Cheyenne and Lane were drawn together by the mating call but they definitely go beyond that to form an amazing bond. This is the first book in what I know is going to be a fantastic series. The talented author has created wonderful characters and an intriguing storyline that draws you into their world so effortlessly. I am really looking forward to seeing what’s next for everyone not just Cheyenne and Lane but the whole family!

As a fan of this series I was looking forward to catching up with our heroine Karina Cardinal, who now feels like an old friend. As usual I was hooked from page one by this gripping mystery adventure which kept me happily turning the pages. Karina’s Aunt Vera has disappeared having lied to her employer about the reason for her absence and abandoning her beloved cat Nightshade, which she would never do. As this is out of character for Vera, Karina is convinced that her Aunt is in trouble, however nothing suspicious is found when she searches her house, other than a ghost! A mischievous Civil War ghost seems to be living in Vera’s house and he keeps trashing her office, Karina realises that he’s actually helping by revealing key evidence. As the clues aren’t adding up for Karina she calls on her sister Jillian and boyfriend Rick Donovan to help. Meanwhile, the cops seem to be following faulty leads which could see Vera being arrested, but Karina just wants to find her Aunt alive. This cozy mystery has an exciting storyline, quirky characters, plenty of drama and mystery as well as a paranormal twist, all of which kept me gripped throughout. The setting and characters are brought vividly to life by the descriptive narrative and I felt immersed in the story. This series seems to get better with each book, and I look forward to being back with Karina again soon!

This is a great YA mystery that will keep you on your toes and turning the pages. We follow Stas, who has help from her friend Jonny, as she tries to solve a string of murders that have taken place over that past year. Stas is a high school student who is going to be a bridesmaid in her mother’s upcoming wedding…that is until she finds her mother dead. We follow her journey of not only trying to find who has done this to her mother (as well as trying prove that Mama K…her mother’s long-time partner…didn’t do it) but also Stas finding herself along the way. This is really fast-paced, keeps your attention, and the characters are so well-developed (I love that!) and relatable. YA or not, this is a great read!

What a lovely book and so, so important in my opinion! Working in animal rescue it is so important for us that children are able and know how to be safe around dogs and know how to interact appropriately with them so I love that this story focuses on that and is told in such a way that is easy for children to understand and hopefully be able to relate to. There is a really important message behind this story and the author address it really well. I think this story definitely has a place in children’s libraries!

What an amazing read. I absolutely loved every single minute of this book and what a writing duo these two are! This has got to be one of the best books that I have read this year. I loved everything about it. Olivia was just amazing – she was such a relatable and likeable character – I honestly adored her! I definitely want to be like Olivia! I could go on for ages about how wonderful this book is but I really don’t want to give away any spoilers but it really was just a wonderful read, light-hearted and real from beginning to end! This is the third book in the Fallen Hearts series. This book can technically be read without reading the first two books, but this may initially cause some confusion. I would highly recommend reading the first two books in the series before this one to better understand the story and character background. The author’s descriptive writing paints vivid imagery of both the characters and scenery allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the world they have created. The detail and characters really bring the story to life. The characters feel realistic and I love good character growth and development and this book certainly has that. I loved how the relationship between Phaedron and Alindras developed and the pace it progressed worked so well for them and the story (even if there were moments of frustration from me wanting them to open their eyes occasionally). I got very emotionally invested in the character and rooting for them from the start. I’ve been really enjoying this series, and I would recommend it to fellow paranormal fantasy romance fans!
This was a really emotional rollercoaster of a YA read. The author does an incredible job of taking the reader back to their younger self’s and the journey of self discovery we all have to go through as we progress from teenager to adulthood. This story deals with some topics that are sometimes hard to talk about such as the breakup of a parents marriage and losing someone one we love. The author deal with these topics in a compassionate and respectful way as our main character Stas learns to find her way through.
Stas thought her life was running OK, granted her parents had split up but her mother was happy with her new partner and planning a wedding. Apart from her mother obsession with her weight their relationship was good. And with the arrival of a new love interest in the form of Zane, Stas feels her life is on a better track. That is until she finds her mother murdered in her dance studio. Who could have done it? Who would want her mother dead? The prime suspect because Stas’s father and with both her parents no longer around she runs the risk of losing the only family she knows. When relatives from her biological parents turn up wanting to take her away from the only other person she knows (her mums partner Momma K and her brother Teddy) she has a fight on her hands to stop herself being take away by supposedly well meaning relatives. This is a real emotional rollercoaster of a ride filled with love, grief, family angst, murder, and a journey of self discovery of a young girl/woman. Stas’s character is beautifully written. Her strength and determination as she faces the challenges in her life made me fall in love with her from the beginning.

It’s been a while since I read a book by this author and I have missed Jake and Cody so I thought I would grab this book and remind myself why I love this series so much and as expected it didn’t disappoint. I was straight back into the action with Jake! He is such a great character to read about. The story is action from the very beginning and it doesn’t stop the whole way through. There is so much going on in this book I didn’t have time to put it down and read it all in one sitting. The authors writing is exciting to read and he is definitely skilled at weaving a creative and imaginative story! These books can be read as standalone but I would recommend they are read in order!

This was such a lovely story! It was really easy to read and follow and has a great meaning behind it. It is really important for children to understand that not everything is easy and sometimes we do have really persevere with things in life. I think using baking as an idea for this was great as baking can be one of those things you really do have to preserver with to get it right. There are lots of talking points in this book for children to discuss what is happening in the story and think of things that they have had to try hard with. I love that the recipe was included as well.

While this is a good book I just didn’t love it as much as the previous stories. I hate to say this but it really seemed like non stop action(usually a good thing right?). He literally ends one and gets a call to go to another location for another assignment. I mean very little down time to spend time relaxing. There are too many govt agencies initials and explanations thrown at us for every little thing. I ended up just skimming those. Last issue was the girls. I am sure he is a hottie and has that great dog but not every woman he comes in contact with is after him(sexually) especially after stating he has a girlfriend and they know her. What Agent Green did..just weird…possible future stalker. Anyhow I enjoyed seeing all the characters and meeting new ones. We get to see a whole gambit of people from Mafia to secret service. Watching Cody “work” and figure things out plus Jake..he is one smart cookie. As always I look forward to reading these stories. This one really took us on a journey from the first incident to the last. The author did a good job winding it all together.

There are so many of these types of books on the market now, but I assure you, you are not going to want to skip over this one. Lexi is an awesome female lead character, and it was interesting to watch her character develop and grow throughout the story. Even if you are not totally sold on the dystopian genre, there is a little bit of everything for everyone waiting in these pages. I enjoyed it and will be anxiously awaiting the second book!

Even though he is irritated that his little sister has to tag along, he finds they make a great team. I enjoyed this short children’s book – I think this would be a great addition to a early-reader’s bookshelf. It is engaging, has action, and could be a start to a enjoying new series!

This was a really sweet book. I love holiday themed romance books and this one did not disappoint. I am not usually invested in MM romances because I do not connect with them. In this book we are introduced to Logan McKenna and the recent activities of her life. Her life recently seems to be falling apart. Logan recently lost her husband in a car accident a couple of years ago and is put into the position of having to sell the business that she and her husband built. Since the sale of her business, Logan finds herself being called into being a teacher, everything seems to be going great until she is accused of helping her students cheat. Logan is appalled because she can’t help that she is such a great teacher, and her students are excelling on the standardized tests. Now Logan is a position that has her job on the line. Logan moves to California in hopes that maybe reconnecting with an important part of her past life might help her on her journey to rediscovering who she is. Everything is going well, until a body is found, and her friend is being considered as a person of interest. Logan now has something to do that will help her try to forget everything that has been going wrong for her. I loved this story and the amount of detail that Valerie put into Logan and her story. I am impatiently waiting to see what happens to Logan next and to see if she continues to find herself in unique murder mysteries.

Another story with Logan finding herself in the middle of an investigation. Her guy (Ben) bought a vacation home in Oregon and they stumble across details of the murder of charolette collins. This murder has several hidden details they find when starting to renovate and of course Logan has to get to the bottom of what happened. I really enjoy Logans strong personality she is a fierce woman and no one gets in her way. This story also took on more dimension than usual with the addition of her half sister to the usual cast in her life. Multi generation family drama and secrets are found and the author Brilliantly shows how trauma can transcend generations and effect people for years to come. You dont need the other books to understand the plot in this one but I do feel like I understand Logan better with the other books prior.

Forest Park: A Logan McKenna Mystery by Valerie Davisson is book two in the Logan McKenna series, and I personally think that it is just as good as the first book! All Logan is trying to do is figure out what has happened, and why weird stuff keep happening with her around. Logan is just trying to piece her life back together after losing her husband a couple of years before, and it has been an adventure trying to do so! Logan decides to take vacation to Portland Oregon, and she happens to witness an explosion at a food truck and the kicker is that she realizes she knows the deceased. Valerie, our author has a very creative way of explaining in great detail what is going on with our main character and what she is doing. Valerie makes you feel like you are right next to Logan as she tries to go through life. Good job Valerie on writing such awesome books and keep them coming!

As always, Valerie Davisson writes another great mystery adventure featuring our main character, Logan McKenna. Even though this is the third book of the series, Valerie does not fail to impress me with the detail she has added into the book. Some authors kind of lose you after the first couple of books of a series, but Valerie does not! The book opens with luring you into the story which will make you want to keep reading to uncover the truth and the mystery around the real estate plot 429. Will Logan be able to solve the mystery, save her daughter, save the Sea Otter rescue center, or will everything just continue to fall apart with no end in sight? If you are looking for a great thrilling read, with its fair share of twists and turns then this is a must read!

This is my first book by this author which I enjoyed reading. I look forward to reading the previous books in this series to help know the characters a little more. There are some triggers in this story but not many and if you can get past them, you will find an entertaining story. This is a well written story that is full of action, romance and suspense. The characters pull you into the story from the beginning. I enjoyed watching their growth and how they brought the story to life. They are connectable, relatable and engaging which made the story easy to read. A story where the twists and turns had me turning pages fast just to find out what happens next. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to seeing more. I highly recommend this book.

This is a cute romance story that I enjoyed reading. I enjoyed how the author used details to pull me into the story with the characters. This is a well written story about what happens when you agree to be a fake boyfriend for the holiday season but what you don’t know is that you are part of a plot for a story. I enjoyed these characters and what they brought to the story. They are connectable, relatable and have great chemistry. I found myself hoping they would get their HEA. I enjoyed watching their growth which made the story easy to read. This is a fast paced story that is hard to put down. This is a story that will bring the Christmas spirit as well as a little romance. I highly recommend this book.

Great story about not giving up! I love that Ben kept trying out new recipes to find out what would make his biscuits different from he year before and better. Things are coming along nicely when she receives an email from her half sister Olivia stating that she would like to meet up while she in town on business for a few days. While anticipating Olivia’s arrival her reporter friend gets a call about a dead body found at The Collins hotel. The deceased is Charlotte “Charlie” Collin, 32 years old and in perfect health. Logan finds herself pulled into this mysterious case for two reasons: firstly the home she recently bought was purchased from the deceased woman’s fiancé. Second: the first time she saw her sister in person was when she was being questioned by police. Was this a suicide or murder? Who would have a reason to kill this young woman? Was it her fiancé or someone unknown?<br />Another great Logan McKenna adventure down. This character attracts trouble almost as soon as she walks out her front door, but her knack for being able to find the ins and outs of a case make up for it. Wow! Amazing! This book is written differently than the others in the series, but it was so well done! It’s a love story, a brotherhood, a passing of the torch, and growing old story. Hits home in every aspect. No matter who you are, something in this book will draw you in. Beautiful story telling, as always. Wonderful characters, many emotions, and several different perspectives that everyone can relate to.
