Peaceful Slumber (Soul Connection, #1)Peaceful Slumber by Nikki Lynn Barrett

This author knows how to bring just the right amount of supernatural into a romance with real life issue. She hasn’t disappointed. You immediately fall into the lives of Scott and Zelda and you can’t put the book down until it’s done. Plenty of twist and surprises.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a good 4 star read. This is the third book in the Grimm Wolves MC series. We started with the MC clubhouse being decorated for Chrimstmas by the old ladies. I had a few LOL moments with the thoughts of some of the guys. Beast’s family are getting sick from living conditions and he is struggling with telling his MC brothers the truth about the danger they are in. As we move forward, things take a more serious and dangerous turn.

What will happen when the secret comes out? Will the MC be able to help?

Overall this was a read that had suspense, danger, drama and so much more. We get multiple POV’s that add a great element to the story. All of the characters were great, I’m loving the kids too, one stole my heart. The author does a great job with her writing, she pulls you right in. What a great read! I like the books in this series the more I read of them. The only issue for me was that it was way too short. This book had me on the edge of my seat, I didn’t want to put it down. As the other books in the series, it can be read as a stand alone, but I really recommend reading the previous books first.

This book 2 to the series was short but really packed a. This continues the story of Bullet, one of the newest prospects of the Grimm Wolves MC and the aftermath when everything changes….. he eventually meets his match a young lady named Clementine “Clemmy”. I loved Clemmy’s strong and spicy character, trying to work hard and she is perfect to give Bullet a run for his money.

This story has some emotional moments that are dark but also spicy sizzling moments as well. Looking forward to book 3!

This is a really cool children’s book just right for those little girls and boys who are interested in discovery and science. My granddaughter is one of those. She loves experimenting and trying to figure stuff out. She would love this book and would want to replicate each of the experiments. So if your children or grandchildren are interested in experimenting and discovering new things I recommend this book for them.

Iron and Chains are about to brawl to the death for their secrets until they are forced to share with one another. The secrets are deep, and dark and cast a shadow over these two. The brothers finally man up and realize it’s not only about them but their loved ones too. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and they all finally get the help they need to move forward. It’s a heartbreaking then heart-uplifting story of the ugliness in the world and the strength of the human spirit. This story also has a share of comic relief as we get to know some of the other brothers in the Grimm Wolves. I picked up book four first and look forward to going back and reading the other three.

Shamrock and Clover: Fields Apart by C. A. King – Review by Mandy Ott

Shamrock & Clover: Fields ApartShamrock & Clover: Fields Apart by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After this third book I’ve read by C. A. King, I am hooked! What a great author! All of the books I’ve read so far, including Shamrock and Clover have been so well written, but very quick reads. The world building and character building in such short reads is top notch. Shamrock and Clover was romantic, witty and humorous, with a little undertone of sadness for lost loved ones. The two main characters, Patrick (nicknamed Shamrock) and Clover, are two very different individuals looking for love in their own ways. The saying “opposites attract” definitely applies here. All of the characters are realistic and relatable, even Clover’s ex who was very manipulative. There are very sweet moments in this book and I cannot wait to read more from C. A. King!

Spring’s Showers (Romantically Seasonal Series) by C.A. King – Review by Beverly Finnie

Spring's Showers: Romantically Seasonal: SpringSpring’s Showers: Romantically Seasonal: Spring by C.A. King
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I’m up in the air. Spring’s Showers has me tangled up in knots. I enjoyed the slight humor the author placed here and there. I don’t think the story itself did it for me. It’s up for debate though.
Eros is the laughing stock of the gods. No one has respect for him. A bet is made with 4 of his poker cohorts and this story in particular revolves around Mother Nature. They believe Eros has the easier job, so he bets them if they can each help a couple find true love, then he will take over their job duties for a year. Gods are immortal, so a year’s nothing, right?!? lol
Mother Nature thinks she can just make it happen. Doesn’t matter if there’s a connection. Which is well here she’s wrong. Does she succeed? Or Does Eros come on top? Mind you he’s got 3 more to contend with. Would be a lot of work doing 5 different jobs, at the same time, in one year.
I do enjoy this author, so maybe this was a one off. I’m going to assume this will be a series since there’s 3 more bets to be won. I’m still going to give it a chance. You should too! Just because I’m tangled in knots about how I feel. You may love it!!

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction Book 4) by Nicole Flockton – Review by Christie Mitchum

Reunion in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #4)Reunion in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What a delightful and emotional read!

Reunion in the Outback is book 4 in the Welcome to Bunya Junction series. I have not read the others in the series, but despite that, I had no problem following the story. I feel like it can easily be read as a standalone.

I love a really good second chance romance, and this one did not disappoint. It actually stood apart from so many others in the genre. The writer gave me something different. This is about a couple, Yolanda and Michael, who have been together for many years and were happily married until a scary medical emergency threw their marriage into turmoil. Neither she nor Michael are sure they can ever find their way back to one another.

Michael and Yolanda were wonderful characters. They were both complex and complicated. Flockton did a great job of continually adding layers to them in each chapter with both Yolanda and Michael each telling me their story. Both of them are also keeping very important secrets from each other, but that was a symptom of their marriage at that point. I so wanted them to find their way back to each other. They loved each other so much, but doubts kept creeping back in, so they would take two steps backward for each step forward. However, I was very pleased with the ending.

Flockton is a new writer for me, and I can’t wait to read more from her, especially the earlier books in the series. It was a gorgeous story about love, loss, separation, reunion, and the importance of family.

This one has to be five stars as its definitely my fav of the series so far. Action packed and emotion charged this is a fantastic read. I once again suggest reading the whole series even though should you choose to just read this book it will work for you. The Grimm Wolves are big bad bikers for sure and when pushed they will fight back hard but it has to be said that these guys have the biggest hearts! This book reminds you that sometimes times the strongest families are made and not born by blood.

Nite Fire: Slash & Burn (Book 4) by C.L. Schneider – Review by Taylor K Stephenson

Slash & Burn (Nite Fire, #4)Slash & Burn by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

~Dragons, Darkness, Mystery, and Romance~

What a fun ride getting into the next novel in this series. This may be my favorite one yet! Dahlia is continuing to develop not just her own innate talents, but the forces that be around her. Her world is changing, the humans world is changing, as well as other worlds all around her.

Dahlia is such a strong heroine, it’s really exciting to watch her band together with some likely, and some unlikely ties, to do the right thing. She answers to no one, and to everyone. I just love seeing how consistent her core characteristics are, but how capable she is and just how vulnerable she can be when it comes to saving the ones that she loves.

Pick up the fourth book in the Nite Fire series, you won’t regret it.

Wow another wonderful and emotional read from this fab author. Even though it is the second book in this series it could be read as a standalone. If I was you though I would read the first book as well just because its a fab series. This book brings us Bullet ( I would say an unsure and tormented soul), Clementine ( an independent and loves to speak her mind girl), an amazing connection between the characters, loads of action and Romance. I would have loved more but at the same time am excited for the next book!

This is a romance box set that I enjoyed reading. One of the things about boxsets that I enjoy the most is how I can read one book after the other without waiting for it to come out. This is not my first story by this author but it is some of my favorites. This set will take you from the beginning of a relationship to the wedding in this relationship. Melodie and Issac are great characters and have great chemistry. I enjoyed watching their growth in each story as well as throughout the boxset. They are connectable and supportive of every character. This is a well written story that is hard to put down. Each story is unique and takes you on a different part of this relationship. They brought out some emotions in me as well. They will make you laugh and also have some heartfelt times. I really enjoyed reading each book. I highly recommend this box set. It is worth the pick up and you don’t want to miss what happens to this couple.

The fourth book in the Bunya Junction series follows the story of the fourth sibling and baby of the bunch. She experiences joy, love, heartache and fear as her life turns in an unexpected direction. As in previous books, the author delves into secondary characters in just enough depth to tie things together. This book had more conflict than the others but was also relatable in that conflict is real and normal.

I was ready to read this book, so no surprise I was jumping at the bit to read it. It took a minute but I did it. This next installation was about Luc and Summer. Luc worked hard for everything he had and was about to receive the biggest surprise of all. While Summer was dealing with the death of her best friend and trying to keep herself alive. This story captured my attention and I loved the chemistry between Luc and Summer. The story kept me on the edge of my seat needing to find out how things played out.

Until There Was You by G. Colgrove – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Until there was youUntil there was you by G. Colgrove
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance, which had me hooked from start to finish. Regan Doyle does not believe in fairytales, specifically, that Prince Charming will come and sweep her off her feet, that love at first sight exists, or that couples can live happily ever after. Regan’s only goal is to leave South Boston, and as fairytales do not exist, she will have to do this herself. As soon as she graduates high school she is determined to leave and nothing will get in her way, but then she meets, Jeremy Stone. Jeremy is just as determined on achieving his own goal, of proving to his father that he’s ready to take over the family business. He definitely does not need any distractions, and then he meets Regan. Suddenly both their goals change, but can they find their happily ever after together, despite the many obstacles in their way. I loved Regan and Jeremy and was really immersed in their story, hoping they would get their HEA. The storyline flowed well and the plot had me happily turning the pages wanting to know the outcome for the couple.

This author knows how to write a good book. This is the fifth book in this series and before I came across this author, I had never before picked up a mafia themed book. From the very first page to the last, my attention did not deviate. The characters are unbelievably developed and this novel is no exception.

I did not immediately fall in love with Luc, but Summer had my heart from the beginning. There are plenty of other characters to take after if you do not like either of the two. I know some people had difficulty taking off with this novel in the series, but I had absolutely no issue. The adventure takes off immediately and the twists and turns seem never ending. I highly recommend this novel to any fiction lover looking for some romance and adventure in their lives!

The thing that I liked most about this book is that we learned not only about Iron’s past but Chain’s as well. It seems all members of this MC have sordid pasts and we are slowing learning about each. The story mainly centres around Iron and Joy and their trials and tribulations pertaining to their relationship. The trauma that Joy experienced is horrible but you realize how strong she is. She has a lot of work to do still but I see her eventually being alright. Having Chains in on their secret I think is helping him come to terms with his own demons. This was an amazing book. Hoping that the next will pertain more to Chains. I highly recommend this book.

I really enjoy getting to read from Jason and Lily’s point of views. It makes the story so immersive and it really kept me from putting the book down. Jason’s character was drool-worthy and Lily is just so sweet and compassionate. This story was so twisted, disturbing, and beautiful. I really enjoyed it and I’m EAGER for the next in the series!!

This was a story that had a lot of heart, was sweet to read, and had those moments that really helped you to connect to the characters and truly bond with them! I fell in love with this author and their writing and how the story developed and came together! Was a wonderful read!

I loved this box set especially, as it was a fun and amazing read, nothing was predictable and I found that really things came together by fate and very much unexpectedly! How Melodie and her match, Isaac find their way into one another’s arms was cute, sweet, and not the way I expected it to go! I fell in love with the two of them. Then you read about their wedding, and the writing flowed just as nice as the first novel. Sweetness was present, and a bunch of smiles loomed over my face as I read. Loved the parents in that one, they certainly added nicely to the story. I enjoyed this story and box set very much, I could not put this one down, it was enlightening and charming all together! A must read for sure!

Wonderful and loveable story. It was uplifting as it was sweet. I highly recommend this author for sure, I have been reading their books for some tome. This boxset is a must read, and I highly recommend it!
