If you like dark YA paranormal fantasies you have to read this series. I loved the way Slick developed the series and wrapped things up in this installment. This book was so well written that I flew through the pages before I realized I was close to the end. Engaging, riveting, and fantastic – this book and series weaves a story that captures your imagination and is the stuff dreams can be made of. Thoroughly enjoyed and hope to read more from this author soon.

Wendigo Forest by C.A. King, Usa Today Bestselling Author. This is a young adult paranormal fantasy read that is short and sweet but don’t let that fool ya. Its jam packed with fun! Its the story of Clara Fawn and she and her family were always on the move. She doesn’t have a lot of friends because of them always moving. As far as Clara knows her family has to move because of their job so she’s hoping this one will be permanent. When Clara goes to school on the first day she sees Hank and is in love. She can’t get him out of her mind and when he approaches her and invites her to hang out after school she is pumped. They later invite her to go camping so she does research on the woods called Wendigo Forest and when she tells her parents about it they forbid her to go. Well as you can guess she goes anyway and that’s when the fun begins! What will happen on this one night and will it change her life for the better or worse? Read Wendigo Forest to find out!
Wendigo Forest by C.A. King is yet another fantastic book by this author. It is a YA Novel about Clara and her family’s profession. From the moment I started reading this book I was drawn straight into the imaginative world the author has created. I could vividly picture everything she was describing and really became invested in the characters I was reading about. I loved the whole feel that the book seemed to have – not something I could specifically put my finger on but there was definitely that extra something there. I always think I have found my favourite book by this author and then another one come along a to prove me wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book and I am looking forward to my next ready by such an amazing author.
Tompkin’s School: For the Resurrected by Tabi Slick is the third book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. I highly recommend reading the other books in the series first. This book ends the series on a high note and allows the reader one final challenge with Izara and Kain. I have enjoyed this series and have recommended it to some younger readers. This has action, adventure, fantasy, mystery, and paranormal. The characters have developed over the series and I am sorry to see them go. When I have picked up one of the books it is hard to put down, but this was the hardest. I had to read from beginning to end as quickly as I could to see how everything would tie together. I look forward to reading more from this author in the near future.

C.A. King is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her writing is extraordinary with the flow, the action and the buildup as it keeps you craving for more. The suspense is heart pounding and easy to read as the story peaked my interest.

This is a novella that doesn’t say much but hints at a lot. The story ends and everything makes sense. It is a story that is superbly written. It is another paranormal story written with intrigue and mystery. I liked the main character and wished the story would have been longer but such as it is, it’s a very good read. I enjoyed the fact that the story involved less commonly known legends. Another excellent book written by Ms. King.

Bishop’s Gambit is the second book in the Redclaw Origins Series by McKenna Dean. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Dean, and I had no problem following the story line. However, this book intrigued me enough to want to go back and read the first book. The story flowed smoothly from beginning to end. Rhett and Knight are great characters. The dialogue is witty and fun. It was an overall feel good read, that I truly enjoyed. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more stories from Ms. Dean. Review by @sunbarn

Tompkin’s School For The Resurrected is the conclusion (Book #3) to the Supernatural Academy Trilogy by Tabi Slick. As with the other two books, it is quite an original young adult paranormal academy story- with magic, friendship, danger, drama, mystery, action, adventure, suspense, ‘powers’, tension, chaos, opposing forces, paranormal and supernatural elements, and all with crucial time slipping away; all woven around some first-rate world building. I think this is probably the darkest of the three books- which I thoroughly enjoyed, pulling me in right from the beginning. I found myself avidly reading every detail to discover just how things would play out in the end. Ms. Slick definitely left the best till last. I really recommend reading books one and two before starting on this one- so you have all the information you need to fully appreciate this intense finale. I am definitely curious to see what Ms. Slick does next and how she plans to top this series.

I believe this is my first book by this author and I was totally entertained with this story. It is not in my go to genre list but the cover and the synopsis drew me in and I had to read it. Its a quick read but we really get a great story out of it and now I am wanting more! Great characters and I could just see every detail in my mind. Will be looking at more from this author as now I need to know what I’m missing with not reading anything until now!
This is a story about the Fawns, an ordinary family, mum, dad, daughter, but their life is anything but ordinary, they have to move towns all the time for work and these continuous transitions are hard for them all, but hardest of all on Clara. She cannot make friends, she cannot find love and she cannot let herself get attached.
We meet Clara as she is travelling to a new town and another fresh start, she is starting to get sick of it and lose her patience with her parents’ constant need to move, but she goes along with it as they see their new home, as the grey rain falls down. The sign for Chance was overgrown and hidden from view, a great start, next came the size of it, small, a place where everyone will know each other and not making connections with people will be harder than ever, but would also mean that they would be easily forgotten when they eventually had to leave. The house came next, a large country house backing onto the woodland which surrounded the entire town, a driveway and a large yard, not what they usually went for in the slightest.After unpacking everything and getting settled, the first day of school and her new life would begin, but that is also when the dreams start, a dream so realistic that it stops her getting a good night’s sleep, just what she needs before her first day and it stays with her throughout that day as well.
Clara enters her new school expecting the worst, the comments about the new girl, the stares and the lack of fitting in. However, this first day was different, it was when she saw him, Hank and he sticks in her mind the rest of the evening as well. The next day, Hank approaches her and invites her to hang out with him and his friends after school at the shake shack. As much as she doesn’t want to make connections, she always ends up making them anyway, so she agrees to meet the group of friends after school. The rest of the day passes and she gets to the shack, which looks exactly how you would expect it to from the name, she goes to look at the names of the ice creams there and is confused when they are named after animals. When she asks about this, they say it has something to do with a local legend, but aren’t allowed to say anything else about it, but that she should go camping with them in the woods on friday and if she does go, then she can join their group, with that they leave her to decide what to do.
She decides to do a little research of her own when she gets home and that is where the Wendigo pops up and the revelation that the forest around the town is called Wendigo Forest. It is around this time that her parents expressly forbid her from going into the woods, but she does it anyway and this is where the story really gets going.
What will happen if she goes into the woods? What is a wendigo and should she be more scared that one may be in the forest? Will her new friends let her join their group, or will something stop her?
This one night will be life changing, but will it be for better or for worse? This story of fantastical creatures, twists, turns and mystery, is a journey you will want to go on too.

This is the second book in the Redclaw Origins series. I loved this book as it is a great mix of mystery and paranormal adventure.
Rhett Bishop is an agent with Ravenclaw who look like a normal investigation agency however what they investigate it the strange and paranormal.
When there have been sighting of UFO’s and strange things happening in Forest Grove, Bishop is given her most challenging assignment yet.
With the help of Peter Knight they go undercover as a suburban married couple to fit in and uncover the truth. However with their budding relationship will they be able to put their feelings aside and concentrate on their task? Can they solve the mystery together as a team?
This is my 3rd book by Tabi Slick and the last book in the series for Tompkin’s School. I love the writing style of Tabi very much. I can’t wait to see what else she puts out there. The main focus is still the twins in this story. Other characters are important and I enjoyed them. Everything is so neatly intertwined, my opinion is read them in order. If you’re looking for a book that keeps you on the edge of your seat, with some sorcery and great adventure this is the series for you!

This is a wonderful box set that has exciting and enjoyable stories to read. They are stories that include the paranormal. Witches, shifters, and vampires make up the included characters. They have a safe place called The Sanctuary. The stories are well-written and had me hooked. The characters I believe are a large part of why I love the stories so much. The women are intelligent, strong, independent, and resourceful. The men find them irresistible and hard to stay away from. There is chemistry and attraction between them. I couldn’t help but root for them all to find happiness. There are very romantic scenes included. Read this book set to find out what the future holds. Besides the main characters, there are also additional characters that are introduced, and I enjoyed reading about how everyone interacts. The author does an amazing job of making the stories come alive and I didn’t want to put them down until I had finished the final page. Don’t miss out on an entertaining set of stories that you will fall in love with. I highly recommend reading this box set.

I loved reading the book No Rest for the Wicked (Life Is Hell Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie. It is a paranormal story that had me hooked from the very beginning. I love the character of Delilah Hawthorne. She is a demon who is burned out and needs a break. She finds herself in the town of Juniper Lake. Little does she realize what is in store for her. Delilah is intelligent, independent, and has plenty of sarcasm. I enjoyed reading about how she sees the world and herself. She also is finding herself in serious situations. She is determined to gain as much information as she can to help not only herself but those around her as well. This is a very entertaining story. I enjoyed reading about the additional characters who interact with Delilah. The author does an amazing job of creating a well-written book that I didn’t want to put down until the final page. I want to know more about Delilah and the other characters in the story. Don’t miss out on a wonderful tale that doesn’t disappoint. I highly recommend reading it.

Sarah Sorry is just like every other teenager, she has friends, family, school and all the pressures that go along with them. She is popular, pretty, and on a strict self-imposed diet so that she can stay that way.
We meet Sarah as she is going to a landmark festival with her family where she wants to meet up with her friends instead, it is held the last two weeks of summer every year and there is lots to see, do and experience. As she goes off with her friends to find a group of guys from school, they go on rides and then for something to eat, being a cheat day, she allows herself the carbs she normally avoids. This is seemingly all she has to worry about when she goes to meet her friends, until it isn’t.
The day after the festival, Sarah finds that she has to go into school a day early to pick her classes for the year, even though she would rather be spending time with her friends, but while she is there, her teacher looks like he has seen something in her teeth, she feels mortified to realise that it is a spot on her cheek and decided the only thing that she can do is to pop it, but quickly has to leave the school bathroom and premises when the mirror starts to melt and give off some seriously toxic gasses.
Later on that day she is preparing to go to see her friends when she gets another spot, which unfortunately, her little brother sees and she is mortified again. After the last time she dealt with a spot, she decides to go to the local river and take care of it, what she doesn’t know is that this time it has another affect and later that evening, a beaver knocks on her window and demands to be let in out of the rain because he is soaking wet and it is Sarah’s fault!
The next day Sarah realises that this is no normal beaver, he has just made himself a plate full of waffles and complained about the lack of maple syrup in the house and the revelations just keep on coming when she has to change schools because of the closure of her own and when a teacher goes to her home and tells her that she has been accepted into her school and it is the beaver who made the application for her.
What she doesn’t realise is that she is no ordinary student, this is no ordinary school and she is not going through ordinary puberty and her life is about to change forever. This is a coming of age story with a twist, will Sarah be able to come to terms with her spots and the change which is coming, or will she be Super Sorry that this whole adventure started? It was good to catch up on old friends and I must say I fell in love with the main characters in this story as much as I have the others.

Super sorry by C.A. King was not what I expected at all, but I loved it none the less! Sarah Sorry’s story is definitely fast paced, and I just couldn’t put it down. This author knows how to keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat, needing to know what happens next! This is my first book that I’ve read from this author, and it will definitely not be the last! I definitely recommend both this book, and this author!

Everything about this read was enjoyable from the scenic setting to the relatable characters. I love books like this especially the suspense of detective works. Both characters are lovable with their chemistry between the two. Full of adventure, suspense and mystery was worth the read alone. I think you’ll enjoy everything this book has to offer from the action, dialogue, and the world the atmosphere the setting is. This is so entertaining!

Her writing skills are such that she makes you feel part of the story as well as characters that pop off the pages. This boxset is no different. Each story is full of action, romance with characters that are creative such as witches, vampires and werewolves. Hot characters that bring each story to life and each are unique in their own way. A paranormal adventure that you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I picked up this book because I was intrigued by the description, and the cover is awesome. The story was not at all what I expected, but it made for an entertaining read. Make sure you have enough time set aside because you will want to read this all the way through in one sitting. I can’t say too much more about it or it will ruin the experience for you. Give this book a chance, or you’ll be Super Sorry you missed out!
Tompkins School: For The Resurrected by Tabi Slick is the third book in A Supernatural Academy Trilogy. Personally I do think you need to read these books in order to fully understand what is going on. This book is a great addition to the series. I loved getting back into the lives of the Twins and seeing what adventure they found themselves in the middle of this time. As with the previous books I thought this one was exciting and interesting the whole way through. It took no time at all to get straight back into this world and familiarise myself with the characters that I have come to love. The author really knows how to keep the pages turning and the story alive from start to finish. It is a shame that this is the last in this series however I am excited to discover more of this authors work.

I loved reading the book Tompkin’s School: For The Resurrected (A Supernatural Academy Trilogy Book 3) by Tabi Slick. It takes you on a ride that doesn’t stop until the final page. It is a book that includes action, danger, and suspense. I love the characters of Izara and Kain. They both have their part to play in this story and I loved reading about how they deal with what is going on around them. They both care about each other and would do anything to help the other out. Some forces have evil intentions and plans. Will they be stopped? I found myself turning pages to find out what happens next. I was on the edge of my seat. This is an exciting and entertaining book that you don’t want to miss out on. This is the third story in a trilogy and to fully understand what is going on they this series should be read in order. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend the trilogy and this book.

This is a great young adult story. It is shorter than normal for this author but I would say it would be a great introduction to the author and their stories and type of writing. Even though the story was shorter it didn’t lack anything and kept me gripped from beginning to end.
Clara is constantly on the move with her parents. She doesn’t know why but her parents job means she’s moved all the time. As a teenager it’s hard for her to keep adjusting to new towns and meeting new people. She is scared to make friends for the upset it causes when she leaves.

This creature lives in the forest and preys on people. Should Clara be worried about the Wendiago? Does it even exist? Or is the danger hiding in plain sight?
Once again Tabi Slick has brought another incredible addition to this engaging, action-packed and adventurous series, and this one just like the previous two books is unforgettable from start to finish. These characters never fail to bring this story to life and make it what it is, and incredible fantasy read. This characters have been brilliant from the very beginning and seeing them being pulled in separate directions makes you dive in deeper wanting to find out more and see whether this is something they can overcome. This book will hook you and you will not want to put it down, it flows effortlessly and you will not be disappointed at picking it up. I highly recommend this read and can’t wait to read more from this author.

I loved this book. I have read all of this author’s books, this is my favorite yet so far. This is a well developed story that is a great start to a new series. The characters brought the story to life for me. I had no problems connecting with them. Delilah is such a great character and my favorite. It is so great seeing a character that is so strong and female to boot. She feels that she is a burnt out demon so she takes a break only to find herself in a small town that has many secrets. Will she learn there is no rest for the wicked or will she find the peace and quiet she desires? This is such an engaging story that I couldn’t put down until the last page. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I loved this book! It’s written well enough to stand alone (which I’m thankful for as I grabbed it without reading book one). Suffice it to say, I loved this edition and will quickly run to read what I missed in the first installment in the series. Regardless, this fun and flirty caper had just the right amount of sass, intrigue, and fantasy thrown in to keep in interesting and moving briskly. Loved every page and can’t wait to read more from this author.

Super Sorry by C.A. King was a fun light hearted read. I got a slice of life and coming of age read that got a lot of laughs from me. I loved Sarah Super, she felt like such a genuine character trying to figure out what route was best. I loved the development and the plot was great. I cannot wait to pick up another book by C.A King.
