Fireflies (The Physical Collection)Fireflies by A.R. Hadley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mike and Dane have been together for awhile but there is more that they want in their relationship. They want a woman, but not just any woman. One that can join them and create a family with children. This is the story of their search for that elusive woman. This was a thought provoking story of a poly relationship where a family can be whatever the people in the relationship find works for them. Very spicy and descriptive.

This was an enchanting story of a woman torn from her life to marry a stranger. Cressida and Caravahl’s story is one of discovery and danger. I loved the way this story unfolds. As the mystery of the land begins to unfold, so do the feelings they feel for each other. I was on the edge of my seat throughout this tale.

This is the 3rd book in the Bluestone Series. Finally we get Ivy’s story. When she finds herself about to lose her ranch, she will do almost anything to save it. Ace, a retired, wounded Marine, steps in to help by pretending to be her fiancé because some of her sexist clients only wanted to deal with a man. Can she resist the pull she feels toward Ace? Can he open up to let her in? These chapters are so beautiful. The Bluestone world is such a great place to visit where you just feel right at home.

This is the 5th book in The Balefire Series, but the first one that I have read. Man I was seriously missing out! This book was so good. The characters have so many facets that you just can’t help but be pulled along for the ride. Garrett and Olivia both chose their career over being together 10 years ago. Now when their careers bring them face to face again will the old flame reignite? Ok now I am off to read the first 4 books in this series cause I totally need more of this world.

This is book 3 in the Sicilian Gods Series and man oh man it is so good. The whole series is wonderful. The continuing saga of the Larussio Crime family is captivating. I love retellings of fairy tales, especially when it is a take I have yet to see. This is a wonderful Cinderella story set in the 1800’s. You get all those normal things like the slipper and wicked stepmother, but there is just so much more to this story. Ellie is under a curse that hides her true identity from the world. Can she figure out how to break it? Who holds the key to her heart?

Amy's RebellionAmy’s Rebellion by Julia Goldhirsh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Gemstone Massacre Series. This series is definitely off to a great start. Amy is on the run, always looking over her shoulder, always afraid of what she did and what she caused. Once she knows that she will have to run again she decides now is the time to stop and fight. I enjoyed the characters so much. The way they interact felt so natural. This is a slow burn enemies to lovers romance. I found the incorporation of the LGBTQ+ representation was well done. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

This is the first book in The Stella Maris Series. Wow, this book had me right from the beginning, The characters are great and their banter was wonderful. Kaela has the healing power of light that puts her in danger. First Terran and then Seth try to protect her. Terran and Seth may both want to protect Kaela but they do not trust each other. This book is quick paced and engaging. Even with the intrigue and drama it was easy to follow along with the story. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Who is Riley’s father? Will Riley and her mom run again like they always do? Can they ever be safe? I can’t wait to continue this series.

NonVerbalNonVerbal by Molly Zenk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As the mother of several teenagers, I know the struggles they have everyday. In this book you see those teen struggles from the point of view of Emerson, who has autism and is non-verbal. I have seen non-verbal individuals and had no understanding of what they were going through. This book I feel gave me a glimpse of the complexities that are going on in a person’s mind even if they can not express it to the world.

Warning – might cause spontaneous combustion. This trilogy is well named with sinful delights. No one is innocent. It is a super quick read but very descriptive. When all the little temptations build up it seems that Richard and Alice can’t help indulge in them.

I was not prepared for this book. It took me through a whole gamut of emotions. Peter and Rowena have history, but no one could have anticipated what happens when they meet again at a rural Montana hospital after his mission goes off the rails. I was completely taken with this book. It has everything you need, laughter, tears, intrigue and even some of the unknown.

I absolutely love the Celtic mythology in this series. Delaney and Baz’s story is so intriguing. She is a Talisman but she is also a warrior. Baz was 3 years past his 28th birthday so he became a rogue. When these 2 find each other and realize that she is his talisman, things get really interesting. Will he choose to stay a rogue or will he choose to become a warrior again? His choice will affect not only himself and Delaney but all rogues.

This was a wonderful reimagining of the Romanov family. Instead of just one daughter that escapes death, there are 4 daughters. They are all so very different from each other and out in the world alone. Olga, oldest sister, sets out to stop a book from being published that would destroy her mother’s name as well as any prospect the 4 girls have of ever being able to live a life out of hiding. She is not prepared for where this journey will lead her. This story has wonderful characters that you just can’t help but want to get to know. I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

This book is totally keeping me on the edge of my seat. You know when you are getting close to the end of the book and you realize there is no way everything can be wrapped up in the amount of book left, yep that happened. The tension between Riley and Cole is so thick. They hate each other, but they can’t seem to get past the attraction. Who will be able to discover the truth first about what is really going on?

This is the prequel to the Hidden Valley Elite Series. This was a super quick read that was full of so very much. Riley was used to change, so moving to a new town right before her junior year was just what she had come to expect from her life. Things didn’t seem normal though in this new place. Then she met Cole. She knew that she would not be here long enough to get to know him but a girl could dream. Would this time be different and she would actually be able to stay? Would her or Cole’s life ever be the same after this summer?

Ok so I thought that the first book in this series was great, but the 2nd book is amazing. Brandon and Callie’s story was so wonderful. This is the best kind of friends to lovers/2nd chance type romance. The twists and turns of the story kept the pages turning and the characters kept me completely engrossed in this story. I am definitely a fan at this point. I cannot wait for the next installment of this series!

This is the first book in The Club Kings Series and wow it is hot! Brooklyn has a lot in her past that makes her not trust easily. She is just lucky to be alive after all that she has been through. When she meets The 4 Knights they are very much her knights in, well not shining armor but in well made suits. This is a why choose romance and I can see where it would be hard to choose between these 4 men. I can’t wait to read the next book to see what happens next.

Shameless Love (The Bennetts of Langston Falls, #2)Shameless Love by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is not my first book by this author but this is my first book in this series. The Bennett of Langston Falls looks to be a great series. Lots of family love and great characters. Walter has moved into his own home and the sweetest part is the revenge he got by acquiring the house and property. Elyse is from Atlanta and works in the movie industry. These two are very opposite but may be just what the other needs. I definitely enjoyed getting to know the Bennett’s and can’t wait to read more about the whole family.

So this is the first book I have read by this author and this is the type of book I dream about. Great characters, a story that keeps me turning the pages, and a world that I just can’t get enough of. Lucky for me I can go back and read about the first generation of the Hawke family. But back to this amazing book. When Issac and Jack met five years earlier, they never knew what would come that weekend. Now here they are trying to keep Jack and her daughter safe from threats made to her parents. Can Issac keep them safe? Can he get her to stay if he can?
