I loved this book. Just the title of this book pulled me in, but let me tell you it was more than I hoped. There was a cute meet, misunderstandings, friends, family, and insta-love. Lisa and Ryan are perfect. The whole cast of characters is just wonderful. The only thing that I am upset about is that I have to wait a month before the next one comes out. If you love Rom Coms this book is for you.

Devlin by Angela K. Parker – Review by Michelle Collier

DevlinDevlin by Angela K. Parker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This forbidden office romance was so good. Devlin is cocky and the last person Eve would consider dating. Eve is someone Devlin can’t get involved with even if he wanted a relationship, which he doesn’t. They can’t deny the desire they feel. There are definitely twists and turns I didn’t see coming in this book. I just could seem to put it down.

I just loved this book! Georgia and Hudson are as different as the dog and cat they respectively own. This rom com had me in stitches at their antics. Both main characters are stubborn and unwilling to admit what is right in front of them. The online chats were perfect and so realistic. I can’t wait to tear into the next book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Although this is the 4th book in the True Platinum Series, this is the first one I have read. It totally worked as a standalone. Jared and Ella are so different. Their constant fighting on the tour is noticed by everyone. So when the two of them get snowed in together no one is sure if either will come out alive. Can they survive each other? Will they get to the true bottom of their problems? I just loved this story. It was very raw and open. I could not put it down.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 2nd book in the Houston After Dark series, while I have not read the first book I didn’t really feel like I was missing anything. Callie has had a crush on her brother’s best friend, Noah, for years. He only sees her that way, or so she thought. Noah is starting to realize he wants Callie even though he shouldn’t. Will he give into temptation or will he allow his past to dictate his future? I will most definitely be reading the rest of this series. Warning for glasses wearing folks, the steamy nature of this book might fog up those glasses. You have been warned.

This 2 in 1 book is so cute. Both books are about 2 friends, Conifer and Spike. These 2 stories were both about how together friends can face difficult or scary things. I loved how in each book the one struggling was different, showing kids that sometimes we need to help our friends and sometimes we need to let them help us. My grandkids adore dinosaurs and I can’t wait to read this to them.

Ok first I will say that going on a blind date in a completely dark restaurant is odd but kind of intriguing at the same time. This book was great. Jake wants to find someone to love him for him, not his money. Lauren is always working with no social life to speak of. Their friends set them up on a blind date at the blind date restaurant. When Lauren finds out that her date is her boss’s friend whom she has met previously she is concerned. The last thing she wants is to seem like a gold digger. Will they hit it off? Will he give her a chance knowing she is just an assistant? I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Kristopher Simon was the Titan that had it all or so it seems. His marriage was basically over so all he has is his kids and his career. He was ready to dine with this marriage after all his wife had put him through. Then he met Alessia Johnston at a medical convention. He would be her boss so he knew he should stay away. He couldn’t resist her any more than she could resist him. Things begin to spiral and it seems like they will never find their way to each other. I loved this book. have loved this series so much. I never knew how much I needed the Mafia in my life until these books. Mia is a New York mob boss’s daughter who just wants out. Not of the mafia just from away from her family. Safe. For that to happen she needs protection. Nico is fine on his own, or at least he thought he was. Mia is a force all her own and she wants Nico. Will he take her up on her offer? I am so sad that this series is over. I see me rereading them in the future!
