Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite, #4)Savage Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mafia romance is one of my favorite genres to read, and this author really does a fantastic job with this in each of the Mafia Elite books but this one, this one is just the diamond in the rough. I devoured this book in one sitting, all in one night actually and I had zero guilt for the loss of sleep the next day. This book just has everything you could want from the drama and intrigue, to the angst and passion that will ooze off the screen as you read. I just couldn’t put it down until I knew how things would culminate for Marco and Elena. Now, I am not going to really give you much more than what the synopsis would be as far as what’s in this book, but you do not want to miss their story. These two will have you yelling at your kindle for multiple reasons, I know I was. I can’t wait to see what will come next!

Mafia at its best
The brilliance continues. If you haven’t read the first two books in this series, please do so. This series needs to be experienced as a whole. Each book focuses on an important couple within the family. This is Marco and Elena’s story who both have secrets and a past that threatens their future. I absolutely love this series. The author makes me feel so connected with each of the characters. Each book has just blown me away and this one was just as amazing. Can’t wait for Ruthless Heir.

This is book 4 in this series and I am enamored by all of the characters in each book. The way all of the stories overlap and contain the characters from previous stories is just fabulous. The blending of the families and how the arranged marriages have been modified to work better for those involved is great.
I really am enjoying this entire series and I am looking forward to read the next one and seeing what action and love awaits us in that.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elena Caruso is a beautiful young woman who is running away from her past so that she can keep herself and those she loves safe from harm and for a while it has worked, that is until one day when she receives a communication from someone saying that she has been found. Marco La Rosa is the boss of a branch of the La Rosa family, one of the Five Mafia Families in Chicago and he is as handsome as he is deadly, but the one thing that he has wanted disappeared from his life, but just when he thought he had come to terms with that, she pops back up on his radar and he will do anything to find her.

As Elena starts off her daily routine, she goes through the motions of her life while making sure that there is nobody following or watching her, just like she has done everyday since she left behind everything she knew, she enjoys what she has created for herself. However, as she returns from her morning run, she notices that she has missed calls, assuming it is her boss, she waits until she is back in her apartment, but when she finds that it is the communication she always dreaded receiving, she starts to panic and goes to her plan b, grabbing her pre-prepared bag and everything else she might need, she gets ready to leave the apartment, that is until someone starts banging on her door. It is at this moment that she knows it is too late and that all she can do now is fight her way out, but when she opens the door to an unexpected guest, her brain misfires completely, he is more handsome than ever and all her feelings towards him she tried to suppress rush back in an instant.

Marco has just found out where the love of his life has been since she disappeared and he leaves to retrieve her the first opportunity that he can and when she opens the door and he finally sees her in front of him, it takes his breath away, just like before, however, now she is a woman and does it on a whole new level. When their eyes meet across the threshold, Elena tries to get round him and after grappling for a bit she flees and he has to use every ounce of speed he has to keep up with her. Elena knows she can’t fight Marco, so she does what she does best and manages to get away, but she knows that he will be right on her tail, so she knows the area she has been living in to her advantage and nearly manages to escape, that is until she runs into another assailant who pulls a gun on her and by the sounds of his accent, he is one of the Russian Bratva and the other Mafia she has been running from all her life. As a standoff ensues, Marco rounds a corner to the scene and when Elena is injured, he sees red and kills the man responsible, quickly followed by scooping her into his arms, taking her to safety and looking after her until he can take her home.

Will Elena and Marco be able to overcome the hurdles between them and keep her safe from the dangers which are quickly closing in on her, or will they be ripped apart by circumstance again? This is a brilliant second chance mafia romance filled with danger, secrets, revelations, hard truths and harder choices as two worlds collide in a fiery and violent chain of events, as you are whirled around in the undercurrent of the lives of the Five Families while trying to keep your head above water at the same time as those inhabiting it.

Wow what a story! I absolutely loved this book it really was an amazing read! Aly and Luca’s story was just sizzling! There was definitely some chemistry between them two of them even thought they were from rival mafia families. This may have been a short story but it definitely didn’t feel that way, it was well developed and had a great flow to it. I loved the dual POV in the book it meant that I really understood how the two characters were feeling about each other.
I am so excited to read more from this series I cannot wait!!

Savage Secrets (Mafia Elite, #4)Savage Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Yet another razor sharp dabble into the dark world of mafia men and women. Enemy lurked around every corner with evil intent. It was a real nail biting thrill to read. Now, to the characters. Loved them. Charisma, chemistry and raw soul deep attraction ran rampant between the leading couple. In a world as deadly as theirs, deals and dastardly agreements were as normal as breathing. This story had intrigue, mystery, suspense and a flair for the dramatic. A colourful and brilliantly written story, with characters that were built to withstand the worst this dangerous life could throw at them. They dealt with everything that came their way with ruthless tenacity and grace. While life was often ugly and uncertain, the love the leading pair had was limitless and it would take more than the underworld to bring them down. Truly epic. 5 stars.

I have not read one book from this author that I have not thoroughly loved. I see Amy’s name and must get the book; it really is a no brainer. Her writing is addictive, and I am hooked. This is another explosive story for this wonderful series. The intensity and anticipation are palpable and just explodes of the pages. This author does dark mafia romance suspense like no one else. It is rife with angst and fear, violence and danger, darkness, and secrets, and lies. The complex threads that Amy weaves her stories, and her characters keeps you coming back for more. You will be riveted to the pages and find that hours have passed by the time you manage to pull yourself away.

She thought she had more time but now she is once again in the fight for her life.

Luca Rossi has been following Aly Mancini since she was sixteen. As the only witness to the murder, Aly decides not to inform her father. When her brother, Jonny, dies, Pierre Mancini tells Aly she is required to marry Coy. Despite her protests, Mancini kept her captive in his home. The evening before her wedding, Luca appears. After a brief struggle, Luca drugged Aly. When she awakens, Aly finds herself a prisoner and Luca’s bride to be. The Rossi family directly opposes the Mancini family. Luca’s marriage to Aly would be a powerful move to end the Mancini family. There is a problem with the plan. Luca and Aly both have powerful feelings for one another. The loyalty to each family is the only issue preventing them from confessing their feelings to one another. What will it take to tip the balance?

An engaging Mafia romance, I thoroughly enjoyed the amount of relatable characterizations made throughout the story. Luca’s coldness was his defensive armor, and I fully understand why he did his best not to show any weakness to anyone. Growing up, she never found favor by the Mancini family. The result from one of Pierre’s affairs. She didn’t have the same loyalty to her father and went to incredible lengths to make sure she was not dependent on him for her own business success. Mancini’s attempt to manipulate Aly disgusted me. The suspense of this story is epic, and I would recommend this book to any adult reader who loves a slow burn romance with inconceivable twists.

This book is sooo good! It had me hooked from the very first page. I’ve been dying to learn more about Elena and Marco since I started this series and I was definitely not disappointed! There was so much action and romance in this book and the love between Elena and Marco just melts me! He’s so sweet and protective and tender with her and she’s such a total spitfire. She’s been through so much and faces even more once she’s back home with Marco. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and there were some terrifying parts but the ending was everything. This is a book you definitely won’t want to miss and I am counting the days till the next book in this series is released. If you haven’t read the others yet do yourself a favor and read them, not just for the background info on everyone but because they are all such amazing books!

Another great installment in this series! The title says it all…it is chock full of secrets. I loved trying to figure them out while reading. This book is an easy, interesting read and I easily wanted to finish it in one day. I struggled putting it down because I was very interested in Elena. She has been a secretish character in most of the series. She is full of crazy skills, charm and smarts. She is my favorite character. Marco is the normal possessive mafia guy, who has his own secrets, and I did like him but Elena and her story took the lead.

I did love seeing all the girls and their husbands. It just enjoy how they are always there for each other.

Overall a great book and I thought this could be the end but nope. I’m telling you..this book is full of secrets. Anyway I love the characters and the storyline and can’t wait for more.

There’s always been a pull between Elena and Marco. However, she has to go into hiding from the Russian mafia; leaving everyone behind thinking that she is dead. Marco finds out she’s alive and goes to retrieve her before the Russians can find her. To give her added protection, he marries her. As the heat on Elena ramps up, will they be able to find out why the Russians want her so bad? Can Marco protect her from them, if he finds out?

I am really enjoying this series! I love how the women are not just side pieces needing to be protected. They are strong in their own right, together. The men are typical Alpha males that love their women deeply and will destroy anyone that hurts them. The intricacies of all of their relationships are fun to read. Makes me wonder if the mafia is still alive and well! Can’t wait for the next book!!

This is the first book that I have read from this author. I really enjoyed it. It was well written with a story that kept me interested. I love dark mafia novels. They are full of danger, intrigue and sexual tension. Luca is the heir to the Rossi family and Aly is the illegitimate child of the Mancini family. They should be sworn enemies but one fateful day they crossed paths and their lives have been intertwined ever since. The chemistry between the two is off the charts. This enemies to lovers story is captivating and kept me on edge. There were parts that were definitely intense. I will be looking out for more books written by this author.

Elena rejoins her Mafia family; Marco claims her and immediately has his hands full. Elena was trained since birth to survive and four years of independence isn’t going to end with a Mafia wedding. While each book can be read individually, reading the series has been a pleasure and I enjoy each one more than the last one. Just when I thought Elena and the ladies had taken care of business and we were at “happily ever after” a surprise twist leaves my mouth hanging open and my fingers anxiously turning pages. The Mafia men are strong and sexy, but it’s the women that really make this an enjoyable read. Every book has me looking for a glass of wine to join the gals and this one is no exception!

I don’t think I will ever get tired of the writing style, nor her ability to completely captivate the reader and this author insisting that they try to read the entirety of her novels in one sitting. I have been knee-deep in this series since it began and can honestly say that each one adds more intensity to it than the last. There were tons of twists and turns during this biting the inside of my cheek adventure. The female main character is sassy, independent, and has put the safety of her family and friends before her own for the last several years, which just shows how loving and caring Elena is. She takes everything in stride, for the most part, and I have to say I probably admire her the most out of all the mafia ‘princesses’ in the group thus far.

We have gotten to know Marco well by now, through the interactions that prior novels have included in their stories, and he has been closed off to the deep feelings that only one woman has ever brought forward in him. Now that she has returned, we get to know a softer, more human side to him, and I’ve got to say, Elena and Marco are end game, if I were to have my way. I do hope there is more to come for the Five Families and will be waiting eagerly to escape again into these action-packed romances. You go, girl, five stars!

This is a five star read by an author that is definitely in my top 10 authors. I have absolutely loved everything that I have read of hers and this book is another shining example of her fantastic writing. I love reading mafia romance and this book, and the rest of the series, is probably the best mafia romances that I have read.
This book has so much to offer. It’s a mafia romance, it’s enemies to lovers and it includes an arranged marriage. What could possibly go wrong? Writing wise, absolutely nothing, story wise – anything and everything. To begin with Marco has thought that Elena had been killed 4 years previously. Marco also believes that Elena hates him.
What we get is a fantastic story that has you gripped from the very first page. In fact, I was gripped to the thought of Marco and Elena’s story when it was hinted at in previous books and I was hyped up to read their story. This book will take you on an amazing journey filled with death, drama, intrigue and some very hot romance. What else could you possibly need?
I love this story and the group of characters that make up this series. They are all intriguing characters with great stories to tell and I pray that the author keeps this series going. It’s one that I will definitely read again.

This is book 4 in the Mafia Elite series and they just keep getting better and better. I have loved all these stories for the romance, danger and action that is packed into them. The characters are so well written that they are a joy to read about. Even though the Mafia bosses are tough hard men we see the softer side to them when they are with the person they love. This is Marco and Elena.

Marco is the boss of La Rosa family. For years he thinks the love of his life has died but now he knows that’s not true and he will stop at nothing to make her his. However there is a threat from the Russians that want her dead but no one can understand why?

Elena has gone into hiding from the Russians. They murdered her mum and for some reason they won’t stop until she is also taken care of. With this threat now finding her she has to return to the protection of the Mafia family. She has always loved Marco but his attitude towards her has always been hostile so why is he going out of his way to help her now?

This story has so many twists that you are gripped from beginning to end. There are so many secrets that are revealed which shocked me and kept me reading.
Can Marco protect his love from harm? Will the secrets of Elena’s past come between them and when the secrets are revealed what will that mean between the La Rosa family and the Russians?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this author! I can not ever get enough of her books, let alone this amazing, installment in the series really takes flight. I loved the characters we got to read about in this one, I was very excited when i Knew it was to contain a certain character. I was not disappointed in any shape, form, or word!
Danger and passion can go hand in hand, but can darkness be overlooked to be allow yourself what you ache for most?

Elena was one over the books pieces of her were being put together, and if you read the previous ones, you learned something of her that was thought to be otherwise. She brought a lot to the table as a great character and I really loved her and the things hidden her mind and her heart, made a true and good impact on the story and how it progressed! She was brilliant and had her own sense of spunk, which I loved as it made her the person she was.

And Marco, he was a treat I would say! He was a guy that really sought after what he wanted, and would die for those he loved. He had a caring heart, and you could feel his pain in the words as the book started and through out. Both characters were truly undeniably real and a rare thing to read about. I loved these characters and this installment and how it progressed!

The installments just keep sucking me in more and more. I love learning about all the characters and how they all tie in together! I love this author and will recommend her times a million. And this series, my goodness, yes you need to read it if you haven’t read it already. This book alone, really brought on a lot of emotions an suspense! A must read and high recommendation from me. I will not hesitate to say that!

I’m just going to say Wow!!! This author gives me chills with this series. The action is intense. Because it’s a mafia story there is tragedy, romance, haunting tales from the past, and scary adventures. You can find that scattered throughout the whole story. In this chapter of the series (book 4), we find Marco trying to keep Elena alive. Being a Mafia Princess in hiding isn’t easy. The chemistry is there and will have you smirking and giggling. They are like two little kids. I loved how well they fit together. There are a few challenges they have to through, little sister Sofia is just one of them. Can this arranged marriage survive? Can Elena survive the Bratva? So many questions? They can get through this if the beginning is any indication. I can’t give away all the secrets. Trust me, you need to read the series. It’s worth your time and the money. I would give it more than a 5 if I could. It’s at the top of my favorite list for the year so far.

I enjoyed this book but it took a few chapters for me to actually like it. I’m glad I did stick with reading it because I came to love the relationship between Aly and Luca. Aly is the illegitimate daughter of the Mancini family crime boss and Luca is the son and heir of the Rossi family. Luca has been watching out for and protecting Aly since she was a teen and his attraction to her is undeniable. When he discovers she is supposed to wed another in an arranged marriage, Luca sweeps in and takes her as his own. During this time, Aly discovers that Luca’s family is not like her own. They actually care for each other and Aly begins to care about them as well, especially Luca. Once I got into this story, I could not put it down. I appreciate all the action and the rivalry between the two families is well written. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Savage Secrets is the 4th book in the Mafia Elite series and we finally get the story of Elena, mafia princess who faked death to avoid the Bratva. I have been waiting for her story since we discovered she’s actually alive in the prior books and it does not disappoint. She is under her new identify when Marco arrives to take her home back into the Five Families and fight against those that seek her death. The world she left behind 5 years ago has definitely changed and Elena rediscovers her friendships, her first love and new powers of the families. I really enjoyed the story between Elena and Marco. As always, the friendships among the ladies in this book and series is stellar. This is a quick read full of action and interesting twists. Highly recommend!
