Ocean’s Three by Elena Kincaid

I really thought this story would be identical to the first book and it surprised me by not being. Same type of concept but a different storyline. This one showed so much more love and family. It was quick but easy to follow and enjoy. Elena didn’t disappoint all the dreamers and lonely women out there. Another great book for her collection.

Seeing as how this is the very institution that helped Elinor hone her skills, she feels obligated to investigate. As she digs deeper into the mystery, she discovers that her annoying apprentice, Twyla, is skilled in getting into The Beyond. With the stakes high, the duke adds a kiss to the mix to have Elinor questioning his high handedness with how she is working the case. Will she finally get answers from him about how he feels towards her? Will she be able to find the missing daughter before it is too late?
I thoroughly enjoy this series. Elinor is such a fun character! She has so many questions and you think she’s going to get the answers but for every one answered, it seems like 4 more pop up. I felt bad for her for not getting all of the answers she was looking for but also encouraged because she deserves some happiness. While she isn’t thrilled with having an apprentice, I can see how she is going to mold her into someone that will be an asset to her growing team of mystery solvers. Can’t wait for the next book!!
Cry Baby by Belinda Williams

This is a cute romance that hits many different tropes. Boss to lover, Sunny vs. Grumpy, and a little just spit it out. I thought Belinda Williams did a great job of weaving these together. I had not read the previous Pierce Brothers, but works as a stand alone. There was not a lot of spice, but the spicy parts were well written and fit with the story, not just popping up out of nowhere, and I like in a book.
When Noah’s best friend suddenly passes away and leave him with her daughter Amelia, he needs help. Enter, Amy! Amy is a glass half full kinda gal and Noah has always seen the dark side since his mother passed away. Amy works hard to show Noah there is more to life than the secluded one he has built for himself. When working through his issues, she finds she may have been burrying some of her own.
Jasmine Bucker does something she should not. But she does have a plan and nobody is going to stand in her way. Her father is sick and she promised she would help him financially. But as luck would have it. Something very wrong had taken a turn for the worst. The phony cops have taken her money and she will do what it takes to get it back. That’s all I will tell you about the story, no spoilers for you. This author not only writes well, her stories are well worth reading. Her sense of humor plays a big part in this fast paced crime thriller. I love the interactions of the characters. At times I found myself laughing at the events of this story. This is a must read series! I can not wait for the next book.

A Stranger in Disguise (A Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome) by P.J. Mann. I love this author and I have loved this series. This is the 4th book in the Commissario Scala Mystery in Rome series. They can be read as standalone but they are much better read in order. This book is set in Rome, Italy and is about Detective Maurizio Scala and his case of the murder of a costume designer of a foreign acting troupe. The play they are performing is Macbeth and they are hoping it will help this failing theatre. What seems like a normal case ends up opening all kinds of problems. The victim of the murder ended up not being who they thought he was and was an actual criminal himself. As they case turns up all kinds of lies and more mysteries Scala wonders if he’s in over his head. Will he be able to solve the crimes before more murders occur? Read this fast paced mystery to find out!

This is the second book in this series which is just as enjoyable as the first. I highly suggest reading the previous book as well to help your enhancement of this author’s characters and writing style. I enjoyed reading this romance story from beginning to end. It is a story where a tragedy causes guilt but also to push two people away until a cruise ship brings them back together. What happens from here, you don’t want to miss. They are such great, steamy characters who add so much to the story. They had me coming back for more, for sure. They have great chemistry and growth throughout. They bring an emotional rollercoaster like no other. I found this book to be fast paced, engaging and just plain hard to put down. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Shadow Wolf by Lilliana Rose

I really enjoyed this book. The drama revolving around this single opal sets off a chain of crazy and dangerous happenings to Tamaska. At first Tamaska bothered me, her personality irritated me, she seemed to think she knew what was best in every instance but she doesn’t. I can understand her wanting to do her very best at her job, but Kodiak and his team also have a job to do, and acting like she knew how to do his job better than him irked me. She has a wonderful friend in Tahla because, even Tahla knew the dangers of going to the Blood Moon Nightclub and begged Tamaska not to go and of course, danger. I like Kodaik’s character, he is strong, knows what he wants and doesn’t take anything from anyone. He goes out of his way to protect Tamaska knowing his alpha is against it, he puts his life, and his team on the line for her time after time and she is stuck in her own head, she has bad tunnel vision about this stupid stone. I can’t wait to see what comes next for these two. Kodiak’s alpha Olcan seems really suspect and so does Tamaska’s assistant Cory. This was a very well developed story and I was immediately captivated.

This is the second book in the Bennetts of Langston Falls Series. Even though it is part of a series it can still be read as a standalone and be enjoyed just as much.
Well where to start. I have loved this author’s writing and story building for a long time. Every book makes you feel like you are actually a bystander watching these characters in real life. The characters in this story are well written and I love how opposite each other they are. On paper you think this will never work but K G Fletcher makes the magic happen and wow.
This is a really sweet romance between a small town country boy and a high flying city girl. Even though they are worlds apart their connection is instant and their attraction to each other is something neither of them can deny. But what happens what something that should have been a one time things leaves them wanting more? Do opposites attract enough to make their differences non existent?
Walt is the grumpy brother, always guarded and protective of all his family and for years he has shielded himself off from the prospect of love. If he takes the chance now with Elyse will it be something he will end up regretting or will it be the start of something amazing?
Ruthless Hawke by Gwyn McNamee

This book is amazing. I am new to this author and I am a fan now. I loved how the characters were relatable. I found myself not wanting to put it down. It was a great start to the series. I highly recommend this book.
Cry Baby: A Grump Sunshine Slow Burn Romantic Comedy by Belinda Williams

After having read other books in the Pierce Brothers series I was pretty excited to read this one. For me Cry Baby fell a bit short. It didn’t quite have the hook I was looking for and it moved slow. Belinda Williams is a great author! I’m sure I will find another book by her that brings me back in!

Once they arrive Elyse is greeted by Walt and sparks fly between them and when he agrees to chaperone Becky Elyse thinks two birds one stone.
As things go on Becky realises this is not really what she wants after a uncomfortable experience and Walt drives them home, but not after spending the night with Elyse. Once home he can’t stop thinking about her until she shows up. Can he get her to stay and love him the way he loves her?
This the second book in this series and you can read this as a stand alone book, there are references to the other book in this series so you are not completely out the lives of the Bennetts. I am so glad Walt became the next boo in the series, he was my favourite in the last book all grumpy and brewed, but with this book you see the playful more vulnerable side to him.
Elyse is the perfect partner for him and brings more out within the character and also with the chemistry between these two just burns off the page. I also loved the secondary characters within the story and how they add to the charm of the story. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and which of the Bennetts will it be.

Ocean’s Three is the second instalment in the Made In Heaven series by Elena Kincaid. This was a great follow up to Three Made In Heaven, and can be read as a standalone if you wish- but if you love paranormal romance, menage (MFM), steamy developments, and a little mysteriousness- then you won’t want to miss any of the instalments in this series.
Cameron has had visions and been dreaming of Jocelyn for as long as he can remember. Then his cousin Reed appears in his dreams too- which brings a whole new perspective on things and an understanding that then sets them all on a course that fate itself had ordained. The story follows Cameron and Jocelyn through their first ‘encounter’, through childhood, where Reed then enters the scene, connecting the three of them in an inexplicable way. Through adolescence, loss, and all the ups and downs along the way, the author weaves a story that pulls you in and keeps you invested through every step of the way. There are flashbacks too which also help to fill in some of the backstory and provides an extra element of mysteriousness to the overall storyline. Add in love, loss, emotion, friendship, time, a Mediterranean cruise, sizzling chemistry, MFM fun, connection, and some drama- and the story really ignited.

The author has knocked it out of the park again with book 2 of this series. Jocelyn, Cameron and Reed know each other in dreams, but are they real? I am fascinated by this story. I love the paranormal aspect. It’s such an interesting romance. The storyline is intriguing, to say the least. The characters are well-written. It all comes together so well and is a definite winner. I can’t wait for more from this author.

His Protector is a wonderfully written Romance Suspense that will have you turning the pages till the end. This is a new to me author and I’m definitely going to check out what other books she has written. This is a fast paced action-packed story with characters that are relatable and fully developed yet raw at times and they make the story come to life. I truly enjoyed reading this book and read it in one sitting. This is a story about a man who is grieving the loss of his wife and unborn child who is being protected by someone he finds himself drawn to. Can the agent keep him safe? Will these two act on their feelings? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I don’t want to accidentally give something away. This is definitely worth the read. Not even knowing her name, Reed enlists the beautiful woman sitting next to him to assist him in providing first aid to those in need.
Christy, the beautiful woman, is happy to help. Christy finds herself attracted to this “real life hero”. Reed decides to help Christy become more secure in her environment by teaching her to shoot. When Reed gets sent on a mission and can’t reach out to let Christy know he had to go, Christy doesn’t understand. The minute Reed comes back, his thoughts are about her and he speeds to her place. Reed explains that he doesn’t always get to say goodbye when they get called for a mission. But that is the life of a Navy SEAL partner, if she wants to undertake it.
Christy is a little too naive for me. I get that she was out of it after the premier and probably wasn’t paying attention to where she stopped for gas. But that kind of thing seemed to keep happening. I was happy when she got the puppy. That was a step towards her independence. I am also glad they were taking the relationship slow. Still a solid entry in the series. Looking forward to the next ones!

This was a really good book. I enjoy love stories especially when it is about opposites being attracted to each other and finding happiness even though they are so different. Byron and Malakai had a difficult journey to their happy ending and I fully enjoyed the experience. I am enjoying this series and I look forward to reading the next one.

Noah was a numbers man and by the book. Watching him with sunny and cheerful Amy was quite the transformation. Each grumpy sunshine has its own unique dynamic and theirs was one that was unforgettable.

Cry Baby by Belinda Williams continues the story of the lovable Pierce brothers. Although it’s the 4th book in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone and thoroughly enjoyed.
This book touches on some difficult topics but does it in a relatable and heartfelt way. I loved the fact that the characters seemed real, flawed, and nuanced but still kept the fun of a romance. I can’t wait to pick up other novels by this author.

This author has quite the play on words. This was a Sexy and romantic story. There was such a deep connection that could be felt with our characters as they found their way back to one another. Brandon and Calliope had a hard road. Every ounce of the story was heartfelt and definitely a must read.

Oh forbidden love tell me thy ways. I enjoyed the paranormal aspects but for me the whole forbidden love thing was quite trite. It seems as if it’s the same story just in another paranormal setting. I would have loved more details that made this story unique and persuasive. Our heroine needed a more detailed backstory and more tenacity when choosing between things.

This was a great 5 star read. I was pulled in right from the beginning. This was a fun opposites attract read, city girl and country boy. Their lives couldn’t be more different but boy when the sparks flew it was game on. I really liked all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. My emotions were all over the place. Can these two make it work? I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happened. I was very happy with the ending. The author does a great job of pulling you into her story and you are done before you know it. This can be read as a stand alone but I suggest reading from the beginning. I look forward to reading more from this author and series. 1-click and get started today.

Sexy, Spicy, and Sweet. This is the second in this series and really brings out the best of the family. Being witness (even in reading a book) to a couple finding true lasting love and a little bit of sexy sass to go with it is an incredible experience. I thoroughly enjoyed this and while I didn’t read book one I am going back a reading book one and book two again in succession. If your looking for a sweet and steamy romance this one is for you.

I’ve been anxiously waiting to get my hands on this book after reading the first book in this series! This book, while the second in a series, can be easily read as a stand alone.
Brandon Rossi is the front man for a rock band, Canis Major and his best friends are his band mates. He’s restless as the band has just come off a huge international tour and his artwork is slowing down a bit. He’s ready to get out and find what it is that he’s missing. Rae, one of his dearest friends, encourages him to travel and continue doing some artwork while he’s seeing sights. Brandon decides to go to Morocco to visit his friend Chris, and while there, he meets up with an art gallerist.
Calliope Chen-Bisset is that art gallerist and once she lays eyes on Brandon, a lot of great childhood memories come flooding back to both her and Brandon. Callie is the sister of one of Brandon’s bandmates and while they never hooked up while growing up, there has always been some sort of attraction there. Brandon helped Callie get through some difficult points in her life but not the most difficult ones.
Sparks start to fly between Callie and Brandon as soon as they lay eyes on each other but it’s been 15 years since they last saw each other. Callie’s family hasn’t mentioned her in years and, truth be told, there has been a bit of a rift between them too. I loved this book and already can’t wait for the next one! There are some difficult topics covered and the author does issue a warning at the beginning of this book. I was not personally triggered by any of the scenes as they were handled quite delicately with enough information to let the reader know what happened without being overly graphic. This is a second chance romance of sort, but more importantly, a phoenix rising from the ashes story.

Emissary is a standalone novel, or it could be used as a prequel to the Star Crossed Celestials series. Emissary follows Kai, an emissary of death. An error on his part caused his love to perish which pushes Kai to want to redeem himself by taking on a task. The target he was tasked to find is Byron Black who has fought for his life for as long as he can remember. Kai unexpectedly falls in love with Byron and together they search for who is trying to end Byron’s life. Is Kai able to push his task aside in order to save the one he loves? Find out in Emissary.
Emissary is full of twists, turns, and loveable characters with relatable feelings. I could not put this book down. It grabbed me from the beginning. The scenery depicted makes you feel like you are living the story with Kai and Byron.
Full of action, mystery, and romance, Emissary is a must read. It is a great prequel to the Star Crossed Celestials series, or even as its own novel. I cannot wait to read more from this author.
