To be a Fae Rogue (Realm Chronicles Series) by Tricia Copeland – Review by Michelle Marlow

To be a Fae Rogue (Realm Chronicles Book 4)To be a Fae Rogue by Tricia Copeland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is book 4 in this series. You need to read them in order for the story to make sense. I truly love this series and am always eager to read more by this author. Tatiana is trying to remain hidden while everything is happening but this is testing her patience. Once again you could feel yourself really feeling with the characters, something I always love about this author’s writing. I cannot wait for the next but also am terrified (excitedly) how it will end.

Midnight Falls by John Evans – Review by Michelle Marlow

Please make sure you read trigger warnings or look into trigger warnings. Your mental wellbeing is more important. As the cover says small town, and small town indeed. We have all driven through a small town in which we do not feel welcome. This is that story. This story is almost 400 pages as well. It kept my attention and made you physically tense. It also made me turn the light on that stands next to my bed.

Driving into the Night by Amanda Kay – Review by Michelle Marlow

Driving into the NightDriving into the Night by Amanda Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Looking at the cover I thought this was going to be more horror than what it was. It is very quick and easy read just under 200 pages. We have Kenai and Mikael who have fought this attraction for each other. It is a fantasy romance of two teens who fight the attraction because their families have a distaste for each other. You can see where this could go into another book.

Dark is the Wood (Enchanted Tales with Dragon Scales Series) by Kristin Ward – Review by Michelle Marlow

Dark is the Wood: A Young Adult Fantasy RomanceDark is the Wood: A Young Adult Fantasy Romance by Kristin Ward
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book was fun young adult fantasy. I always tend to lean towards YA fantasy when I am feeling down in life and this hit the spot for that. We start the journey as Gilligan goes to try and find a way to remedy her brother. A true enemy to lovers. Also a true YA not like some where it leans more heavily on the adult part.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Please please please heed the trigger warnings. This book hit so close to home for me. This story is full of emotions and turmoil as Noah and Bijou navigate what is and is not okay in the moment. As Bijou is navigating life after her husband has passed and how to be a mother at the same time, is something that hit me so hard. I had to take couple times and set this down and come back. However, this makes me want to read the rest of this series.

The minute I found that this was a rockstar romance, I was ready to jump in. Please as always make sure you check trigger warnings. Your mental health is important to you and to those around you. After finishing I realized that this is a prequel. Which I truly do not mind. It actually makes me more excited to read the others in this. We see each band member and the way they work with each other and against. This was a fun read for sure.

Finding Love (Clumsy Little Hearts Trilogy Book 2)Finding Love by Julie Navickas
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When we start this story in the trilogy, we are met with Rachel and Miguel. I am falling in love with this author’s writing. Her characters really make you feel with them. Relating with Rachel was refreshing because we have all had those relationships and what not where we feel stuck but know it is not the end. I cannot wait for the next story in this trilogy.

As you start this series you are met with Tess and Ryan. Upon further looking into this author I found out that this is actually a spin off of another series that they have written. I am a sucker for small town romances. This was so fun to read and the characters’ chemistry was well written in all aspects. You get to experience the ups and downs with both Tess and Ryan. This had me ready to dive into the next as soon as I got the chance.

In the Midst of Omens (The Legacy of Gilgamesh Series) by Nicole Bailey – Review by Michelle Marlow

In the Midst of Omens (The Legacy of Gilgamesh Book 1)In the Midst of Omens by Nicole Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I decided to pick this book up because of the college course I took on Mythology. This is my first read from this author but is not my last. I will say that I liked how this was written more so than the actual Epic of Gilgamesh. Only because dang was that hard for me to comprehend. The difference between the two is wonderful and to see it written as more of the male to male romance you assume when reading the original is breathtaking.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As always with any book, but particularly books that deal with this type of content, check trigger warnings. Your mental well-being is much more important. This is a collection of eight short stories on phobias. It was fun a quick little read. It is under 200 pages and the author does a good job on making you feel uncomfortable and go ick. But ick in a good way. I do not want to ruin anything for another reader but I will say the last story is my favorite.

This book touched so close to home for me right now. We have two main characters Hailey and Loch, both who are dealing with a huge tragic loss of their own. The emotions that this made me feel. They are so very worth it. Please if you want to feel give this a story a try.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh what an origin story. I have loved this world since Magic Price. This author never fails to pull you in with their world building. It gives you a much bigger look into the character builds and back stories. And this is the first fantasy series I read with a male lead character. And it does not disappoint.

My own fault I didn’t realize it was part of a series and I wish I would of read the others first but that’s okay! That did not take away from the fact that I still loved this story. I love everything that I have read from this author so far and this was no different. Also, paranormal romance sign me up.

Please if you are not one that can do very detailed fantasy you may need to take notes with this one. It is a very lengthy read. Which to me is no problem, as I have read many a lengthy book. This did take me alot to make sure I could keep up with the characters but the world building was wonderful and kept me enthralled.

Make sure you have read the first book and honestly the prequel will help too. This is a wonderful witty sci fi series. I truly love being immersed in this world. It is also a fairly quick read as well. Seeing Xenobia and her growth from the prequel to now, I loved it.

I am so glad I have found this series. Also, you do not have to read the prequel but I highly recommend it. Xenobia is one warrior of an alien. I truly love the multiple points of view in this book and cannot wait to get to the second one. If you like adventure and SciFi definitely try this series out.

This was a super quick 30 page read. But did those 30 pages pack a freaking emotional punch. I can’t say too much without spoiling however, I loved that we were shown Xenobia and given the small inkling that she is something more.

Going into this book I wish I would of read the others. I know it says standalone but I feel like I would of benefited from reading the ones before it. However that being said this was an action packed paranormal Romance. I am a sucker for anything vamp related. We have Master Botonsoni and we are in the middle of a fight with rogue vamps. Who is helped along by Catina and her ability. I plan on starting this series from the start.

This is absolutely a world-building-heavy fantasy book. I really appreciated the break down of the terms in the beginning of the book though! It definitely went back and looked at them to make sure I was understanding fully. We have our leading woman fae, Lannahi, who has been betrayed by someone she trusted. And now she must fight to survive. And fight she does.

The Alien & the Crime Boss by Naomi Valkyrie – Review by Michelle Marlow

The Alien & the Crime BossThe Alien & the Crime Boss by Naomi Valkyrie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very quick little novella. We have Kasper, who is the crime boss of this novella. He believes that he is righting the wrongs of the past. On his run away from the massive move he has just made he is met with Leilphun. Who claims to be an alien from another planet. As if his purple skin wasn’t enough of a giveaway to that. He fled his planet as to not fight in the arena that many of his kin have died in. And together they have the power to fix the wrongs that Kasper is trying to move along. This was a super quick read. I got a little confused at the pacing but was able to put myself back on track pretty quickly. It was cute MM Romance as well.

Please please read reviews for content warnings. There are some very sensitive topics that need to be noted. This was a good story, although not a favorite. I did enjoy these characters and story building. I wanted more I think out of this but that could just be a me problem. However, Kate and Noah did have good chemistry between the two of them and that did keep me going throughout this story.
