Another hit by one of my favorite authors! As have been the case with other books in this series, this was an easy and entertaining read for me. The focus on one of the underboss’ this time around was especially intriguing. I hope that future stories also focus on the lives of the ‘less elite’ involved in the mafia. I enjoyed the dynamic between the couple, but I wish there had been more spiciness and alone time between the two of them as there have been in past books. I was hooked on Mia the moment I met her, hoping that the arrangement she seeks with Nico would end well for her in the midst of her trouble with her family.
Rivals (Mafia Elite Book 7) by Amy McKinley. I love this author so the fact I loved this book is no surprise! Its another great Enemies to Lovers Mafia Romance and in this one we find out about Nico & Mia. Mia is from a rival Mob family and she is tired of dealing with all he abuse from her dad and step brother. She figures the best way to get back at them is to marry a rival mafia boss. Nico is not in the market for marriage but when he meets Mia and she asks him to marry her for protection all bets are off. He realizes she will probably be his undoing. When he takes Mia to a secret hidden place his family has had for years he figures Mia will be safe there but of course that is not the case. Will Nico be able to keep Mia safe and will he lose his heart to her? Read this amazing Mafia Romance to find out!
Another wonderful series comes to an end. I have to tell you, I have been so in love with the Five Families throughout these novels, and how close they all are, or how close they have all become to one another. Promising protection, love, and acceptance no matter the consequences. It also opens ones eyes to the differences of folks, regardless of the fact they were all part of the same organization (so to speak.) I have been waiting with baited breath for Nico’s story, and I’m so very glad that it was the finale of the series, as it was one of the best. This author truly knows her way around a pen and a piece of paper.
Mia is in need of someone loyal, encouraging, and who offers protection when others have never done so for her in her life, at least since her Mother passed, and she feels comfortable with Nico long before even meeting him. The want to protect women from an awful end, and getting the help needed from those that we’ve grown to love and for me, obsessed with, is endearing and I’m so glad that this series ended on the page it did. I very much look forward to any and all spin off series, and anything else released by this author. Amazing, a must read novel and series for sure!

Mia needs to escape before its too late, but the only problem is she needs protection, the only solution is one of the Five families and him. Nico is the only one who can help but how can she get him to agree to the scheme she has going on or will she be left to the wolves and disappear.
Nico is the quiet, dark and dangerous brother within the Five Families not looking to find a wife but when Mia crashes into his world everything changes, can he close his heart and believe its just business or will he fight to the death for her.
I have to say I have been waiting for this story to come along since the first couple of books I read in this series. Nico has always been the enigma in the background showing pockets of his life and history only wetting the appetite until now and oh my what a story.
This could be read as a stand alone but there are sections which and overall knowledge of the series would be helpful to link various characters and history but it is not essential but really this series is amazing so I would recommend all of the books to read. The character of Mia is brilliant, strong and resilient to be thrust into the world of the Five Families, with the first interaction of the two characters just as stormy as the skies around them just was a brilliant start to the book.
Getting to know Nico abit more was the guiding light for me as he is my favourite character in this series with his mystery and pure sex appeal, oh my!!! I loved although Mia is younger in age she is just as strong and spunky to match the ferrous character of Nico and does not take any crap from him at all, they are great together.
Although there are twists and turns and revelations within this story that are great, I can wait to read more from Amy in the future.

This author has never failed, and the books in series never disappoint. Book 7 is just as raw, suspenseful, spicy, and dramatic as all the other jaw-dropping books.
As we meet Mia she’s in need of dire help. The only person she feels that she can trust for help is considered the enemy…. Nico.
Together they tread dark and chaotic territory when the offer of help comes in the form of marriage. Trust is what Nico won’t do but lust he understands. The chemistry with these two is fire and everything that comes with it is just as good.

If you haven’t read any of the Mafia Elite series I highly suggest checking them out. The author writes the stories is such a way that it’s hard to tear your eyes away from the pages. I absolutely love this series! Every book has been a bit better than the last. I love all the characters and their fierce loyalty to one another. There is a certain code that the Mafia families abide by and they all strictly follow it until Mia Tucci strays from the norm. As a daughter to one of the New York families she has seen many things that her father is involved in and she doesn’t agree with what has been happening. She has been working to take him down, but it’s proving to be a long and slow process. When she over hears that she is to be married off to a politician she knows it’s time to flee, but who can she run to? Where can she go for safety? Her only hope is Nico La Rosa and the Five Families of Chicago. They owe her huge after she warned Summer of the danger she was in. Will Nico find that she is someone worth protecting? Will he let down the walls he has built and allow himself to possibly love and be loved?
Mia is in danger so she hunts down Nico to try to convince him to marry her for her protection. In return she will take down her father and step brothers sex trafficking ring. Nico has to get permission from the mafia leader first. Then he does marry her. Once Mia agrees to finalize their marriage with sex Nico finally lets his guard down. He stops fighting his attraction towards Mia and falls in love with her. Through it all Mia and Nico face it all together.
Our favorite author has done it again. This amazing novel is the 7th installment in this wonderful series, and per usual I simply could not put it down. While this novel can be read as a stand alone just like the previous six, I would highly recommend reading the whole series because it’s just that amazing. Full of suspense, drama, action, romance, and more this novel is by far one of the best books I have read all year. So whether your looking for a great new mafia romance or your looking for a great new series, make sure you read this book next.
This has taken my favorite spot in the Mafia Elite Series! While you can read this book as a standalone, I highly recommend reading the previous 6 books in the series. The story focus on Nico La Rosa & Mia Tucci.
It immediately sucks you in with an intense scene of Mia (daughter of the Mafia boss Joey, apart of the NY syndicate) being kidnapped by her own step brother, Ricco, and locked away in the rooms down under the Nightclub her family owns (that also holds women captive for sex trafficking). Nico La Rosa, the youngest of the La Rosa’s, a member of the Chicago Italian Mafia and the Five Major Families, isn’t looking for love, as he has very little emotional pull towards anyone that isn’t his family, or his work (major hacker & computer whiz).
His life gets turned upside down when Mia finds him and proposes safety from her family in exchange for marriage and help in taking down the Tucci sex trafficking ring & the family line completely. While Nico is very cautious & weary of alternative motives, he has an intense pull and sensation to help her any way he can.
Will they end up being a loveless marriage, a business contract moreso than anything, or will they fall for each other harder than ether ever expected possible?
Taking down a Mafia family isn’t easy, will they accomplish their goal? If so, at what cost?
Several twists & turns I definitely didn’t see coming. Spice is present and moderate, but definitely enjoyable! I love reading from both of Mia & Nico’s point of view!

There are only two possibilities he sees – she is a traitor to her family, or a spy working for her family.
I am a diehard Amy McKinley fan and have followed the Mafia Elite Series from the very beginning. I was a bit saddened to see that this is the final book in the series, but I also know that she will continue with a spin-off series that I eagerly am looking forward to. Every story in the Mafia Elite Series contains danger, unique situations, and relatable characters with passion. I highly recommend this 5 star book without hesitation.
Rivals is the 7th book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley, and I am loving this series. I have read every book so far and each one I have finished in less than a day as I couldn’t put them down. This book is the story of Nico and Mia. Mia, after escaping from the clutches of her twisted family tracks down Nico for help and in return she will give him the information that he needs to take down her family. I really enjoyed this book, I loved the dynamic between the two main characters but the main thing I really like is how the men in these stories treat the women as equals, fighting side by side rather than being left at home while the guys do all the fighting. The female characters really make this series for me. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

So Dominik works for the Russian mob , he “acquires “ high end vechiles for them and imagine his surprise when his next “ acquisition” won’t be handed over so easily and this cookie is tough she’s not giving up her car for anything so she hops into the passenger seat and Dom has his hands full and even more so when he realises she’s a famous country singer …. He has himself in a pickle I’d say so he lets both her and her car go but it doesn’t end there ….,,
Dominik has dirt on Leah that could end her career if it comes out so she agrees to “forget” what happened , Dom heads out to clear his ahead and as true as hot chocolate in winter his path crossed with Leah’s again ….
These 2 are just irresistible and they are responsible for a few hours of entertainment for which I was most grateful 🤭😉
While I felt this could be read as a stand-alone I do enjoyed it I want and looked up the previous books and I’ll be following with a hawk’s eye so I don’t miss anything ❣️📕

First book by Amy and I’m obsessed! I didnt realize this was part of a series so now I HAVE to read the others! I love a good mafia romance! Who doesn’t right? And enemies to lovers? I’m here for it! You have the quiet dark man and the woman who comes in like a wrecking ball, and just steaks his heart!This book had the suspense, the thrill, the DRAMA! And the spice 🌶🤌🏽 oooh weee, can’t ever get enough of that! I can’t wait to read more of Amy’s books! If they’re anything like this one, then I’m anxious! Go check this one out guys!
This series has been nothing but amazing from the first book and I absolutely squeal when I see a new book is out. This book was about Nico and Mia from a rival family. When Nico finds Mia on his porch he doesn’t know if he should listen to what she has to say or kill her. Luckily he goes with the right choice. This book definitely keep my fully interested and wow some of those things were not expected. I’m a huge fan of this author and cannot wait for more!
I haven’t read any work by this author but, that is going to change really soon. I really enjoyed reading this book. Dom is the ultimate bad boy who sounds like he just needs to find someone to make him legit. Leah has had a rough past. When Don steals Leah’s car, she jumps in the car and now he has kidnapping under his belt. He decides to let her go but runs into her again and they start to hang out being they have mutual friends. When Leah’s past comes back to haunt her, the only person to have on her side is none other then Dom! Will he help her or will she fall victim to those out to hurt her. I loved the ending of this book and cannot wait to read more from this talented author
This series is one of my all time favorites! I love learning about each member of the Chicago 5 and their wives and Aldo love that the author wrote about the romances of those family members who aren’t the bosses. This is the 7th book of the series, about Nico and and Mia. Nico is the quiet one and Mia is the daughter of one of the New York bosses. Mia has been learning about the Chicago families and finds a special strength in Nico as she looks at pictures and prays he will help her. When Mia escapes her basically captive life, she finds her way to Nico and proposes marriage of convenience. Will these two make it together or not? There are some twists and turns. You won’t be disappointed!
I think this is one more addition to my list of favorites. The story is fast paced, high energy and down right suspenseful. I loved it! This is Nico and Mia’s story. Both from different Mafias, both mafias are enemies. So who is jumping ship, who is seeking help and will this be a good idea? So many questions, so intense and so worth reading. Be prepared to open all emotions and once you read page one you will not be able to put this book down. This author continues to surprise me. Her books are well written and loaded with excitement. The characters are likable and the women are always strong and independent. Mia is no different, she has to make choices that most women would never even try. This is a fantastic series, I recommend you start at the first book and follow along. Get to know the characters as well as the author. Or you can start with book 7, you will be pleased either way.
Another great book from one of my favorite authors. I have read many books by this author and I am never let down. I love how she is able to blend romance with drama and action. There is never a dull moment in one of her books. The characters are complex and interesting. They have chemistry that just pulses off of the pages. I was totally hooked from the first page and did not want to put this book down.
I have found I like to read mafia romances as it the world that the author builds draws the reader in and you are taken away vicariously into a life one would not normally have. I like the complexity of the plots and characters. I like being able to get lost in the story and the happy ending. I will definitely read more from this author in future.
Well I feel like a broken record, lol. I have said the same about the last 6 books in this series, I loved it. This is my favorite mafia romance series I have read. In Rivals, this is about Mia, one of the New York mob boss’ daughter. Mia grew up sheltered by her father, Joey, and abused by her step-brother Ricco. Her family is not a respected mafia family and she also come to learn about her family’s hand in a sex traffiking ring. Mia wants out and her freedom but her only way to do that is to escape. Mia needs to escape and find Nico La Rosa for protection through marrying him. Since they are technically not allies, Nico has a hard time trusting her when she shows up demanding this marriage. However, the benefits seem to outweigh the red flags. The two of them, after marriage, work to take down her old family. During this process, the two of them find out that they actually have come to care for each other, which completely surprises Nico since he never thought he would marry. Are the two of them able to take down the New York family and find the love Mia never thought she would have? I have already said it, I loved this book in the series. Once again, the author always knows how to blend love, loyalty, protection, and strong characters into an amazing romance story. Mia is great. While she may have been sheltered, she still grew up in the mafia life and could kick some major ass. She is extremely cunning and a strong character. Nico, just like the rest of the Chicago family mafia men, is amazing. He is a calm present, but deadly. Nico is also low key caring, protective, but also a lover who values honesty and freedom. He never takes that freedom away from Mia, even when he is not trusting her fully. The two of them did not have much banter because of their circumstances, but the author progressed their story so well, the love just shown through the whole story. If you have not read any of these mafia books yet, you are missing out.

Mixed emotions What a ride! Rivals is the 7th book in the Mafia Elite series and is the last. I have loved every single book in this series. Each pair of characters has become like family and I am so torn now that it is over. Happy to see that there will be a spin off series and that I can still catch up with the Five families in these books. This book us Nico and Mia’s story. Both characters have appeared in previous books. As always, action abounds, along with drama and some stolen steamy moments. It’s everything I have come to expect from this excellent author. Recommend reading the whole series.

What is better than a bad boy romance? Nothing but adding in the mafia, makes it even more better. The main characters in this book are amazing. The lead female is a sassy, bright, intelligent, and beautiful. The lead male in this book is your classic tall, dark and handsome with an edge. He gives bad boy vibes and she is there for it. The way the meet is actual funny and involves pepper spray….Yep, that good. However, that fluke of a meeting is the best thing that could have happened to either one of them. They both have secrets and need each other to overcome them. What looks like two people from two different worlds might just not be the case. This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It was either from wanting to know what would happen next, to laughing, to just being that darn good. I’ve read a lot of mafia books before and I have to say that this one is right up there with my favorites. I will certainly be going back and reading the rest of the series. Between, the page turning suspense, the drama between the characters, the steam, and the final outcome, this book has it all. I highly recommend reading it if you have an afternoon free.

Mia goes to the one person she knows that can protect her , Nico and within a few days the family envelope her more than her own flesh and blood , these men might me mafia but they have a moral code of sorts and they love and protect fiercely , Mia is right where she belongs 😍

Once again this series delivers! There is not a bad book, story line or character in this series. I love that while each book flows together, every single one can be read individually.
Amy has a way of writing each character so well that readers feel like they know them. Each character plays an intricate role in the story and is a needed piece of the puzzle! Nico and Mia win hearts over, and family members and readers can’t get enough!

Amy McKinley hit it out of the park yet again with book #7 of the Mafia Elite series! I LOVE this entire series—absolutely PHENOMENAL….the books get better each time—if that is even possible. Sad that this book is the last one! Action packed, captivating read, full of bad boys, family drama, & sizzling romance. Highly recommend.

It is full of drama, violence, mystery, intrigue, danger, twists and plenty of heart pounding palpable moments. I was on the edge of my seat the whilst devouring page after page. I needed to know what was happening.

Trey , our hot doc is quite the hot commodity amongst the ladies and he’s quite oblivious to it all and Sandy , his older charge nurse is most efficient in “ protecting “ him from all this unwanted attention from his “ fans “ 😂🤦♀️but what do you expect !? Book 7 is just as amazing and page turning as the six books that came before it. With every story, including this one, the author manages to captive you with a different scenario of the same mafia world. This is another amazing mafia romance and sports the enemies-to-over trope with the tale of Nico and Mia.
Mia, mafia princess from New York, is in trouble and the person she has chosen for help? Nico la Rosa an underboss of a Chicago mafia family, aka the enemy. Will Nico be able to look past the title of enemy to protect Mia and help her take down her own family?
I don’t know what you are waiting for if you haven’t started this series. I would highly suggest it. You will be enjoying every moment from page one of book one. I cannot recommend this author or her books more.
