Wow! The illustrations in this book are fantastic! So colorful and vivid! When I read this story with my 7yo son, I can say neither one of us was expecting what it was actually about. I love how there are little fun facts to learn about different things throughout the entire story. I love how mermaids are reimagined in so many different ways. This is definitely a children’s book that I would not only read repeatedly, but would want a physical copy of. I’m sure I can safely say anyone, young or young at heart, would love the pictures.
This book was steamy! Fantastic characters with great growth. Jolie’s character is extremely relatable and very well written. She has a lot of the same insecurities that many women have. Despite it, she’s able to over come her fears. Cy’s character arc is fantastic and will have you falling in love with him just like the female lead. I’ve read plenty of undercover boss stories, but nothing like this one. The setting itself is unique and a ton of fun!
I started this book only expecting to read a couple of pages. I finished reading it in one sitting. This book was fast paced and very captivating. I cannot wait to read more in this series! I loved it so much, I want to purchase a physical copy for my “trophy” book shelf. These are books I thoroughly relished after reading the ebook, that I feel like I need a physical copy too. This is the second series I have read by this author, and she never fails to keep me coming back for more. I delight in her writing and stories.

This is the first book in the series ‘Spicetopia’, technically, they can be read in any order as they are individual storylines with interconnecting parts. But I recommend starting with this book and reading in order.
Jolie and Cy have an immediate connection. To bad each other them are hiding major parts of themselves. Cy, the millionaire and son of parents who own the family theme park ‘Sweetopia’ and Jolie, the single mom that is half family theme park Queen and other half dominatrix.
Cy has his inheritance on the line and agrees to go ‘undercover’ in the theme park to figure out who the rebel employees are and their plans to go public with horrible information about the Sweet Family, specifically Cy mother and father. Cy is originally under the impression the rebels are lying and just stirring up trouble. He doesn’t expect to end up on their side nor to fall in love with the beautiful Queen, Jolie.
Jolie, has been under extreme pressure taking care of his chronically ill son as well as juggling two equally demanding jobs. The Sweets, have horrible health insurance and want a robot more than an employee. She wants to put their ignorance on the live news for everyone to see, but she didn’t imagine she’d ever find a wonderful man that makes her feel alive.
They both have secrets and when those secrets are exposed, they are both left wondering what to do next. Will Jolie be able to take care of her family while also enjoying her own life? Will she forgive a man who utterly lied about everything, even his name? Will Cy, chose his blood family or the woman he has fell in love with? How important is money to him?
I absolutely loved this adventure with these two and would recommend this book & series to anyone who wants a spicey romance without the storyline being too heavy.

I really enjoyed this book. I love this series and the author because the stories are so uplifting and full of characters that help show children how working together can be fun and rewarding for everyone. This story of Cray and Fay’s adventure as they travel together to warmer climate was inspiring. They connected and helped so many individuals on their journey. It shows that helping each other is a great way to connect and make friends. I really recommend this series and author to parents with children who love to read.

This is the 3rd book in the Shadow Defense Security Series. I love this series. Finley is a reporter undercover. Drake is a former Navy Seal that hates reports. Finley and Drake are the most unlikely pair but their chemistry is off the charts. This book kept me on the edge of my seat with twists and turns. I just wished there were more books in this series!
Mistaken Identity is the debut novel by Stephanie R. Caffrey. This book is the first in the London Detective Agency series. This book is a thriller/romance about graduate student Evelyn Stevenson. When Stephanie encounters a stranger at the airport, she finds herself in trouble with a notorious crime boss. She meets Patrick Miller who protects her to bring down the crime boss. This story has a great plot and tons of action. This is a truly engaging story. There is a great dynamic between Evelyn and Patrick. I found myself rooting for them. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat.

This is the 5th and final book of The Thompsons of Locust Street although this is the first one that I have read. I didn’t feel lost but I do think I want to go back and read the other 4 books. I really loved the characters and their interactions with each other. Payden and Clarice are an unlikely pair that had my interest from the start. I also loved how the story flashed back to explain Payden’s time in Scotland.

This book is part of the Silver Springs Pets Series. This was one of the most unique books I have read. Basil is a vegan vampire that finds a way around drinking human blood through science which was an interesting twist.. This is also a fated mates/reverse harame. JJ, Jo, and Theo have to be the most unique supernaturals I have come across. It was a fast, fun read.

This is the first book in the A Better Man Series and I loved it. The characters were amazing. Bailey is a strong and independent single mom who is a VP at the company she works at. Fox is the CEO and a single dad. The connection that these two find and the way they navigate around the pitfalls their relationship could cause is perfect.

I really enjoyed this book. I wish we would’ve known more about what all the Fitzgeralds did, maybe because I’m a nosy person, but we do get to see this guy be a villain for sure. That characters are great, the first interaction between Patrick and Evie is hilarious and I did feel a little something between them; this book does have a slow burn with their relationship which I enjoyed since they were able to focus on the case instead of just themselves. I fell in love with James instantly, funny best friends are the best. (I seen that book two stars him so I’m definitely going to need to read it). Overall I felt the story was original and I like that I wasn’t able to predict what was going to happen next.
I thoroughly enjoyed this first book in a new series which had me hooked throughout. Evelyn Stevenson is a graduate student, who is excited to be leaving home for the first time to travel abroad to study. However, her adventure of a lifetime does not go to plan having had a mix up at the airport during her London layover. This mix up puts her on the radar of a dangerous and notorious crime boss, luckily she has also come to the notice of a very handsome, but burly private investigator Patrick Miller. Evelyn must now rely on him to protect her. Meanwhile, Patrick is on his own mission for revenge, so he’s not very happy when he has to protect Evelyn. Although the couple are both in danger the longer they are together they start to develop feelings for one another, but they need to focus on surviving. This romantic suspense kept me happily turning the pages. The exciting storyline and fast paced plot kept me gripped whilst I felt engaged with the likeable and relatable characters. The chemistry between Evelyn and Patrick came across in the narrative and I liked how their relationship developed throughout the story. I look forward to to book two!

Having read and enjoyed the previous books in this series, I was looking forward to being back with the O’Connell’s in Port Townsend and I was not disappointed. This is Jake O’Connell’s story as he causes a stir in Port Townsend having returned for his brother David’s wedding. Jake has made some dramatic changes in his life including leaving behind his enviable life as CEO of the family business in North Bend. He is now living in a rented Victorian mansion and has started a new career writing thrillers, which his friends within his old social circle disapprove off. Jake’s twin is the country heartthrob Joe Bob Blade who he has a complicated relationship with. He is also holding a grudge against his brothers who left him to be CEO of the family business whilst they followed their own dreams. Jake, who is still grieving for his friend, finds a muse in Chiara who he has an instant connection with but who is also married. This is an enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which had be hooked from start to finish. Once again the setting of Port Townsend came to life through the descriptive narrative making me feel immersed in the story. The wonderful characters both old and new all added to the story, and I love ‘catching up’ with characters from the previous books. The heartwarming storyline focusing on Jake and Chiara took me on an emotional rollercoaster and kept me happily turning the pages.

Web of Evil by NL Holmes is a captivating historical mystery novel that takes readers on a thrilling journey through ancient Egypt. The author does a fantastic job of immersing readers in the ancient Egyptian setting, capturing the culture and traditions of the time with vivid detail. The plot is well-paced and keeps readers on the edge of their seats as the characters navigate through a complex web of deceit and betrayal.
One of the standout aspects of this novel is the strong and empowering female characters, particularly Neferet, who defies societal norms and fights for justice in a male-dominated world. The relationships between the characters are well-developed, providing depth and complexity to the story.

Mistaken Identity By: Stephanie R. Caffrey 4 Star Review Mistaken Identity was action packed from the start and never a dull moment. Stephanie R. Caffrey kept me captivated throughout the whole book.
Evie aka Evelyn found herself in a situation at the airport that kept her from her next destination to Greece. When she bumped into someone accidently and they switched identical bags she was on a race to get hers back. While running to track down her bag Evie ran into Patrick Miller P.I who mistook her for the girl he was looking for that was running from a Crime Family. Both eventually work together with the help of James, Patrick’s roommate and Business partner so that Evie can go home. There was some betrayal throughout the book with people Patrick thought they could trust. Again, Action packed with a romance that had them back and forth with a uncertainty that had me rooting for the both of them to win in this whole situation. Loved how the story was written and the characters were introduced and brought together. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This travel guide explores the history and mythology or folklore of England, religion and photography, and food and sight-seeing. I’ve learnt about places and things such as Barter Books, the Banksy Street Art Tour, and the Wing Maze in Rutland. I’ve also learnt about booking flights, booking accommodation, and taking medication abroad. The book could be a bit repetitive at times but overall it was really interesting and insightful. I recommend this book because I learnt a lot about the country I was born and brought up in. I’ve added a lot of places to my bucket list and gathered some useful information for if I ever want to feature England in my own writing. ‘There are many times I’ve looked back on my photos and remembered a scene I had forgotten, relived a memory I had lost.’

This is an interesting start to the Life is Hell series. Delilah needs a vacation and she goes to Juniper Lake thinking that the small town will be a nice break, little does she know what is in store for her there. This vacation comes with a plethora of paranormal beings and one sexy sheriff. I enjoyed meeting Delilah and being along for the adventure that is her vacation. There is more than one surprise for Delilah in this little town. I loved that Delilah is a strong woman who can stand on her own and is more than ready to fight for what is right. Her story moves at a good pace and is full of engaging characters. The author has created a delightful little town with interesting characters that pull you into their adventures and have you eager to return for more.

I am so happy I picked up this book, once I started reading I couldn’t out it down. This book had me tiring pages like they were on fire. It had everything I love reading, demon, paranormal, supernatural, suspense, drama, summing’s, love, I could go on. Deliah is an amazing character; she sold her soul almost 200 years ago and is taking some sweet revenge on all cheating husbands. Owning a bar and living in the city thou she rents out a cabin on the lake to take sometime away from it all, but boy did she have that wrong, take a trip with Deliah no nonsense attitude and find out why the things that were happening well were happening. This book was incredible, and I really enjoyed every word of it.

This author is one that I never hesitate to pick up! Every single time I read one of their books, I am always blown away. I was beyond excited to start this series and after I’ve finished this book, I am running to pick up the next! Delilah has no time for anyone’s drama and has the feel of ‘take me as I am’ which I LOVED. Malakhi is the sheriff and may have some chemistry pop on the pages with Delilah. Both of them felt incredibly relatable, and the flow of the story is marvelous! This was such an entertaining experience as I was completely immersed in this world once I began reading. If you’re looking for an action-packed, polyamorous, LGBTQ paranormal romance, this has to be your next book! I’ll give you a tip – clear your afternoon because once you start this book, there’s no putting it down. I highly recommend picking up this one as I’m running to buy the second in the series!

Managing Mischief really kicks things up a notch from the first book, and I loved it! The covers of this series are extremely eye-catching. If you haven’t read the first one, I would recommend it. Alyndra really gets into how their relationship grows and changes, both inside and outside the club, as they deal with all sorts of drama. And let’s talk about those spicy scenes—whew! Also I could not believe the plot twist in this one! Overall, it was a fun and steamy read that kept me hooked from start to finish.
When it’s time for Fay to travel to warmer waters, she wants to have a parade of animals as she goes. Along her journey, she comes across some new friends who could use some help. As she travels and makes new friends, her parade begins to form. The focus on this book is kindness and will open up dialogue to have the important conversations with young readers.
This is a great series and I recommend this for your public, school, or personal library!

This was my first book by this author, and it ended up being a pretty cute western romance to read in my lazy afternoon. It’s the beginning of the Match Made in Montana series which looks like it’s going to be quite interesting. I do enjoy both the rivalry and forced proximity tropes this book contains as well. The chemistry between Ryan and Meg is intriguing and kept my interest throughout the story. I did feel the flow of the characters’ interactions felt a little unnatural at times, but nothing to remove a star for whatsoever. If you’re usually put off by the spiciness of romance books these days, this is a nice, refreshingly clean romance to cleanse your palate.
This was such a fun book to read . I pick up children’s books because they are so refreshing and this was such a good pick . Dylan and his sister Emily arrive at the baseball practice and find out from their coach that all the bases are missing . Dylan has his sleuth kit with him . Together they set out on a quest . After talking to various people in the park , they eventually figure out the mystery . This was such a cute book to read . I would recommend it to all young readers .

No Rest for the Wicked (Life is Hell Series) by Naomi Valkyrie . This book was an amazing start to this series! I love this author so I wasn’t surprised but wow. Its the story of Delilah who is a demon who gets revenge on cheaters. She is burned out and needs a change of pace so she heads to Juniper Lake where she thinks it will be quiet and calm, of course that is not what she finds. The sheriff Malakahi has been sheriff in Juniper Lake for a few years now and he is so tried of trying to hide the fact that he is not human. Delilah keeps getting the sense of a spell coming on and somehow gets bonded to a trio of witches. She also keeps getting a pull toward the sheriff and she knows that won’t work out. Will Malakahi find out that Delilah is a demon before she can get done what she needs to? Seems like the sheriff is everywhere Delilah shows up. She also has the witches to deal with. She came here wanting a break and she is not getting that at all. Such a fun, fast paced paranormal romance.

This is an epic fantasy adventure with an exciting storyline and it’s a huge book with many pages. This is a very long read and not an overly easy one, mainly due to the high number of characters in the story all of whom have unusual names, making it hard to keep track of them all. The world building however is amazing and the fantasy world created by the author came vividly to life, which made me feel more immersed in the story. The main character and the one who I found it the easiest to feel engaged with is Basil, a sheltered healing mage’s apprentice. Basil sets out to march with the crusade called for by ‘The High King of Coserai’, to defend the holy land following a raid by bloodthirsty monsters at the first archangels birthplace. However, Basil has another reason for going, to accomplish his Low King’s agenda to find the oracle and gain insight into the realms fate. Basil faces many dangers and threats on his journey, including from criminals and demons paid to kill crusade members. Along the way Basil begins to discover the truth about his divine destiny. Told from many different character POV’s I did find the narrative a bit difficult to understand at times. I also personally found there was an overload of information in each chapter which overwhelmed me rather. I must admit I did find myself flicking through some pages just to get to the end of the book. I found the book was just too long with too many characters and the multiple POV’s didn’t work for me. However, the storyline is intriguing, the characters are well defined and the setting comes to life, and as I am not an avid fantasy lover maybe I just ‘didn’t get it’! I did love Basil though and was left wondering what the author has in mind for him in the next book in this series.

Having read the book this author had written about England, and having just booked a family trip to Scotland, I knew I had to read this book too. As with the other book, I found this one to be detailed and descriptive. The view point offered had such a refreshing feel to it and it felt like I was looking at Scotland from a locals eyes. I learnt about so many places from this book and it has really made me want to visit it. This author really has found their niche in terms of their writing style. For this book, I found it so easy to imagine the places being described and it has made me excited to visit some of them this summer. This was a great travel guide that I am sure I will revisit in the future.

I have lived in England all my life and I am always looking for new ways to discover more about it. This book offered the perfect opportunity to do that. It felt like a refreshing and unique perspective, all told by an author whose writing style I have really come to appreciate. The way places were described was detailed and descriptive and I could easily imagine what the author was trying to portray. This is the first non-fiction book that I have read by this author and I know it will definitely be one that I will revisit often. It have already marked out the places I want to visit based on this authors recommendations. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone that wants a different view of how to travel round the country.

This is a fantastic resource for parents and teachers alike who may want to introduce yoga to their littles. This is very well written so that any one can understand it (there isn’t a lot of jargon used) and I really like that there are links, worksheets, and spaces for notes available. This is a great 6-week (or it could be longer) guide to introducing yoga to students. I’m also very appreciative of the fact that they give advice for using their lessons for beginners and more advanced students and younger and older students. They also advise on certain activities for smaller or larger groups. This is a really thought out and well planned lesson planning guide on yoga. Great resource! Reviewed by @meggs1717
