Isabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail-Order Brides SeriesIsabella Bride of Ohio: American Mail-Order Brides Series by Debra Parmley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very enjoyable book. It was a sweet story of a woman’s journey to make her way in America. She never thought of being a mail order bride but her situation was pushing her in that direction. What kind of man would she find in Ohio? What would the journey to her new life bring her?

Levi (The Brothers of Creekside Ranch Book 1) by Edith Mackenzie review by Michelle Collier

LeviLevi by Edith Mackenzie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 1 of The Brothers if Creekside Ranch is fabulous. I enjoyed immersing myself in this ranch and this little family. Triplet brothers raising their sister after the recent passing of their parents. Levi, former Navy Seal, brings Bella to the ranch to protect her at the request of one of his Seal buddies. Neither Levi nor Bella know what they are in for when they get there. This story is compelling and the descriptions made it all come to life in my mind. I can’t wait to continue this journey with this family.

The Cave of Ruin Arsa (The Cross of Ciaran Book 3)The Cave of Ruin Arsa by Andrea Matthews
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is book 3 in the Cross of Ciaran. I have so enjoyed this series and this book did not disappoint. The continued saga of Caitlin and Ciaran is such a compelling story. Caitlin is carrying twins from her 1500 year old husband and back in America. Aodhan and Niamh are trying to move forward as well. After the battle with Bradaigh, everyone is ready for life to get to normal. Is that even possible? When you are dealing with ancient priests from the 5th century, what is normal? Will more secrets come out?

Body Checked (Astoria Bay Thunder #2)Body Checked by C.J. Cartwright
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Astoria Bay Thunder Series and it is as good if not better than the first one. I love that this book takes place during the same time frame as the first book but you get to see so much more of what was going on. Tia seems so outrageous but there is so much more there than anyone realizes. Bridger has always been a bit of a bad boy until this last candle puts his job in jeopardy. Will Tia and Bridger bring the best or the worst out in each other? What happens when all the secrets come out? You might keep a fire extinguisher handy cause the chemistry between these two might set the pages on fire.

Devil’s Breath by Lang Johnson – Review by Michelle Collier

Devil's BreathDevil’s Breath by Lang Johnson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The debut novel for this author is amazing. I am definitely now a fan. Sera is an assassin, amongst other things, and very good at what she does. Her next mark, Cassius, is not like any one she has ever met. These characters come right off the page, and not just the main characters. The supporting characters were just as well developed. I was so lost in the pages that it was easy to forget the world around me. The story was suspenseful and sexy. I cannot wait to see what this author has in store for us in the future.

Distant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book TwoDistant Memories: A Nurse Morgan Series: Book Two by Kate MacInnis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Nurse Morgan series and let me just say it was as good if not better than the first book. I just absolutely love Morgan. She is such a determined person and yet she is so unsure of herself when it comes to relationships. I love that she is such an imperfect person with her messy eating and insecurities. Caleb is so patient with her and tries to do anything to assist her. Every character in this book is so well developed. You can actually feel the flow of how a hospital works. The relationships between the living and the dead are so complex and wonderful to read about.

Burned by Fire (Firehouse 13 Book 4) by Danielle Jacks – Review by Michelle Collier

Burned by Fire (Firehouse 13, #4)Burned by Fire by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the only book in the Firehouse 13 series that I have read and all I can say is that I need to run, not walk to get the first 3 books in this series! Solomon Fox is a local hero to everyone except himself. Yes he saved 2 kids that will be able to live their life, but it cost him his career. Now what is he supposed to do? His body has healed from the burns but his mind has not. Ember is 11 years younger than Sol and is still working at the firehouse he retired from. She has held Sol in a special place for a while. He was an inspiration to her as well as her mentor in the department. She sees him struggle. Can she help him in finding where he belongs since he can no longer be a firefighter?

Caging Grace (Grace Series Book 1) by Carsen Lane – Review by Michelle Collier

Caging Grace (Grace Series, #1).Caging Grace (Grace Series, #1). by Carsen Lane
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by this author, and I can promise you it will not be the last. Caging Grace was so amazing. The characters are all their own form of broken. Seeing how they have survived and how they are moving forward in their lives was a true pleasure. Grace is so strong yet so lost in a lot of ways. The journey she is on is enough to send most people running for the hills or at least looking for the easy way out. For Grace that is not an option. I love this story so much and can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Tickety Tock: Wicked Warriors MC Arizona ChapterTickety Tock: Wicked Warriors MC Arizona Chapter by Manda Mellett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow such a great book. I have not found a book from this author that I have not enjoyed, but this one was different from your typical MC book. Dwarf is not the typical MC member. As his name implies he is not as tall as the other members but what he does not have in height he makes up for in heart. Raven has a childhood that is better left in the past. When her past starts to haunt her quite literally it seems, can Dwarf and his buddies help her to figure out what is going on? Can Dwarf and Raven heal the hurts from the past in each other?

Ancient Reflections: A Mythic TrilogyAncient Reflections: A Mythic Trilogy by Tamara Agha-Jaffar
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I absolutely love this book. To tell the myths that we have all heard before but from the women’s viewpoint. I am always one to think on the motivations of the characters as I read so this was right up my alley. You get the story of Demeter and Persephone, the story of Odyssseus’ return from Troy, and the story of Gilgamesh a Mesopotamian hero. If you enjoy mythology this is definitely a book you should check out. You will not be disappointed.

Collateral Damage (Mafia Elite Series Book 6) by Amy McKinley – Review by Michelle Collier

Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance (Mafia Elite Book 6)Collateral Damage: A Second Chance Mafia Romance by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Usually after the first few in a series the freshness is lost. Not so with the Mafia Elite series. This is book 6 and is just as wonderful as the first 5. I just can’t seem to get enough of these books, these amazing characters, and the world that has been created for our enjoyment. Trey, the doctor they call on when any one is hurt, has been hurt in the past. He lost the woman he cared for. Hailey had been used and burned. She didn’t trust easily. The first time Trey and Hailey met there was definitely something there. When they meet again under very different circumstances what will happen? Can either of them get around the walls that have been built by the other? This book was full of twists and turns and defiant surprises along the way.

The True Purpose of Vines (The Winemakers Book 1) by Giovanna Siniscalchi – Review by Michelle Collier

The True Purpose of VinesThe True Purpose of Vines by Giovanna Siniscalchi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Love this story. So beautiful. It has all the love and romance you could want, but add in history and wine to make this book truly unique. The story is set in Portugal, where a widowed mother is a winemaker in a time where women were not involved in such things. Julia is an awesome character who has her own mind and does things her own way. Griffin is only doing what he needs to do to get his family’s good name back. The growing attraction between them is not anything that either was looking for, but how will they handle it. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blood & Ravens is the first book in The Casket Girls series. I love it so much. Greer is so strong and determined. She has a way about her that just seems to draw you in. Theron is not all that he seems at first look. He is acting out of character and he is not sure why. He is being pulled towards Greer. This world that the author has built is wonderful. New Orleans and all of its charm. A variety of characters that are well thought out and interesting. I definitely can’t wait for the next book in this series!

I absolutely love this take on lycans. This book is the first in The Lycanthropy Files series and I can’t wait to dig into the next book! I love the scientific take of this. Jane’s world is turned upside down by a fire at work and losing her job. Then her grandfather leaves her his estate and she goes there to find her footing again only to be entangled in mystery. This intriguing book was full of twists and turns and left me wanting more.

This book was amazing. I could not put it down. Sam and Layla are not two people that should ever be together. Sam is a Vampire. Layla is a vampire hunter from a long line of vampire hunters. Yet even knowing that the attraction is there. They are drawn to each other. It is an attraction they can’t seem to escape. The characters are so great. I can’t wait to read more. I mean I really can’t wait! When the book ended I was so sad that there was no more to read!

Now she needs to make sure that her family’s bakery survives the competition. Then she meets the competition. Graham is the owner of the new coffee shop. How can you not love the Titans of Manhattan? They are so sexy and so unobtainable. Mason was not looking for anything because he had it all. Besides being a Titan, he was also the owner of some of the hottest clubs across the country. He didn’t know what hit him when he met Rhyann. She was just trying to work her way through dance school. Mason was not what she needed, but it was what she wanted. I love the chemistry between these two. I loved this as much as I have loved all the other books in this series.

The characters in this book are complex and intriguing. Every time I think I am starting to see where the book is going, I get surprised. I love when a book is not predictable. Grace needs another place to live and Ian is looking for a roommate. What could go wrong…or maybe right. Grace and Ian both have their own baggage to deal with. Can they see their way through at the things that could keep them apart? I absolutely loved this book. I lost sleep reading this book. I regret nothing.

There are multiple gentlemen vying for her attention. Who will win her heart? Will Faith be able to overcome the obstacles in her path? She will have to stand on her faith to find all that is in store for her.
