This is a really cute story about a stuffed animal who gets separated from his boy and the adventures he has to get back to him. Kody wakes up on the airplane being carried but it’s not Axel who’s carrying him! How will Kody get back to Axel?! Perry-Knights does a wonderful job of showing children it’s okay to be scared and go through a gamut of emotions. I loved the creativity of this story and the wonderfully bright illustrations. This book took me by surprise, I was expecting a fast-paced adventure, but it ended up to be a very thought provoking read. The story is indeed about rabbits, one young rabbit, Anastasia, who defies the norms, questioning why rabbits should be prey animals. She gets ousted from her warren, faces a predator, fights back bravely. Then she finds herself in a position she never vied for, a leader who can revolutionize her clan. As I kept reading, there were layers of depth added to the storyline and the characters. I was so glued to it until the end. I would like to read more from this series.

I loved this book! I received this book before the others in the series. I was able to understand the plot without reading the others first. However, I did go back and read them too! Heaven Only Knows (A Silver Buckle Romance Series Book 3) by Laurie Lewis. This is such a good romance and I really enjoyed the antebellum mansions and New Orleans setting. The writing was so good that I truly felt like I was there. Barrett is a attorney and he is in New Orleans to settle a big case with his clients that just won a case against a Chemical Plant. Barrett is also dealing with his fiance just marrying his best friend and killing all of his future dreams. While in New Orleans he chases a thief down a dark alley and runs into the Agata, a stunning singer. Agata has been in hiding for 5 years and trying to forget the horrible things that happened in her past. Even though Agata turns Barrett down personally she does offer to help him business wise and track down all his clients. While spending time together Barrett falls deeper and deeper. Barrett’s mind is telling him to run away from this woman but his heart is in love. This is a beautifully told story with a beautiful background.

The Man Who Dealt in Death (The Colton Fen Series) by Marlena Frank. This is the first book I believe I’ve read by this author but will not be my last. I really enjoyed it. It’s the story of Colten who is a werewolf shifter dressed like a cowboy and he’s been hired by the Agency of Betterment of Supernatural Creatures. He’s ready to start to work but they insist he has a partner and he is totally against that. Rennick is half human, half vampire and after a rough start they begin to work together. They are sent out to investigate a missing persons and along the way they meet Mary. Mary is a very independent lady who decides to join in on the investigation. This book sucked me in and I totally lost track of time while reading. I can’t wait for the next book to read more about these incredible characters!

It’s Cool To Be Kind by Shermaine Perry-Knights. This is such a great book about just being kind. Kids of all ages can learn from this sweet book. It teaches us that even the small things that you help people with are just as kind as the big things. It teaches kids that take what you are good at and help people with that skill. You can help in all kinds of ways. It is geared at kids 7 to 9 years of age but even my nephew who is younger really enjoyed it. It would make a great book for your upper elementary teachers for their classroom. I loved this book and I am making it a part of our family library.

When I started this book, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. However, it was good. It was a slow burn. It’s a different kind of fantasy romance. It wasn’t smutty, and it only had a little bit of descriptive innuendos. It had great world building and good characters. The character development was interesting since the two main characters developed and grew together. I would recommend this as a quick read (I read it in one day).

Wow…this book is just…. I couldn’t put it down because of how good it was. I was a bit hesitant since I am not really into football… but I am so glad I gave this book a chance. While there are scenes related to football it focuses mostly on a different plot and it was just so good. I loved watching the love blossom between everyone in this book, including the side characters. This starts as a contract relationship that benefits both parties in a positive way, not in a blackmailing type of way, that slowly turns into something real (after some drama/ angst/ breakup). This is a quick read… but that might also be because I could barely put the book down and only did so when I absolutely had to. This book does not end on a cliffhanger, but it does make me want to read Ares and Liam’s story so badly!

This book is targeted toward a young audience, and I would definitely recommend it to parents and teachers and even children’s librarians. The illustrations are vibrant and beautiful. As I was moving from page to page, I felt almost like I was near the river, seeing the animals described and drawn. This book is short, making it a perfect bedtime story, or quick read for a squirmy kid. Themes covered within the book are “hard hitting”, such as pollution, yet touched on lightly in a way that won’t confuse young children and may even go unnoticed but be a good jumping off point for further discussion.

Kody gets left on the plane and goes on a mighty adventure. He shares how you can have an adventure also. I love this little story. It’s entertaining and teaches a really fun lesson. A beautiful story about friendship. The back and forth of letters shares the love of friends. Beautiful and colorful illustrations that will keep children engaged. A fun and entertaining story that shows them that change is okay. This is a wonderful book that was a hit in our house. This is another book that I sure wish we had had when I was younger. Having grown up as a military kid, this would have helped with transitions. It’s a wonderful story that helps explain transitions and how they go. There are bright illustrations that will hold onto the child’s attention. This is really a neat series of books that helps kids understand a little about being a military family and having to move around a lot. A winner in our house.

Joy does not want to be in River Falls, years of putting distance between her and her home town has been erased in one day. With her mom’s passing she has been called to deal with her mother’s estate but there is one glitch, her mother’s shop, to be able to sell it she has to bring it up to code and that’s were the bane of her life comes into play, Charlie Hunnicutt.
Charlie is an expert in restoration and loves his home town of River Falls, but when Helene daughter arrive she becomes the thorn in his side, not really caring about the town she is constantly pushing him and when the initial meeting did not go exactly as planned he starts doubting how he will win over this hard hitting woman.
As they start working together and get to see inside each other, sparks start to fly but can Joy invest in the relationship Charlie wants and needs.
This story is a enemies to lovers and is beautiful to read, although part of a series the book can be read as a stand alone story. The story weaves beautifully through the thoughts of Joy reliving some of the horrors of her past but then developing the feelings toward Charlie which she is conflicted with and not sure about.
I loved the character of Charlie and his laid back attitude was a great to counter balance to Joy’s straight forward ADHD mannerisms. The secondary characters also added an extra layer to the story. I can’t wait to read more of this series going forward.

This was a fast paced, action packed quick read. Roran is a rule breaker. He likes to mingle and interact with human women. After a battle with Dragon Hunters he meets his mate. A human named Lila. He is instantly drawn to protect her from an assault. Things heat up and Lila is thrown into a world she didn’t know existed. This was a great read.

This book was so cute. I loved reading Niko’s broken English. The heat between Niko and Chloe was perfect. You could literally feel the attraction jump off of the pages. They match so well.
Throughout the book everytime Peyton was mentioned I sighed and rolled my eyes. Custody battles are the worse. They bring out the worst in people and she was no different. Super glad everything worked out.
I also didn’t realize it was apart of a series until after I finished the book. I’m not menopause age yet but it was I testing reading about Chloe’s experience.

I love this author! One of my favorites! Quarterback Keeper gives us a promising start to a brand new series. I always love when A favorite author of mine comes out with a new series. Gives me something to get excited about and something to look forward to! Like the last series I read by this author, football is involved. Which just ticks off another box for me, I’m a sucker for a sports romance. Obviously different characters and setting but the same can’t be put down till you’re finished reading. I love the twists and turns of these books as well as the character dynamics. This new book is no different. Gia is on the run. Hiding from an abusive ex. When she stows away on a random boat she feels she’s currently in the clear. What she doesn’t realize is that the boat’s owner is going to change her life. Will it be for the better? Well I guess you will have to jump in to find out. Kylian is stressed. Dealing with football, class, his mom’s prognosis, on top of his dad trying to force him into a relationship stumbles upon a happy surprise. Deciding to take his boat out one night, not realizing he has a passenger, he’s trying to clear his head. It’s not till he stumbles across Gia that he comes up with a plan. A “you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours” idea. Fake date, fake engagement, and if need be fake marriage. He wants to make his dying mother’s last wish come true, while keeping his dad at bay. The trouble with possibilities by Nancie Abuhaidar, this was an amazing book that starts off with our FMC Delaney or Del for short. Landing in Africa for a non profit teaching program. Here we meet our MMC Ben who is an absolute sweetheart. From here we learn Del is a widow with two kids trying to figure her life out. We follow her journey of clumsiness and determination. She is funny and realistic, she is a wonderful character to follow around. Throughout the book we get to learn about her life and her kids. We also get to watch her try and learn how to love and be loved, it’s a tough journey and definitely worth the read.

The author hit it out of the park with this one..hmm wrong metaphor..she scored the game winning touchdown with this one! Kylian and Gia meet in an unorthodox way, but quickly figure out they can help one another and begin a “fake” relationship to meet one another’s needs….but things aren’t always so simple. Gia’s past and the danger it brings lurks beneath the pages throughout the read and Kylian’s mess of responsibilities add to the complexity.
I’m very familiar with this author and have read previous series from her, so I knew I had to pick this one up and I was not disappointed. The author, as always, put together a page-turning read with excellent characters. She has an effortless writing style that pulls you in as a reader from the first pages and makes you keep going until you’ve devoured the whole story. She has excellent character development, slowly developing and adding complexity to them throughout the story, but giving you everything you want and need as a reader. There is suspense, a bit of heat, and just an overall excellent start to a new series. I’ll be picking up every book as it releases!

Amazing, beautiful love story. Great characters with lots of emotions running through this story. It is a story intertwined with love, mystery. This is a fast-paced book, that is hard to put down. It will grab you and captive you to the end. I can’t wait to read this next one.

This is the final book in this intense and action packed, explosive series and I couldn’t wait to finish it to see how it ends. We have followed the Masters of the Consulate as they chase the rogues and find their chosen mates in the midst of the hunt. With Slobozia, he is completely suspicious of the witches, due to the centuries of hate between the two groups. Taylen is hoping to join the Warriors Group and has zero interest in getting involved with Slobozia, but as the hunt continues, they are thrown together in a race to defeat the rogues. The twists and turns that the book takes you on will keep you reading until the last page. While it was amazing to see the series wrap up, its bitter sweet as it’s such an engaging series. Definitely a great series and each book can be read as a standalone, but I recommend starting at book 1 and reading your way through the series to get the full impact.
