Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book 1)Her Billionaire Daddy by Allison West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by this author and I was very intrigued. I have read alot of dom and sub books but this is my first daddy dom/play, and I must say I very much enjoyed it. This is book 1 in the series and I can’t wait for the next one.
Martin is starting to feel pressured that his indoor hobbies are affecting his business deals as the rumors are circulating, so he decides he needs to find a temporary wife and that is where Samantha comes in, he thinks she will do perfectly until he decides to introduce her to the world of daddy dom. i’ts good for a steamy read but does happen very quick although Martin and Samantha’s chemistry is on fire.

VANISHING DAY (A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 4) by Valerie Davisson – Review by Jana Teppih

Vanishing Day: Logan Book 4 (The Logan McKenna Series)Vanishing Day: Logan Book 4 by Valerie Davisson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vanishing Day is the fourth book in Valerie Davisson’s Logan McKenna series. You probably could read it as a standalone as there are enough references so you would be able to follow the underlying storyline but I would suggest you start from the beginning!
This time, it gets very dicey! Logan gets on the way of an abusive husband of her young next door neighbour Lori who has escaped him with her little daughter and as she knows what he is capable of then she has information that she uses for leverage… In this story the writer is excellently addressing the sensitive issue of domestic/spousal abuse and if you are even slightly familiar with it then you know that it is not as ‘easy’ as Lori might hope thinking that this information might keep her and her daughter safe … There are twists and turns and at times you are gripping the edge of your seat and then … finally … you get to the end and release a sigh!
In addition to the main story line, Valerie gives us further insight into Logan’s relationship with her boyfriend Ben and their circle of friends. As always, we get the beautiful detailed descriptions of Oregon coast so you can simply close your eyes and picture it (for me, I felt like I was back there …). I wonder what ends up next on Logan’s plate.

Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh – Review by Erica Fish

Child of ProphecyChild of Prophecy by J. Drew Brumbaugh
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is the second book in The Tirumfall Trilogy. I highly recommend reading the first book in the trilogy because it will give you all the background information that is important to know. I love the descriptive writing of J Drew Brumbaugh. He paints a beautiful picture and the scenes flow together. The characters in the story fit each one perfectly. I could not imagine them any other way. There is fantasy, action, magic, demons, prophecy, and some tough decisions. The story continues Grant’s story. It has been a few years and not Grant and his friends are back and on an adventure. This time there is a prophecy and it is an evil one at that. The fate of their world is not looking good. I highly recommend this story to see how Grant and his friends do with the prophecy.

East Beach (Red Farlow Mysteries: #3)East Beach by W.F. Ranew
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

East Beach by W.F. Ranew is the 3rd book in the Red Farlow Mystery series. This is a highly intriguing book that is full of twists and turns the entire way through.
This is one of those books that you really have to pay attention to as there is so much going on. The author has created a complex and intriguing plot that really keeps the pages turning. I gave up trying to figure out what was going to happen because the author was so good at leading down a certain path only to change things up in a second.
This book was well written and full of suspense it really was a brilliant book to read. I would definitely recommend this book!

Love in the Ropes by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in the Love in Action series. This is a fun and lighthearted book that is entertaining and from start to finish.
Having only read the Beckoned series by this author it was great to read something that had an entirely different feel to it and showcased this authors talent in a new way. I thought the book was a great story with some highly entertaining characters. They had such a great chemistry between them even if they didn’t like each other to start off with.
The whole book is well written and I found it really easy to get into. This is another great book by this author and I am looking forward to what comes next.

This is the second book in The Blackened Series. It carries on the fantasy adventure of Lady Isra and her Raven lover Astrid. I would recommend reading the first book so you can follow the story and you know the characters. The author does an amazing job of building a fantasy world and the fantasy characters.

In this new book Lady Isra is faced with an old rival in Everilda. Everilda  blames Isra for everything that is wrong in her life including the fact that she has no powers.

With this fight for power going on and Lady Isra trying to persuade a good witch to her dark side there is enough action and adventure in this book to keep you gripped. Can Everilda finally get revenge over Lady Isra? Can Lady Isra convince the good witch to join her or will she get crossed by the good witch?

She’s No Cowgirl (My Cowboy Series Book 5) by Brooke May – Review by Lianne Probert

She's No CowgirlShe’s No Cowgirl by Brooke May
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

She’s No Cowgirl is the fifth book in the My Cowboy series by Brooke May.
I haven’t read the rest of the books in the series and would say this can definitely be read as a stand alone book.

I really enjoyed this book, it’s an entertaining, light-hearted read. It has a wonderful storyline that was a different take on the usual sporting romance themes.
The thing that made this story stand out for me was the characters. The female lead is strong, passionate, and isn’t afraid to chase her dreams. The chemistry between Kennedy and Hunter really kept me hooked. It wasn’t always smooth sailing for these guys, there’s plenty of challenges and drama that they faced throughout, but I was really rooting for them.
I’m looking forward to reading the previous books in the series now.

Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book One) by Allison West – Review by Liz Vrchota

Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book 1)Her Billionaire Daddy by Allison West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an interesting new read for me. I have read a few books by Allison West before but this one is definitely more of a special niche type read. I will say this book features an alternate, still relevant however, and erotic moments, as well as some Daddy/little play. This was done very tastefully however, even when parts did stray from a typical ethical daddy dom situation. I kept in mind that his book was written as a fantasy though and so it wouldn’t follow a handbook type guide. Her Billionaire Daddy is the first book in the Western Daddy Doms Series and really does set up the location and things for the whole series. We get the story of Martin in this one. He is a a man with a mission to fix his reputation. Things get interesting when Samantha promises to marry him under the idea it is a sham and temporary marriage meant to make his image better. There are layers to this story that are built perfectly and make so much sense but I can’t reveal because it would kill the twists and turns for you. I can say if you like niche romances with lots of steam and plenty of romance, this is for you. I will be interested to see what we will get from the next book in the series.

Kickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks – Review by Jennifer Gordon

Kickflip SummerKickflip Summer by Danielle Jacks
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a lighthearted fun YA contemporary romance which had me hooked from the start. ‘Kickflip Summer’ is a real summer romance with great characters in a lovely setting which had me feeling completely immersed in this novel whilst reading it. Best friends Kara and Toby want one last summer of fun together before they both head of to University. The pair get jobs at Blue Oaks Theme Park and are determined to have fun as well as work. However, Kara did not expect to be attracted to her new boss, but she then comes to the conclusion that a quick summer fling can’t hurt. Bear was happy to spend the summer teaching kids skateboarding until his Dad insisted that he return home and get serious about his future. Bear is unhappy at the thought of working at Blue Oaks Theme Park until he meets new girl Kara who’s there working over the summer. Kara literally knocks Bear off his feet and then he’s hooked and decides that he can handle a summer romance. Having been bought together by chance, both Kara and Bear discover in each other something they didn’t know they needed. Suddenly the summer seems to be to short for the couple and they must decide if their summer romance is just that, or something more.
I loved this sweet romance and found the main characters very likeable and relatable, I was really hoping that Kara and Bear would get a happy ending. The storyline flows well and I like how the story is told from both Kara and Bear’s point of view and this made getting to know the characters easier. The wonderfully written narrative kept me happily turning the pages and the authors detailed descriptions really bought the setting alive, at times I felt as though I was in the theme park. A lovely romantic, enjoyable and engaging debut novel by Danielle Jacks.

This story is a full length edge of your seat novel.

Logan has a new neighbor, Lori and her daughter, 3 year old Shannon. All appears to be going well until…. Lori is viciously attacked and left for death. All the while her daughter Shannon, runs to Logan for help. Being too shocked to talk, Logan sends over boyfriend Ben to check out the house. That is just the first few pages of this Intense mystery. This is a must read!

Valerie Davisson has gone to great lengths to write this book. Her information is spot on, which makes you want more. I love her characters, strong independent women, and stronger men. At the end you find yourself pondering over the story. It will stay up front, one to remember. Such a strong mystery/thriller making this a page turner. I know you will enjoy this book as much as I did. Job well done Valerie Davisson!!

Vanishing Day: A Logan McKenna Mystery/Thriller Logan #4 (The Logan McKenna Series) by Valerie Davisson

Another fantastic read by Davisson. It was hard to put the book down and I couldn’t get enough. Davisson has a certain way of making her readers want more without leaving you hanging.

Logan is at it again saving people. When she meets her new neighbor she knows something isn’t right. Things happen which causes her to mess up her knee. The quote I chose for Logan is: “Jeez, do they think she’s going to be okay? Will she recover?”

Ben has been through so much within the last couple years. First his fiancee leaves him and now it seems like every time he turns around Logan is getting hurt. He loves Logan and surprises her with something. The quote I chose for Ben is: “I know it seems crazy. Why now? I’ve been asking myself the same question. I can’t answer that exactly, except to say that when I saw Shannon on your lap the other night, in the rocking chair, comforting her, and then Shannon hung onto my neck and wouldn’t let go, it just triggered something.”

A highly recommended fantastic Mystery thriller novel.

Playing Series 3 Book Set by Stephanie Queen – Review by Liz Vrchota

Playing Series 3 Book SetPlaying Series 3 Book Set by Stephanie Queen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am such a mega fan of football romance novels it’s a bit much but I can’t get enough. When I saw these three were offered in a box set from one of my go to romance authors, Stephanie Queen, I knew I had to scoop it up ASAP. I wasn’t disappointed one bit either, these kept me glued to my kindle all weekend long and it was just what the doctor ordered to escape my funk. These have some of it all, romance, witty characters, drama, and of course some sassy love scenes. What more could you want?

PLAYING FOR MONEY:
In this one we focus on Hunter Quintana. He is in quite the predicament and needs to stay out of trouble if at all possible, especially since he is on probation. Unfortunately, fate has another plan when he drops the coach’s daughter and a bad crush for her in his lap. This sucker was a fun read and I found myself giggling several times as I read and cheering for these two to get that happily ever after no matter what.

PLAYING FOR LOVE:
Adding second chance romance into sports/football romance reads is seriously like sprinkling sugar on top and adding the cherry to your fav sundae. I loved this one so much as we followed Gabriel, the team’s star quarterback. His girlfriend and her bestie are about to make his steady and good life a bit more dramatic to say the least! This actually was my fav of the three books in this series and I’d totally read another Gabriel book any day!

PLAYING FOR KEEPS:
In Playing for Keeps we get Tate’s story. The trope is one we see a lot of , enemies to lovers, but Queen really wrote this in a way that it was fresh and entertaining the whole way through. Tate and Chloe start off with a tumultuous start but I think the way to the end was well worth every second.

Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book One) by Allison West – Review by Lianne Probert

Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book 1)Her Billionaire Daddy by Allison West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Martin is trying to run a successful business, but rumours of his lifestyle are putting people off doing business with him. What he needs is a stable lifestyle, a family, and a wife. When he runs into his sister’s old friend Samantha at a bookshop he is pleasantly surprised at the attraction between them. Now he just needs to convince Samantha to strike a deal with him and be his temporary wife.
Martin has many surprises to share with Samantha, the main one being that she must call him Daddy. Samantha soon realises there’s much more to Martin than she first thought.
I like the relationship between Martin and Samantha and how the varying parts of their relationship develop and grow. What starts as a fake marriage for the sake of appearances soon deepens into much more.
For me the story was lacking some romance. I enjoyed the characters but it all moved very quick. Overall though I still enjoyed the story and would recommend it as a quick and sexy read.

By Allison West
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the book Her Billionaire Daddy (Western Daddy Doms Book One) by Allison West. It has steamy romance and wonderful characters. I loved reading about Samantha Bellamy and Martin Taylor. Samantha is a romance writer who is intelligent and independent. Martin is a billionaire with a secret. He also needs to be seen publicly in a better light. What will happen when Martin offers Samantha a deal that is hard to pass up? The romance in their story lights up the pages. The temperature in the room will rise. I grew to care about Samantha and Martin with each chapter that I read. I wanted them to find happiness. The book also involves inclusion in a different lifestyle at a club. Many steamy moments are experienced by Samantha and Martin when there. The author does a wonderful job of making both the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on a book that you won’t want to put down until the final page. I highly recommend reading it.

EAST BEACH (Red Farlow Mysteries No. 3) by W.F. Ranew – Review by Liz Vrchota

East Beach (Red Farlow Mysteries: #3)East Beach by W.F. Ranew
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have really enjoyed the Red Farlow Mysteries by WF Ranew, so when I saw there was a new one available I instantly one-clicked. I was not disappointed with East Beach either, in fact this may just be my favorite so far. Ranew really has a knack for writing suspense and mystery. I was constantly second guessing myself as I read, wondering if things really were what they seemed on the surface, but this sucker throws in some twists and turns that you won’t see coming. I was on the edge of my seat and found myself reading this in one fell swoop well past my bedtime. I really loved the backdrop as well I felt as if I was visiting a mysterious and creepy misty beach town the entire time.

In Easy Beach we find Red Farlow, the PI we have come to love, receiving an odd message from his friend. When he decides to look into it more and go to his friend he discovers him laying in a pool of blood after being shot. He will now stop at nothing to discover who killed his friend and why. The adventure is one you won’t want to miss and I can’t wait to see what else we will find Red Farlow doing next!

This is not my first book by this author but it is one of my favorites by her yet. I enjoyed this romance story. It is engaging and fast paced. The characters are well developed and I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. I had no issues with connecting with them as they brought the story to life. This is a story about an author and a playboy. Martin has a reputation for being a playboy on top of the secret he keeps. He has a chance at making millions but the only problem is his reputation. He approaches Samantha with a deal that has a few catches to it. They have great chemistry together and really made the story for me. They made me feel as if I was right there in the story with them. I enjoyed being pulled in right from the beginning and I highly recommend this book.

East Beach: Red Farlow Mysteries: #3 by W.F. Ranew is a mystery thriller story. It will have you thinking you had it figured out only to be slipped a twist and a turn here and there and you had no idea. WF is very good a character building and they are well written. Red finds his friend on deaths door and is now on the hunt to find out who did this. The trail leads to drugs and cartel and your share of seedy bad guys. It also leads to more questions than answers. There are a lot of moving people and pictures in this story but WF does a good job of pulling it all together.

This is a book I could connect to a lot personally. I run a blog and my own FB page is filled with quotes which urge the readers to enjoy the little things in life. This book, unlike mine, is a lot more personal. The author deliberates on the little things that matter to her in her own life, the observations we can all connect to at some point of another.
I did feel that the style of writing is a little inconsistent, perhaps because it is a compilation of blog published together in a book. But this book gave me a whole set of new ideas and perspectives , right as an individual and a blogger.

Grosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes – Review by Elizabeth Sanchez

Grosse PointeGrosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grosse Pointe by Natalie Barnes was such a good story. I was drawn in just from the cover and then read the description. It takes place in the 1920s and it is very well written. The author does a great job of describing things, that I wouldn’t even have thought of. Such as the boys first seeing the statue of liberty, their first experience in a car, concern whether they will have electricity or indoor plumbing, and courting a girl in the 20s. Brek leaves his mom and home of Kilkenny, to board a boat to America when he is just 15 years old. He is lucky enough to make a friend on the ship, and they bond together and watch each other’s back. It is sort of a coming of age story, mixed with mild gangster life in early America. The book has a lot of slang, that I am not sure if its Irish slang or just of the times… That took me a bit to get used to and understand what they were saying. The words repeat so you get used to it and don’t even notice after a while. I recommend this book and can’t wait to read more by Barnes.

CAFE CONFIDENTIAL: An unfiltered and intimate memoir by Lynda Filler is a non fiction adventure story. It is a story of the journey of our author who sold up and ventured into the unknown. It is a step by step look at her life going from place to place with no destination in mind but with only the thought of feeding her mind, body and soul. I was immersed in the story and it was over before I knew it, but it left an impression on me.

This is this author’s first book and I really enjoyed it, it came with all the emotions and sweetness I love in a book. The writing style was smooth and super easy to read.

I loved the characters and getting to know them, sometimes though I forgot how old they were as some of the parts made it seem they were older than they really were. That did not take away from the story though and I loved how they met and her best friend Toby was awesome!

This was an all around sweet read, I like that it didn’t jump into being an insta love type relationship and I was able to watch it grow.

I loved it and can’t wait to read more from this author!

Billionaire Martin Taylor needs a wife to secure a deal worth potentially billions. He goes to get a book signed for his sister, only to discover that the romance author is a friend from his hometown in Montana. His sister and Samantha were best friends. He doesn’t know why they had a falling out (which was because Samanatha had a crush on Martin).

He’s a playboy and the only way to change his image is to get married, even better to the fact that it’s a woman he knows from way back when. It’ll look believable. So, he offers her $2 mil to marry him for 18 months and then they can get divorced.

It’s all in the contract – she has to call him Daddy, no sex, the money, all of it.

Martin also has a secretive Daddy Doms club in NYC, which he takes Samantha to once they’re married, and shows her the lifestyle he prefers. It’s highly sexual, involves discipline, but also pleasure.

Things start to get complicated when he takes a trip to Europe for work and is caught by the Paparazzi appearing back in his old playboy ways again. Except he wasn’t cheating on her – he was getting hit on though and the image, it looked bad.

She leaves him and returns home to Montana. Martin chases after her. Buys a ranch (partners with cowboy Jackson that is getting divorced and needs to sell his property but doesn’t want to give up the land) and opens up a new Daddy Dom club (Western Daddies).

There’s also a kidnapping (Samantha gets kidnapped by her ex-husband), the NYC club gets burned down, and a few other suspense-filled moments.

Key to Tirumfall (The Tirumfall Trilogy Book 3) by J Drew Brumbaugh
Genre – Fantasy
Page Count – 420
Cover Designer – Lynn Forbes

Gwen has lived an isolated life, raised by adoptive parents who taught her the art of wizardry. Her brother, Seth, is her biggest fan, and greatest critic, especially when she persuades him to join her on a quest to unlock the Tirumfall Tower, a mysterious structure that holds the secrets of the greatest wizards that ever lived.
Isabella has not been as lucky having grown up in the care of a demon lord who thinks that she is the chosen child of prophecy. That legend proclaims that one will be born who will lead the demons of the west in a war against the men of the east. Unfortunately for Isabella, she doesn’t have any penchant for magic nor is she a warmonger. Her only wish is to discover her real birthright.
Gwen and Isabella embark upon paths that lead them to each other and as they meet, the intersection of their life’s experiences creates a conflict that will test them both. If Gwen gains access to the ultimate magic inside Tirumfall Tower, how will that power affect her and the people she loves? And if Isabella finds out who she is, will she be able to surmount her doubts and embrace the reality of her birth?
The journeys the two women take are dangerous and fraught with setbacks that threaten their lives. Will the nurturing atmosphere that Gwen grew up with win over the genetic makeup that rages within her? Will having power corrupt either of them as they maneuver their families and loved ones to do their bidding?
This is the emotional conclusion to the Tirumfall Trilogy, a tale set in the fantasy world of wizards and dragons, swords and demons, and power and war amidst love, friendship, and family loyalty. Two women, two hearts, two desires clashing in a fractured world.

THE PATIENCE OF KARMA (A Madeline Dawkins Mystery #5) by Cynthia Hamilton – Review by Amanda Taylor

The Patience of KarmaThe Patience of Karma by Cynthia Hamilton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Patience of Karma is the fifth book in The Madeline Dawkins Series by Cynthia Hamilton. This is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and I was hooked all the way to the end. I absolutely love the characters of Madeline Dawkins and Mike Delaney, each book they get more intriguing. Like the other books they are thrown into multiple cases that keep them busy but ensures the book stays interesting. You won’t be disappointed in reading this book.

Reign (The Larussio Legacy Book 3) by Via Mari – Review by Michelle Austin

Reign The Larussio LegacyReign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Reign The Larussio Legacy by Via Mari (Goodreads Author) was a thrilling 5 star read.
We continue with this edge of your seat series and I couldn’t stop until I was done.

Giovanni and Serena pull you right into their story. Serena is struggling with putting her family in danger by being with Gio. Because of some of her choices Gio and his team struggle to keep her safe. After a dangerous twist she finally gets it and realizes her place is with Gio.

Can Gio keep Serena and her family safe? Will her nonna ever accept her love for Gio?

Overall this was a great read. There are several twists and turns. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I did however have some frustration with Serena and some of her early decisions, but she finally got it. We get steamy moments, action, suspense and so much more. If you’re looking for a great series that pulls you right in I highly suggest this one. 1-click and get started today.

Child of Prophecy (The Tirumfall Trilogy BOOK 2) by J Drew Brumbaugh – Review by Rachel Moss

Child of ProphecyChild of Prophecy by J. Drew Brumbaugh
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Child of Prophecy by J. Drew Brumbaugh is the second book in the Tirumfall Trilogy and was a great read! I enjoyed reading this addition to the series much better than I enjoyed reading the first book. The series definitely gets better the further it goes in my opinion! The storyline was better, it seemed like the timeline made more sense, and there were even better characters introduced. I immensely enjoyed reading this novel and can’t wait to read the final novel in this series.
