Dance of Hearts: a Cinderella Regency Romance Retelling (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 1)Dance of Hearts: a Cinderella Regency Romance Retelling by Byrd Nash
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Byrd Nash. I loved this story. It was very well thought out and so sweet. I buried my nose in it and finished in no time. This will not be the last time I read something from this author. In this retelling of Cinderella our main female character is Miss Melinda Wychwood and she has some fairy lineage to her. Our “prince charming” is a childhood friend of Miss Wychwood who falls in love with her all over again. Such a great book!

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Series Book 2) by Amy McKinley – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Bound by Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops, #2)Bound by Secrets by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was awesome. I love this series. I cannot wait until the next one. I will honestly read anything Amy Mckinley writes. This book was Jaxon and Kayla’s story. How their romance started… ended… and why. It was a heartbreaking story but written so beautifully. Jaxon is the oldest of the Hale brothers. He is a former navy seal and currently helping the police captain by covering while he recovers from surgery. Kayla has found herself in an abusive relationship and needs to get clear of that situation ASAP. It was perfectly written.

Crave (Clark Family Series) by Evelyn Sola – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Crave (Clark Family Series Book 1)Crave by Evelyn Sola
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Evelyn Sola. In this book our main characters are Sandy and Jake. Sandy is a nurse and doesn’t need any one to swoop in and “save” her, she takes care of herself just fine. Jake Clark is from “old money” and a family owned business that’s been around awhile. This tale is a love story and how different people and different situations can either help or hurt your relationship.

Don’t Worry, I Still Hate You by Marie Skye – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Happily Ever AfterHappily Ever After by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book has such amazing authors in it. Each story was great! I decided to give a try and I wasn’t let down. I love anything by Marie Skye and this too, did not disappoint. Not only was this a great story but it was hilarious. I read this in a work day- literally. I opened the book and read the entire day until I’d finished. The main female character is Perrie (Pear) and she’s funny. I love her. I honestly couldn’t get enough of these characters. The main male character is Ash and he was so loveable in an irritating way- haha. Absolutely read this book. The premise is Perrie needing to find confidence in herself… or so she thinks. It’s a great read.

The Graceful Ghost by Eleanor Dixon – Review by Meg Tyrrell

THE GRACEFUL GHOST: A story for girls rich with authentic ballet school detail and sparkling with ghostly mischiefTHE GRACEFUL GHOST: A story for girls rich with authentic ballet school detail and sparkling with ghostly mischief by Eleanor Dixon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Eleanor Dixon. This isn’t the type of book I normally read and at first I wasn’t really sure about the whole book itself. Now after finishing the book I have decided that Eleanor Dixon can write anything and I’ll read it. This story was about a young girl who wanted to be a ballerina and had some personal issues to get over in order to make that happen and a little ghost that helped her. I definitely can’t wait to see if she writes another one. I love Lauren and I love Grace and this is such a great book I definitely recommend it.

Xander is trying to figure out what went wrong with his last missions and if he’ll reenlist when his time is up. Matching Miriam by Mya O’Malley – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Matching MiriamMatching Miriam by Mya O’Malley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not a new author for me. I love Mya O’Malley and her series the Maggie Trilogy was amazing. I could not wait for this book to come out. I already knew who our main character was, because I read the Maggie series. This book can be read as a standalone, but don’t do that to yourself. The main female is Miriam and she’s a detective. Our main male character is Jesse, and they are long-lost loves. This book tells their story and was worth the wait. I’m excited to see what else she’s got up her sleeve!

Nite Fire: Flash Point (Volume 1) AUDIO BOOK by C.L. Schneider – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is my first book by C.L. Schneider. It is not typically the type of book I read but I was intrigued by the synopsis. This was a really interesting book and well thought out, with amazing word building. The main character is a shape-shifting assassin Dahlia Nite. She is part human part dragon. She leaves her home to live on Earth, as she feels exiled for going against her queen. She decides to help the humans survive unexplained creatures as thanks for her not having to be killed in her home realm. All the lies she’s had to tell to keep everyone safe are stacking up, and are getting harder for the humans to believe. The narrator for this book, made this entire story for me. Such a great performance!

Broken Circle: A Gray Ghost Novel, Book 1 AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Meg Tyrrell

I enjoyed listening to this book a lot. I’m a big fan of Amy McKinley books and this one didn’t disappoint. I’m excited this is a new series to me and look forward to the next book in the A Gray Ghost Novel books. This book has our lead female character Liv (Olivia) Wrightwood, an artist who lost her parents in a tragic car accident. She’s married to Alex Mudarra, an up-and-coming NYPD detective. Through her fight for survival she meets Liam who helps her get through some daring situations. This was a great listen and the narrator did a great job! RECOMMEND!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Can we just have a second for me to fan girl all over this new series? I can’t get enough. I love the Life is Hell series and devour them the second I get them open. I read this in one sitting and probably neglected my life for a few hours, but SO WORTH IT. Naomi Valkyrie is one of my newest favorite authors. I can’t wait for the next one- read this series. Please read in order, that way everything makes sense the way the author intended. This book focuses on Millie and Sheridan, who in the first book were just supporting characters. Great word building and story line. Can’t get enough, I’m officially a Naomi junkie!

Anything I read by Amy Mckinley is awesome. This short story was probably one of my favorites. This was such a sweet book of lost love reclaimed. I love how easy Amy’s stories come together. She can instantly get me involved with any story and I can’t put it down till it’s finished. I ate this book up and can’t wait till I get the next book she writes.

Wildfire (The Broken Bow Book #2)Wildfire by Ashley A Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Ashley Quinn. I didn’t realize this was a book 2 before I started reading. I couldn’t stop reading once I started and LOVED this story. Ashley Quinn has a way with word building and creating great stories and characters. I WISH I had realized there was a first book, but you can bet your last dollar I’m headed to that book now. I loved these characters and can’t wait for more of the stories that come with them. This one was Tara and Jace’s story. It was full of healing after a severe tragedy. Found myself a new favorite author and a great new series to be obsessed with!

Unwrapping Noel AUDIO BOOK by Jennifer Theriot – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is my first book by Jennifer Theriot. This was a story about Noel needing a change in her life. Deciding how and what she needed to do to make better decisions. It was a great Christmas story about finding love and self worth. I’m glad I read it and am intrigued to see what else I can find by this author. The narrator did a good job on this and helped lead the story where the author wanted it to go. Totally recommend this audiobook and this author!

Stars Fall From the Sky (Reigning Hearts Book Two) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is book 2 in the reigning hearts series, and I have read book 1. I am all about reading them in order, but you don’t have to in order to enjoy this story. I’m going to be honest with this book. When I read the e-book for Book 1, it was amazing and i couldn’t put it down. I started this book and the first 3 chapters broke my heart. I didn’t finish it. When I saw it was out on Audiobook, I decided to just go for it. The narrator was amazing and did the story such justice. I cried a lot during this book, but also got my happy ending as well. It was a great book and I’m mad I didn’t finish it sooner.

The Rest of Forever (Audio Tour) by Carrie Pulkinen – Review by Meg Tyrrell

This is my first book by Carrie Pulkinen. It was a great story idea with humans and angels. I loved this story. It is a love story between two guardians – as in guardian angels. It gives the idea of how the angels become guardians and extremely detailed. These two characters have some baggage to work through, but it is a great read. The narrators were fantastic. They helped get me into this story easily. I recommend it! Can’t wait to see what this author has coming up next.

Becoming Human by Amy Michelle Carpenter – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Becoming HumanBecoming Human by Amy Michelle Carpenter
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first book by Amy Michelle Carpenter. I normally don’t read too many books that involve aliens. That being said, this was an excellent book! I loved all of the characters. Carter is our human main character, he’s a sweet boy who is very helpful. Kokab is a foxian (alien) and wants to be perfect on her planet. She’s chosen to go to Earth and see if it’s a good place for her planet to come visit. Ags is from a different planet that produces guardians to keep other planets safe. Ags is the guardian of Earth and will do anything to protect it. It’s a great read and one I couldn’t put down.

Run to the Sea (Reigning Hearts Book One) AUDIO BOOK by KG Fletcher – Review by Meg Tyrrell

I’m a fan of KG Fletcher. Every book I’ve read has been awesome. This audiobook was no different. The female narrator did a wonderful job at pulling you into the story. I’ve read this e-book before and it was great, but listening to it was wonderful. I loved the picture painted by the words I listened to. These characters are relatable and I can’t get enough of this series. I recommend the Reigning Hearts series AND KG Fletcher!

The Finder of the Lucky Devil (The Lucky Devil Series) AUDIO by Megan Mackie – Review by Meg Tyrrell

I’ve read this e-book, but loved it so much I had to hear the audio version. It was INCREDIBLE! The performance of the female and male characters were amazing and added to this story so much more. I loved everything about this and am such a fan of Megan Mackie. I’m so glad I listened to this audiobook because it gave me a different perspective than just reading it. Yes, I’ve “read” this book twice now, but SO WORTH IT. Totally recommend this audiobook!

The Nearness of YouThe Nearness of You by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is not a new author for me. I love K.G. Fletcher. This was a sweet love at first sight book. The characters were created well and were easy to follow. I love the way K.G. can throw a story together and everything merges so well. Our main female character is Lauren, who’s a lounge singer in GA. Our main male character is David, a British male model and celebrity. I enjoyed this book, and the steamy scenes in it!

Bake Believe by Cori Cooper – Review by Meg Tyrrell

Bake BelieveBake Believe by Cori Cooper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Cori Cooper. Once I read the synopsis I was hooked. I love reading YA books. There’s just not the same “drama” as an adult book more often than not. If there is, it’s not the same and it’s a wonderful break from life. This book was so adorable. I love our main female character Cat Anderson. She’s your quintessential teenage girl. There are a lot of supporting cast members that make this book for me. Her cousin Robyn is the sweetest. I also read this book out loud with my son’s at bed time. Now we have to bake every recipe in the book! I recommend this book for a great, sweet, magical read.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book I’ve read by Amy McKinley. I love her ability to create a story and characters instantly. This was a very small book, but still packed the emotion I’ve come to recognize from Amy. Our main female character is Nadia. She’s complicated and I don’t want to give too much away. Our main male character is Cade. He’s a sweet man who loves with his whole heart and you can’t help but adore. I do wish this was a bit of a longer story, but I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Fake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office RomanceFake Fiancé: A Second Chance Office Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Amy McKinley. It won’t be my last. I found another favorite author! This book stole me the second I started reading it. I couldn’t put it down. Adeline Rossi is our main female character. She’s a head strong, smart, driven female who knows what she wants in life. Is set in her way of not “ending up like her mom”, and feeling like she missed out on her goals in life. Stone Crenshaw is our main male character and he’s a business tycoon who is a workaholic. They have an interesting meeting. While pretending to be engaged, things start to boil. This is unlike any other “fake fiancé” books I’ve read. Absolutely recommend and can’t wait to find more books by Amy McKinley.

Urban Justice (A Chicago Vigilantes Novel #2)Urban Justice by India Kells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my second book by India Kells and the second installment of the Chicago Vigilantes series. I really liked the first book and couldn’t wait to read this one. Urban Justice didn’t disappoint. Sloane (main female character) is working to make the wrongs in her past right by getting rid of Phantom, a deadly drug taking over the streets of Chicago. Professor Luke Radcliffe, who is a former Marine, is our main male character and he’s got his own set of past situations to deal with. How will these two characters come together and help each other? Read this book and find out. I always say this but read them in order!

This was my first book by Evelyn Sola. This was a sweet book. I liked the main female character Miranda, she definitely likes Christmas decorating more than me but it put me in the Holiday spirit for sure. Nick Bane is our main male character, he has a rocky start but I ended up loving him just as much as Miranda. If you’re looking for a cute holiday book, this is the one to pick up and “unwrap” (I know that was cliché but it’s still true!). After this one, I’m interested to see what else Evelyn has for me to get lost in.

The Bullet Theory by Sonya Jesus is not my first book by this author but is the first book in the Dr. Nolan Mills series. This book was nothing like I’ve read of hers before, yet still awesome! I loved this story so much I couldn’t wait to just keep reading! Our main character in this book is Eleanor. She is a woman who is living day by day with thoughts of revenge. Dr. Nolan Mills is the therapist Eleanor hires. Will he help her? How does he fit in? Read this book to find out all these answers. Can’t wait for the next one!

This is my 3rd book in this series and I’ve loved all three of them. The Devil’s Day is the continuing story of Rune Leveau who is running the Lucky Devil bar that her Aunt Maddie left her and also she is learning how to use her newly found magical powers. Honestly, you have to read these in order. With the way Megan Mackie writes and how well she intertwines everything, you can’t read these as a stand alone and even begin to scratch the surface of this story. Don’t miss out on Megan’s ability to draw in a reader!

The North Wind Descends is the 4th book in this series. This was a wonderfully written story that is full of tantalizing situations and uncertainty. I’ve enjoyed every Lord Hani story so far and this one didn’t disappoint. Along with the other 3, this book has great Egyptian history and details. I don’t think it’s necessary to read these in order but I would recommend it. N.L. Holmes has a great way of story building, don’t miss out on this series.

The Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink AUDIO TOUR – Review by Meg Tyrrell

The Sound of SilenceThe Sound of Silence by Dakota Willink
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was my first book by Dakota Willink. I loved listening to the audio book specifically because of the different voice actors that made the story come alive. They had a female for our main female character Gia. Then for Ethan and Derek they had male voices. It was a great way to show separation of characters and they really did a great job of showing each character’s personality. This story had some heartbreaking moments and some moments where you just wanted to say ‘YASS GIRL!’. **If you have triggers to rape please be aware there are situations in this book**
