Devlin by Angela K. Parker – Review by Beverly Finnie

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved Devlin! Such a sweet workplace romance. Of course never without its ups and downs and tension. But isn’t that what keeps the reader intrigued. I loved what the author did. I just wish it was more. I finished this book in one sitting and was sad when it was done. I did like the small twist. I didn’t see it coming, but I wasn’t surprised either.
Devlin and Eve are partners at work that do everything to ignore the tension between each other. Playing it off as irritation and dislike. That is till Eve’s available and Devlin swings for the fences to get his shot. All he wanted was one night, he never realized it would be so much more.
Eve’s had her ups and downs but never lets anyone get too close.
Devlin has been hurt and just keeps it buried.
These to a whirlwind of tension, sarcasm, intentionally irritating, but sweet to one another as well.
What happens when a promotion gets in their way? They are no longer on the same plane, one is now the other’s boss.
I’ve always enjoyed reading a fictional office romance, but I’m one who has always been against them in life. If you enjoy everything I listed that this book has to offer you need to jump in head first now.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
