Chain Reaction (Nite Fire #2) by C.L. Schneider – Review By Chantelle Smith

Chain ReactionChain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

C.L Schneider has once again created an unique read that is captivating, vivid, magical and utterly brilliant. The mentally visual read is stunningly descriptive with brilliant world building and great characters. This author has created a flowing read that keeps you invested in the story, so much so you think you are living the life of our main character Daliha Nite. This book should be read after book one as it flows effortlessly from book 1 to book 2.

This read is filled with suspense, mystery, fantasy and danger. To make it even more enjoyable is that it’s a shifter read, one that is unique and different from other shifter reads I have read. This book is also filled with twists and turns throughout, and keeps you guessing for most of the story! Both of these reads were brilliant from the get go, but there was something different with this read! There just seemed to be a lot more story in these books that had extra depth & brilliance.
Daliha and Creed are back again and this time they bring an extra level of greatness to this read with their brilliant connection and how well they work together.

This is a fast paced, high fantasy read that shouldn’t be missed. I can’t wait to see what else comes of this series, and what else this author can do. This is a read not to be missed!

This is the second book in this series. I think that C.L. Schneider did a great job with this story. We learn more about Dahlia, her world, and the adversity she faces. This story did a great job of pulling in the reader into Dahlia’s story. I couldn’t wait for the next twist in the story!

Chain Reaction (Nite Fire, Book 2)Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have only read a handful of books in this genre, but I feel confident in saying that Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is among the most original! It is book 2 in a 3 book series, with the 3rd one not yet released. It’s about Deliah Nite, a shapeshifter living among humans in Sentinel City because she fled her own world in another dimension after being ordered to execution. Working with the authorities from time to time, Nite does what she can to cover up the presence of her own kind in the human world while helping to “solve” the most bizarre and gruesome cases. In this story, Nite tries to cover up and stop an impossible drug that’s causing people to blister horribly before spontaneously bursting into flames. It could be human derived, but Nite believes it might not be! This story was just as awesome as the first one! Schneider uses incredible detail, lots of humor, and provides you with non stop, page by page action! Not appropriate for younger readers! 5 stars!

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider ~ Review by Liz Vrchota

Chain ReactionChain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction is the second book of CL Schneider’s Nite Fire series. I would highly recommend that you go and read the first one, Nite Fire:Flashpoint, before you jump right into this one. That one really sets up the world that you are going to step in to. And it is a vivid one at that. I really enjoy the way that CL Schneider can bring to life the scene of the story so much so that I feel as if I am right there with the characters experiencing things firsthand. This is what brings me into these books and keeps me coming back, well that and the story is good too… That being said, I normally am not a shifter person. They are hard for me to get into because I just can’t see it as a feasible thing in my mind, even if I make believe. However, just as with the first one, Schneider manages to make the characters so realistic and relatable that you don’t really notice the shifter aspect as much and I was able to buy it.

In Chain Reaction we follow Dahlia as she and her partner work their way through a troubling case. Dead bodies are piling up and so are the questions, with no answers in sight, and the city is in disarray over it reasonably so. What will await her in the shadows as she sets out to figure out what is going on and how to put an end to it? It will be an adventure with many ups and downs to keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to find out what will possibly come next. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book in the series! Thanks for another great read CL Schneider!

Chain Reaction is the second book in the Nite Fire Series and just like the first book I was sucked in from page one and I couldn’t put it down. A new dangerous drug is on the street and Dahlia and Creed work together to find out who is putting it out there before it’s too late and secrets are thrown into the light.
This book is Suspenseful and has lots of twists and turns. Even though this is the second book, I think it can be read as a standalone. BUT I recommend reading them both because they’re really good.
Go get this one now!!
Happy Reading!

Chain ReactionChain Reaction by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Chain Reaction was a great 4 star read and book two in the Nite Fire series.
I was once again pulled right in by the authors writing.

Dahlia and Creed are back and are working as a team, they find themselves on a new case where bodies are being found burned up. Will they be able to find answers before it’s too late?

There is also a very dangerous drug that has some unusual side effects. Dahlia is trying to find out who is feeding the drugs to people before it’s too late. Can she keep the paranormal secret from getting out?

I don’t want to go into too much detail because there is so much to this great read. There are several twist and turns that added a great element to the story. All the secondary characters were great, they all added a great element to the story. Dahlia and Creed are great together, they mesh so well and I love it. I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out who the culprit was. If you like lots of action, suspense, and paranormal reads this is the series for you. This is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I look forward to reading more from this series/author.

Nite Fire: Chain Reaction by C.L. Schneider is the second book in the series. I recommend reading this in order and not as a standalone. The story continues with Dahlia Nite and her partner Alex Creed investigating mysterious deaths that are not discerning of whom they affect. This book did not let me down. I was drawn in and did not want to put it down until I finished. The story and the characters are well done. I really like Dahlia and that she is strong and smart but also has a soft heart. She is a great character. I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Nite Fire Flash Point by C. L. Schneider

Four Stars

Dahlia was a warrior, a dragon that put fear into you with just her name. Until she is branded a traitor. Emotions are a foreign thing to Dahlia. The story was intriguing and violent. The thought of what could be other worlds next to us is kind of creepy. I liked that the author made her female lead so strong I just didn’t like how she kept pushing people away. There wasn’t very much character development but Dahlia did grow with every loss. I definitely liked the story for its details. The way the author described the dragons was scary and beautiful. It also was nice not to have so much focused on the main characters love life. Though I wish that the relationship with other characters was better developed. Also the reason for the deaths was just meh is wasn’t what I thought it would be.

For nearly a century, she’s hunted one to protect the other; safeguarding humanity from the creatures that slip through the torn veil between the worlds—creatures like her. But the lines are blurring. As people begin mutating and combusting on the streets, Dahlia realizes a strange affliction has descended upon Sentinel City. The mysterious ailment strikes all walks of life, from the posh, high-end nightclub district to the homeless community. Its victims, driven to random acts of savagery, are drawing attention too fast to cover up.

Assigned to the case, Dahlia and her human partner, Detective Alex Creed, investigate the deaths. But all they have are questions and bodies, and a public on the verge of panic. Working behind the scenes with her self-appointed sidekick, Casey Evans, Dahlia struggles to discover what, or who, is behind the alarming transformations. As the violence spreads and the mystery unfolds, she wonders: are the victims still human? Were they ever?

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nite Fire: Flash Point is the first book in C. L. Schneider’s new series. It is a four star novel. Even though paranormal fantasy is not a normal genre for me to read, I still found this novel moved me and made me continue reading to find out what was going to happen next. The author was able to real me in with her excellent storytelling and realistic fiction. Have you ever wondered if there were “others” living among us? I know I have. Dahlias able to blend in with the humans because she is half human and half dragon. Although she was raised by the dragons, she has since flew the coup and has hidden herself among the humans on earth. She finds it necessary to try to disguise the “others” existence by having the humans see something else and cover up their crimes enough that they look like they could have been committed by a human. Only problem is that now it might be getting to be too much for her and the people looking for her are getting closer to bringing her back home.

NITE FIRE: FLASH POINT BOOK 1 BY C.L. SCHNEIDER – REVIEW BY MELISSA AGENA

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So very impressed! Anyone can tell you that fantasy is so not my genre to read, but I was intrigued and now I’m very impressed. Nite Fire: Flash Point is book 1 in the series by C. L. Schneider. This book follows Dahlia Nite who is a shifter that worked for Queen Naalish in the world of Dimera. Dahlia is half human and half dragon. Queen Naalish strips her of title of Executioner and sentences her to be executed herself. Obviously, Dahlia is a fighter so she flees to the human world. There she travels from place to place where she doesn’t stay very long. Essentially, she fights what is lurking in the shadows to stay alive. She ends up back in the town that she continues to return to because it was the one place that she truly loved. Now she is helping the police to solve a crime. This book was pretty amazing in the sense that the author sucks you in from the beginning and keeps you there the entire book! Not only is the storyline great but so is the way that the author describes things. She makes you feel like you are truly a part of the story. I do recommend this book and actually cannot wait to read the second book in the series. This book is about a strong woman heroine and her ability to continue to fight. You will not be disappointed.

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flash Point is Book 1 in the Nite Fire series.
Extremely descriptive starting from page one. It’s about Dehlia Nite whom is a lyrriken. Lyrrikens are Shapeshifters transforming between human and dragon.
Nite is an empath. She is a “traitor” in her own world and has lived in the human world for 97 years . She uses her ability to work at keeping the human world safe and seperate from the shape-shifters world. Often working with the police, she investigates
cases involving possible lyrriken, and gives the human world a plausible explanation for what happened while covering up what actually happened. At the same time as investigating the actual why. This book has a lot of gore and blood. There’s a bit of foul language. Some nudity and some laughs. Just when you think it can’t get any crazier, enter the twists! This book was great from beginning to end and I can’t wait to read the second! 5 stars

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flash Point was an interesting 5 star read and book one in the Nite Fire series. This is a different genre for me and C.L. Schneider pulled me right in with her writing. The detail is amazing.

We start with Dahlia fleeing her homeland of Drimera due to a death sentence handed down on her. We jump ahead 100 years. She is a half-human/dragon who is has been hiding within the human realm avoiding the sentence that was given to her. She has been protecting those that have helped keep her safe.

When mysterious murders start happening, Dahlia knows who is responsible but doesn’t understand why. Dahlia starts to work on trying to solve the cases.

Will she be able to stop the murders? What will happen if her friends learn her secret?

There is so much that goes on, we get action, danger, suspense, and so much more. The secondary characters were great, we get some very interesting ones for sure. I really liked Dahlia and her strength and dedication to those she calls friends. We don’t end on a cliff hanger but we do get some leads into the next book in the series. If you’re looking for a great this is a series for you. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This story is from Dahlia Nite’s perspective. Dahlia feels so much and is trying to protect humanity. She is strong and still finding her way in this world. I really liked her as a character! I feel that C.L. Schneider gave us a lot of information in this first book in the Nite Fire. Although I really enjoyed this story, I did feel that parts of it dragged for me, but luckily would pick up after a few pages. After reading this book, I cannot wait to see the next adventure of Dahlia!

4 Stars

This is my first book by this author and it’s a genre I don’t normally read but the synopsis had me completely curious and I’m glad I took the chance. This was a great book and the storyline was unique and felt real enough that I almost could believe that Dahlia and her kind really do exist.

The beginning had me a bit confused but it didn’t take long to fall into a rhythm with the story. I started out not liking the character of Dahlia, the beginning made it very hard to find any sympathy for her. When she was forced to run away from her own world and found herself hiding in the human world I started looking at her differently and by the end of this first book she had grown on me.

While I am still not completely in love with this genre I found that the writing was simply amazing and it was a very smooth flowing and it was enough that I absolutely must read the next in the series.

Nite Fire: Flash Point is a paranormal fantasy by C. L. Schneider. I have not read this author before, so I was not sure of what to expect, but the reviews were fairly good. I don’t usually read this genre, having felt that I have read all there was to read from this topic. How wrong I was. I always marvel at how different each author is and the different stories and varied detail and character traits. These stories are always imaginative and creative. Nite Fire: Flash Point was no exception.

To the story. The story was dramatic, packed full of action, deception, danger, and lovin. The energetic storyline is highly addictive, and this author is one I thoroughly enjoyed and will definately be reading more in the future. 4 stars.

If you enjoy books that have so much action piled into it then you need to do yourself a favor and get a copy. But be prepared for a long read. This book will take you on Dahlia’s journey, Basically Dahlia is a shapeshifter and has got herself into some trouble and is not hiding from people who want her harmed. Nite Fire Flash Point will also give you some mystery, magical encounters and monsters. I have to say the author has great writing skills and this book just seemed to flow. This is the first book I’ve read from C.L. Schneider and I was presently surprised on how much I loved it. This story will completely suck you in!

We meet Dahlia who was exiled from her drag world over 100 years ago. She’s a master at keeping her dragon identity a secret from the human race until. She moves around so people don’t start questioning why she doesn’t age. She loves her job in the crime field because she’s helping to keep the secret of her world.

I absolutely loved the storyline and all the surrounding characters. The book reads like a murder mystery but then the author has a way to completely build this world up and it kept me glues to the pages! Can’t wait for this next one!

Nite Fire: Flash Point is the first book in the two part book Nite Fire by C. L. Schneider. This book is a shifter book which means it has fantasy, mystery, magic, dragons, and of course shifters. This story took me on a wild roller coaster ride. There isn’t a dull moment in the story. The characters are developed and not only are the primary characters awesome in the story so are the secondary. I love how Schneider interwove the “human” world with in the story. Dahlia Nite is a shifter but she is also an assassin. There is an execution warrant out for her and that is how she ends up in the “human” world. It is there were she uses her specialty to help people. Will Dahlia be found? Will she be able to help those around her? Read this story to find out. You may want to have a good amount of time to read because you will want to finish the book in one sitting.

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Flashpoint is the first of the Nite Fire Series books from C.L. Schneider. I have not had a chance to read anything from C.L. Schneider before and so this was a new foray into her worlds and I was pretty impressed. She has a knack for scene building. I often felt as if I could say I was there myself. If I almost experienced first hand the adventures that Dahlia faced along her journey. This kept me on my toes and intrigued when I was a bit dragging in the story line area. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good novel, with a strong storyline. I just had a difficult time keeping everything in order at times and felt as if it was a bit much going on for me in one book. Otherwise, I really enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what the other books bring in the series, as well as if they will be a bit more stretched out. I feel as if Schneider can take as long as she wants with this series. Its that great, I’d rather have more books spread out than complicated stuffed books.

Meanwhile in Flashpoint we meet and learn all about Dahlia Nite. She herself is a shapeshifting assassin and she is currently in a prickly situation. Hiding from people who want her dead she is in the human realm and hopping from town to town using her special skills to protect the people the way she knows how. There are murders and secrets, mysteries and monsters, magical realms and details that will be sure to haunt your thoughts long after you finish the last page. I can’t begin to tell you how dimensional this story gets. So strap in and prepare for quite the ride. I can’t wait to see what will come next in book two, Chain Reaction! Thanks so much for a great escape Ms. Schneider!

Nite Fire: Flash Point by CL Schneider – Review by Jenni Bishop

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nite Fire: Flash Point by CL Schneider is a thriller supernatural shifter story that is full of action and mystery. CL very creative and has written a story that captures your imagination right from the very start. It is action packed with murder and mysteries and some pretty cool characters. The characters are interesting and have lots of depth and the main character is sassy, brash and loud and the heroine of this story.

Dahlia Nite is half dragon and half human who is as tough as nails. She has fled her world as a traitor and now protects the humans by hunting those who don’t belong on the human world. When gruesome, blood thirsty and unusual murders start to happen in Sentinel, Dahlia is enlisted by the authorities to help find the killer or killers. To help conceal the truth from the humans, Dahlia must come up with elaborate and far reaching details that seem far fetched on a good day. When the truth is slowly brought to surface, Dahlia finds she is the object of focus for the deranged killer and that everything she holds dear may be taken away from her forever. Dahlia knows she needs to find and stop the killer before all supernatural beings are exposed. However to catch the killer, Dahlia will be forced to return to the one place she swore she would never return to, the one place she once called home. Going home means confronting your past and confronting your past means coming face to face with ghosts that should have been buried long ago.

Will Dahlia survive all that is thrown at her? Will Dahlia find out the truth? Will Dahlia find help where she least expects it? Will Dahlia lose more than she bargained for?

The story will take you on a journey between different worlds of fantasy, supernatural, demons and humans. I recommend this book and can’t wait to see what happens in this new series by CL.
