Book 2 was amazing. It was filled with so much tension and war. Tasha and Levi’s journey together continues in book 2. This poor couple can not catch a break. The hellspawn are at their door every night trying to kill everyone in sight. The lycans and vampires are working together to try and save their races. Life gets even more interesting when Castus and his minions are on a warpath as well. He wants Tasha for payback and his evil plan. The Master hellspawn wants her too and she belongs to Levi. Levi is going crazy trying to keep her safe at every turn. I can’t wait to read the next book

This is my first book I have read by CR Robertson. It is not my usual genre and it took me a little while to get into the book but I am glad I stuck with it because it turned out to be a great book. My favorite parts were the action kicking butt scenes. Also it is a good mix with the sexy romance between Levi and Sasha. They are truly a forbidden mix of lovers. Long lost family is reunited and its nice to see everyone back together.

Forbidden Mate (The Shadow Chronicles Book 2) by CR Robertson 5 Star!!!!!
I absolutely love Sherrilyn Kenyon and Cassandra Clare so of course I fell for this book series. I could not put this book down. I love how the forbidden love plays a part in it and that there is just as much adventure as romance comes to play in this book. The characters are well written. The author brings a fresh outlook to witches, lycans and vampires.
Tasha and Levi have the forbidden love that brings the reader in and the story draws you in deeper and deeper. I found that there was just enough action and drama that keeps the reader glued to your seat and not want to stop reading. I like how there is just enough of a carrot dangled to keep the reader wanting more and I for one cannot wait for the next book. Reviewed by @caraleeloonat

In book 1, Forbidden Wolf, you fell in love with the two main characters, Levi and Tasha. In this second book, you fell in love with their story and the strength that love can provide. Levi and Tasha once again are trying to win this war against the hellspawn (and those that oppose their connection). At every turn, the couple is dealing with diversity, and when things start to look up, something else gets in their path. But the bond and strength and uniqueness of being mated helps conquer even the most turmoil of situations. One thing I just love about paranormal romances is the way authors talk about bonds, love, soul mates, etc. It is done in such a way that you yearn for those feelings. CR Robertson writes in a fashion where I can physically feel what these characters are feeling just by reading the words – that’s talent.

Forbidden Mate is the second book in this series by C. R Robertson. It picks up where it leaves off with Levi and Tasha falling more and more in love and right in the middle of a war between Lycans, vampires and hellspawn. Forbidden Mate yanked me in just as the first book did. I have completely fallen head over heels for Levi and Tasha as characters and their growing relationship. This story is well written as I lost track of time as I just couldn’t put it down. I was so invested in learning about what happens next that I kept promising myself.. just one more chapter. If you like lycans, vampires, mysterious enemies… then I highly recommend this read to you!

Forbidden Mate is the second book in the Shadow Chronicles series by CR Robertson. If you haven’t already done so, start with book one in the series. This is a continuation of the story.
Book two sees us back with Lycan Levi and Vampire Tasha. After starting a war with their love in book one, this story has a whole new set of complications, challenges, and battles. There is so much history and bad feelings between the Lycans and the Vampires that sparks fly constantly. The love story between Levi and Tasha has me hooked. I love both of these characters and literally couldn’t put this book down….I NEED to know what happens next.

My Soul to Give (A Demon’s Love Book 1) by M. A. Fréchette is a dark and unique paranormal tale. With lies and secrets, drama and suspense, murder and revenge, demons, and religious zealots there is a little bit of everything that makes this story intriguing. It is delightfully raw and gritty with suspense and twists and some steamy romance. There is mystery and darkness, pain and horror, tragedy and heart wrenching moments made it hard to put down. There were moments when things didn’t quite gel where details were missing or just trailed off with out further explanation but over all I found I needed to know the outcome. The characters are interesting and complex, and compelling. If you are a fan of very dark romances, then you will love this book. What are you prepared to give up for revenge?

This is another great read by Storm. The author had me hooked from the beginning. I had a hard time putting it down. This is the second book in the Her Three Immortals Series.
Vanessa is dead and now living in the Underworld. She has made a couple of friends. She has also brought color back to it. Grey has kept it grey for way too long. The quote I chose for Vanessa is: “I’m here because I’m dead and got lucky not to be voted to go to the middle ground, or worse, the hot-pit haven. I am not that important, Gorgonita. Go ask Charles A**hole Radcliffe in there, and he’ll tell you just how insignificant I am.”
Grey doesn’t usually make deals, but Vanessa wormed her way in. Not only to his world, but in his heart. He isn’t sure what to make of her. The quote I chose for Grey is: “Where do you suggest she hid my brother’s soul? I searched every square inch of the Underworld for him myself.”

Forbidden Mate is quite the ride! Action is packed between steamy moments and suspenseful adventures. This book is the absolute opposite of predictable. It is a page-turner that keeps you on your toes and simply anxious to find out what happens next. But the author definitely didn’t forget to add just the right amount of hope and love. If you liked the first of this series, you will love this continuation! I CANNOT wait to read the conclusion!!

This is my first book by this author. I can’t wait to see what is next for them. I enjoyed this paranormal romance story. This is a well written story about revenge and choices that could change everything. This is a fast paced story that is engaging and has characters that bring the story to life on each page. They are connectable and really just made the story for me. I enjoyed their growth throughout the story. One fatal bullet has left Celina with a choice of making a deal with a demon or joining her husband in death. Her husband had secrets and she is about to find out how bad they are. She is faced with choices that will change things for her forever. Will she make a deal with a demon or will she fall to the unknown? I really enjoyed this story and what the characters brought to the story. The author’s use of details made the story not only realistic but easy and entertaining to read. I highly recommend this book.

I give Forbidden Mate (The Shadow Chronicles Book 2) by CR Robertson, 5 stars. **This review may contain spoilers from book one.**
This book is so incredibly good! I forgot how good this series was, but as soon as I started this one, I could not put it down. While this is a paranormal romance with some pretty steamy scenes, it is so much more than that. With an enemy that wants to destroy both of their species, and former master vampire determined to make Tasha his, there is plenty of action and suspense. Then there are the surprises waiting for them, both with the vampires and the lycans. But this book is not just about Tasha and Levi. The secondary characters from book one are back and we meet a few new interesting characters, too. This helps to really make this world even better.
If you are a fan of paranormal romance starring two characters absolutely devoted to each other and the survival of their kinds, then this book and series are for you. I recommend reading book one first so you have a bit better understanding of what happened previously.

I was fortunate enough to read “Forbidden Wolf” directly before this book so I was able to jump right back into the world Robertson created and read from Tasha and Levi’s mind like I didn’t skip a beat. Lucky me!!! 😁 Because it has been an EPIC adventure!! This book starts off running and doesn’t seem to stop until it ends with a decent enough resolution that I can put it down and not be exasperated about what I was left with. BUT!! I want more! I want the next book and I want it NOW! We get to see the growth of the love and soul connection that Levi and Tasha have had since their first snarky bite at one another; and let me tell you, the steamy scenes DO NOT DISAPPOINT! Ssssssoooo hot! We also get to see more plot twists and the increase of enemies from all sides that gather and never seem to end. Once again, I stayed up later than I should have – not even to finish it…. Just to find a stopping point so my mind would be willing to put the book down and get some sleep before work the next day. I legitimately screamed at a major discovery and stayed glued to this book in order to finish it. I bow to you CR Robertson! What a great story this book was!

This book really drew me in deep, and I mean that in a good way, From the vey beginning of the novel I was sucked in. I had not read the book prior to this one, but needless to say I am going to. The characters were beautifully written and this author really knows how to grab you and keep you reading basically!
This book delivered and more. Thee book had a wide range of characters that I believe carried over from the previous book. I was so invested I felt I was a apart` of the group going through the actions and adventure…and dare I say trials/tests that they had been through in this novel!
Darkness can be over powering especially in the dark world and what it does to our beloved characters was so intense, can they really trust what they know? Is what they believe truly the truth? There was constantly something happened, the book never lagged, or seemed boring at al! I literally could not put this one down it was my perfect genre of book, and the story was so compelling I constantly needed to know what would happen next! It was amazing from start to finish!
By far, I felt a super strong connection to Tasha and Levi. They seemed to not be perfectly connected by the start of the book, but as the story continued they seemed to entwine more and more. I really loved that connection that seemed to grow? I’m feeling I am not the only reader who thought that! Every character was remarkable in a special way! The author truly delivered and then some with this book!
The book was amazing to say the least. I really felt the connection as I said with all the characters. I really felt myself adapt to what ever they faced. I loved how they stuck together during hard times and even when all seemed lost, their will and strength relied on one another got them though! The characters and how they were written were so good, and realistic! I loved the story and the action and all the paranormal setting put into it! it was a wonderful and fun read! I defiantly look forward to more in the future from this amazing author! This was truly a book that delivered above and beyond expectations!

With a fatal bullet in her gut, Celina Leviet has only seconds to make a fateful decision. Join her murdered husband in death, or make a deal with a demon.
She doesn’t know how or why Mekaisto found her, but she doesn’t hesitate. In exchange for her soul, he’ll let her live long enough to wreak revenge. The catch? She must kill the murderers with her own hands.
The contract sealed, her skin carrying Mekaisto’s brand, Celina digs into her husband’s past. But every new revelation unravels everything about the man she loved. His company never existed. His family history was a lie. And he belonged to a shadowy religious order whose members know too much about demons.
Her emotions in shreds, she finds Mekaisto’s seductive charms harder to resist. But her dead husband’s secrets aren’t the only betrayal. As the final, shocking truth comes to light, she struggles with the darkest of choices—break her vow and surrender to the unknown, or succumb to the devil she knows.
Being an extremist, she loves both the dark aspects of life and everything sweet. All her stories are either set in Canada where she lives or in alternate worlds she made up while living within her imagination. When not writing, she thinks of the next scene or plot while enjoying her work as a cover designer. Although she has a fascination for monsters, with a bachelor degree in criminology, she understands there’s no need to create the paranormal; humans are capable of inflicting nightmares of their own.

The Lycan/Vampire vs Hellspawn War wages on. Tasha and Levi are still battling the Master Hellspawn and his minions, whom are ever adapting. Tash and Levi are also evolving during this war. This installment of The Shadow Chronicles was even more action packed and intriguing that Book 1 (Forbidden Wolf). There is a lot of action as there is a major war going on outside the base and inside the base (with Castus). The plot is well-written and does a thorough job with explaining the science they are studying to understand the Lycan/Vampire genetics. The characters are well-thought out and put together. My personal favorite, after Tasha and Levi, of course, are Tasha’s parents. Her mom has no problem putting her father in his place. The female characters are strong and confident in this book. They will go into battle without a second thought. I did not see that ending come. I’m kind of hoping a further book in the future about them? Hint, hint! Great series. Recommend this!

Yall, I said it before when I reviewed the first book in the Shadow Chronicles and I will say it again but these books are not your average vampire reads and everyone should go run and one-click them! They are just fab and I have become and instant fan of CR Robertson as a result. I love her knack for writing paranormal romance books and her ability to restore my faith in vampire reads once again. I used to love this genre and really really loved reading Anne Rice and whatnot but just became really burned out and sad when Twilight killed it, yes I know I am one of those that could have done without that whole franchise all together. Anywho Forbidden Mate took me on a magnificent ride and kept me reading late into the night. In fact it kept the hubby up too who may or may not be reading these now, oopsies lol. Not sorry actually. These books have something for everyone with action and adventure, intrigue and suspense and the underlying romance is enough to keep me so glued to the kindle I can’t bear it. I will most definitely be stalking and hoping for book three to be available soon!

Forbidden Mate (The Shadow Chronicles Book 2) by CR Robertson. This book was amazing. The first book was good too and I would suggest reading it first but this book just blew everything out of the water. Its a fast paced story full of paranormal romance, drama, and vampires. This is the conclusion of Tasha and Levi’s story and it will shock you to the core. Things are more complicated as the battle continues between the Vamps and the Lycans. Castus is still totally obsessed with Tasha and will stop at nothing to have her even though she wants nothing to do with him. This is the telltale sign of whether Tasha and Levi make it and it will keep you flipping pages until you are finished. Tasha is still finding out about her powers and how to use them and of course her relationship with Levi is causing all kinds of destruction. This book is so good and I hope you will all read it.

Vampires, lycan, witches, and hellspawn, this book had it all! Vampires and lycan are sworn enemies so how it is possible that Levi and Tasha were able to become mates? Levi will do anything to protect his vampire mate, but will it be enough? The vampires and lycan have formed a truce, but a new enemy is at their door threatening to destroy both species. I loved the twists, turns, and the unexpected that CR Robertson gave in this story. I don’t want to give any surprises away. I loved this book and was disappointed when I came to the end. I want more!

After having read the first book I was hooked on the writings of CR Robertson. The characters that she depicts are so descriptive that I can imagine the things she portrays them doing in her novels. I despise Castus but absolutely love the growth I am seeing in Levi and Tasha. There is absolutely no way I put these down often reading most of the book in one session. For this book we are introduced to a few newer characters and some more twists and turns very characteristic in her writing style I’ve seen so far. With the demon hell spawn still advancing on both sides Tasha and Levi bring the Lycans and Vampires to a delicate standdown as they battle this creature who attacks without reservation. But it is hard to move on from past transgressions. As we explore the conflict between the Lycans and vampires it unlocks many surprises and secrets that everything may not be as black and white as once thought, or as night and day as it was believed. The trials and tribulations that both Levi and Tasha face will leave you hanging on tight as the twists and turns come from every angle. It is hard to describe the book to much without the potential of divulging major spoilers and as an avid reader I can’t do that to you now can I? I will shout this from the rooftops you must read this series, you won’t regret it!

4-stars
Wow! Forbidden Mate was a phantastic read!! This is the second book in the Shadow Chronicles Series, a series that I highly recommend reading in order for reader enjoyment as this book follows the first one.
This paranormal read is intense, gruesome, steamy, complex and action-packed there’s never a dull moment! This author writes with so much detail that painted a clear picture playing out in my mind which kept me entertained the whole way through.
This is a book I would highly recommend to anyone looking for their next paranormal read!

Forbidden Mate is book two in The Shadow Chronicles Series and a fantastic addition to the series I might add too! I read book one, loved it and I really really loved this one as well! Maybe a smidge more than the first. The allegiance continues into this story with some tense moments! Not gonna lie I GOBBLED this baby up in one sitting! LOL I am a HUGE fan of forbidden love romance especially in the paranormal genre. So, was very excited to continue on with Levi and Tasha’s smoldering love in this book. Big reveal near the end, WOWZERS!! I’m so eager to read the next book NOW I need to know what happens next!!

So this is the second book in the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the first one so I was ready to head into this one. Ready I was. Forbidden romance always hits a little different for me and I love itttt. Honestly one of my favourite tropes. This book didn’t disappoint, don’t want to say too much because spoilers. Still loved Tasha and Levi and their relationship. If you want a romance between a vampire and wolf then this is the book for you!
This book!!! Absolutely loved this book! I managed to read this book before the first book and will be fixing that ASAP! This book was pure perfection. C.R. Robertson knocked this book out of the park. Tasha and Levi are amazing characters and I could not get enough of them.

Forbidden Mate is the second book in The Shadow Chronicles series by C.R. Robertson and impresses just as much if not more than the first! Robertson continues to develop the characters personalities as they continue the fight against the mysterious creature targeting both Lycans and Vampires. They also are in the ultimate fight to save their relationship, which causes bad blood between the Lycans and the Vampires. The thing I both hated and loved the most was seeing the storyline between Tasha and Levi wrap up, because I had grown very fond of the two characters. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in the series, there are a lot of unanswered questions I am curious to see answers to!

Forbidden Mate is the second book in The Shadow Chronicles series by CR Robertson. I am stunned by this book. I liked the first one but I really like this second book. This book has even more paranormal elements with a bit of suspense thrown in. The characters have multiple depths to them. I fell in love with Tasha and Levi in book one, and it has grown with this book tenfold. Tasha and Levi’s relationship has sparked some bad blood between the vampires and Lycans. There will be a war but will Tasha and Levi stay together or will they be torn apart by the war? I highly recommend this book to see if the relationship between vampires and Lycans survives together and can save their species at the same time.

Ya’ll. I gotta be honest. I’m not a huge fan of series where it’s the same main characters throughout the books- but this series is an exception. I LOVE Tasha and Levi’s forbidden love. I’ve always liked supernatural/paranormal/romance books and this is the best of all of those worlds. I really enjoyed the first one and this one is no different! I thought the twists/trials/trouble was interesting in Forbidden Wolf and was wondering if Forbidden Mate would be the same and it was. This is a fantastic series and I am EAGER for the next installment! Onto the next! (:

THIS SERIES! Just when I thought I couldn’t be more enthralled, CR Robertson went and did it again! The love story between Tasha and Levi is incredible and I love every bit of their relationship together. This story adds more insight to what has been happening with the Hellspawn and creates a whole new set of problems that the couple (and the rest of the new clan) will have to figure out and deal with. I thought that I loved the first installment of this series, but this book has quickly claimed that spot. I am on the edge of my seat waiting for more. The whole story is amazing and the ending leaves you wanting so much more! Keep it up, CR! I cannot wait to see what’s next.

Another great book by C.R. Robertson. Another great read of a story of two people that were forbidden to be together and the way that they fight to be together. Will all the twists and turns you never know what the next page will have, it’s a real page turner. It’s a very fast-paced, complex, action packed, paranormal romance, that will have you wanting more. This incredible story with its vampires, Lycans, hell spawn, witches, all in one story is incredible how she weaves it all together for this incredible story. The battle scene and the sizzling encounters are so amazing it kept me wanting more. This Is a must read and can’t wait for the next one.

Fury of Conviction (“Villains” of the Dragonfury Series Book 2) by Coreene Callahan
This is the first book I’ve read by Callahan. Needless to say that it won’t be my last. This short read will have you wanting more. Callahan knows how to draw her readers in.
Sveld is half-human half-Dragon. He thinks he can’t have kids, but he doesn’t want anyone to have what he’s claimed. When the female he claims takes off it forces him to do something he normally wouldn’t do. The quote I chose for Sveld is: “Couldn’t help myself. You look beautiful in my ropes, Natalie. Had to see it for myself, just once before…”
Natalie wants nothing to do with Sveld at first. Then she learns everything about him and it changes her mind. When she learns that she can’t stay it hurts to leave him. The quote I chose for Natalie is: “At least five hundred miles, right? As long as I stay that far away, you can’t track me.”

OMG! She did it again!!! I just can’t get enough of these characters and their spellbinding story!!! This right here is pure paranormal perfection!! All the stars!!!! Forbidden Mate is the exciting second instalment in The Shadow Chronicles by C.R Robertson. I devoured the first book and it immediately became my favourite read for the year, so to say I had high expectations for this book would be an understatement. I have been anticipating the release of this book and was sooooo excited when it finally landed on my Kindle five days ago. I shoved aside everything else that I had planned to read and plunged headfirst into the action. It only took me a few hours to read it, as I practically inhaled it. I got to the end and turned around and started it again- two more times- it was THAT GOOD!!! This was more than I had hoped for- an incredibly riveting read that has taken my addiction to C.R Robertson’s work to a whole new high- but it’s an addiction I am happy to feed and have no intention of quitting any time, ever! To say I loved it is an understatement. This is a fast-paced, action-packed, adrenaline fuelled, paranormal romance, with a complex, multi-layered, and addictive storyline. The story is incredible, with vampires, Lycans, demon hellspawn, witches, sizzling chemistry, politics, agendas, drama, danger, secrets, paranormal beings, battle scenes, violence, adventure, sizzling encounters, fated mates, and even higher stakes than the first book. Again, I love Ms. Robertson’s take on Vampire and Lycan lore, she really does know how to tell a very compelling and exciting story. As this story continues on from where Book One left off, I really recommend reading Forbidden Wolf before starting on this one. Trust me, you will want to know what happens there before continuing the adventure. I am seriously on tenterhooks for the release of book three, Forbidden Moon, which I am anticipating will be quite a bittersweet read, as I really want to continue this series but I have just discovered that it will be the conclusion to Tasha and Levi’s story, and I’m not sure I am ready to say goodbye. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED READING!!! Seriously, if you love fantasy, paranormal romance, or just love being immersed in a spellbinding adventure- then you will really want to get your hands on this book/series, STAT! You really won’t be disappointed! But prepared for the massive heat wave and addiction that comes with it!! Happy Reading!
