This is a sweet love story with a twist. This book is full of action and suspense and pulled me right into the world of Cade and Lecia. This book really shows how much the dynamic between a married couple can change once a child is soon to enter the picture. The love between Cade and Lecia is so tender and sweet and it’s obvious how much Cade loves her even though they go through a rough patch or two. This book took a terrifying turn that had me on the edge of my seat eager to see what would happen next. I really enjoyed the scenes with the extended family in it and seeing the traditions and closeness that each of the families has. The ending was great and definitely left me eager to know more. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book this series.

This is book two of The Shadow Chronicles and I loved it! Definitely worth staying up all night reading it. In this book we get to see more of what’s really going on in the Vampire/Lycan world and who the bad guy really is. We do get some of our questions answered from book 1 but she still leaves us wanting more. Levi is still our smoking hot alpha and Tasha is still our fierce warrior. We also get to know some of the side characters better and I have to say the Dominic and Radar are probably my favorites. I really hope we get more of them with the last book. I really wish I could give this more than 5 stars!

The adventure and edge-of-your seat action is ramped up in this Book 2. Now that Maggie knows the truth about what happened to her father, and the real nature of Ian Rutherford’s character, she is desperate to protect her beloved, Will Foster. The Armstrong clan are still convinced that smooth-talking “Bonnie Will” has beguiled the innocent Maggie, and that he needs to be brought to justice and she liberated. They are on the run, trying to escape the long arm of the law, and save Will from certain death in the gallows. But can they run forever? What will it take to save the star-crossed lovers? The Armstrong and Foster clans clash yet again, and while both believe they are doing the best by Maggie, they are at odds. Tensions run very high in this novel, and the plot turns on split-second decisions. My heart was definitely pounding in places, and shed some tears in others. Very emotional and exciting continuation to this series.

This is the second book in this series and it picks up right where the first left off. This book really drew me in deep, and I mean that in a good way, From the very beginning of the novel I was sucked in. The characters were beautifully written, and this author really knows how to grab you and keep you reading! Even when Tasha and Levi love is approved by their inner circle, they are still fighting to prove themselves to the rest of the races. As if that wasn’t enough as they also have the hellspawn growing in strength. Causing more strife for Lycans and vampires alike. I can’t wait to see how the rest of the series plays out.

The story of Levi and Tasha is so addictive and really pulled me right back in from the very first page. If you haven’t read the first book in this series, you definitely should. It tells all about how these two meet and fall in love and it gives a lot of background on the history between vampires and lycans as well as their mutual enemy. There is so much danger and action mixed in with this incredible love story that I couldn’t set this book down once I picked it up. I just had to know what was going to happen next! This is one series that you definitely don’t want to miss and I cannot wait to read the next book in this series and find out what happens next! I held my breathe during so many parts of this one, just not sure how it was going to turn out because there are so ,many twists and turns. This is a definite must read!

This book is a real page turner. I can’t wait to read the next books, I’m invested now. I felt a connection with the characters in the book and it’s a book I would reread in the future. It is a mountain lion shapeshifter book based in a small town in the mountains.

The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride #1) by Brooke May
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. The author creates a world we can escape to. The Mating Call is the first book in the Long Claw Pride Series.
Cheyenne is eighteen and ready to be on her own. She goes to Cali to find herself before the call comes. When it does come she is ready to go home. There she finds her mate already waiting for her at her house. The quote I chose for Cheyenne is: “And I’m not. I just want to find my own footing before I have to let nature take hold of me.”
Lane is busy working away when the call hits him hard. He drops everything and follows the pull towards his mate. The only thing he is missing is his court date. He finds his mate only to be taken from her. The quote I chose for Lane is: “No, I want to be able to tell our grandchildren someday it was me who put every log up, who nailed in almost all the nails to seal our home closed to keep the love in, and I want to be an example for our children, grandchildren, and all the generations to come how hard work can be so rewarding.”
The Mating Call (Long Claw Pride Book 1) by Brooke May 4 Stars!!!!
I have to say that my most favorite thing in the world is to find a new author and a new series to sink my teeth into. This book definitely fills both. I like how the author has a unique and fresh take on shifters and has a real good blend of romance and drama. The characters just jump off of the page and I feel as though I am right there in their midst.
I like how she makes the relationship complex yet simple as let’s face it you cannot escape your destiny now can you. I like how Cheyenne has some reservations and Lane needs to work for the relationship. I am also quite happy that it was not one of those predictable stories. i found that I just couldn’t put this book down and am eager for the next one. I also like the teaser in the epilogue that just really keeps the eagerness and wanting. I cannot wait!

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) by Nikki Lynn Barrett
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Barrett. Snowfall Serenade was an amazing read and I know others will enjoy it. Barrett has outdone herself with this series.
Scott can see ghosts and it’s taking its toll on him. He has these life-like dreams and wakes feeling guilty. His wife is someone he can turn to, but he feels like she may leave him because of his obsession. The quote I chose for Scott is: “Still doesn’t solve the guilt thing, though. That’s the biggest. This anniversary will pass, but ghosts needing me won’t.”
Zelda is used to her husband seeing ghosts. Now it’s not only her husband, but her daughter as well. She can’t carry Scott’s child and any time she sees a kid she pictures Scott. The quote I chose for Zelda is: “Go. Get the hell out of here. You can’t be seeing Scott in random kids.”
The struggle of good verses evil takes a twisted turn when Lucy Walker begins to have disconcerting encounters with the unexplainable. Every moment of this story is filled with action and adventure and was completely packed with unforeseeable twists and turns. The Author, Pauline Gruber, writes in such detail that she literally brings this story and it’s characters to life. So excellent was this story I couldn’t put it down. In fact not only couldn’t I put it down but I instantly picked up the next book just to get more of this story! In one word it was … Phenomenal!

Snowfall Serenade (Soul Connection #3) By Nikki Lynn Barrett
4-stars Review by Melissa Saxton
wow! this is my first read by Nikki Barrett. this story explores Scott and Zeldas journey, and the heart wrenching trauma they endure early in the story that leads them to barely be able to interact. As if that’s not enough Scott can see and speak to ghosts and they Interrupt him at all the wrong times which puts constant strain on his family. When he takes a trip away catastrophe strikes pushing Scott and Zelda to the brink and a secret will be revealed. Will Scott and Zelda be able to save their relationship after tragedy, can they forgive one another and come together stronger? This was a good story and a good 4.5 star read. it will keep you riveted.
After getting into an accident, Zelda has lost the one thing she and Scott have been working toward for a while. Scott was faced with the decision nobody ever wants to have to make, but his wife’s life was on the line. Now they can barely look one another in the eye since the pain of their loss is so overwhelming and they each blame themselves. They need to work on healing not just as a couple, but as a family. It doesn’t help that ghosts keep popping up needing help to get closure. If they can’t get attention from Scott they seek the only other person that can see them, their daughter. Now the ghost of someone in the past has turned up with a big secret and the answers he needs to be able to fully close that chapter of his life. Will Zelda and Scott be able to work through things to keep their marriage and family intact? Or has Zelda finally had enough of the ghostly interruptions? Will the big secret be something that will alter his life and marriage? Will Scott finally get the closure he needs?
I have enjoyed this series so much. You can feel how heavy the matter at hand is and feel the emotion leaping from the pages. The author has yet again done a great job bringing the reader into this fictional world.

Wild Desire (The Protectors Series #1) by Toya Richardson
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Richardson. It is the first book in The Protector Series. This series can be read as standalones.
Mila has come back to her hometown after being pushed out. She was bullied when she was younger because she was different. She could hear and communicate with animals. The quote I chose for Mila is: “I’d forgotten how beautiful it is here.”
Elias has finally found his mate. The thing is though is one of the other Supernats is the cause for her pain. When he takes her to meet everyone on the good side he’s taken back to how kind she is. The quote I chose for Elias is: “You’ve given Morgan hope he’ll see his daughter again. He’s been all over the world consulting with all our strongest seers and not one has ever seen his daughter.”

Vanessa Maan, Grey, Raef and Aroz are back in this story of one woman and her immortals where she is rudely awakened by being pulled out of bed, away from Grey and straight into a place which smells of brimstone. When she has realised just where she has been whisked to, she also realises that she is butt naked, thankfully her modestly is covered thanks to a comforting presence and she needs all the comfort possible when she comes face to face to the Queen of the Underworld in her throne room and surrounded by guards with scythes. It is here that Vanessa is given a mission and 24 hours to complete it, she is being sent back up the Overworld where she is tasked to retrieve a sample of water from a Waterfall Of Youth at the top of the tower block belonging to Raef, so away she goes, propelled upward in the lift with words of warning of what is awaiting her if she fails.
When Vanessa is dropped off at the tower, she is determined to get this mission over and done with as soon as possible, but as usual, nothing really goes to plan and instead of worrying about running into Raef, she runs into Aroz instead, that is after crashing into a member of staff first as she is looking through a door at her target. As soon as he sees her, Aroz distracts her by dragging her through the Betwixt, away from her waterfall, mission and the only thing keeping her in one piece, straight into the arms of her gentleman Raef and away from a danger she hadn’t anticipated. This leads to the three of them making and executing a plan to get the necessary sample, but again things go awry and again Aroz grabs her and takes her away, but this time it is to his invisible palace in the Upperworld.
As Vanessa’s predicament becomes apparent and Aroz refuses to let her free, she becomes the trapped beauty to his beast, however, as she explores the palace and attempts to find her way around to the rooms Aroz has supposedly prepared for her, she runs into a soul in need. This soul asks for her help, but is it something Vanessa can give willingly, or will it spell even more trouble for her? Will she ever be rescued from her gilded cage and what will happen if she does, will she still remain in one piece, or will the Queen dish out the punishment she believes Vanessa deserves? This is another mythological and paranormal romance with Gods, mortals, the dead and everything in between as another race against time ensues and dangers are all around with more riddles to solve and secrets to be revealed as this fast paced adventure flows across the realms to its conclusion while pulling you along in the current.

For me this book started off a little slow, however the further I read the more interested I became. The author, Andrea Matthews’, use of a historical and archeological foundation really made this story pop for me. The tale is a paranormal, time travel, romance with some great characters and one main character, Caitlin, who is very unlikable. I do feel like there is more to her than we are getting, but that remains to be seen in book two. This novel is filled with quest-like adventures, history, mystical happenings and a little strange romance thrown in. I had some difficulty initially keeping up with the story, because it time travels in the memories of Ciarán back to the 5th century and then back to the present day. Nevertheless, this back and forth developed an epic background that is building this narrative for great things in the future. During an archeological dig in Ireland, Caitlin finds a pristine human specimen, an ancient pagan priest who unbeknownst to Caitlin was entombed alive. Magic and mystery weave there way throughout the story and once back in the states, the pristine specimen goes missing. He finds his way to the only sacred ground he knows, a church. Where we meet Father Mike and my favorite character!! Again we find things mystical and enchanting weaved into this tale as the truth begins to unravel. We won’t know the all of it until book two. If you are going to read this book make sure you have book two or you will be so upset!

The Bow: A Fated Mates Greek Myth Paranormal Romance (Her Three Immortals #3) by Hazel Storm
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by Storm. The Bow is the third book in the Her Three Immortals Series. This series needs to be read in order or you will be lost. Storm knows how to keep her readers coming back.
Vanessa is enjoying her time with Grey when his mother decides that she wants to send her away. Vanessa is sent to the Otherworld(Earth) and is to get a vial of water from the waterfall of youth. The quote I chose for Vanessa is: “Maybe not the part about the Underworld. I wasn’t in a rush to go there, but… as much as I miss Mom and Piper, I’m glad I ended up with Grey and that I could help him find what he’d lost.”
Aroz is the God of Lust and Love although he doesn’t know that. He doesn’t know about the darkness in his palace and he doesn’t know his mother made him lock away his twin brother. When they finally are one things get better. The quote I chose for Aroz is: “You may touch me anywhere you like, Bella. You should know that by now.”
As a lover of all things romantic, paranormal, and historical, this book caught my eye. Readers follow Luci Delacroix and her fiancé, Beckett, as they travel to Luci’s recently inherited family estate. Upon arrival, Luci and Beckett quickly discover things are not all as they may seem. This is a quick, intense read. If you like curling up on a rainy night and binge reading a short(ish) story, this is the book for you.

Stormwood: A Haunting Paranormal Tale by Luna Mayfield
This is the first book I’ve read by Mayfield. Stormwood is an easy read. It’s also a page turner and you’ll have a hard time putting it down. I really hope there is another book after this. I say keep up the great work Luna.
Luci inherits an estate from her aunt who has recently passed away. She doesn’t remember the time spent in Stormwood, but it doesn’t stop her from wanting to go there. Once there things start changing. The quote I chose for Luci: “Fine. What happened to you? You never came to bed.”
Beckett is the ex-husband of Luci, but they are seeing each other. When they get to Stormwood he starts to notice the changes in Luci. He’s scared as heck, then he starts seeing a woman in the shadows. The quote I chose for Beckett is: “Why didn’t you have your phone on you, babe? I tried calling you, and found you’d left it by the bags. What if something happened to you?”

Wow! Stormwood is hauntingly scary, and I couldn’t put it down! Such character building and story telling all rolled into a neat, almost sorrowfully short, book. Luna Mayfield uses romance to spice up this paranormal tale, but the haunting elements remain the focal point. Mayfield also includes a little familial history along the way. Intriguing and original, I recommend Stormwood to those brave enough to weather the chills and goosebumps. I can’t wait to see what other tales Luna Mayfield spins.

My Soul to Give (A Demon’s Love Book 1) Genre: Paranormal/Romance Pages:476
This book is a bit steamy, however it’s very much on the dark side. I am on the fence with this one I don’t know if I love it or hate it I feel like there is no in-between. I understood the plot but I expected more romance but romance Kim of fell flat. There is really great character development as you would expect in the first book of a series. Something seems to be missing I don’t know what yet, maybe because it is book 1 questions get answered in book two or things will just make more sense. Would you sell your soul to the devil for the love of your life ?! The “bad guy” of the story really was the best part all the best villains have the name Kai or some variant lol. I am looking forward to book two. I hope there is more steam then darkness in the next read. I will give it four stars because it is book one and it keeps you reading it has a good plot I just don’t think this is my type of book something I am willing to get use to.

This is a really good book amd I love how the Author does not leaving you hanging until the next book to find out important events! There are some really good steamy scenes in this book very interesting and ummmmmm imaginative! All in all I really liked this book and am excited to read the next one in this series!

My Soul to Give (A Demon’s Love #1) by M. A. Fréchette
This is the first book I’ve read by Fréchette. My Soul to Give is the first book in the A Demon’s Love Series and will need to be read in order. This is a great page turner.
Kai is a demon and has been following Celina since she was a child. When he finds her after her husband does things change. He finds that he loves her and doesn’t want to lose her. The quote I chose for Kia is: “We have plenty of time for that. You need only be patient, which I know can be difficult for humans. Now then, let us plot your revenge, shall we?”
Celina has lost her parents and now her husband. When she is hunted down by the people who killed her husband she comes to the black tree. Her black tree. She finds that Demons are real. The quote I chose for Celina is: “So, my aunt paid someone to kidnap Lumen male children to gain immortality?”

This was one of those stories that kept me reading because I couldn’t even guess what was going to happen. Trying to figure out what secrets Thomas had been keeping from Celina, trying to figure out Kai. Kai… man, he definitely was a little hellish. Obviously, right? But the deviant grew on me. There were definitely some dark and twisted parts, but it added to the thrill of it. If you like a little dark, a little mysterious, a little demon-ish give this book a go!

My Soul to Give by M. A. Frechette is the first book in the A Demon’s Love series. I thought this was a really intriguing and different way to go about telling a revenge story. The description instantly made me want to read the book and the start of the story completely hooked my attention. I thought that the author created a unique concept within a genre that is oversaturated. I enjoyed the characters in the book. They added so much to the story and easily kept my attention. There were a couple of times that I thought the story needed a little bit more attention to detail however the overall idea was absolutely fantastic. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

A. Fréchette – Review by Kerry Baker
I really enjoyed this book. It had everything I look for in a book, murder, Paranormal and romance. The author does an amazing job at making the story grip the reader from the start and the twists and turns the reader goes through keeps you gripped until the end. The romance is hot and steamy and with descriptions of murder it is def an adult book.

This book was the second in The Shadow Chronicles series – if you haven’t read the first, I would highly recommend reading it before this one. The author does an excellent job expanding on the story and characters from the first book! Though this book did not exactly follow the storyline from the first book that I expected, I still greatly enjoyed the plot. I also like how it touched on the storyline that I originally expected it to follow, clearly leaving that open for the next installment! The main characters Levi and Tasha were just as enjoyable as they were in the first book, with additional satisfying developments to the antagonists of both this book and the overall series, as well as some of the lesser side characters. If you loved the first book, you’ll love this one for all the same reasons, including but not limited to the endearing characters, the fast-pace, and the steamy romance! I can’t wait to read the third installment in this series and see where it goes!

It started out slow but in time I couldn’t put it down. A complete page-turner that takes you from confused to intrigue to love to surprise is the best way I can describe My Soul to Give by M.A. Frechette. In the end I couldn’t put it down and I’m definitely going to read the next book. Despite being king of the demons, I loved Mekaisto. He’s intriguing and elusive which kept me involved wanting to know more, and the author didn’t disappoint. I can’t say the same for Celina. After witnessing the death of her husband and being shot herself, she has mere minutes to decide her fate, die or sell her soul to a demon for revenge. It’s a wonderful adventure with an ending twist that was surprising but made me love the story even more. M.A. Frechette’s ability to create a world that only seemed realistic but was far from it was gothically beautiful. If your looking for something different with a fantastic twist, check it out! I guarantee you’ll want to read more from this author when you’re done.

I absolutely love this series. Once again it’s completely original. A total mixed species. A vampire falls in love with a lycan. Ends up getting pregnant by said lycan. While pregnant find out she has magical powers like a witch.

My Soul to Give (A Demon’s Love Book 1) by M. A. Fréchette – Review by Krista Vaughan
Has there ever been a story you were reading that consumed all of your thoughts and made you want to read cover to cover in one sitting? Whether your answer is yes or no, you should REALLY read this novel! My obsession with Kai and Celina’s story was all consuming taking over my thoughts throughout my days. M.A. Fréchette has created a dangerous, sexy and unapologetic demon and a strong, sassy and passionate heroine. It starts out with a deal for revenge of her husband’s killers. The more she finds out about his life away from her the angrier she gets. The more time she spends with Kai the deeper her attraction and feelings for him grow. The more I read the more I wanted to read. I 100% recommend this book to 18+ with no triggers and a love for all things demon!
