This book is just as good as #1-#3. This addition to the series adds to the character basis. I love that each book gives us a new couple to enjoy. Exploring all of the abilities of these characters has been an adventure that I will never forget! Carrie Pulkinen is an amazing writer with a magnificent imagination.

This is the 2nd book in the Life Is Hell series and I loved it just as much as the first. I would recommend reading the first book because then you get an understanding of the characters in this book.
Millicent is a deputy. She loves her job and has no idea about the paranormal world around her. That is until strange things start happening to her. Not sure where to turn she goes to her friends for help and advice.
Her friends Sheridan and Delilah are convinced the happenings are paranormal and they all set out to figure out who Millicent’s stalker is.
Add to this mystery the growing attraction between Sheridan and Millicent and its a book full of action.
Can they find out who Millicent’s stalker is? Are they after Millicent or are they using her to get to Sheridan? Can this stalker be stopped before someone gets hurt.

Hell Hath No Fury (Life is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie 4 Stars
Let me start off by saying that I love this series. Delilah and Sheridan are demons and when Delilah decided to move to Juniper Lake, Sheridan followed. Being a hedonism demon, Juniper Lake doesn’t have much to offer Sheridan but a certain officer has caught her eye. Since they moved there, the supernatural world has leaked into Juniper Lake. Sheridan is worried that she is the reason Millicent is being targeted. Can she protect her or will Sheridan be the cause of her death?
I really liked Sheridan in the first book, she’s a little nuts. I was happy to realize that this book centred around her. The story will pull you in with its mystery and intrigue. The characters are well rounded and likeable. I have followed this author since her first book and watched her writing get progressively better. I can’t wait to see what she has for me next!

I really enjoyed this book, so many times I laughed with this book. It was a good short read I loved the book. I really enjoyed writing. This book had me laughing out loud so many times during this book. I will definitely be reading more from this author in the future!
The second installment of the Life is Hell series. Anytime I see that Ms. Valkyrie has a new book, I make sure to get it as soon as I can! Most of the awesome characters from the first book are back in this one, and I’m really impressed that the the characters continue to grow and become more of a team in this book. This book concentrated on Sheridan (a demon) and Millicent (a town deputy). Millicent’s is being stalked by a creature unknown to the group. Together they come up with a plan to try and keep Millicent safe.

If every book in this series gets better as we go, then I am not prepared for the rest of this series. I seriously loved the first book and this one has now tied with that one for me. Sheridan was a hoot in book 1 and I couldn’t wait for this one and she did not disappoint. I read this in one sitting, its not super long but engaging and keeps you guessing. I now can’t wait for the next book!

Hell Hath No Fury (Life Is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie is a fantasy paranormal romance story. Naomi’s story telling gets better with each book and this one is my favourite to date. As always, her narrative is on point and her characters are delightful. It’s an original storyline that is a good strong story. I love this well woven multi layered tale that Naomi has made so easy to become a part of. There is something for everyone, with danger and drama, love and magic, sassiness and so much more.
Naomi’s growth as an author is a pleasure to see shine through.

What a sweet romantic read! I loved reading about Asher and Jasmine. When the hot reaper takes a holiday to escape the ghost start to pile up! This causes problems for Jasmine and Asher that they may have to work together to solve! Will they be able to set aside their differences to get the ghosts back where they belong? What made Death want to take a vacation in the first place? This is a great fast read!

Can we just have a second for me to fan girl all over this new series? I can’t get enough. I love the Life is Hell series and devour them the second I get them open. I read this in one sitting and probably neglected my life for a few hours, but SO WORTH IT. Naomi Valkyrie is one of my newest favorite authors. I can’t wait for the next one- read this series. Please read in order, that way everything makes sense the way the author intended. This book focuses on Millie and Sheridan, who in the first book were just supporting characters. Great word building and story line. Can’t get enough, I’m officially a Naomi junkie!

I really enjoyed this novel by Naomi Valkyrie. I enjoyed watching the journey of Millicent and Sheridan as they found each other and love for each other. It was also good to catch up with the rest of the gang and to see them happy together. The story included a couple of twists and turns in the story which made it a real page turner. Naomi Valkyrie is a good author and I look forward to reading more from her.

Finders Reapers: A Paranormal Romantic Comedy (New Orleans Nocturnes Book 4) by Carrie Pulkinen, is another fine little paranormal Romance. Always a quick read full of humor and sass. Jasmine and Asher start out on a wrong foot, and it doesn’t help that neither one can just be honest with one another. Why do we do that? Communication can solve a boatload of problems. A little bit of mature audience only going on in this tale but not enough to overload the story.

Carrie Pulkinen has out done herself again! I fell into this series completely by accident and it has been one of my favourite accidents yet. Carrie Pulkinen, has yet again, created a hilarious, original supernatural love story that hits you right in the rib cage and leaves you searching for the next book. So come step into this beautifully written, unique and entertaining world filled with reapers, necromancers, ghosts, vampires and the occasional talking cat then sit back and enjoy the ride …. or portals, boats, magically doors, you know, however you want to get there.

This story was so different than anything I have read in a while. The characters were well written and the story had a decent pace to it. The narrator did a good job doing the different characters, this was a first time listening to him. I liked the inventiveness of the story itself with the realms and the different types of situations everyone can handle, I was intrigued through the whole book.

Hell Hath No Fury by Naomi Valkyrie a five-star read that will pull you in. This is number two in the series and I loved the first and am so happy we get more Sheridan in our lives, we all need a little Sheridan especially at the moment, she may be a demon, but that’s not all she is. There is a great story in this one and some fantastic passion and excitement. The pacing is fast, but well done and once you start it you will not want it to end. This has been a great series and I cannot wait for more.

Hell Hath No Fury by Naomi Valkyrie is the second book in the Life Is Hell series. Personally I think these books are best read in order as the story and the characters are all a continuation from the previous book. I am always really excited when I pick up a new book by this author because I know I am going to get something exciting and unique. It was brilliant to get back into this series as I enjoyed the first book so much. It didn’t take any time at all before I was completely hooked on this story. I made sure to give myself a good chunk of time to read this book as I would fly through it in one sitting. I loved the main character in this book – she is such an interesting character to read about. I instantly connected with her and wanted to read more. If you haven’t yet discovered this author then I would urge you to change that immediately. She is a fantastic author and everything she writes is just amazing. This is another 5* star read and I cannot wait to see what else this series has to offer.

I have read a few books from this author but she continues to blow my mind. I absolutely love paranormal romance but she always exceeds my expectations. This is the fifth book of the New Orleans nocturnal series. This book could be read as a stand alone but there are previous characters in this story as well. I was so excited to read this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. I could not put this book down until the end. It only took me a few hours to devour this awesome book.
Asher needs a break from being the reaper so he goes on vacation. He is having fun but he leaves his door unattended which is a big problem. Asher doesn’t realize that someone escapes from the underworld which causes even more problems. He then has to get help from the one girl that gives him butterflies, Jasmine. She is a necromancer and she can tame usually any ghost but when Asher’s door gets locked she has to help him figure out a way to get these ghosts back. Will Asher and Jasmine figure out how to open his door or will they have to answer to the devil himself?

This is the story of Asher and Jasmine, one a reaper and the other a necromancer, they both deal with the dead, but they do get in each other’s way, but when Asher takes a vacation and leaves his door unattended, the ghosts know of only one other person who can help and much to her annoyance, it is Jasmine.
Jasmine opens the story at the morgue she works in, she is helping a couple of werewolves find out if someone died after being attacked by one of their kind, or whether it was just a normal dog, so she calls the spirit back from the other side to briefly reinhabit his body and give them the answers they are looking for, it is not the most pleasant of things to do, but as a necromancer, Jasmine is used to it, even if her clients normally end up throwing up in the bin. She asks if they want to go for drinks after the soul has been returned to the aether, but after what they just saw, it’s a resounding no, infact, it’s more often than not a no, people don’t like to associate with people who are around the dead a lot, this train of thought reminds her about Asher and how he ran a mile when she kissed him and asked him out, but when she goes to leave the morgue, she finds that the spirit she was talking to earlier is still waiting around by stepping through the poor guy and feeling like he sucked the energy right out of her, it turns out, that;s exactly what he was doing, a fun little weakness necromancers have. He starts talking to Jasmine and saying that he can’t find the light and neither can some other ghosts, but when they do find their way to it, the door is locked, Jasmine says that she will talk to the reaper for him, but has to go to a bachelorette party first.
Meanwhile, Asher is swimming in the sea and trying to get back to shore, he now knows why the no swimming sign was there, even being an immortal, he had struggled against the riptide, but now he is back safely on the beach, he thinks about why he made this impromptu trip to off season Aruba, it is to get his mind away from his emotions and a certain necromancer who he is trying to avoid and not think about how she makes him feel, reapers don’t usually have emotions and he always tried to play by the rules, but sometimes he just needed a break from reaping souls. So, drink in hand, he sat on his lounge chair and soaked up the sun, that us until another reaper materialises and questions him about his motives for being there, this led to more thoughts about how he is different from the other reapers and how he was scared that he may be falling for a necromancer and that would mean their fates would end up tied and he would become mortal and die, but was that something he wanted? It is during the conversation about how he had left his door unlocked with a fairy light on it that the consequences of that light attracting a spirit to cross back over from the other side, it is at this point that Asher rushes to check his phone and when that fries with all the notifications, he hopes that it doesn’t mean that his home is overrun as well.
It is when he gets back and realises that his door is locked that he calls in a favour to check what has happened in hell and indeed finds out that a ghost has escaped from his door and that it is the one who will cause the most problems for him, so when he asks Jasmine for help, she initially refuses him because of their past, however, when the ghosts keep coming to her for answers, she realises that helping Asher will be the only way that she can get some peace and quiet while also keeping her energy. Can this unlikely pairing work together to help the souls move on, or will the one who escaped keep causing more trouble than they bargained for? This is a romantic comedy with a whole slew of ghostly happenings and unusual elements added into the mix, but the end is only found by following along with their spiritual capers.

What a fun paranormal romance read. I really enjoyed following along with Donovan and Marty as they meat Alice. The little misunderstandings between the two are perfect to give the story a little extra drama, but the main focus was getting the creek fixed. Seeing their relationship grow and the sacrifices they are willing to make together to save the town is sweet. Marty, Donovan’s familiar, is a nice bit of comic relief and I found it hilarious that he had a gas issue. I look forward to seeing what is in store next, hoping it is the story of Alice’s friend Megan.

Another really enjoyable read from this series – I really like reading these books they are so funny and entertaining. The author has a great writing style that captures tour attention from the very beginning. I loved the banter between the characters; they had me laughing out loud so many times. The storyline was great, the Grim Reaper and a Necromancer – probably not two characters you would expect but they were great together. I loved the twists in the story it definitely made it less predictable than I was anticipating. I really hope there’s more to come from this New Orleans Nocturnes series from Ms Pulkinen – I am definitely loving these stories!

Faida (Heartstrings Book 2) by Brooke May was a wonderful continuation. I love the plot and setting of Brooke May’s world and this just added a different level. Faida is the second book in the Heartstrings Series by Brooke May. This is a short Paranormal Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I literally read in one afternoon I had to know what was going to happen. I loved Faida and even though she has had some things happen to her to cause her to have a icy she may have just met her match with Robert. He’s got an ex that did him wrong and he pretty much swore off love. His only love is for his daughter Alice. I absolutely loved Alice. Can Faida help Robert find his love? I highly recommend reading this heart-warming book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to see what this author brings us next. This is the second book of May’s that I’ve read. Fadia is part of the Heartstrings Series, but they are standalones. May can write and she knows how to do it well.
Fadia is a Cupid and helps Cupid with his work. Akio is her sister and she isn’t sure why there is a celebration when Akio matched a couple. A new job makes her see how things are. The quote I chose for Fadia is: “Hi, I’m Faida. Like Alice said, I’m her new nanny. I’m new to town actually.”
Robert is a single dad and cold hearted. He doesn’t let his guard down unless it’s to his daughter. He does want a relationship, but doesn’t know how. The quote I chose for Robert is: “Faida, I can’t deal with this right now. My VP is coming and I have a meeting to prepare for. Just … leave.”
Mika works for Robert and has been a good friend of his since his divorce. She likes working with him and she does like him. The quote I chose for Mika is: “I’ve never wanted to go anywhere. I’m happy with where I’m at and what I do. Robert is a great boss and I get raises when it is fair. I don’t get bored and Robert values my opinion. I worked for one other man before him and that man treated me horribly. Robert is nothing like the icy man most think he is.”

Hell Hath No Fury is the second book in the Life Is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I am excited every time I see a new book by Naomi Valkyrie. I know that it will be a great book and this book is not disappointing. The plotline has grabbed me from the first page until the last word. The fantasy, magic, demons, mystery, and secrets are what kept me interested. The characters are fully developed and make the story real. This is about Sheridan and Millicent’s story. I found the relationship between them fun and exciting. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens between Sheridan and Millicent. You will not be sorry.

Faida is book 2 in the heartstrings series. The books have much of the same characters in them but do not have to be read in order. Faida is one of Cupid’s angels sent out to find love for people. Faida’s newest quest is not that easy. Robert’s heart is closed off to all except Alice, his sweet young daughter. Faida had her own heart made of ice so she has ways to get through to Robert and help him find a suitable match. This was a quick read for me but doesn’t mean I liked it any less. Another great book by this author with a easy to follow story and I look forward to more by this author.

Another book by Brooke May that pulled at my heartstrings. It’s been a while since a paranormal romance series has kept my attention but this sweet and funny romance is doing the trick. Faida is a cupid that seems to always get the troublemakers and Robert is a single father to an adorable daughter. Faida and Robert both have icy hearts and it was enjoyable to watch them chip away at them. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

This was a sweet, fun, and original book. This is the second book in this series and can be read as a standalone but it is my suggestion that you read the first one for the best experience and because it’s a great book. We met Faida in the first book and in this one we get to know more about her. Faida is trying to help Robert get past his icy heart and open it up for love again. I also really liked Alice, her character was cute and at the same time she was wise beyond her years. I read this story in one sitting because I didn’t want to put it down. I truly enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book.

Hell Hath No Fury (Life Is Hell Book 2) by Naomi Valkyrie. This is the 2nd book in this fun series. It can be read as a standalone but I always like to read the books in order to not miss a detail. This picks back up in Juniper Lake and its about Millicent and Sheridan. The only problem being is Sheridan is a hedonistic demon Millicent is human so Sheridan is trying not to let her attraction get to her. When Millicent becomes in danger Sheridan thinks its because of her so she feels like she has to do anything she can to protect her. Sheridan figures this is just her luck that once she finds someone she wants to give her heart to she is going to screw it up by getting Millicent killed or hurt. This book is so fast paced so be sure and buckle up cause it will take you for a great ride!
