Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts Anthology – Review by Michelle Austin

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Feisty Heroines: Romance Collection of Shorts was a great 5 star read.
We get over 30 great short novellas in this book by several different authors.

There are so many different genres in this collection that everyone will find a story they will love, and get to know new authors. The stories are short enough that you can read a couple here and there as you have time.

We get a mixture of HEA’s and cliffhangers. Which will entice you to pursue the author’s for more. There are lots of great strong independent women and men in these stories as well.
There are twists and turns, action, romance and so much more. I was pulled right into each story by the authors writing.

I think the part I found different and really liked was at the end of each story we got a little bio on the author and a list of their books. The other great thing about this book is that profits are going to a great cause. If you’re looking for a collection of books with lots of different genres this is a read for you. 1-click and get started today.

Feisty Heroines Romance Collection of Shorts: ParanormalContemporaryFantasyHistorical Anthology by so many wonderful authors. Each one is very, very short but there is something for everyone in this collection from paranormal and magical creatures to historical stories and everything in between to delight the senses and test the emotions. I have laughed and cried and shown every emotion as I went from one story to the next and each feisty female. I enjoyed them all and have certainly found new authors and stories that are just waiting to be read in full. There are so many favourite stories that I can not choose one over another.

Angel Watcher – D.F Jones
Fallen Angels, war and realising that not all you see is bad.

Dragon Rules – Tia Didmon
This one made me laugh at the opening line. Dragon shifters and being set free and finding there is more to a horrible life.

Moon Magic (New Orleans Coven) – Angela Sanders
Witches, witchcraft, love and loss will give you a jerk to the heart.

Within the Shadows (A Shadows Trilogy Short) – Amy Hale
Unusual powers, selling what should be your most precious commodity and a willing neighbour to set your soul on fire.

Dawn of A New Era – Brenda Trim

Banshee Kisses – Ellen Mint
She thinks she is saving him, but he has a secret he can’t remember. A ghost and the reaper, what an unlikely pair.

Whiskey Love – Maria Vickers
Prohibition, an arranged marriage and unlikely love.

Powerful Things – Renee Regent
A cause, a broken heart and a second chance at love.

Redemption – Samantha Kade
Psychic dreams, a killer, missing children and a fight to be heard and find the killer. This one brings out the feels.

Good Bones – Maggie Adams
A millionaire wants what he can’t have. She is broke and unwilling to let go of the family legacy. Will they be able to find a common ground? I really liked this story. Maggie has a way of telling stories that make you intrigued and engrossed in the journey.

Keep the Light – I.D Johnson
A lighthouse keeper and a woman washed ashore find love.

Rescuing Lord Faulkner (Regency Redemption Series) – Tess St. John
A broken heart, a passion for painting and a love rekindled.

To Rescue My Princess – Lane McFarland
Set in Scotland thrones being overtaken, and prisoners kept in horrific conditions. Rescued by a love lost.

The Right Knight – Barbara Bettis
The king decreed that this knight will have his castle and a woman to go with it but first impressions leave a lot to be desired.

Destiny’s Way – Karen Muir
A knight in shining armour helps a beautiful woman escape a beast only to be set upon and paying the price.

Forever Equals (A Shelton Legacy Story) – Ruth A. Casie
Not your typical girl from the 1200’s, fighting with a sword is more her style so when trouble tries to take her in hand the lies and deceit of others is brought to light.

The Dragon’s Assassin Sunstryker – SheriLynn Marean
Being paid a lot of money to do a job is high on her list if it means a better life for her younger brother but what she finds is so much better than this dragon could have ever imagined.

Having to prove you are not your father has been taxing on this witch who proves she is so much more with her Fated next her.

Just One Last Chance (A Second Chance Feisty Heroine Romance) – Lauren Wood
She is good at her job but is it enough to get the biggest job and can she work beside her lost love?

Spencer: Bad Boy Cage – P. Macias

All she wanted is to take photographs and forget the pain in her heart. When she returns home for a funeral her past shows up and she finally reaches out for help.

Déjà vu On the Seas (An Angelica Mason Series Short Story) – Stephany Tallis
I am sure it is a story about depression and/or mental illness, but I admit I was unable to follow it all.

Falling For Nora (An Office Romance) – Claire Angel
This feisty redhead has anger issues and has gone viral. She only hopes that it will not jeopardize her new job.

Turning Up the Heat – Ashlee Price
First impressions are not always correct. Hopes are forged when a dog who needs a forever home has two people vying for her love.

Not only did I get to red work from some of my favourite authors- Maggie Adams, Renee Regent, and Felicity Brandon- I also got to explore the work of many new to me authors and add a slew of new books to my TBR…. Every book worms dream!
There are some intriguing storylines, interesting characters, very suspenseful moment and surprising developments; some funny, light-hearted and touching moments; as well as some hot and spicy times. But come the end of the book you are bound to reflect back with a smile on your face!
You won’t regret buying this anthology, it is worth every cent of the purchase price- 36 books for the price of one! What a bargain!

Thank you to all the contributing authors!

This is a short story. One of those quick reads, to fill in that few moments you have to spare. Two young adults have one spot they both want. An old rundown mansion. Both of their reasons are valid, one has money and one does not. Will Griff and Casey come to an agreement? You will need to read this story and the others written by many authors.

This Anthology has many great stories and just as many great authors. The one thing I will take from Feisty Lawyers is the many new authors. I can add to my list of Must Read Books. Job well done Maggie Adams!

5 stars!

The Feisty Heroines Romance Collection is an amazing set of different stories from different authors. I really like anthologies because it gives me a chance to read multiple different short stories as well as experience new authors. This book has many strong heroines as the main characters as the title says, these stories have everything including paranormal, historical and basic romance stories. All of which are wonderful reads. One really wonderful story is Good Bones by Maggie Adams. In this story we meet Casey and Griffin. Griffin wants to take over s large mansion that he believes has something important from his late grandfather, Casey works at this mansion that is currently a hospice home, she owns and runs it along with Mona. She wants to transform the mansion into a B&B but Griffin wants to purchase the land and turn it into a golf resort. Casey puts her foot down and will stop at nothing to make sure that her land never gets into Griffin’s hands. The story is a perfect short and wonderful read. There weren’t any stories in this anthology that I didn’t like. I highly recommend this book to any romance lover.

Feisty Heroines is a collection of short stories by 36 fantastic authors. The stories vary in genre, with two sections dedicated to paranormal and fantasy stories such as Tia Didmon’s Dragon Rules and Elleen Mint’s Banshee Kiss, one section of contemporary romance such as Maggie Adams’ Good Bones and Savannah Kade’s Redemption, and one section of historical fiction including To Rescue My Princess by Lane McFarland and Destiny’s Way by Karen Muir.
This collection is a great way to meet new authors. The short stories don’t require a big commitment, and after each one there is information about books the author has written. Romance fans are bound to find some new favourites, and the mix of genres might draw you out of your comfort zone.
As the title of the collection suggests, all of these stories present a strong female lead. I was particularly impressed by Casey in Adams’ Good Bones, who runs a palliative care home and is fighting a developer who wants to turn the property into a fancy golf course. Her unconditional care for others and determination to do what is best for the community is admirable.
For me, this is a five star collection. It’s introduced me to a lot of authors who I look forward to reading more of, and the short stories have been perfect for flicking through in a lunchbreak (they would also be great for reading on the train if I wasn’t stuck at home!). I’d definitely recommend this to romance fans who can’t decide what to read next!

This is an amazing collection of short stories which feature feisty women as then main character. They cover all generes of romance such as Paranormal, Contemporary, Fantasy, and Historical.

All the stories are good reads but one of my favourites is by Maggie Adams and is called Good Bones. It is a story written very well and even though it is a short story you get the full complete story so you don’t feel like anything is missing out of it because of the length.

Griffin is a successful business man who has his eye on buying a mansions and turning it into a golf resort. But its not just any mansion. It was a home for the elderly and it was where his grandfather passed away. He is determined to get his hands on the property but what he doesnt count on is the owner Casey.

Casey is the owner of the home and it has been in her family for generations. When an inspector came she was told all the repairs that needed doing and she doesn’t know how she is going to do them with little to no funds.
Casey plans to change the home back into a b&b but this plan is stopped thanks to Griffin’s interference.

Can Casey save her family home? Will Griffin be able to turn it into the resort he wants? And will they uncover the secret his grandfather left and find happiness together.
