Two of my favorite things in this book. Historical Smut. That is the best way to describe My Darling Rogue. It starts from the very first page.
Gabriel is the definition of tall, dark and handsome with that possessive attitude that you love in a book boyfriend.
Celia the flirt with her options of suitors, though she has a dark secret that does not stop her from going after what she wants and being a major tease in the best possible way.
The passion between Gabriel and Celia is epic and comes off the pages as genuine, steamy and meant to be. This is the first book in the series but believe me you will be coming back for more. I know I will for sure.

This was a great 5 star read. We do get a slow start but boy it kicks in and we get a great steamy read. Celia is looking for a husband but she’s not sure if anyone will accept her and the secret she carries. She meets Gabriel and they have an instant attraction. Once they share a kiss, Gabriel knows he has to have Celia. Will they be able to get their HEA?
Overall I really enjoyed this read. The author pulls you in with her writing. We get some very steamy scenes. You can feel their attraction come off the pages, I really loved this couple. They both had issues that they were dealing with and I liked how Gabriel helped Celia get past her fears. If you’re looking for a great steamy historical romance this is the series for you and lI ook forward to the next book in the series 1-click and get started today..

Gabriel Rose is the son of a nobleman but was not acknowledged as such. Even so he is able to fit in and is tolerated in all the noble circles and friends with many who were actually born with a title. He also is friends with people on the other side of that coin who make their living in other ways that may or may not be legal. Mr. Rose has had his eye on Lady Celia Buchanan for some time. He feels like his is unworthy of her affections due to the circumstances surrounding who his father may or may not be and doesn’t see the lady possibly being with someone like him. Lady Celia comes from a very different background where she has never had to question one’s birth status, had everything she could ever want or need, and been pampered her whole life. Her mother is trying to find her a suitable husband no matter how much she protests. She has noticed Gabriel watching her from the shadows but seems to have a hard time at first with the feelings he stirs within her. She has secrets that she hopes to remain hidden until she is wed or she may be ruined. Gabriel had already saved her from a couple precarious situations that could have seen her wed to a man she did not want to marry. Will Gabriel be able to win the heart and hand of Lady Buchanana or will he be rebuffed?

After helping her several times, he cannot seem to stay away. Celia needs a husband and Gabriel is afraid that it could never be him. One night, they kiss and he is hooked. How can he ever let her get away? Will they let society norms tell them they can’t be together or will they go against all odds and let love win? Historical romance has never been my jam, I don’t know why. Maybe it’s verbiage, maybe it’s style, I don’t know. I DO know this book made me rethink that idea. THIS historical romance is beautifully written, has great world and character building, lots of chemistry between the main characters and is HOT HOT HOT.
Gabriel is a man on the fringes of society – his father left him a bastard, but he is wealthy thanks to his own smarts, and also best friends with one of THE high level society members. He has his pick from nearly any woman of any status, and he has had his fair share – but the one he WANTS is Lady Celia Buchanan. While he lusts for her, desires her, and dreams of her – he has convinced himself he is not worthy. Therefore, he hangs around, watching her at society events. Imagining how they would spend their time together and the things he would do, if given the chance – while also feeling like he is protecting her.
Lady Celia Buchanan has a secret in her past that she would like to keep hidden – or at least to marry a man who won’t hold it against her. While her mother does her fair share of work to marry off her daughter, Celia is reluctant – until she notices Gabriel watching her. He’s devastatingly handsome, obviously protective, and the things he says to her when they speak…she is interested in the things he could teach her.
While the entire book is them getting to the truth of the matter, how they are perfect for each other and in for an intense, passionate relationship together – you watch them grow together. Lady Celia is a strong female lead who is likable (for most of the book), smart, passionate, and strong. Gabriel is imposing and dominant, but putty in Celia’s hands. He is masculine, passionate, well thought and spoken…they make a wonderful couple and this read definitely shouldnt just be left laying around for anyone to pick up. NSFW but SO GOOD. Just a great, well written book. Enjoy!

This story is cute, sweet and oh so sexy. Set in the 1800’s when society mattered and reputations were important. Celia Buchanan and Gabriel Rose pushed the limits of society and each other. I enjoyed this story. It was easy to read and follow. Both characters had their own angst and past problems to be worked out. Little did they know they would need one another to make their world right.
“She felt…right. It was the only way he could describe it. Right in his world of everything wrong.”
This story includes many sexy scenes and includes dirty words along with consensual adult situations. I would recommend this author and story.

This is the first book in a new series by the author. It’s also the first book that I have read by this author but I’m very sure it won’t be the last. Although I read a LOT of romance, I haven’t read a lot of historical romance but it’s now becoming a genre/trope that I’m loving more and more. Gabriel Rose is the rumoured bastard son of a Marquess. Although technically a commoner, he lives amongst the rich and famous of the Ton due to being a close advisor of Sebastian, an Earl. Here he meets Lady Celia Buchanan, daughter of an Earl. Unable to resist the intense chemistry between themselves. Gabriel and Celia are rushed into marriage after being caught in a compromising position. This story is HOT and steamy. The chemistry between Gabriel and Celia is off the charts. I absolutely loved reading their story. The story is filled with steamy sex scenes, drama and blackmail. I was totally hooked on this story from the very beginning and the author kept me gripped and very entertained throughout. The story flows very well and the characters are well written and relatable. There is also a great cast of secondary characters who add so much to the story. I definitely recommend this book. If you love a steamy historical romance then this book is for you.

Gabriel is 🤌🏽🥵 I swear this man is great at dirty talk. The chemistry between him and Celia is great! He’s so intense and I love it. I also just wanna say that Bryan sucks. That’s all I’ll say about him. But the spice in this book was top notch! A girl loves her erotica and the sex in this book was 100! So so good. But also has a good plot too it as well! So it keeps you interested all around! Page turner for sure. Highly recommend!

You could actually feel not only the timeperiod and language spoken between characters, but you could feel the love blossoming quickly between Lady Celia and Gabriel. The villian in the novel was interesting and his ending was just as daring. Highly recommend if you enjoy historical romance with steamy scenes.

My Darling Rogue is the first book in the A Wicked Rogues Romance series. We have strong, smart, feisty, stubborn Lady Celia and dark, brooding, dangerous, and handsome Gabriel Rose. These two find themselves continuously thrown and drawn together. They keep fighting it though they both seem taken with each other. Very much an “everyone can see it” situation. Although Gabriel is obsessed with Celia he thinks he has no right to vie for her affections because she is a lady and he is a bastard. Then something happens to change all that and these two can finally be together but Celia isn’t sure she can be what Gabriel needs.
I found Celia and Gabriel’s relationship fun but frustrating. They were both so stubborn, sometimes to the point of foolishness. It was nice to see them get their act together. This book was interesting and there was a bit of adventure. Gabriel is awesome as is Celia and I love the relationships they have with their family and friends. The book contains some triggering elements so be aware. It was a very enjoyable book.

My Darling Rogue seemed more like the older romance books that tend to be a guilty pleasure of mine. The book was a little slow to start but turned hot and heavy really quickly and had a modern 50 shades type twist. This is definitely a book for the 18 and up crowd due to male main character’s proclivities. It was wild and kept me engaged once it picked up and it was an enjoyable read. I look forward to picking up more books by this author.

The bastard son of a nobleman, Gabriel Rose has earned himself a place in the ton that can not be disputed. It on the edge thanks to many but, it does not really matter to the women , they see him as a thrill to be had. He has his eye on Lady Cecilia Buchanan. Lady Cecilia comes across as the typical daughter of high society however she has a secret she feels makes her unworthy. Due to this She has managed to avoid her mothers attempts to marry her off. But that avoidance ends with Gabriel. She says no but Gabriel is determined. Will Gabriel’s be enough for him to put in the work to win Cecelia? Will Cecelia be able to open herself to Gabriel , giving him the trust that must exist between a couple? Will Gabriel and Cecelia both get what they want, their own happily ever after?
I really enjoyed reading this story. Watching Cecelia and Gabriel come together and of course all the spice along the way made for an exciting read! I can not wait to see what comes next in this series. Worth the read.

I adore historical romance and this one definitely did not disappoint. This is the first book by this author but I assure you it will not be that last! Lady Celia is looking for something she has yet to find, a man who will be all that she needs and wants and who will look past her secret that could ruin her. Gabriel Rose is a unique man in society. He is a bastard yet he is still accepted. He wants Celia even though he shouldn’t. When his life takes an abrupt turnaround, he is elevated to a marquess, he pursues her. Can he look past her secrets? Gabriel his such a great character. I love how he knows just how to push Celia’s buttons yet would do anything to protect her from anyone, even herself.

This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I wasn’t disappointed. As far as I can gather, this is part of a series, but I honestly couldn’t tell. So this can be read as a standalone. There were a few mentions of past characters and a few past events, but not enough to take away from the story. I am blown away by Gabriel and Celia’s relationship in this beautiful historical romance! This book is full of detailed, steamy scenes that are incredibly written. April Moran certainly knows how to manage to pull you into this story and keep your interest without every sexual encounter being cliché.
Lady Celia is one of the few friends in her circle that has not found a suitor but still feels the need for distractions. Gabriel does not share the same noble upbringing and is caught in between staying in the shadows or admitting he wants more. Both Gabriel and Lady Celia are on the same page about not wanting to marry, but for similar, unspeakable reasons – they are ashamed of their pasts. This was an amazing book. I really couldn’t put the book down. The couple, they seemed like they were not meant for each other, but they start this bonding relationship and they start liking each other. This book starts off with promises of anything a romance is really made of. Lady Celia Buchanan is the daughter of an Earl that is looking for love, understanding and acceptance of her secrets from her past. Gabriel Rose is the bastard son of a nobleman that is drawn to Celia. He wants his woman, he thinks his social status is the way to go to get her. The two in the couple fall for each other, this is the opposites attract type romance and in so many good ways in this book. Their attraction is super strong, they are an alpha and gives his girl the comfort a lady really needs and deserves. April Moran writes a very well start for her series I do recommend this book if you like a very well written romance with all the spicy details.

A wonderful time piece romance with a dark and steamy twist.
Celia Buchanan, a headstrong daughter of high society, with a scarred past pushing shadows onto her future.
Gabriel Rose, a strong man not afraid to play the villain, with a conflicting bloodline.
They know that something exists between them even before their eyes meet. The chemistry is palpable, and all their friends can tell. But they both try and fight their future. But fate has a funny way of making everything happen, one way or another. Together, Celia and Gabriel learn each other’s secrets and pasts, and work together to build a better future for themselves, together.

I love being thrown back in time and through the maze of emotions of Gabriel and Celia. Her feistiness and his domineering personality make for an entertaining read. The things about this book that I loved and kept my eyes glued to it are the detailed love scenes, vibrant personalities, and true passion of these characters. Some parts of this book had me wanting to reach through the pages and strangle them, and that just goes to show how emotionally invested this author makes her readers. I would strongly recommend this author and series to anyone that thinks they can handle the heat on these pages.

Not often do I find myself reading a book that just really checks all of the boxes. This one however, This book checked more boxes than I initially had for what I hope a book is or has. It was so incredibly well written and thought out. I couldn’t have put it down if I’d have tried. It truly captured me and I hung on every word waiting, hoping for what was to come. A new author for me but she blew me away! Was an awesome read that transported me to a different place and time in the best way!!

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. The sexual tension and the angst was amazing. I loved the hero aspect of Gabriel. But also his side of thinking that he wasn’t good enough for anyone let alone Celia.
Also her thinking the same about herself. I just loved their chemistry and honestly Celia’s bratiness. They bounced off each other so playfully and well. I cannot wait to read anything else written by this author. This was just a great time. Review by @michellerenee6590

Wow!! What a read! Historical romance is by far my favourite genre, I just absolutely love being transported back in time and this book as soon as I read the synopsis I couldn’t wait to get started and my gosh it did not disappoint at all! This was definitely one smoking hot story! I think it’s the first I’ve read by this author and I cannot wait to read more by her. The characters were fantastic to read about, Celia and Gabriel has so much chemistry it just oozed off the pages as I was reading – I am definitely a little bit in love with Gabriel! He was hot, possessive and dominating – book boyfriend material!! The authors attention to detail meant that scenery was easy to imagine. Overall it really was a brilliant read and one that I would highly recommend.
