Hang On To Your Shirt Tails (Chasing Tails Book 2) by C.A. King was a great continuation on this well created world. I would give this book a five out of five stars. The fight is not over and as Brodie and Tails continue to struggle in a world that hates them you can really see that. I have read a few books by CA King now and something she does so well is weave life lessons into her stories in dark and beautiful ways. This was a great quick read and I cannot wait to see what happens next!

Supernatural Love Stories in the Absurd: Four Book Collection by Gwyn McNamee writing as D.P. Payne was a completely unexpected read. I would definitely give this series a four out of five stars. There are four different stories in this book and each one less expected than than the last. The consistency in the tone and steam factor definitely keep you turning pages. The tone comes off as redemption and the plot centers on learning and growing. The steam factor is off the scale, if you are looking for a hot read here they are!

Matt’s Swirly World: Children’s Book by Madeleine Matthews was a cute and quick read with my son. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. It was well illustrated and it was a book I could see myself pulling out again and again. My son loved to look at the pictures and help me scroll and count. While at 1.5 years old he will not get the lesson, I hope over time he will learn to see new drops of wisdom.

Run from Love (Bowser Belles Book 2) by Teddy Cat Hester was a super romantic read. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I enjoyed the writing style and found myself reading page after page. I had my cringe reactions where I might as well have been reading between my fingers. I mean that in the best way possible. I love when a romance can get that kind of reaction out of me it means the characters are relatable. I liked Scarlett and Nick’s story, they had a good dynamic. I loved that Scarlett has an up front and honest personality. Nick kind of rubbed me the wrong way but I did warm up to him eventually.

After reading the second book I just had to jump in and see what else could happen in this universe. I have to say this book took me on a journey I did not expect and I could not put the book down. I did not expect to feel as much as I did for these two characters. I enjoyed the plot immensely and I feel like I would be rereading this book multiple times in the future.

I found Ashley so relatable as a character. Running away, fiercely independent, and over the small town gossip. Jennings has a lot on his plate and his feelings for Ashley are starting to come to the surface. I loved all the twists and turns and could not put this book down.

Higher Elevation Series: Books 1-3 by Renee Regent was a very mysterious supernatural read. I would give this three book series a five out of five stars. I found myself starting this series without knowing anything about the series or the author. I was very shortly hooked on the characters, the plot, and the pacing of the story. I loved the variety of characters and their individual stories. Throughout the three book series you meet a lot of people and they are so unique that you can easily separate one voice from another. The story and plot really pull you in, I was in from the first chapter and could not wait to figure out what happened next. The pacing is fantastic and really helped build the story in an addicting. I loved the book set because it made it so easy to just start the next part without having to wait.

I loved Carrie’s point of view, it was relevant and added to the plot. Carrie was a beautiful romantic character and I instantly loved her. Chase was arrogant, self centered, and selfish. Chase was beautifully written, I instantly felt like he was not worthy.

Uriel’s story is captivating that keeps you hooked until the end. I love Uriel’s cowboy spirit, he is my favorite so far. I love Bekka’s love for music, her personality made the story so much better. Her draw to the supernatural is so relateable.

I would give this book a four out of five. As a gamer I enjoyed the details and felt the story resonated. I would never want to be sent to this prison. Seph’s nostalgia was relatable and I loved reading his point of view. It was a completely new read for me.

Journey Through SpaceTime by James Talisman was a great science fiction read! I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. I love science fiction because of the world building, the unique characters, and the philosophy they teach. James does a great job incorporating all 3 of my wants in Journey Through SpaceTime. The worlds that were presented just blew me away. I loved the variety, it really helped keep all the worlds separate in my head. The characters were well rounded and I loved the varied histories. Lastly, the life lessons were very impactful, especially in light of personal growth and development.

She is a fun character to read just because of how disconnected she is from the current time. She doesn’t let that stop her though, her competitive nature and need to prove herself is so relatable. I loved the air of mystery and being able to put the plot together as I go.

Elemental Fae Academy Book 2 by Lexi C Foss and J.R Thorn was a magical steamy read. I would give this book a 5 out of 5 stars. As the second book in the series this book starts right where the first one ends. I really enjoyed the transition of the different point of views. The plot thickens and you can feel the tension and growth as the story develops. The characters come to life and you really find yourself pulled into the story. I felt the book come alive like a movie behind my eyes; the passion, the plot, and the pace just flowing from chapter to chapter.

Battling Becklett by T Christiansen was a captivating forbidden step brother romance. I would give this book a four out of five stars. I really loved Greer’s character and could relate to her. She has this quiet introversion that is so genuine that she seems to capture everyone’s attention. I found Beckett mildly annoying with his stereotypical jock bad boy. What redeems him is an understanding of what makes such a young man so jadee. I really enjoyed the pace and struggled to put the book down.

Elemental Fae Academy by Lexi Foss and J.R Thorn was a fun paranormal read! I would give this book a four out of five stars. I loved the world building, the authors did a great job creating the world without being overly detailed. The information you find out comes at a good pace as well, which just makes the whole story flow. Claire’s world was rocked based on a dare and her character slowly acclimates to her new reality. I love the idea of a reverse harem and am always looking for one that also has a really good story and this book met that goal.

I really was rooting for her from the first page. I was interested in the back story that was presented, I really liked C.A King’s twist. I enjoy God, Demigod, Angels, and Demons paranormal stories and those characters really came off of the page for this one.

The development was great, I loved the mystery, and the family drama is always a kicker for me. I enjoyed the pace and plot was great too. I really felt stuck in on this journey with Harriet.

I loved how the book started, it really did a great job of building the world and Ember’s character. A lot of mysteries start to pile on and as the reader you find yourself asking the same questions that Ember does. I really struggled to put this book down because of my curiosity surrounding Ember, Rane, and the whole situation we find ourselves in. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Shameless by Sherry Burton was a great extension of the first Orphan Train Saga. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I truly enjoy this series, there is something wonderful about Cindy and Linda reliving all of these stories. I did not know if I would be ready for Tobias’s story when the book started but I found myself hanging onto every word. I had a lot of the same thoughts that Cindy and Linda had as I was reading. The story flows really well and is easy to follow, the hard part is just dealing with the situations. I cannot wait to read the rest of the stories.

Ice Crown by Kay Moody blew me away. I would give this book a five out of five stars. I really struggled to put this book down. The story is told in what I would consider a quick pace. I appreciated the fact that there was just the right amount of detail to build the backstory. Talise was an interesting character built to make you care about what happens next. I enjoyed the plot twists and it felt like the twists and turns just kept coming out of nowhere. I really look forward to the next book in the series to build on the story.

Rafe was an interesting read he did not know what was going on but I loved the humor he brought to the story.
