This is a great addition to the series and it just as exciting to read as the other books. I found myself becoming invested in this book with ease, wanting to find out what would happen. I enjoyed learning about the main character. You could really see her development throughout the story. This is a fast paced story and the author throws in a lot of twists and turns. It is enough to keep you interested throughout the whole book. I think this book really complements the others and I am looking forward to whatever is next.

Cabin Eight is the third book in The Millersville Series by Susan Specht Oram. I found this book to be like the previous two and had it’s fair share of lies, suspense and deceit. Miranda (the main character) is well developed and find herself in multiple situations that I feel will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering what happens! Tensions are at an all-time high as Miranda finds herself facing some of her greatest fears! Miranda is trying to seek solace at a mysterious remote resort, and she finds herself faced with much more than she could ever have imagined. Miranda has no stop when it comes to her curiosity being peaked…it’s how the old saying goes “curiosity killed the cat”, will Miranda find herself as being next? There are plenty of horrors, dangers, conspiracies, games, and twists and turns that make for an interesting read. The only way to find out what dangers Miranda gets herself in to, is to read the book!

This book is an historical retelling of Cinderella. It is well written and a pretty interesting story. I enjoyed it more than I expected I would – Cinderella adaptions are, in my opinion, starting to feel overdone. However, the author managed to put enough of her own spin on the story that I found it enjoyable. I would have liked there to be a bigger emphasis on the steampunk element as the look and feel of the book suggested that is what we would get. The characters were good and I liked their instant connection. It stayed true too the original story while also giving its own feel. I think this book was worth reading and I will be exploring more from the author in the future.

The author has done it again! I truly enjoyed Shore Lodge which is the first book in this series, I highly recommend reading it so you can get a feel for the town and the development of the characters in this book. To me, this book wasn’t as dark as the first one, but was equally as entertaining. Jasmine or Jas (the main character) loves her dad and just like any girl who loves her dad, she is willing to do anything for him. When her dad springs on her that he has a devastating lung disease that doesn’t have the best hopes for recovery, Jas start to think of ways to help her dad. She steps in and does what any daughter might do for their dad, or would they? Jas works for a man who doesn’t have the best reputation and is downright shady, especially with his had in laundering money. She decides that she needs to take a risk and steals the money that is needed to get her dad into a treatment center. Next thing she knows is that sirens, badges and being stranded on the side of the road quickly become her future.
With all of these exciting new things happening to Jas, she quickly has to learn who her friends are, aren’t and even finds herself making new friends along the way. She is on a “vacation of a lifetime” trying to get her dad to treatment. This book has all the feels involved…. there’s plenty of laughs, maybe a few tears and of course a huge dose of mystery.
This book was a pretty quick, entertaining read that will keep you on the edge of your seat. You just never know who’s going to show up, what’s going to happen and who it is going to happen to! Is Jas the only thief or are there multiple thieves? Does Jas get her dad the help that he needs or are her efforts a complete bust? The only way to find out is to read for yourself!

At the start of this book it gave me vibes like Willy Wonka and Chocolate Factory or Alice in Wonderland. I felt like the message throughout the book was that Miranda needed to face her wrongdoings in order to have a happy life. BUT, then I realized the intended message was more about the ethics behind what the company was doing to people without consent. Miranda was put in many interesting situations, but I felt they were very unrealistic and that could be that the timeline went SOOO fast. I did like that the ending found Miranda making apologies and that things were wrapped up. I also think that this book brings up many interesting ethics questions. So, overall, this one was just okay to me.

Noah Reagan has ambitions and one of them is to attend the Summer With Supers Youth Camp, he wants to work in the scientific field and make a difference, not like his dad who just cleans up after them, but alas that was not to be because of some mutants attacking the town of Lincoln where he lives. All he wanted was to be bully free and able to enjoy himself while learning, but when the programme is cancelled, he has to actually work over his summer holidays instead, but at least it’s only during the week, he will at least have the weekends free to have fun with his best friend.
So as soon as his dad finds out what happened at the latest mutant attack and that he was there, he is furious and so his internship with Mega-Maintenance company begins, it isn’t glamorous and it isn’t easy, but Noah learns just how much work his dad has to do after the smoke clears and the rubble settles. While he is working, he thinks about the mutants and what he has seen when they attack and he thinks that he might have a theory as to what is behind it, but he needs some super help with his investigation.
Meanwhile, there are more mutant attacks all over Lincoln, but will Noah be able to figure out who the mastermind behind the mutants and the mega-issues they are causing, or will he be able to stop them before the Supers get more than they can handle? This is a fun read with plenty of mutants, superpowers and mayhem galore as Noah tries to save his not so super summer!

Wow! What a thrilling read! From the beginning till the end, I was hooked, even though there were a couple of times I had to reread a paragraph or two just to make sure I understood what the author was trying to say with her story. Other than that, this was very well written!
The story begins with introducing us to Jacklyn Stone, who has recently lost her husband, and as expected she is absolutely crushed and heartbroken. Nothing is working out how she had planned and imagined it would. The bank accounts aren’t adding up like they used to, she’s had a fender bender, misplaced her keys, and overall is having a good run of bad luck! She’s beginning to wonder if all of this has to do with the grief she’s experiencing or if something more is contributing to her newfound chaos.
Dusty Stone (Jacklyn’s son) is a contractor and has recently convinced his mom to give him power of attorney over her health and finances. He’s truly concerned that his mother is really losing her mind and Dusty just feels like his sister needs caring for their mother.
Rose Stone (Dusty’s sister & Jacklyn’s daughter) is a hard-working single mother doing everything she can to provide for her son and now has the task of also taking care of her mother. While she’s not trying to neglect her mother’s needs, she agrees with her brother that their mother needs to be assessed and admitted to Shore Lodge. This will help Rose tremendously with a much-needed break from the double duties she has recently inquired.
Now that Jacklyn has been admitted to Shore Lodge as a resident, there are many disturbing and horrific situations that come about. Jacklyn handles several different situations to the best of her abilities. Does Jacklyn come out of these situations ok, did Dusty and Rose make the right decision by having their mother admitted to Shore Lodge…the only way to find out is to pick up the book and read it on your own! I promise you will not be disappointed!!

This is a good story that moves along at a good clip. This one is written with a different look than book 1. Almost made me think it was a different author. It starts off good then when the action starts..it just threw me with the words and actions of all of the characters. They were made to be like bumbling idiots. It just seemed weird to me. The idea of the story was good. I guess the best way to describe this is entertaining.

This one is a huge struggle! I was expecting a book like Shore Lodge but it is more along the line of Thieves. The character of Miranda seems like she has a good head on her shoulders. She is dropped into the most unbelievable storyline. I just really had a hard time keeping interest. Sorry I wanted to like it.

This is book 7 in the Madeline Dawkins series and I can’t believe these books keep getting better every time. These books can be read as a standalone, however I do recommend reading them in order so you get the backstory of the main character Madeline and wow what a story it is.
In this book we are with Madeline and Mike that their PI Agency as they are handed new cases. Both cases are from people Madeline used to know before the scandal of her ex husband. There is a case of embezzlement, a missing bookkeeper, a possible gold digger and more secrets and lies then you could ever imagine. The question is are these 2 seeming unrelated cases connected in any way? And if they are does this mean Madeline and Mike are about to uncover something so big neither of them could have anticipated how far it reaches? This story is fast paced, full of twists and turns and what I love is just when you think you have it all figured out the author sends up for another loop and makes you question everything you think you know. I love feeling like i am part of these investigations solving the clues along with Madeline and her team. Another amazing read. I can’t wait for more.

Miranda Diggs seems to find herself in trouble wherever she goes. Helping out with cleaning homes, she forgets things and even caused a fire that destroyed 3 other rooms. Now there are enough fines she will be paying back forever. She has just not found herself, well until she goes on a mind clearing vacation. At which point she finds herself fighting against crimes that continue to follow her. This is a well written crime based thriller. The events that happen are enough to keep you reading. This author has a way with words and getting her point across. I found this to be a fast paced story. The characters are believable as well as the events. Fiddle and Fire (Hearts of Gold Book 2) by Ariella Talix. This is a great historical MMF romance. Its the second book in the series and I always say books are better if read in order. A beautiful socialite from Paris, Suzette, travels to California to change up her life and meet new and interesting people. When Isaac and Walter meet the French beauty they are both intrigued to the point of having to get to know her. Suzette has decided having two men in love with her is so fun she never wants to leave but when her someone from her past comes looking for her things become intense. This person is very unhealthy for Suzette and will destroy all chances of happiness for her if he has his way. Will Suzette be able to say in California where her life has finally become bearable or will she go back to the old life of sadness and emptiness in Paris. Such a fun MMF romance with just enough spice!

I started this book and didn’t put it down. It captivated me right from the start. It was not a long book by any means but I could not stop reading. .Rene, the main character, has lost his sister to murder. He will not stop until he figures out who killed her. Due to his wealthy family he is able to go to the crime scenes but is not getting privy to the information he needs. His and his sister’s friend, Dahlia, his source of information is in the fire.
In the midst of all his grief and depression, Rene is seeing an illusion of a woman, mostly in his dreams. This book is quick to read but written with lots of thought and flowing pen to keep you reading. I will read this author’s books again.

I have really enjoyed reading Fiddle and Fire. I have recently found that I really enjoy Historical romance stories and this is one of those. Fiddle and fire is an amazing MMF book. The characters and world building was really good. This book was a page turner for me, as I wanted to know what happened next. I highly recommend this book, if this is your type of genre!

This book is part of a series that I have enjoyed reading from the first book. This author is still kind of newer for me, each book tops the next. This one just might be my favorite of all yet. This is a suspenseful story that will push your phobia to new levels and secrets that just may be left just that a secret. I enjoyed the growth of the story as well as what the characters brought to the story. This is an engaging, hard to put down story that has twists and turns that had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next. The characters pull you into their world from the start. They are creative, strong and supportive of each other. They add so much to the entertainment value of the story. I really enjoyed this book and you will never see the twists coming. I highly recommend this book and this author.

Yeti definitely finds a home after leaving what he thought was a good life. One of solitude and confinement in the mountains. Barely Interacting with the townsfolk he discovers he’s flushed out by a hunter. Running to a new city he finds he’s truly not alone. While there isn’t another yeti around he makes friends, solidifies a pack, and begins a new adventure a life full of joy happiness and friendship. Integrating into a new lifestyle in the city the hunter finds him again. This time he doesn’t run but fights to keep his place and prove his innocence.
This is one of the most joyful, interesting, and fun reads ! I mean who doesn’t love a good story about Cryptids.
I hope there will be a part two or maybe even a sequel to the lives of one of yeti’s friends.

This is my first book by this author which I look forward to seeing what is next for her. This is a historical fantasy book that is well written and hard to put down. A story where a curse needs to be broken by midnight or will Elle and her father be held captive by this curse forever. I enjoyed Elle’s characters and what she brought to the story. She is my favorite of the story for sure. She made the story for me, hands down. You won;t see some things coming. This is a fast paced story that you don’t want to miss. I enjoyed watching the growth of the plot which made the story easy to read. It is an entertaining story that I highly recommend.

In this short book you learn about Rene, Belladonna, and the rest of their friends. It’s an action packed fantasy story. Someone is killing all the girls, Rene is hell bent on finding out who but begins to see an angel. Little does he know Belladonna is no angel. In a quick told tale you learn everything and watch Belladonna fall for Rene. A good story to read and I can’t wait to read more.
I love the Millersville Series but this book took me a lot more time to get into the others. It takes you to the life of Miranda Diggs. She has had a lot of bad times in her life and is attempting to relax and get her life back. Yet again she makes choices that send her down an unknown path. This path is confusing to say the least. As always the book is full of twists, turns and other action packed issues!

Oh my goodness! A MMF in a historical western. This was a fun and entertaining story. Walter and Isaac became fast friends on their travels out west. Once they settled and started their business, along comes Suzette and her past. Cue the adventure, drama and romance. The plot had a few glitchy parts. I did enjoy the characters and how they were written. Overall, a quick read that might kill some time while you’re home in the evening.

An entertaining paranormal read that has a little of what I love: witches, fae, zombies, wild things and some that I don’t: demons and hunters. I loved the writing. It was like hide and seek for the paranormal. The premise of the plot is good. The characters are weirdly fascinating and grow on you. It’s a quick read that will have you chuckling as you indulge in trying to figure out why?
I fell in love with this story because it was a Cinderella retelling from the boy POV. It’s a refreshing tale. I found it entertaining and actually enjoyed it. It was a quick read. I think the YA crowd will like it. The premise is good. The characters are quite well-done. It has a good vibe about it.

Let’s start off with a trigger warning. This is a complicated book. You can read the synopsis for the reasons. The premise is okay. Trauma often brings about romance. Lyle is trying to move on with his life with his fiancé when a family tragedy changes everything. The drama that happens can change everything. The characters are well written. The turmoil is real. You can feel the angst and worry, all the emotion.
Riley and Cole, they aren’t enemies, but they aren’t friendly with each other either. Savage Truth picks up with all the intensity from the ending of Savage Lies. It isn’t lack of interest that keep Cole and Riley from each other, there is definitely a spark! Riley’s past and Cole’s pain are the problem. And then the secrets start surfacing. As the truth starts to get out, everyone is there to protect themselves. When Riley is truly in danger attitudes start to shift. Riley’s father truly is the terrible person her mother has always claimed he was. When he makes his appearance known he does it in a bad way. Cole and Damon learn all the secrets; their family secrets and Riley’s and it makes all the difference in their attitudes. Cole, Damon and the cousins join forces with Uncle Ronan to make sure Riley is safe.
This series has been a roller coaster of emotions that keeps you reading late into the night. Save Lies and Savage Truth have been gripping and I can’t wait for the rest of the series!

Great read. This story is so creative and nothing like what I have read before. I really enjoyed the concept of Rene and Belladonna’s relationship, and how they came to be together. My heart hurt so much for the pain Rene goes through, not only with his sister, but with his own brother! Belladonna upset me, she didn’t give Rene a choice in anything and made decisions about Rene’s life on her own, but in the end, I think, he thinks it all worked out for the best. The ending was left open, a second book could be added on but if there isn’t one, the story was still wrapped up nicely.
4.5 stars Afflicted Love is the first book in the Rhythm & Heart Series. I have read a lot of books by Autumn and there is not one that I have not liked. This is an M/M romance story that is full of emotions. It is raw and steamy and sexy as hell. I fell in love with these gorgeous characters. They both have tumultuous pasts and each are broken in their own way. This book tells the story of betrayal, heartbreak and love. With passion and lust, desires and longing, betrayal and pain, and secrets that may just tear them apart it makes for a compelling read. It will captivate you from the start to finish. 3 stars Fiddle and Fire is a historical MMF romance tale. Never having read anything by this author before I was interested to see what she brought to the table. Only to realise that this is the second book in the series. I wished I read the first book first. I will be going back to read it. I love a good ménage but alas it was a little lacking in that department. I felt a little detached from the story and skipped my way through a lot of it. The narrative kept on changing which slowed me down as I had to reread some of it to realise who was speaking. The historical information is interesting and there is some humour to be found. Suzette de Massey has caught the eye of two best friends. Together they make a happy threesome. Unfortunately her past comes back to haunt her but everyone she cares for is in danger. All in all it is not a bad read and if you like historical romance with MMF characters as the lead then give this one a go.

A Curse of Ash and Iron by Christine Norris 4 Stars
I love retellings of fairytales! It is so interesting to see what authors can come up with to make the stories original. This is the first book that I have read by this author and I loved it. It had a steampunk feel to it. The story takes place in the late 1800’s when steam machines were first being invented. Society had strict rules especially when it came to women and high society. As in the fairytale, Ellie’s mother dies and her father remarries. Olivia was quite something; mean, rude and desire driven. Life with her was not pleasant. Unlike the Disney version, Ellie only had one stepsister, Rebecca, who I actually liked a lot. Although there were some similarities with the fairytale, the author added her own ideas to the story which made it amazingly creative. I personally loved the paranormal twist. The drama and deadline to solve the issue raised my anxiety until the climax. This story is well written and an excellent version of Cinderella.
