At the risk of sounding like a cougar 🤣🙈 how delectable is this cover 🔥
Riley and Cole are so different yet so similar and that’s what makes them perfect 😉
Riley comes from “ the other side of the tracks” and has to fight to survive and her mother is a case of “ cuckoo flew over the nest “ and Riley doesn’t have it easy ….
Cole comes from “!the right side of the track “ but the grass isn’t always greener that side is it !?
Cole is the boy every girl wants so when their paths ( lip smacking hotness) cross I don’t think either we’re ready for what came next ….
A brilliant taste test teaser of what’s to come 🫶🏼🔥
Another entertaining story about the members of the Balefire rock band. This time it’s Adam Tron’s turn to find love, and he finds it with pop diva Cristy Valor. Cristy is used to creating scandals and headlines, and now she’s joining Balefire on their latest tour. As soon as she steps onto the stage in one of her wild costumes, and he hears her sexy alto voice Adam is hooked. The fact that she can party hard and keep up with him and the rest of the boys also gets his attention, and with their obvious chemistry, it’s not long before Adam wants an actual relationship with Cristy. However, he feels like she’s holding back from him, but he’s determined to be patient. Meanwhile, Cristy is happy flirting with the poster boy for tall, dark and sexy, Adam and the chemistry when they have sex is amazing. When he wants more than just sex, Cristy pulls away, as she has a secret and one which gives her nightmares. Throughout her career she’s prevented the tabloids from looking into her past, and she’s worried that if she opens up to Adam her secret will be discovered. Worse than that she’s worried what Adam will think if he finds out the truth and she doesn’t want to get her heart broken. The chemistry between Adam and Cristy sizzles off the page and leads to some steamy scenes. As usual the author brings the world of Balefire vividly to life, making me feel immersed in the story and engaged with the characters.

This is the second book of the Hidden Valley Elite series; the third if you count the prequel. It is the final part of the Cole and Riley’s story. And even though this is the end of Cole and Riley, the road to get there was not paved smoothly lmao at all but man was it an amazing emotional roller coaster to ride, intense too.Cole is a little butt at times but I’m glad that they got their happily ever after. I can’t wait to read the next one and see who the story will be about and how crazy that their lives get man oh man does this author really does know how to keep me coming back for more. I highly recommend reading these.

WOW. I have enjoyed every book in this series so far, including the prequel, but this one has definitely surpassed the others in my opinion. This is a bully romance and boy does it deliver. All of the drama and angsty feelings from high school come reeling back with a magnificent plot. The chemistry is palpable, and I found myself rooting for things I hadn’t expected! I don’t want to give too much away, but I must stress that this series (especially this book) is absolutely one you should pick up! You won’t want to miss the intense emotions and amazingly deep characters of the Hidden Valley Elite series.

As always check trigger warnings. We continue to follow Cole and Riley. And after the cliffhanger of the last book, I was not disappointed. I truly love the chemistry of these two. And also with the suspense it is just a wonderful time. I am absolutely continuing this series!

Savage Truth (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2) by Isla Vaughn – Review by Jessica Stone
I am ABSOLUTELY in love with the series, I cannot express how pumped I am to read the rest of these, this is easily becoming one of my favorite series.
This is book two in this series and it concludes Cole and Riley’s story, the next book focuses on his younger brother Damon and while I’m excited, I can’t help but feel a bit sad. Now into the characters, I love Cole and his character development over the last two books but this book especially, you get more of a feel about who he is and you get a look into his emotions. Riley, was kinda a pain in my butt at first, she (in a sense) felt slightly entitled to me, she was quick to anger and jump to her own conclusions but I loved watching her character growing up in this book and seeing her relationship with Cole evolve was fun. I loved the push pull of it, the spicy, the force of their attraction and how it became undeniable for them.
What I didn’t see coming because there wasn’t as much in the first book was the action and suspense, holy cow, there was so much more to the story and everything that happened in the past and that all really comes to light in this book. Cole and Riley sucked me in, but the action in this book left me wanting more. I almost can’t explain it without giving the whole book away. Anyways, Isla is a wonderful author, she knows how to build a story and give you just enough to keep you coming back for more. Can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for this series!

Savage Truth is available now in eBook and Physical Book ⭐️⭐️⭐⭐⭐ Book Review
Savage Truth is the second installment of the Hidden Valley Elite series. It is an enemies-to-lovers, dark high school bully romance featuring the conclusion of Cole and Riley’s story. I have been following this series since the prequel and have absolutely fallen in love. The amount of heat, angst, secrets and emotion is top notch. Vaughn is known for her romance books that are full of complex characters, strong alpha males, and fierce women who bring them to their knees. This installment does not let you down in any of those categories. Vaughn’s previous book left you on a cliffhanger. Savage Truth picks up right where it left off, keeping you roped in from the very beginning. I recommend reading this entire series in order so you do not feel confused or miss any detail. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the characters, story line, and plot of this entire series. I would recommend Vaughn as an author to all my reader friends along with this series. I can’t wait to see what else Vaughn has up her sleeve.

Savage Truth is Book Two in the Hidden Valley Elite series. The book carries on with the story from Book One that was filled with drama, anger, hatred, with a bully themed/friends turning to lover’s theme. It centers around the characters of Riley and Cole who both attend Hidden Valley Elite high school. Cole is known as one of the Elites at the school because he is a star of the football team and basically becomes the king of everything he does. He is the type of guy that guys want to be and that girls want to be with. Riley used to attend the school and has just returned after being gone for a year. She never imagined that she would be returning after being on the run with her mom from her mother’s psychotic ex-boyfriend. Riley also never expected to see Cole again after they shared a secret kiss while drunk at a party. Cole has not been able to get Riley out of his mind since then so when he sees her again feelings surface. In typical douchebag, jock, I’m-too-good-for-everyone behavior Cole decides to torment and bully Riley. She stands her ground and pushes back and the two play the cat and mouse game back and forth as they maneuver through their love-hate relationship.
In Book Two the story of Riley and Cole continues, and we are able to see its conclusion. The cat and mouse game between them continues and the chemistry between them grows. Cole realizes that he has intense feelings for Riley that he has been denying. In the past all he cared about were physical relationships but with Riley he feels a deep connection. Riley realizes that she loves Cole and has never felt like this about anyone before. Things heat up when secrets start to come to light about Riley’s mom and the true reasons Cole hates Riley and her mom. When secrets about who Riley’s dad is come to light and Riley’s life may be in danger, Riley must decide if she will run again or have the strength to stay. As the secrets and lies surface and danger looms, it pushes Riley and Cole to make hard decisions. Rather than fight each other they decide to fight for one another and protect one another at all costs.
This storyline may cause triggers to some because of its dark subject matter. As a survivor of bullying in high school it was a bit difficult to read at times. The characters are ones that you will either love or hate. Or in the case of Cole, love to hate at first. In the beginning, he was a bully through and through and had the attitude that he was better than everyone else. Yet, you cannot help but feel that there is more under the surface and must understand that high school is a popularity contest. Cole is used to getting his own way, used to winning, and used to being popular so he could not risk losing all that. Riley is used to living a life in hiding, running from her mom’s ex, and never staying in one place long. She just wants to get through high school and not draw attention to herself. Yet, Riley is not the type of girl to put up with stuff and will stand her ground and push back. She is strong and feisty. Both Riley and Cole developed and matured in this book. We were able to see a softer side of Cole that loved Riley and wanted to protect her from harm. Their love-hate game slowly bloomed into more, but it did not come easily. Great series that will have you reading to the end to find out what happens.

My opponents? They’re the Academy’s football stars, gods among their peers, and I want nothing to do with them.
But I’m stuck on a mission to help out a friend, and keeping my distance shouldn’t be too hard.
That’s when Damon Savage walks in, looking like he stepped out of a magazine, and worse—my friend wants him… and I’m the one who has to play matchmaker.
I’m tangled in a web of lies, and only I can set myself free.
There’s only one problem with my plan… Damon’s determination to bend me to his will and my dark desires to let him.
Brutal Days is an enemies-to-lovers, new adult, high school bully romance with plenty of angst. This book contains mature content that some readers may find disturbing. It is not a standalone and does end in a cliffhanger that continues with a ton of heat and a HEA in Brutal Nights.

The conclusion to Savage Lies is Savage Truth and it is a good story. High-schoolers facing very adult situations about life, love and death.
This story is about Cole and Riley. All the things that bothered them in book one, Savage Lies, come to light in this book. Questions are answered, relationships are formed and life completely changes.
Even though young adult stories aren’t my favorites, this duet is a really good story. This author makes this genre easy to read; this story exciting and easy to follow.
While this is the conclusion to Riley and Cole’s story, there are other characters that have something to say and this author brings us a few more stories in this series.

An amazing read with wonderful character. Tam does a great job of bringing up real-world problems in this book.
This book follows the story of Adam and Cristy. Adam is the bassist for one of the largest rock bands in the world. He has a plethora of women that want him and want even a minute of his time. Cristy is a pop singer that does not do real relationships. Most are ones of convenience that benefit her and the other person.
When Adam’s band asks Cristy to join them on tour a lot happens. Her confidence is alluring and draws him in along with most of the crowds they play for. Adam is steady and helps keep the pace for the band but now this little vixen has started to shake things up.
Can the bad boy rocker catch the eye of the beloved pop star? What happens when you add heat and a long tour? Will past secrets stay hidden or threaten everything for one of them?
Read to find out if they can overcome hurdles or if they are just having fun. This book is steamy so I suggest you have some water to help cool you off.

Savage Truth features the alternating views from Riley and Cole. Cole had erased the fight videos that Riley was using to blackmail him with. Cole wanted Raelyn and Riley gone from his life.. sort of. When Lucas told Cole to not get involved with Riley, Riley teamed up with Cassie to devise a plan to take Cole down. Their plan backfired when Riley couldn’t stop her feelings from growing. Cole and Riley became intimate overnight. When Cole couldn’t find Riley at home, he entered the school gym to discover Riley was at a dive practice. Jealousy caused Cole to start a fight with Jarrett. Subsequently, the following school day, Cole began an argument in class. With a warning from the principal, Cole attempted to make Riley jealous by kissing another girl. At lunch, Cole sees Jarrett and Riley together and another fight ensues. They suspended both of them from school.
The past intensified the tension that builds in the story that Raelyn and Riley were running from. I had an idea about Riley’s uncle being a mobster or someone of high influence. Pulling the cons they did and never being caught isn’t something most people are capable of. I didn’t understand why Cole wanted Riley, but couldn’t admit his feelings for her. When he took her virginity, he played it off like it meant nothing. Riley’s reaction was relatable. There are some loose ends that occur in the conclusion, but I am seriously looking forward to reading more of the series.

The bully romance, enemies to lovers trope gets me Every. Single. Time. It actually took me awhile to really get into this trope. But holy cow, did Riley and Cole’s story just make me crave more and more. This book was the perfect angst, conflicting, mysterious, keep you at the edge of your seat, type of intensity that I love. You definitely want to start at the beginning of the serious to get the whole backstory of these two. Who were drawn to each other so intensely from the get go. I absolutely loved this book! I do need to read the prequel to get the full story. I could not put this book down. Riley and her mom do not stay in the same place for long. Her dad wants to hurt her mom. They move to a town that they stopped at a year ago. On the first day of school, the high school God named Cole starts pestering Riley. Cole cannot forget about Riley. They shared a kiss at a party a year before. When he sees her after all this time, he starts picking on her . He can’t let anyone know that he has feelings for the new girl right off the bat. I’m ready to read book two.

Savage Truth, the second book in The Hidden Valley Elite Series, picks up where Savage Lies ends. The reader learns even more of the truth behind Riley and her mom’s constant moves, more about why Cole hates his dad (and consequently Riley and her mom), and why the whole family is in danger. This book was just as full of emotion, suspense, and twists and turns as the first book and the world building was spot on. I did feel that the ending of this book was a bit rushed and almost too “neat.” I feel like the antagonist and true enemy of this story (Riley’s dad) met justice rather quickly, almost too easily. It felt hasty, like some information was missing along the way. However, I am looking forward to reading more in this series by Isla Vaughn.

Isla Vaughn has taken an enemies to lovers storyline and added suspense, fear, and lots of emotions! I did not read the prequel, Savage Start, but I did not feel as though I needed to in order to connect and understand the characters in Savage Lies. There are so many twists and turns in a relatively short book, but Vaughn’s world building and character development allow for a smooth story that I couldn’t help but be drawn into. I found myself simultaneously rooting for the relationship between Cole and Riley to grow and wanting Riley and her mom to simply move on. There is so much emotion between Riley and Cole and they have such an amazing connection with one another. Thanks to the cliffhanger ending, I now can’t wait for the second book!

Savage Truth is the 2nd book in the Hidden Valley Elite series by Isla Vaughn. I am really enjoying this series so far. This story carries on from book one, where Riley and her mum have moved in with Cole and his family. The tension between Cole and Riley is palpable, they are struggling to stay away from each other but hating each other at the same time. I really enjoyed the tension between the two main characters while they were in public but the truce in the quiet hours which leads them to get to know each other better. I also really enjoyed the suspense of what Riley and her mum are hiding from. I think this was a great enemies to lovers romance. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Savage Truth (Hidden Valley Elite Book 2) by Isla Vaughn. This is the second book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series and its so good. Its the continuation of Riley & Cole’s story and its intense. Its the conclusion of their story and boy is it good. Riley has ever only known running and hiding and she’s always tried to stick to the rules. I have really enjoyed getting to know a little more on Cole and Riley and the suspenseful conclusion (at least for now I hope) . I highly suggest reading the first 2 books before this, the prequel and book 1, as it’s all needed to understand the dynamic and what’s going on in this story.
This like the previous brought the drama, the chemistry and the unexpected. I will not be giving many details as it’s best to read for yourself and I will not be responsible for giving even a tiny spoiler even by accident.
I cannot wait to read about the rest of this bunch (I hope they all get a story) as I would love to see things from others perspective but also how their stories go.

This is the first book that I’ve read from this author and I was not disappointed. I immediately fell in move with this book from the very first chapter. I was not able to put the book down until I had finished it all in one sitting. I was twelve the first time I killed a man. After the war, I was driven to the human world by a vengeful leader. My only chance at survival? Run. With the help of a genderfluid shifter, I learned to hide in plain sight and harness the powers within, but my luck soon ran out. This time, she captured my sister and sent an assassin after me. Running is no longer an option. If I want to live, I have to fight. If you are interested in LGBTQ representation, expansive magic worlds, and enemies-to-lovers romances you’ll love this book. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I have been anxiously awaiting this next book in the Hidden Valley Elite Book Series, and Isla Vaughn has definitely made it worth the wait! Riley and Cole are at each other’s throats right from the beginning, they picked up right where they left off in the last book. It’s like it when you’re watching an amazing movie and they end right in the middle of a good part, cliffhanger!!! Well let me tell you, do not wait to jump back in because the fireworks are going to continue to go off with Cole and Riley! Cole has decided to pass off his feelings for Riley by convincing himself he’s not interested in her, but we all know that’s not true at all, now is it…Riley overhears the incriminating conversation and decides it’s game on! Who will win the battle of love and hate, Cole or Riley? Will Cole figure out who Riley and her Mom are and what they’re up to or will Riley be able to distract him from finding anything out? I am so excited to read the next book and see who will be the focus, will we continue with Cole and Riley or move on to one of the other characters? Read on my friends to find out, I know I couldn’t put my book down the second I started it, I have a hunch you’ll be the same. Happy reading everyone! @Brandy Rymer 05/2023

Savage Truth is book two in Isla Vaughn’s Hidden Valley Elite series. I recommend starting from book one, or better yet, the prequel as these books are meant to be read in order and the sequel offers great insight. I was really excited to pick up this book and delve more into Riley and Cole.. I felt like their story had been a dark and twisty rollercoaster ride and the romantic suspense had gotten to a point where I wanted and needed closure. I enjoyed that the first book ended with a cliffhanger leaving readers to pick up where we had left off, leading to more suspense and anticipation. It has been a long time since I read a series that wasn’t a stand alone, so I missed that feeling of needing more. This series has brought that so far.. I am happy to have had lingering questions answered and do feel like this is a series worth reading. In addition to a unique storyline with interesting characters, I simply liked how the story is told by both character’s perspectives. I am looking forward to reading more from Isla Vaughn.

Amy’s Rebellion (Gemstone Massacre Book One) by Julia Goldhirsh is a captivating story about an expansive Magical world. If you like dark fantasy, mythology, enemies to lovers, and LGBTGIA+ representation this book is for you. The main character Amy is on the run from their past. Hiding in the Human world from their vengeful leader, Amy is trying to protect those they care about by staying hidden. But when running is no longer an option Amy must do what it takes to stand up their self and their people. Can Amy prevail over the Evil Opal before it is too late? This book will keep you engrossed in the action-packed story. The best part about the LGBTQIA+ representation of the book is that it is so organic to the story that it just fits seamlessly. 4 out of 5 Stars recommend giving this one a read!
