This was a great 5 star read. This was a fun office romance read. Evelyn finds herself single and Devlin finally convinces her to go have a friendly drink with him. Let’s just say these two start something very steamy. As we move through the story we get to know each of them. There are secrets, forbidden romance, banter and so much more. Will they get caught? Is what they have worth it?

Over this was a great read. The characters’ chemistry came off the pages. The author does a great job with her writing and pulls you right in. We get some twists and turns that added a great element to the story. If you’re looking for a great read, 1-click and get started today.

Coworkers to lovers!

This book is short but spicy!

Evelyn just broke up with her long time boyfriend and her coworker Devlin, invites her out. What she didn’t know was they were going back to his place. She resisted at first but it wasn’t long before they couldn’t keep their distance from one another.

I loved this book, and not only the spice and the characters, but the way the author brought everything and everyone to life. It flowed nicely, and everything constantly matched perfectly! Could not put it down!

Needless to say this was a book that was impossible not to devour. I loved how it starts and you get a good feel for the characters, and then the story takes off from there. Forbidden love especially in the work place and guy who gets everything he wants. But what if something he wants, and he got a taste of it, but realized this is something he wants more than anything? The book had great spice, and not just a one time thing, was literally all the way through. Thank you to the author for that! The character development was spot on, and realistic. I was deep into this novel and its characters. Seriously Devlin and Eve were making my kindle melt, and they weren’t even ripping their clothes off, just talking being near, you could not deny their chemistry! Again, amazing writing by a talented author and I could not put this one down! Loved it!

I highly recommend this book and author! That goes without saying! A great ride of a roller coaster all the way through. The book and author is a must read! Definitely a great read to fill those sleepless nights!

Excellent read! At first I thought the book was going to be about a young Pakistani/American man looking for work and love, but I was very mistaken. It is true, Hassan is looking for a job and love, but when he meets Yasmine his world is turned upside dow and he is thrust into a crazy adventure in a different realm. Everything was laid out so nicely, and just had the perfect flow. I liked the way the other realm was worked in and how Hassan first comes into contact with the people from Hollow-Maid. The many different movie and music references were fun to watch out for. The ending was good, in that Hassan is finally getting his life where he wants it BUT, I really really hope there is another book continuing in Hollow- Maid and I am hopeful Hassan and Yasmine will meet again.

I enjoyed the premise of this book as well as the characters. I thought the spice level was *chef’s kiss* and sprinkled generously throughout the book. However, the writing left much to be desired. I felt rushed and then there were extreme jumps in time and the characters were wishy-washy (more so than they needed to be). It’s really hard to explain and put into words how I felt about this book. Like I said, I really liked the premise and the plot line and the characters, I just don’t think it was fully flushed out. I will say that the twist at the end was a complete shocker and I thoroughly enjoyed it! There are actually 2 twists…I liked the main twist…the other twist felt forced and I didn’t think it actually needed to be there. That happened too throughout the book…things happened that really didn’t need to be included.
Now let’s get into the story. This is a very quick read, which I always appreciate. I (mostly) loved the characters of Devlin and Eve. I feel like Parker could have maybe flushed Devlin’s character out a little more. We get to see a lot of Eve’s “why” and in time we do get to see Devlin’s but I think his could have been flushed out more. I did really enjoy the interactions between Devlin and Eve; especially when Devlin would get Eve all flustered. Their spicy interactions were off the charts hot and well done!
I would recommend this book with the caveat that there’s just something about the writing that just doesn’t sit quite right with me.

Good Gravy! I enjoyed this one from beginning to end. Devlin and Evelyn are a match made in heaven. Their chemistry right from the beginning is off the charts, and the ‘forbidden workplace’ aspect makes it so much juicer!

There’s twists and unexpected events, the entire time you feel like you need more. I read this one at work, only in one single shift. This book keeps you wanting more and it just keeps on giving!

I adored Eve and Dev’s banter, the tension, and their inevitability.

I absolutely cannot wait to have you read this one.

Devlin by Angela K. Parker is the first book that I have read by this author, so I was curious to see what she could do. This is a great office romance- a frenemies to lovers situation that sees a forbidden relationship, jobs on the line, secrets, drama, angst, chemistry, steam, and emotion.
Devlin and Eve are co-workers who are both focused on their corporate careers. With promotion up the corporate ladder in sight, these two have their work cut out for them. But things heat up as their chemistry bubbles over into their workplace. Giving in to
their attraction will put their jobs on the line- is taking a chance on love worth the risk? Well worth the read to find out…
Looking forward to exploring more of Ms. Parker’s work…
Happy Reading…

Thank you, Angela K. Parker!

New to me author. I really enjoyed this story about Devlin and Eve. There are some laugh out loud moments and there are some moments that make you say to yourself “what in the world?”. This book has a couple twists in it, and you will be surprised to see what they are. Sorry NO SPOILERS from me. This book is a quick easy read, and it will have you turning pages from start to finish. It draws you in to where you feel like you are right there at the dinner table with them all. Enjoy this book…. I know I did.

Devlin is a frenemies-to-lovers new adult romance tale. This is not your typical office romance. Angela has written a delightful tale where there is lots of tension, angst, distaste, secrets and lies, omissions, and jobs on the line.

This is the corporate world where the next promotion is the main goal. However, playing with fire is oh so sweet. What happens when what is between the sheets is so much more? Is it worth breaking the rules? Is it worth the risk?

The chemistry between our MC’s is smoking hot when it gets going. I loved the wit and banter and found it easy to like them. There were times when I wanted to shake them but as they say the road to happiness is not paved in gold.

If you like a forbidden romance with a few twists and turns, then give this author a go and enjoy the sweet burn of this frenemies-to-lovers tale.

THIS BOOK I COULD NOT PUT DOWN! This was a fantastic enemy to lovers, office romance novel and I found myself wanting to reread it over and over again!! Devlin is a guy who is on the track to become someone in this office and has been warned to stay away from anyone and everyone in the office as it could destroy his future goals within the company. When his super close coworker, Evelyn, suddenly becomes single, all of the thoughts of staying away leave with him. One fateful night has made it where these two do not want to be apart or want to explore dating. This book had many twists and turns that I did not anticipate happening, which made this book all that much better! This is the first book that I have read by this author, and it will most certainly not be the last! I cannot wait to get this book for my friends and have them fall in love with it just as much as I did.

I enjoyed reading this forbidden romance story. This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed her writing style and her attention to details that made the story realistic. This is a well written story that has characters that pulled me into the story from the start. They are connectable, strong and keep the story engaging. A past faced romance story that is hard to put down. I enjoyed the chemistry and the growth of the characters. What will happen when a one night stand becomes more than either one ever thought? This is an easy and entertaining story to read and fill my afternoon with steam. I highly recommend this book.

I loved Devlin! Such a sweet workplace romance. Of course never without its ups and downs and tension. But isn’t that what keeps the reader intrigued. I loved what the author did. I just wish it was more. I finished this book in one sitting and was sad when it was done. I did like the small twist. I didn’t see it coming, but I wasn’t surprised either.
Devlin and Eve are partners at work that do everything to ignore the tension between each other. Playing it off as irritation and dislike. That is till Eve’s available and Devlin swings for the fences to get his shot. All he wanted was one night, he never realized it would be so much more.
Eve’s had her ups and downs but never lets anyone get too close.
Devlin has been hurt and just keeps it buried.
These to a whirlwind of tension, sarcasm, intentionally irritating, but sweet to one another as well.
What happens when a promotion gets in their way? They are no longer on the same plane, one is now the other’s boss.
I’ve always enjoyed reading a fictional office romance, but I’m one who has always been against them in life. If you enjoy everything I listed that this book has to offer you need to jump in head first now.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Devlin
By: Angela K Parker

This romance is so good! It is a forbidden office romance but it definitely does not have the normal feel of an office romance book.
Devlin is a businessman and a darn good one at that. He is known for his womanizing. He is also known for his banter with his coworker Evelyn. He has his eyes on a big promotion but that promotion has strings attached. He is not allowed to fraternize with other employees. This new rule comes at the worst possible time.
Evelyn works with Devlin and loves to hate him. The banter between them is so fun to read. In a moment of weakness she gave in to her needs and spent the night with Devlin. This is a night that she can’t get out of her head. She can’t explain the jealousy that is creeping into her when he is with other women. Luckily she just received the chance to plan the winter party for the company. This is do or die for her career and she can’t let Devlin get in her way.
Their resolve to stay coworkers and leave things to just one night is challenged when they are sent out of town together and they have adjoining rooms. Are they both willing to admit that they have more feelings than they first thought? Or will they stick to the rules that have been given to them.
I LOVED this story. I had a very hard time putting it down. I really truly loved their relationship and I hope that there is more to come from these characters!

Ice Dance is not your typical fantasy tale. It is an original comedic urban fantasy that the author said is inspired by swashbuckling adventures of the past. Who was I to say no when I saw this. The fun tale will have you enjoying the authors wit and humour. This venture in to a new world where there are twists and you don’t know what you will get.

Vik’s unique writing style draws the reader in to a mystical world of magic but it is not always your normal magic. Is this a thing ‘normal magic’? Any way I digress.

Expect the unexpected and you will be free to enjoy this tale.

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I started this book. Rockstar’s daughter finds love? Sounds great.

El finds herself at a bar off campus, in disguise in order to sing.

Wil, also happens to be at the same bar. When his guitarist is found drunk a few minutes before the show, El steps in, finding herself to be at the right place at the right time.

The cover and premise caught my attention. It has been a long time since I read a friends to lovers novel but I was sucked in. The slow burn of their relationship was great. Sometimes slow burns annoy me because I just want them to get together but the fast pace of the novel helped the progression of the relationship.

With the ending, I am so excited for the next novel!

WE Blend is a new adult contemporary rock star romance tale. I have heard of these two wonderful writers before but this is the first book I have read by them as one and I was not disappointed in any way shape or form. These clever ladies have given us a tale that is will make your heart flutter. There is drama and angst, secrets and risks along with slow burning romance.

I love that the story is told in my favourite form which is a duel POV because it gives us a deeper look at who the characters really are.

El and Wil take on the world of music but will their secrets and lies be too much?

If you have a passion for music and like a good story that is sweet, flirty, fun and heartfelt then look no further that something written by Willa Drew. I can’t wait to read more by this dynamic duo.

This book does end on a cliff hanger.

I love falling back to my go to genre. Romance is my favorite genre and this was just what the doctor ordered. I like how the lead is complex. I love how the characters compliment one another and how the story is unfolded. I really like how it has a link to music. There is always a bit of the unseen when there is a bit of the character built on lies but it all works out in the end and that is what had me on the edge of my seat. I just couldn’t put this book down to see how it would unfold. I will definitely read more from this author in future.

El is a rock stars’s stepdaughter, so she understands the press and the spotlight. Her parents have never wanted that for her, but all she wants is to be her own artist and sing her own music. Nobody understands how music speaks to El, until she meets Wil. Wil comes from a poorer childhood, but happy nonetheless. He doesn’t feel like he’s missed out on anything living with his mom and grandfather. But when Wil’s mom gets sick, he understands he has to do anything to make sure she is taken care of. Meeting El was not an accident, but falling for her… Read this book and see how the story turns out. It holds love, friendship, trust, and betrayal, but can they find their way through it all? The story is stretched out perfectly, just the right amount of time between plot changes, and relationship changes. The author did an amazing job with this book and I look forward to reading more books of hers!

So sweet. I absolutely love the way that these two star crossed lovers have their own sets of pros and cons that seem to compliment the other, and give the other the ability to better themselves in all aspects of their lives. Though they may not have been honest from the start, there’s something to be said for feeling that instant connection. I have always felt as though others have a secret agenda, so following this connection, their dialogue, and the plot thicken as the pages were flipped, I enjoyed the back and forth immensely.

Family comes first, always, and it is made apparent within these pages that the author feels much the same and wants her characters to be portrayed as such as well. The character building, the angst that one would feel at their age, and the weight of the world comes through to the reader clearly, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Will and Melodie’s story. Will be back for more from her. Pure entertainment, well done!

While this is my first book I have read by Willa Drew, I cannot wait to read more. I started this book thinking I could take my time reading it, and a couple hours later, I completed the book. This book was that good!
From the heartbreak to the love and romance, the paparazzi’s to the bodyguards. I couldn’t get enough! Let us not forget about the banter between Wil and El, that just kept me laughing hysterically.
Then for El to describe her love for music as her lifeline, I could not relate more. Each character was so relatable and I wish I could meet them in person and be friends!

Downside to this book? The fact that it ended on a cliffhanger and I am expected to wait a WHOLE YEAR. Love this book and I cannot wait to read more in the series!

I thoroughly enjoyed this heartwarming, slow burn friends to lovers romance, and was fully engaged in the story throughout. The main characters, Wil and El are so likeable and relatable, and their chemistry really comes across in the narrative. El loves music but is escaping from her famous rockstar step-father’s shadow, and also the paparazzi. In order to sing her melodies, El wears a disguise and sings at a bar off campus and it’s here that she meets Wil. As the pair sing together on stage their connection is instant and it only grows stronger off stage too. However, El is not the only ones with secrets and Wil, who’s in the States on a scholarship also has a rather big secret of his own.
El and Wil just blend together, but they will either have it all or lose their hearts. The storyline flows well and the plot kept me happily turning the pages late into the night! El and Wil are so well defined that I felt like they were old friends and I loved how their relationship changed and grew over time. An enjoyable and engaging read, which I definitely recommend, and I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I was definitely not sure what to expect when I decided to read this book, but I am very happy I did! I thought the author did a great job of keeping the book grounded in reality, while also adding in fantasy piece in a way that felt realistic. I absolutely adored the relationship between Hassan and his niece Kassia, they had a cute relationship and their interactions were always fun, even when there was danger present. I thought that the relationships between all of the characters were well written and getting to see the character development in Hassan and Yasmine was awesome to see. The title of the book did confuse me initially, but after reading the story and getting to see the significance between Hassan and Yasmine, I thought it was a very sweet title. I definitely couldn’t put the book down and if you like fantasy, action, and a lot if humor, this is a great book!
