some different ways to help me with my worries too. Wonderful book.

Firewall by Jessica Mehring – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

FirewallFirewall by Jessica Mehring
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

4 1/2 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Very enjoyable story with romance, drama, suspense and twists and turns I did not see coming. The angst and chemistry between Angus and Veronica….off the charts…even when they both are not looking for any type of relationship. I am looking forward to reading more from this author. Definitely a great read.

Veronica Clark is a very smart IT professional, working for a financial company. She ensures there is no security breaches of data and is on top of her game at all times. When investigating a server, something is off. Veronica senses this and finds a computer chip that holds some very valuable information. Someone is after Veronica after she takes the chip and has to run for her life. Who is after Veronica…..

Angus Miller is a firefighter and is really focused to being the best…..Angus is also Cara’s brother whom happens to be best friends with Veronica. When Veronica’s life is on the line over a security breach and missing computer chip……Cara has Angus be with Veronica to protect her. With some very bad people hot on their tails, will Angus be able to save Veronica before it is to late?

The plot is fantastic and this story kept me at the edge of my seat. Great story.

The Guardsman (The Olympic Peninsula Series Book 2) Audiobook by Cat Treadgold – Review by Lorralei Hoerner

4 Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Guardsman is book 2 in the Olympic Peninsula series and this was a very enjoyable story. I highly recommend listening to book one, so you can get a backstory on the characters, especially Liam. I also enjoyed that the narrator of this audiobook is also the author as well.

Liam Ryan was originally presumed dead after being caught an explosion in Israel. His twin sister, Ali, never give up hope that he was still alive. When a private investigator finds Liam, Theresa, who is Joe’s sister, brings Liam home. Liam tries to adjust to being “home” with Ali and Joe….while Theresa has her eyes set on Liam. Deep down, Theresa thinks Liam is stunning and she is intrigued.

Sparks fly between Liam and Teresa even when Liam does not want to admit it at first… but when strange occurrences start happening to Teresa, will Liam be there when she needs him the most?

This is a very good story with suspense, romance and intrigue. I am already looking forward to more from this author.
