TanglesTangles by Sharleen Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tangles by Sharleen Scott was such a deep read. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I felt the pull of the story right at the beginning. The way that the story is written just grabs you and takes you on a wild ride. I felt my heart ache for Logan as he goes on this mission of understanding his history. There was a book I recently read that made me want to spend more time with my family and ask more questions and this book just solidified that feeling for me all over again.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Discovery (The Orphan Train Saga Book 1) by Sherry Burton was a super emotional read. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I was hooked from the second chapter and could not put it down. Cindy’s journey to discover actually had me wanting to call up my parents and just spend a ton of time figuring out their history. Sherry Burton did a great job of making me feel connected to the story and I really felt like I was going on a journey of discovery myself. The storytelling was phenomenal.

This review is for Sugar and Spice by Phoebe Alexander. I have to give this book a five out of five stars. The story focuses on Jolie and Marcus. Jolie is a strong independent woman that is used to being in control. Her life requires her to be in control and running into Marcus tests that. Marcus has his own motives but when he runs into Jolie his path is questioned. I had a hard time putting this book down it was so detailed and I just felt drawn to these two characters. I feel the need to read more books by Phoebe Alexander.

Shattered (The Torzial Affair Book 1)Shattered by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shattered by Via Mari was a steamy quick read. I would give this book a five out of five. A brief warning, it does reference a different series but it is separate from it. I was a little confused at parts but as I continued to read the past made sense. This is a steamy read and surprisingly wholesome. I know it sounds contradictory but without going into too many details there is a sense of honor. I loved Jenny’s character she is strong, but vulnerable. Not a cry baby, has very distinct wants and knows how to ask for them. Brian from the outside is your standard billionaire bad boy but as the story continues, you start to get the bigger picture about him.

Love Me, Dreamy by Laura Burton was a different type of fantasy read. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I felt really lost at why Amelia seemed so confused all the time. I could relate to her personality, very proper and organized in life. I felt confused right along with her and could not wait to get more information. I really loved Toby’s character. Amelia’s description made him sound like a breath of fresh air to her everyday life. The adventure they started was thrilling and I enjoyed the suspense.

Orion’s Kiss by Claire Luana was a fun quick mythological read. I would read this book 5 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed reading Meriah’s point of view, the descriptions and flashbacks are really well written. Meriah has an idea on how to end the curse, it ends up backfiring in a way she did not expect. There may be a way to stop reliving the horrible curse, it just involves more people and a point of view she did not have before.

Michael’s Heart by Lori Harrington was a great emotional read. I would give this book a 4 out of 5 stars. I loved the character development and the theme that played a huge part throughout the story. I felt Colbie’s love and her challenges really resonated with my core. I loved the message of love and how powerful our craft, in Colbie’s case music, can be in making sure we are living our best life. The pace was very mellow and the story told thoroughly. While my impatient nature would have loved to rush through everything. I believe that Lori did exactly what these characters needed to be fully developed.

Proper Irish (Jaded Lily #1)Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Proper Irish by Zeia Jameson is a great quick read! This book is a total 5 out of 5 stars. I wish I had read this lying on the beach! You jump right into Stella’s life as an event planner and immediately find out that she is good at her job and has great intentions. She is kind and has proper manners, at least until Padraig comes into her life. Her fire shines and her confidence soars during her interactions with him. Padraig’s character comes of super standoffish and intimidating but something keeps pulling Stella back. I really enjoyed the flow of this book, it took me on a journey of a brief period of time in Stella’s life. I loved that the history and descriptions were brief but efficient enough to build a world. I loved Padraig’s character, the development and confidence was a breath of fresh air. He looks like your typical alpha but has a depth to him that is unexpected.
