The Chosen was a brilliant and captivating read by Cari Schaeffer –it is also the first book that I have read by her and the first thing that I noticed was how fantastic her writing was. It was imaginative, creative and very entertaining. The action started straight away which I loved; it meant that I was already hooked into the story from the very first page. I really enjoyed the plot for the story and thought that it was very unique and my attention was definitely held throughout the book. I really liked the characters in the story and the bond that they had going through, I especially liked Gemma, I thought that she had this real determination about her along with a fierce loyalty that I admired! I am really looking forward to seeing where the author takes this series and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Lost in Love by Charlotte Roth a four-star read you will adore. This is the second novel in the Miss Apple Pants series, I would say read them in order as even though its not necessary it does give the whole story as it picks up three years after the first and continues the story, so you get the most reading them in order. This was sweet and funny but at times a teeny bit annoying, and confusing. This is a light-hearted series and one that if you enjoy that type of thing you will enjoy. Anyone who has been a little bit of a clutz will identify with Ella.

Back in the Ring by Brooke May is book four of The Predator Series. Back in the Ring is a contemporary romance and can be read as a standalone. I couldn’t put this book down!!
Bijou, in an effort to keep her husband’s dream alive is pushing herself to run a youth center and keep it going. More often than not she just feels defeated. Noah is such a kind person who really wants to help Bijou keep the center open. There is an immediate connection between Bijou and Noah and Bijou can’t help the attraction. However, both Bijou and Noah are dealing and trying to heal with things from their past and Bijou is not sure she’s able to handle Noah’s demons with her own issues on her plate.
I really enjoyed this book. The entire time I felt all the emotions the characters were feeling. I couldn’t put this book down and didn’t want to! I absolutely want to read more books in this series now. I’m hooked.

Dang! I can’t believe what I just read. I’ve never been in a relationship like Leda and Sergio’s. The minute a man starts acting like Sergio did I was out. But I’ve also only been in love one time. I married my best friend and he broke my heart. It’s been almost three years and no relationship. So I’m more like Leda’s mom in this story. I can understand and feel her grief and depression. I’ve not met a lot of women who have been in abusive relationships. But I have learned from reading their stories that it’s the fear and the brainwashing that makes them stay. Maybe not all cases but some. For years you have some telling you what you can and can’t do. It starts to sound right. The story was so emotional and selfish. By nature we are selfish creatures. But there is something in us that compels us to be kind to others. Sergio was selfish and destructive. His need to fix himself through Leda was damaging them both. I also thought that Leda was selfish when she refused to make more time. You goals and dreams are important but you can’t claim to love someone if your consistently putting them last. They both need to grow and work on who they are and who they want to be. Overall the story was crazy. The highs and lows just had me overwhelmed. Review by @gguerrero89

Yearning Young is book two in the Burning Britely series by Deidre Huesmann. Braeden and Jeff’s story continues in this easy to read tale.
Braeden has a lot going on and struggles to work it all out and get a handle on his feelings. He fell for Jeff quickly and very unexpectedly, which has him reeling. His home life is difficult, so all of that together is a huge weight for a young guy to carry on his own. I really loved how the author described his journey, from falling for Jeff, to working out what his next move would be. The emotions were first love at its most basic and real. I really engaged with these characters, and fell for them even more than I did in the first story. An impressive story that was witty, funny and soul touching. 5 stars

5 Star An Appointment (Summer in New York Book 4) By Lindsay Marie Miller is the fourth Book in the Summer in New York series and my favorite yet. This story is about learning to trust, overcoming your past and struggles. My heart ached for these characters. Savannah and Preston have both had relationships in the past that didn’t work out .Preston knew the moment he saw her in his office ,he was in trouble. Theres a couple of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat turning the pages I had to know what happens next. I highly recommend this book.i look forward to reading more from this Author.

Knights Who Won My Heart is the fourth and final instalment in the Knights series by Sonya Jesus- and what a ride it has been! Ms. Jesus certainly brought her “A” game and left the best till last. I have loved this series and the characters, right from the beginning- and what a journey it has been. The whole way, Ms. Jesus kept the intensity dialed up to ‘high’- pulling me in and keeping me clambering for more. This story is a continuation from the previous three books, so if you haven’t read them, I highly recommend that you do- because you need all that information to fully appreciate and understand the events, character motivations, and developments in this book. After the events in the previous book, and the way it ended, I was on tenterhooks to find out what would happen! This book took the story, characters, suspense, intrigue, and intensity…. and ramped it up several notches. Right from the beginning, my head was spinning with possibilities, as well as many questions that I needed the answers to. Ms. Jesus has infused her story with so much mystery, danger, drama, angst, violence, sinister intent, schemes, the creepy factor, obsession, intrigue, romance, and much, much more. I have really enjoyed the series so far, but this book is definitely my pick of the bunch, by far! As I discovered in the last book/s and again in this one- the author has a strong, detailed and descriptive style- she’s able to easily build the intensity and tension in her storyline by manoeuvring the plot to suit any and every situation. The clever way she manipulated the events is quite masterful. She created lots of intrigue and excitement- building the anticipation to an all-time high- and kept me guessing the whole way through. I was flipping the pages, immersed in the story and trying to figure out what I would find on every page, or around the next corner. What a way to finish this fantastic series! I will definitely be reading the spin off series, “The Soccer Gods”, which is coming soon. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us! #TEAMROBINS

This was such a wonderfully emotional read. This book is very realistic and had me completely invested in the relationship between Leda and Sergio, and also Leda’s life as a whole. These two are completely opposite but that doesn’t dim the chemistry, it also doesn’t mean they are right for each other either. This story very connectable because it makes you feel all the emotions the characters are going through. There are real life problems that most of us have been through and for me that makes this book more enjoyable. This author does an exceptional job letting the emotions jump off the pages and I highly recommend this book.

I love the beginning of this series. It was a quick read, as it caught my Interest on page and held me there until the last page. Heather Silvio has written a fun filled suspense novel. So much fun was packed in this story. I also love the characters, I felt they could be my friends. I am looking forward to the next book in this series. Well done Heather Silvio! Well Done!
Michael is in the presidential race and his campaign manager is pushing him to find a first lady. He’s not thrilled about it but finally agrees to it. We need a First Lady to keep you out of trouble and to appeal to the electorate.
Kendall is Michael’s speech writer but when he called her in for a meeting to discuss a scheme she was floored, it was not what she was expecting. Michael was very convincing and Kendall finally agreed to help him. The only thing she didn’t expect were the feelings that were starting to flare up the more time she spent with him. Michael was also starting to see Kendall in a different light as well.
Will he let his guard down and let her into his heart? Can these two have a HEA?
I really liked both characters. Kendall was great she was smart, fun and knew how to stand her ground and give it right back. The bantering was great, I had several LOL moments. Michael was great as well even though he was a little reserved when it came to women. These two were great for each other and they had some very steamy moments. Desperately Seeking Sixty-Nine: A Spicy Romantic Comedy About the Afterlife (The Green Room Chronicles Book 1) By J.D. Frettier
I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this book but I was intrigued. I’m glad I decided to dive right in because I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was humorous, original, sexy, and more for such a short story. I certainly hope there is a green room I can go to in the afterlife and get my body fixed up!! I loved the characters in this story and the flashbacks to Woodstock. I was sucked into this story right away and since it was such a quick read I found myself wanting more when I got to the end. I recommend this great fun loving sexy read. There are deeper feelings at times in this story and I think those are a wonderful addition and makes this story that much more enjoyable. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Coming Home by Jane Suen was a beautiful but emotional book. It’s a great length for a Friday night read! We get to see the continuation (four months later) of the 2 main characters Connor and Mary Ann. This book also introduces new characters to the story and has multiple POVs. Even though it’s set in the winter time around Christmas I feel like it would be great any time of year. Jane Suen has done an outstanding job writing this book!

Little Do You Know is the fifth story in A.M. Myers’ Bayou Devils MC series! I have been waiting for it for a while as after reading the first story in the series I have been hooked on Bayou Devils MC! I love MC genre and Bayou Devils MC is definitely one of the ones to follow ardently! Little Do You Know is the story of Noah and Kady and what was most surprising is that in no way did the writer take us into the direction that I had been expecting! She gave us heartbreak and deep love and secrets and family and … At times I was crying so hard that I could barely see … at times I was so anxious that I wanted to jump ahead and see what happens so that I could just sit back and enjoy the ride … It was great to meet up with the gang from the first four books and Noah and Kady’s story just added their own little sparkle to the Bayou Devils’ MC/family story! If you have not read the other stories then I KNOW you will go and start from the beginning after having finished Noah and Kady’s story! Enjoy the ride AND I cannot wait for book six which is supposed to come out in May!

Lights, Camera, Action is the first novel in this series. I found it easy to read and the storyline very exciting. This was a romantic mystery novel that I could not put down. Taking place in Las Vegas, main character Catherine opens a new talent agency branching from her former location in New York City. She has her own abilities and was a sweet, strong, and determined character. I loved her inner dialogue. I also loved Alex, the hunk and also one of her stars. He was an interesting character with his own secrets. I can’t wait to read book two!

The Protector: Mac is the first full book in Lisa B. Kamps’ new series called Cover Six Security! I have read other of her series so I knew that whatever direction she has decided to take us into, it would be smashing! And it was! I had not read the real introduction to the series, the novella where we meet first our Tabitha “TR” Meyers and Gordon “Mac” MacGregor so I know I need to go back to it as apparently it gives us even more of the backstory! The Protector: Mac is filled with suspense, intrigue and action … it is twisted and distorted and at time you have to take a moment and think “WTH!” and then … it all comes together! I loved how the writer had added another point of view in addition to Mac and TR …. wait for it …. the bad guy! It added a whole another layer to the atmosphere! I cannot wait for all the other guys in the Cover Six Security to get their own stories and I hope that we will also get a bit more of Mac and TR as they are part of the gang AND (not giving it away), TR is also changing careers!

This is the third book in the Seraphina Series and I highly recommend reading them in order. There are threads and arcs that follow with each story and it will just make more sense. It has been a bit since I read books 1 & 2 and wished I had skimmed them a bit before jumping in to SERAPHINA’S VENGEANCE.
As with the other stories in this series, this is a complex tale that is constantly twisting and turning along the way. It’s a fluid story and VENGEANCE is a bit darker than the first two. I feel like the underlying moral is that we are always changing and growing and become more comfortable in our own skin. As we grow, others may not grow at the same speed. The voices in our heads are not always in our best interest. (I know this is super cryptic, but once you read the series it will make more sense).
I think the author does a great job of creating a narrative that moves the story along naturally. This is classified as paranormal-fantasy-romance and I think there is a good balance of all. It has been fun watching Sera grow as the stories continue.
I look forward to reading book 4 in this fantastic series.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and the first book of the series. It’s quick and entertaining and an overall adventure. This story jumps right in and because I had not read the blurb or given more than a quick glance at the cover, I initially wasn’t sure what type of book this was going to be. THE CHOSEN is everything!!
I would classify this as a YA/Coming of Age story that I think would hold my young nieces attention. The chapters are short and each holds a lot of action and forward movement. The story ebbs and flows in that miraculous way that suddenly I was at the end and I wanted more. I assume there is going to be AT A MINIMUM four stories to the series and I think if they all continue this strong and are this to the point, they could go on for a long time coming.

I really do enjoy a light hearted fun read and that is exactly what this novel was, this had me laugh out right at times or smiling like a Cheshire cat. There was also hot vivid steamy scenes my oh my it got me all hot under the collar. This is one of those novels you can just sit back on a beach or on your sofa and just get lost in it and the next second you know your at the end of the story you will get completely lost in thr storyline!

I give Misfortune of Song: Druid’s Brooch Series: #5 by Christy Nicholas, 5 stars.
It is the 12th century in what will be known as Ireland. Maelan is the warcheif for his clan. He is also in charge of his unruly granddaughter, Orlagh. He takes his position very seriously, but he also wants to be the best grandfather and protector he can be. Unfortunately, Orlagh is very strong minded and does not always do what Maelan thinks is right. When she decides to pursue what she believes is her one true love, he tries to put a stop to it. But she will not listen. Now he has to choose between his clan and his only living family. This will put him on an epic adventure where he will put his beliefs to the test, encounter the Fae, and test this old man’s love and endurance. Can he save Orlagh? Does she really need saving?
This was a perfect read for St Patrick’s Day. A historical fiction/fantasy set in older Ireland, this book interested me immediately. I have read previous books in this series and once again this story was exceptional. I am constantly amazed at how each book in this series can be so different from each other, but yet they all tie together flawlessly. The stories of both Maelan and Orlagh are so good. You can understand where each one comes from and why they make the decisions they do. The other characters are also done so well and I would love to see more of them in other books. The story itself has so much going on that there is not one boring moment. Not to mention a few surprises along the way.
If you are a fan of well written historical fiction, fantasy, and/or fiction set in Ireland, this book and series is for you.

This book has a unique twist on how it presents itself to its reader. This is the 7th book in the Druid’s series. This series is essentially the same story that is told from the points of view from multiple family members in different points in history. These books are not in chronological order, therefore they can be read standalone, however, as a reader, I feel that it is always best to read a book/series in the order the author wrote them in. This book, and really this whole series, is heavily laced in history and fokelore is beyond breathtaking and it adds a rich element to the story that builds creates deepth.
Conall and Lainn are the main characters of this story. They are brother and sister who are on the run from a terrible step-father. Conall has inherited the brooch. He is struggling to protect Lainn from their abuse step-father. This story is an emotional rollar coaster. I am an older sibling. i related to this story on a deeper lever for the need to protect a younder sibling. The paranormal, magic and intirgue in this story makes you want to keep turning the page over and over again.
Fantasy lovers will love this book and series. History lover will appreciate the details of this series and both will love how they combine into one beautiful series!

Little Do You Know (Bayou Devils MC Book 5) By A.M. Myers
I have loved reading this series thus far and this book is no exception. The story of Noah and Kady took me on an emotional rollercoaster that I couldn’t put down! Their story makes you believe that love can conquer all. There are heartbreaking hold your breath moments, and moments where my tears are running down my face. This book hooked me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down till I found out what happens!! I highly recommend this wonderfully written full of emotion book.

The Devil’s Backbone is just one of those books that you can’t stop reading. This is the fifth book in the Wild Beast series and I think it’s the best one so far. I really liked these characters. I found that I could sympathize with and understand Tess, and that helped me to fall into this book with reckless abandon. As with the previous books we see the world just a little bit differently because of these characters and I walked away from this book with a different perspective of the classic mythology that I love so much. Whether you root for the good guys or the bad (I’m still trying to figure out which is which) you will at the very least be entertained. I look forward to diving farther into this strange world with these magnetic characters.

Brody is the first book in the Default Distraction series by A.S. Roberts. If this first book is anything to go by, then this series is going to be right up there with my favourites. This is the first time I have read anything by this author and I’m so glad I took the chance with this book. Heroine of the book is Amy Harper. Abandoned by her mother at the age of 10, Amy has been brought up by her Nan Vera. Now 33 and running her Nan’s failing shop, Amy just doesn’t let guys in. She has a huge wall built around her heart as she thinks everyone will eventually leave her. Brody Daniels is the singer of top rock band Default Distraction. Like Amy, his mother walked out when he was a child. The HOT rock star, with a body like sin has women falling at his feet and he most certainly does not do the relationship thing. Woman are for one thing only. So why does everything he’s ever stood for totally change just by one glance of Amy? Circumstances bring Amy and Brody together many times and the chemistry is sparking. Amy has no idea who he is (she thinks his name is Daniel) and Brody is ecstatic that Amy likes him as him, and not as Brody Daniels, singer of DD). Amy with her issues, keeps trying to run but Brody just won’t take no for an answer. As Amy finally gives into her feelings she finds out that Brody is not the guy she thought he was. Will Amy be able to forgive Brody for not being honest with her? I absolutely adored this book. Brody and Amy are both so flawed but so prefect for each other. This story was beautiful and entertaining, backed up with fantastic support characters, who I’m sure will be the subject of the remaining books in this series. Books that I can’t wait to read.

Devil’s Backbone is the most recent installment in T. Birmingham’s hot new paranormal romance series, the Wild Beasts series. Devil’s Backbone is the fifth book in the series, and the by far the best one, in my opinion. I absolutely adored this book and how each one just keeps getting better than the one before it. With higher stakes, bigger plots, more supernatural creatures than you can poke a stick at, and Benjamin Oliver to drool over. I really loved this wild ride of story and could really relate to Tess’s character and her super cool pet lizard, Todd. I really loved her journey and growth throughout the book, as well as Ben’s. Their characters are very well written and were a delight to read about. I highly recommend this fantastical series by T. Birmingham, each book can be read as a standalone, as each follows a different set of characters, but it’s better if you start at the beginning. Overall I gave this book 4/5 stars.

Ok so first I’m wondering why I haven’t read anything by this author up to this point. This was an amazing book, one that totally messed with my mind.
I cant even go into any of the storyline because Im afraid I will say too much and that absolutely would not be fair to anyone thinking about reading this story., and you really must read this story.
My jaw is still on the floor, this author totally floored me and I LOVED it, that is one of my favorite things about reading is when I have no idea what’s going to happen and then I have to go back and reread while asking myself…Whoa…hold on…what did I just read.
I loved the friendship feel in this story as well as the family bonds and the whole meeting someone on FB and how true so much of that is.
I’m simply speechless and can not wait to go find more books by this author, I literally could not put this book down and if this is any indication of the writing style of this author…Count me in! I also want to mention how much I love the cover of this book..Just beautiful.

The story Misfortune of Song: Druid’s Brooch Series: #5 by Christy Nicholas is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that had my emotions going up and down the whole time. It pulls you in from the very beginning and doesn’t let go until you have finished the final page. The main characters are Maelan and his granddaughter Orlagh. Maelan is a man who does his duty and also has a code that he lives by. He loves and cares for his granddaughter, Orlagh. Orlagh is a young woman who finds herself in love with a bard. He makes her feel like no one else does and she is determined that they will be together. Orlagh shows herself to be stubborn and defiant in this matter. She rebels against her grandfather’s wishes. What does the future hold for Orlagh? How far is Maelan willing to go in order to save Orlagh? Read this book to find out. This story is wonderfully told and when reading I felt like I was right there with the characters. This story includes magic and the Fae. There are times when I wondered what was going to happen next. Reading this book transports you to a different time and setting. This is the fifth book in a series and can be read as a standalone. I would recommend reading it.
