I was not sure about this book when I started it. This book is told from 4 different points of view, which sometimes throws me off a bit. However, this was a world building experience that I’ve never experienced before. This take on the world of fantasy was pretty interesting, giving it a human point of view. It keeps the mystery alive of what could happen next. This book is the perfect lead up to the second story and has certainly peaked my interest in the series! I need to know what happens next and how Stevie handles the men that have just showed up into her life. I would recommend this to anyone who is new to reading fantasy and is looking for a good story.

Burn out in need of a vacation turns into a messy mystery. Truly one of my all-time favorite authors I take every chance I am given to read one of Naomi Valkyrie’s books and they never disappoint. Book one of the Life is Hell series gives us a bang of an introduction to this tiny world with big secrets hiding in the shadows. Dual perspectives of Delilah and Malakhi this book takes you on a mystery from two different sides. Delilah is essentially a vengeance demon that gets revenge on cheating partners. Two hundred years ago that’s what she sold her soul to do for herself when her boyfriend cheated on her. Life in the big city has become too much and she is in dire need of a vacation and after three days of driving she finds a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, Juniper Lake. Sheriff Malakhi has been in Juniper Lake for five years, and after pretending to be human for so long he has forgotten how to research the paranormal way. Summoning circles, a murdered demon hunter and the intriguing Delilah have his head spinning on how they are all connected. Mortified with herself that she fell for a trap Delilah has no choice but to follow the orders the trio of witches give her, no matter how much she doesn’t want to. No rest for the wicked irks her as during the day she tries to find ways to free herself of their binding and reclaim her freedom from them. Thanks to an old journal she discovers that the unassuming little town has a history with demons but how and why. Can Delilah free herself before Malakhi figures out who she is? Will she give into her attraction to Malakhi? What life could she have in Juniper Lake if she gave in to the urge to move there? The author never skimps on the details and this book is no different. Instantly sucked into the world as you devour the pages in search of answers with Delilah and Malakhi. Both intriguing characters as they have lived far longer than they look and after such mundane lives they have a spark of interest and curiosity in each other that despite trying to fight it sometimes they can’t help but be drawn to each other. I am trapped in this world but it’s in a good way. Can’t wait to jump into book two in the Life is Hell series, Hell Hath No Fury, and learn more about Sheridan. Delilah’s friend that looks after the bar during her vacation. I’ll see you there.

Good Story! I liked Jinx. She went after what she wanted and has a cool job. She really made this whole story happen. I thought it was a little slow at first but then picked up. I liked the interaction between these two. It seems like it would be a good series. Although I am not so sure about Victors fiancee but we will see.

Wow. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect this story was going to be like, but it turned out to be one of the best romance stories I’ve read. The emotional turmoil the characters faced was spot on. You could feel the hurt from the past. You could also feel the joy. There were lots of life lessons imbedded as well. This is a great read for romance lovers but also for anyone grieving over a loss in any form. For those who have hit rock bottom and climbed back up. For those who have fought their demons and won. For those who struggle to find their worth. For those who simply want to be seen. There is something in here for everyone. Including forgiveness and Gods love.

Rose is a photojournalist and has been injured at a rally that may have possibly ended her photojournalism career. While helping her mother once she is sent home she comes across some old books and photo of her father that might suggest things aren’t exactly as her and Kirk had thought. She has been asked by her mother and Aunt Tess to leave it alone, but will her photojournalism get the best of her.

This is the first book in Valkyrie’s Life is Hell series and it is superb! I was hooked from the first page and I literally could not put it down. I finished this book in a day…maybe a day and a half because ya know…responsibilities and all. I fell in love with all of the characters in this book and just how they interacted with each other and evolved was *chef’s kiss*. The plot of No Rest for the Wicked is original and very well-done and so seamless. This is a very fast-paced book that you are going to have a very hard time putting down once you pick it up so go ahead and cancel your plans for the day or night…whatever. This is another fantastic addition to the Cray’s Adventure series. In this book, Fay the Turtle has to make her way to warmer waters for the winter and along the way spreads kindness by helping out her fellow creatures. I love the sing-songy nature that Rhymes writes in. It gives the story such a nice flow and rhythm to read out loud in that children love. The lessons that kids will get from this book (and all of the others) are lifelong. The illustrations are fabulous, brilliant, and so vibrant that they will capture the attention of children and adults alike. I’m also a huge fan of the discussion points at the end of the books. This is a great opportunity for teachers and parents to look for comprehension and understanding from their littles. I love this series and can’t wait for the next one!

This is the 9th book in the North Forks series. Even though it is part of a series this can be read as a standalone. This is a steamy read. it is an enemies to lovers, best friends sister, forbidden romance. There is steak, angst, passion, unresolved issues and chemistry between our main characters that just sizzle off the page. This is Logan and Jinx’s story. Logan is a successful businessman. He grew up in North Forks with his best mate Victor and even though there way something between him and Victors sister Jinx Logan never crossed the link. His best friends sister is off limits. Fast forward and after Victor and Logan’s friendships falls apart and Logan crosses paths with Jinx again, does he take this chance to get the woman he’s always wanted now her brother is gone and she is no longer off limits?
Jinx has always wanted Logan even when he was best friends with her brother. She was frustrated that he showed no interest in her. Now things have changed and with him now having no loyalty to her brother will this be the chance she has always wanted? Will they get their chance at a HEA? Or will them being together cause old arguments to resurface and put pressure on them? What will Victor’s reaction be to finding out his once best friend and his little sister are getting closer? Even though Logan and Victor are no longer friends should Jinx have been left in the untouchable category?
This was an enjoyable read and was captivating that I read it in one sitting. This author does a great job of bringing the characters to life and making the reader feel like they are right there watching things unfold.

I absolutely love the Shattered Embrace Series and this second book, Managing Mischief. This book is a continuation of Ashton and Zach’s story and their Dom/sub relationship. The author does a great job connecting the reader to the characters as you join them on their journey as they navigate life. As with any relationship, there are ups and downs and good and bad but the author does an amazing job bringing everything together. I can’t wait to read the next installment.

Before You Say I Do is a wonderfully written Contemporary Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I’ve read several books by this author and this may be my favorite yet. Her characters are real, fully developed and relatable. They make the story fly off the pages and you find yourself not only invested in the characters but the story to. Her style of writing and attention to detail makes for an amazing story. This is Emma and Liam’s story. She’s only interested in one night stands, she doesn’t allow them to stay over. This all changes with him. Their one night turned into more and more . But what will happen when skeletons come out? Can these two have a relationship they both deserve ? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. Im already looking forward to reading more from this Author.

4.5 stars I have read a lot of Laurie’s books and really enjoy them. She doesn’t just write one genre which I really like because you never know what you are going to get. The Better Man is the second wonderful book in the Silver Buckle Brides series. Cross-Country Christmas drew me in and so did this one. It is a heart-warming romance that is full of lots of different emotions. Two souls who have had tragic pasts that have shaped them to who they are now. This story has a little bit of everything with Cowboys, an ex who will do anything to get what he wants and a ranch. There is also tragedy and pain, angst and hurt, hope and forgiveness, family and friendship, treachery and love, healing and spirituality. Jamie is trying hard to leave his past behind, but old doubts rise when an ex turns up. Laramee has her issues but returns home to save what is hers but when her ex turns up, he threatens it all. She literally crashed into his life, now it is not just a truce they have found they have found so much more.

This is a first for me for this author. I read this book and absolutely fell in love. Meg’s and Ryan’s story was sweet and touching. The slow build up between these two was adorable. When they were young, Ryan found Meg his next door neighbor pretty annoying. They butted heads often, but found amusement from it. Years later Hank asks Meg to clean out his shed, and she can sell whatever she finds in her antique shop on consignment. Ryan who still lives there, is finding this quite annoying and bothersome. But as time goes on, he finds that he’s actually enjoying the time that she’s there. However, Meg finds a piece that shocks both of them. Do they continue with their budding romance, or do they leave and forget each other? I absolutely loved reading this book and Henry’s character made me laugh a few times. The writing and story were extremely well written and I enjoyed every single word. I hope to read more by this writer soon!
This was an incredible book, at first, I wasn’t sure but then this book really got a hold of me, and I couldn’t put it done once I stated. It is mostly a paranormal story with an interesting twist with some steampunk, urban fantasy, Fae, history, mystery, suspense, adventure, and so much more that this book will have you gripped from the beginning. Stevie is one amazing role and she ahs the character with some grit and spit if you cross her the wrong way, and it really made me enjoy reading this book even more. She was very relatable, she lived with the people and society and her story was weaved into the story that it really made me feel like I know them and lived with them. This book was very enjoyable, and I can’t wait to dive into the next one.

This was a good 5 star read. I was pulled right in and done before I knew it. I really liked the characters. Jinx had fallen for her brother’s best friend until he up and left. When she sees him years later the old feelings come rushing back. Will they be able to rekindle their friendship and maybe more? Will the truth allow them to finally be together? Overall I really enjoyed this read. We get so much and some pretty good steamy moments as well. Family Ties Family Lies is a definite roller coaster of emotions, family drama, secrets with love and suspense. This story will stay with me for quite some time….there is a lot of feelings and emotions poured into this story….and it was such a great read.
What can happen when buried secrets are discovered…should they stay buried or learn the truth behind it all. This happens to Rose Webster….going home to help her mother as she battles an illness.. trying to pick up the pieces as they both re-discover old photos in the attic..reminiscing. When a mysterious photo is discovered by Rose, she asks her mom about it only to be brushed off. Rose, being the photojournalist that she is, cannot let this mysterious photo go and wants to discover what this is all about. As Rose navigates this she has to be sure does she really want to discover the whole truth behind it all….or leave it alone like her mother wishes.
I highly recommend this book…the secrets and turmoil…this book was hard to put down.

This book captivated me from the very first chapter which tells me to hunker down because I’m going to devour the entire thing in one sitting. It typically takes me awhile to find my groove but not this time. This is the first book in the Stevie Capot Chronicles, and the author has started out like a strike of lightning! I love that this story is told from multiple points of view as it makes me feel like I’m getting each character’s unique perspective. This is categorized as a Steampunk/Sci-Fi/Fantasy, and I must say that it somehow fits that to a T. The characters are incredibly well developed, and you can feel how much work has gone into building this amazing world. The flow of the story is one of my favorites though because some books tend to feel like chunks of a story instead of a continuous tale when multiple POV is involved. This author knew exactly how to make it flow from one person to another with such ease. I highly recommend picking this up if you are looking for an adventurous paranormal read for your weekend!

This book was definitely interesting; but it wasn’t really my favorite type of fantasy. The FMC is a quick-witted total bad***, who doesn’t take crap from anyone. The MMCs in the book were funny and fun to read about, with a plot full of fae, shifters, and just all around magical things. If you like quirky fantasies that are a little more lighthearted, then this would be the one for you!

This is a very emotional, heart strings pulling, kind of read. Laramee was running from her past, from all those who loved her, all because communication was broken between them. Jamie was also running, but in a different direction. When their paths crossed during a business deal, Laramee and Jamie have to make some very difficult decisions regarding their future paths.
I love this book and am so glad that I picked it up! It was difficult to read in parts but overall, the story put a smile on my face and lifted my spirits. I was not aware that this was part of a series and never felt like I was missing any ties to possible previous characters or situations. I do want to go back and read the first book in this series though! I highly recommend this read!

I haven’t had a book affect me this deeply in an exceptionally long time! I hadn’t read anything by this author before, but the cover drew me in immediately. I knew I was going to read this book before I read the synopsis, and once I did, I dove right in. It was impossible to pull away from once I started, so I stayed up all night needing to know what was coming. The emotions hit you deeply and at times I shed quite a few tears. It doesn’t feel like I’m reading about Rose and her family, it feels like I’m experiencing it firsthand which is an incredible feat! The mystery that was woven into the story was always in the back of my mind even though I couldn’t figure out what was happening. It was well worth it and one of my top reads of the year so far. It doesn’t matter your go-to genre, I think everyone should give this one a chance. You won’t regret the journey it takes you on!

This is an author that I never hesitate to pick up. I have enjoyed reading her books from the first one I picked up by her. I enjoy her writing style as well as her attention to details that make her character come to life. They are written with a lot of heart which makes them great characters. This is a well written story about second chances. Laramee fled her home years ago but now that her parents could lose that home, she is going home. What happens from here you don’t want to miss for sure. The past comes to the present for these characters. Two men want Laramee but which one is the better man? I enjoyed watching the growth of these characters and the chemistry is strong. I enjoyed what they brought to the story which made the story easy to read. This is a fast paced, hard to put down story that is a must read. I highly recommend this book.

The Closer: An Enemies to Lovers Dark Romance is the third and final book in The Hustlers Trilogy by Rowan Rossler. Urgh! This was such a bittersweet read for me- on one hand, I was excited to get the next instalment of the series and find out more about June, and Dallas….. but on the other hand, I didn’t/don’t want to say goodbye to this superb series, or characters. Seriously though, this series just seems to have gotten better with each new instalment, and that is testament to Ms. Rossler’s storytelling and writing talents. I really did love everything about the books/series- and I’m sad that this is the last – but excited to see what Ms. Rossler might have up her sleeve on offer next! This is a fantastic enemies to lovers contemporary romance with drama, suspense, chemistry, sizzle, tension, angst, past pain, dynamic characters, and much more. Again, as with the previous books, the characters were fully developed individuals, and the story was not only engrossing, but also sizzled off the pages. The author also managed to weave intrigue, drama, and more than a little tension into her storyline- which, again, made for an unputdownable read. June and Dallas have a complicated history that overshadows everything. June never wanted to see him, ever again, after what happened— but her budding business’s future is riding on her getting a major cash injection, which means having to face him again, with hat in hand. Mmmmmm awkward much! What ensues makes for a really great read. I definitely recommend this book, and the series- they are well worth the read. Looking forward to more from Ms. Rossler in the (near) future! Happy reading!

Holy smokes! The tension between Ashton and Zachary is amazing and will blow you away! I highly recommend this steamy, sultry book to be your next read. BDSM is involved so be prepared.
The second my kids knew I had a book by this author, we had to read it! They were so excited before we even got to the first page. As always, we were all instantly engaged either the story and the characters and how the author brought them both to life. What really makes these books so special is the illustrations. They are so vivid and and make it so much easier to imagine everything going on. We spend just as much time looking at then as we do reading the book. This is a really great story and we all enjoyed reading it multiple times.
