Another wonderful installment in this series. I did not love it as much as the previous ones simply because Trey isn’t a boss or underboss he is only a brother. So some of the things he did and was privy to in here seemed above his pay grade. I understand that it is a close family but when all the boss’ meet I don’t remember him being there in previous stories. Trey has always come off as a doctor first and it seemed like he only fixed injuries for the Five Families. In this book we get to see another side of him. There is one scene when Trey goes into Protective mode….Me-OW…I loved that scene for two reasons. First I did not think Trey had it in him to go all alpha dominant male and secondly that was so sexy!
As usual and to my delight we get to see a lot of the Boss’ and their women. Especially Sofia as she stands out in this one. We get to see her more in the sister capacity instead of a whirlwind designer and overall tough lady. Very nice!
Overall this is a real good story that I did enjoy and it is a nice add to the overall series. The story has ups and downs and went places I did not think it would. The characters are strong and protective. I look forward to Nico’s as I wonder what problems it will cause with Mia’s family.

Collateral Damage is the sixth book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. This is a brilliant second chance mafia romance- a romantic suspense with an action-packed plot, tension, danger, drama, emotion, intrigue, mafia politics, agendas, high stakes, twists, threats, and sizzling chemistry. I was so excited that we finally get Trey’s story. And what a story it is… WOW! Another fantastic addition to the series, and it’s getting harder and harder for me to choose a favourite because they are all sooooo good. We have met Trey previously through the series, as he is Sofia (Book #2) and Marco’s (Book #4) brother. His family is ‘the mafia’. But Trey isn’t really involved in the family business on a day to day level as he is a doctor working in a local hospital. But that’s not to say he doesn’t ‘contribute’ when needed. Trey is called on to help out on a kidnapping – and becomes more tangled in the situation than he desired. Especially since he and the kidnapping victim have some serious chemistry. Queue the sparks and sizzle. But danger lurks and things are not quite what they may seem. What happens makes for an exciting read. So, if you love yourself some fantastic mafia romance, romantic suspense, intensity, danger, and wonderful characters- then you definitely won’t want to miss this exciting story/series!!! I can’t wait to get my hands on Book #7- “Rivals” which is Nico’s story- it’s bound to be incredible! Happy Reading!

This book is beyond amazing! I have absolutely loved all of the previous books in this series and this one was just as good. I was so excited to read Trey’s story, he’s drawn to Hailey from the very beginning but he wants to keep her safe so he keeps his distance. He might be part of the Mafia but he has a big heart and he loves fiercely. Hailey can’t stop thinking about Trey and when circumstances bring them back together neither can deny their growing feelings. She has been through so much in the past that its hard for her to trust and she tries to keep her walls up but that only works for so long. This book is full of action, heat and romance and some twists and turns that had my mouth literally dropping open! You definitely don’t want to miss this book and the next one in the series can’t come soon enough for me!

Hailey is on the hunt to figure out where her evil stepfather has spent money intended for a children’s wing at the hospital. She and her childhood friend have cooked up a plan to get the money, but it goes south when her stepfather asked Trey La Rosa to get her back. Trey has never liked her stepfather and decides that he will help Hailey get the money back. He wasn’t ready for Hailey Carmichael when they first met at a charity event, but now he’s ready to take his chance.
I love, love, love this series! Another great book by the author. If you haven’t read any of these books I highly encourage you to start. While any of these books can be read as stand alone I would start with book one and read them in order as there are many characters that make appearances and have their own stories.

Collateral Damage is the 6th book in Amy McKinley’s Mafia Elite Series. Boy, has this series been a rollercoaster of emotions! And I am LOVING every single book more and more.
In this story we follow Mafia surgeon Dr. Trey La Rosa, whom we have already met in previous books in the series. Trey has his own unique past and heartache and when he meets Hailey, you can’t help but root for them to have a HEA. The two are thrown together when Trey comes to her rescue as she has been abducted. He didn’t expect to find someone to rekindle the spark in his heart after his own tragedy, and when he found Hailey, he wasn’t about to lose her too. Hailey and Trey are on a dark journey filled with lies and betrayal. Will they make it out alive and together? You will have to read this story to find out!

Blood Oath by Amy McKinley is the second book in the Mafia Elite Series. The book can be read as a stand alone, however, it’s the 3rd book I have read in the series. Even though I didn’t read the books in order, it was easy to follow along.
This story focuses on the story of Enzo and Sofia. A pair with a past and an uncertain future. This book ties in perfectly with Book 1 and I loved following Enzo and Sofia on their own journeys together. The fire is exceptional between the two and it sets up the storyline perfectly for the next book in the series. I am definitely a fan of Amy McKinley!

A second chance mafia romance? Yes please. This is the 6th book in this series, and I highly recommend reading the others. First because they are great, and second because there will be background information that will make your enjoyment of this book that much better. If you read this one without the others, you will still be able to keep up with the story though. Trey is an interesting main character to see, love having a mafia man who is a surgeon and seeing that dynamic play out. Hailey was a bit hesitant at first, but the situations in the book pushed the romance in the right direction and it was absolutely enthralling watching it all play out. Typical for a book from this author to hook you and not let go. Will be looking out for the next.

No Way Out by Amy McKinley is the first book in the Mafia Elite Series. In this book we meet Liliana Brambilla, the daughter of one of the Heads of the Five Families that make up the Cosa Nostra organization. Stuck under her father’s rule, Liliana just wants freedom and independence to make her own decisions. She is surrounded by her close friends and they give her comfort and peace, however, her world is disrupted when she meets her new bodyguard “Matt”.
“Matt’s” real name is Max. He has infiltrated the family at the orders of Liliana’s grandfather in Sicily. He has made himself invaluable to them in order to get close to Liliana. When he becomes her personal bodyguard, he finds himself feeling more deeply for her than he anticipated. The two collide as they are up against violence and betrayals. Their story is hot and passionate and keeps you on the edge of your seat and ready to see what the rest of the series holds in store!

I cannot say enough great things about this series….I am totally invested and continue to love each book. I recommend reading this series in order as the characters continue to be in each book. This story of Trey and Hailey I loved, and I couldn’t put the book down from beginning to end.
Trey is not only part of the mafia, he is a brilliant surgeon as well. His thoughts consumed by the death of his girlfriend and feels like no one else can break down his walls, until he meets Hailey. Things get a bit out of control when Hailey is kidnapped and Trey will do anything to get Hailey back. As you read more, there is danger, intrigue, lies, blackmail and all wrapped up into some great twists I did not see coming!
Fantastic story and looking forward to the next book of this installment!!

This is Trey, the enigmatic family doctor, and his story. Trey meets Hailey. Hailey is a puzzle. So much about her doesn’t make sense, including why she staged her own kidnapping. Trey intends to solve the puzzle. Through discovering more about each other, Trey and Hailey find their own version of family.
Another fantastic installment in this series. I can’t say enough good things about the author and this series. I LUV, LUV, LUV IT!! I never want it to end.

Book six in the series did not disappoint. This was another action packed read that kept you on yours toes. A fast read makes it easy to read in one day, which is good because you will not to put it down. This book we meet Trey, sibling number three of the De Larosa family and the family doctor. He is hired by Allen, who is the director of the hospital, to find his abducted step-daughter Hailey. Instantly, you can tell this is a lost connection between Trey and Hailey and leads you to wanting more. However, life in the Mafia does not make it easy for them. Twists and turns keep you wanting more. Great characters who bring just another great element to the Mafia families. Big tip, due yourself a favor and read the first five books in the series, although the book is fine as a stand alone, many things make more sense when the other books have been read.

4.7/5 stars This author has not missed with this series. I’ve never read a series with this many books, and they’re all just as engaging. This is book 6 and the mafia world is just as exciting as in book 1! Trey and Hailey’s storyline add a flare to the series but it’s absolutely needed. I love being able to read from this world and see characters continue to evolve.

I was so excited to read this book. Every book I have read in this series has been great and this one is no different. This is the sixth book in this series and it is my suggestion that you read the previous books in the series for a better experience and to get to know the other characters that make up the family. This book is full of action, romance, twists and turns, family, and great characters. The author pulls you right into the story and you can’t help but become invested in their lives. I find myself wanting everything to work out how I think it should. I highly recommend this book, this is a must read.

Once again this author makes me want to stay in the story world she created! Hailey and Trey stole a piece of my heart and I’m pretty sure it’s lost forever, I wouldn’t want it any other way. They each brought this story to life in different ways and them together is just an all around good time. These can be read in any order but I honestly feel like in the written order is best for a better overall storyline experience. The characters are complex and relatable, they have also become some of my top favorites. This book and this author are 5 stars all the way and highly recommended!

Collateral Damage is a second chance romance in the Mafia Elite series. I loved it from beginning to end. I always wondered if Trey was going to get his very own book since we only see bits and pieces of him in others and he is a well known surgeon that all the ladies want a piece of. Allen Mitchel is a sneaky little snake. He’s up to no good and his step daughter knows everything. Hailey is about to meet her step father when a man in a ski mask pulls up right outside the hospital and grabs her. Allen reaches out to Trey for help in locating Hailey since there is a very high ransom out on her. Trey knows he can find her with little to no effort and he does just that. Trey is a damaged soul after losing the love of his life and he is afraid to let any one on because of what had happened. Hailey has been let down by so many people in her life that she just takes it as it is. When Trey gets Hailey they make a plan to expose Allen. Will Allen pay the ransom? Will everyone find out his secrets? What about Hailey’s best friend Justin? This was a great book from beginning to end. I loved Dr Hottie La Rosa! Can’t wait for more from this author.

The way they accepted Hailey into the family right away an the women treated her like a sister was exactly the way family should be. The love story was so adorable an the mixture of violence an thrill kept my interest all the way through. Great writing an I will be reading the others.

This Mafia series is one of the best I have ever read. It has the perfect amount of violence, love, strong family ties, drama, and emotion to keep me hooked every time and I really love the inclusion of all the other couples and seeing parts of their stories continue in each new book in this series. Trey has been one of my favorite men in this world. I mean who could resist the sexy doctor who can save a life but also is strong and skilled enough to end the life of anyone who even looks at you wrong?? Definitely not me and that is exactly the type of man Trey is. Now Hailey was a fun character to read and learn about. She clearly has a heart of gold and fits in well with the other wives. I enjoyed how different her story is from many other women in this series yet she still is just as respectable and loveable as the rest of them. She is so smart and lovely she is just what this group needed. I cant wait to see this series continue.

This is the 6th book in the series and it did not disappoint. There wasn’t as much action as in pervious books in the series but don’t let that sway you from reading it because the twists and turns are there. This book is like walking through a haunted maze in the middle of the night with only the light on your phone. I was constantly sitting in the edge of my seat. I couldn’t get to the end of each page fast enough or turn to the next page even faster. The push and pull between the two characters in the book is a vibe in itself. I don’t normally go for the back and forth with characters. However, with this book I couldn’t get enough of it. I needed more banter and more jabs. It is so, so good. The friendship that builds between them makes it even better when they fall. This book is an easy to read, page turning, won’t want to put down, can’t sleep till it’s finished, and will leave you wanting more. Do yourself a favor and get a great escape into the world of mafia love in its finest. Reviewed by @bbohls

Trey has finally met the one who will bring him to his knees! He thought it was Teresa, he thought her death would end him emotionally. Boy was he wrong. Hailey is the spitfire he never thought he was missing. Her courageous character not backing down from his violent life blew him away. If he were Dark she is definitely Light! Collateral Damage, book 6 in the Magia Elite series did not disappoint. I think it may have been a tad shorter than the previous books, but still great in its own right. I’m going to be really depressed when book 7 comes out, since I believe that’s the finale. This series is so good it’s worth reading once and then reading it again. It’s romance and action thrown together! So good!

This is the 6th book in the outstanding Mafia Series by one of my favourite authors. Each book I read by this author just gets better and better. I honestly have loved every book of hers and this book is a fantastic example of her work. This is a dark mafia romance series. The author has an amazing talent at writing romantic suspense novels that you just don’t want to put down. Like every other book in this series I was pulled into the story from the very beginning and taken on a fantastic journey of drama, intrigue, danger and suspense. I absolutely adore the characters in these books and I totally fell in love with Trey and Hailey. These alpha men and their badass feisty women are a joy to read and Trey and Hailey fit perfectly into the mix. I love that we get to see the other couples from previous books and get a snippet of how their lives are progressing together. I really wish this series could go on and on. I know there is one more book coming and I can’t wait to read Nico and Mia’s story.

This was such a solid read from start to finish. Honestly, it’s probably right up there with my top three in this series. All along we have been slowly introduced to Trey as he is the brother that the whole of the Five Families can count on when something goes wrong, or when they need medical assistance. He has seemingly been the one with his head on the straightest and has been doing his very best at keeping it together. We finally got to know his backstory and why it is that he hasn’t had an interest in finding someone thus far. Of course, our in-house mafia doctor is going to be the greatest white knight there ever could be.
Along comes Hailey who believes that she is a rebel, albeit, with a cause. Her stepfather has been ruthless in his self-serving ways and won’t stop until he has as much as he can possibly get his hands on, hence his marriage and position within Hailey’s family. Both Hailey and Trey have suffered large losses and either chosen to make it ‘their fault,’ or had that idea thrust upon them, and it is wonderful to see two such magnetic personalities come together to better each other, regardless of timing. This installment held a refreshing plot, changing it up from what we have gotten used to throughout the series, and I look forward to finally getting to know Nico in the next. Highly recommend all this author has brought to the table thus far!

I have read every book in this series and I’m not sure which story I like best but this author hasn’t disappointed me yet. The characters are strong they have to be in their world. I love the little quirks and the way they play off each other makes them somewhat real. This book had it all action, tension, betrayal, romance.

Elena, with the help of some friends, faked her death to escape a psychopath in the Russian Mafia who was hellbent on ending her life. Having found some peace and a mostly humdrum existence in New Jersey for the past several years, her instincts kick in when Marco, her longtime crush turned somewhat enemy, shows up to take her back to Chicago. She’s not sure if she can trust him, but with the Russians on to her whereabouts, she doesn’t have much of a choice.
Marco, despite his own longtime crush on Elena, acted out against her during their teen years because she was already promised to another through an arranged marriage. With that contract null and void, and years having passed since she disappeared from his life, he’s more than willing to take on her safety as his own personal responsibility. The trouble will be convincing her that she can actually trust him and trying to win her over to make up for the attitude he gave her during their youth. In the meantime, Elena struggles to leave behind her fight or flight instincts and fall into the trust of her adopted mafia family to accept that she has just as much a right to be there as anyone else in the family.
If you’ve read previous books in the series, this book fills in more details about the story behind Elena’s disappearance, secrets from her past, her place in the Five Families, and her future. Don’t worry, though, if you haven’t previously read any of the other books in the series; you can literally start with any one of them and enjoy it as a standalone. But, be prepared to be sucked into the mafia world and wrapped up in the many characters that make up the series. One thing I love about the series is how you get introduced to most of the characters from the beginning, but then get to watch different stories from each of their lives unfold as you get further into the series. I’m totally hooked, and this addition is no exception.
Oh my Goodness, I absolutely love this series. In this 5th book, the story revolves around Trey and Hailey. Hailey has always been second best in life and took to hiding in the background as much as possible. Trey, the sauve sexy doctor/ mafia man is trying to get over the death of his coffee shop girlfriend Teressa. Trey and Hailey are thrown together by unforeseen circumstances. This book will keep you reading long into the night or will be read in one day. I could not put it down. All our favourite characters are still in this story which draws you in even more. I hope this series never has to end.

Trey is the doctor in the Mafia Elite house. He works himself hard because of the guilt he carries over the untimely death of his late girlfriend. He knows it happened because of her association with him and his family and he can’t seem to forgive himself. At a hospital function, Hailey catches his eye. She is someone he could see himself with but balks at pushing it farther because of his last girlfriend. When Hailey is kidnapped out in front of the hospital and a ransom is asked for her return, Trey is asked to find her because of his Mafia ties. He has every intention of finding her and returning her. However, things go awry when not all is as it seems! Can he save the girl and protect his heart? Or will he lose his heart and possibly the girl?
I just really love this series! As soon as it was available, I read it! Yep…. I read it in one day! It’s hard not to love the characters in these books. They aren’t perfect, but they are all perfect for each other. I enjoy reading about them interacting as a big family and protecting what is theirs. When this series is over, I will be very sad and be praying that the author writes another AMAZING series!!

Having read all the previous books in the series, it was nice to finally get a bit more of the story on Trey, the mafia doctor. I felt like this one was a little different than the previous books, like a step back from the mafia side of things compared to previous books, although perhaps it’s more fitting since Trey was mostly in the background up until this point. This book also seemed to have less overall drama and danger, but still plenty of intrigue and romance.
When Hailey gets kidnapped in front of her stepfather, he seeks help from Trey in the hopes of not involving the police. As Trey discovers the truth behind Hailey’s kidnapping, he decides to rescue her and keep her close for her own safety and his own budding feelings for her. Hailey’s all too happy to finally get some time with someone she’s crushed on for the past year, and she easily fits in with the other mafia wives and sisters.

Trey and Hailey’s story, one of my favorites in the series, has brought out the emotions as I’ve read it. This story will have you riding the emotional roller-coaster as Trey is the mellow, doctor, brother of Marco, Nico and Sophia. He gets to fix up the injured and he works as a surgeon at the hospital. Hailey has a naughty side and gets herself caught up in a big problem at the hospital. Trey rescues her but there are still big issues. Plot twist that noone sees coming. This author writes phenomenal stories that have you feeling the action, drama, mystery, romance, all of it like you are right there. It’s the only series that I yell at the characters in the book like I yell at the TV. I am so engaged that it makes the book a winner for me and that’s how it has been the whole series. The characters are so full of human personality and quirks that they feel real and you can empathize with them. The plot flows smooth, no chop, even with going back and forth between characters. The story feels so real One of my favorite authors because of the fact that she can keep you engaged all the way through. I would give it more than a 5 if I were allowed. It will be on my Best of 2022 list.
