Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1)Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Prophecy Girl is my first book by Ravin Tija Maurice. I was not sure what I would find inside the covers of this book. I was not disappointed. Ravin Tija Maurice built up the characters to be fully developed, believable, and made me feel like I have known them for many years. The plot line was engaging and I found myself turning the pages rather quickly. This story is about Camille Bishop and her first PI case by herself. When Jane Lowry walked through the door, Camille thought it was going to be an easy paternity case but that quickly changed as Camile started digging into the file. There is so much more to Jane Lowry’s case that left Camille’s head spin around. Will Camille be able to produce the information Jane is asking for? What other things will Camille find? I highly recommend you read this book.

The Scene (Dylan Hart series Book 1) by R.M. Gilmore – Review by Bobbi Wagner

The Scene (Dylan Hart #1)The Scene by R.M. Gilmore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved this book and the edge sitting suspense-paranormal it brings. This is a book that had me turning pages fast and kept me engaged throughout the story. I was pulled right into the story from the beginning. This is a fast pace story that I read in one sitting. The characters made me feel as if I was right there with them. Dylan is a journalist that takes on an assignment of a lifetime until it turns dangerous. The question remains if she will survive? How many more will turn up dead? Could the murderer really be a vampire? I loved Dylan’s character, she is full of attitude and she doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her. She is strong and seems to get herself in danger easily. She makes the story for me and I highly recommend her story.

Summer PrincessSummer Princess by Sloane Murphy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Summer Princess (Dark Fae Book 1) by Sloane Murphy is a dark paranormal fantasy book. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddd the ending, DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! Absolute total surprise and colour me Gobsmacked, very clever Sloane, very clever. The plot is very well thought out and cleverly orchestrated. There are some pretty barbaric and gruesome ways of the people of the world in which Sloane has created but you are unable to put it down.

They were all friends as children until a cruel and vicious execution of one of their own tore them apart. It seems what they have seen in front of them is certainly all a lie.

This is the first book I have read by this author and I will certainly be following up on other works.

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice – Review by Kerry Carr

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop, #1)Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Omg and wow. If you like paranormal stories and crime stories then this has everything you could want.

Camille is working as a Private Investigator in her uncles firm. Her first client seems like a straight forward paternity case but how wrong is was

The results of Jane’s test opened up a whole load of trouble when it proved she wasnt who she thought she was and that her father was actually a vampire who is head of a mafia group.
Things go from bad to worse when Jane is found dead. Murdered by her true family or someone else that is now the job of Camille to find out.

As well as this case she has to deal with her missing drug addict ex boyfriend and also secrets of her past that she was never aware of.

Its a great story from page one. I couldn’t put it down.

Serenade By T.K Lawyer. This story follows Kingsley and Eva. Kingsley has been looking for his mate for a very long time, he feels empty and just wants to find his mate to fill the void in his hear. Eva is not looking for a man after her past relationship, she’s not too keen to start up another one just yet. Both characters were well written and easy to warm too. I love wolf shifter stories and this one is probably one of the best so far. I was pulled in from the start, the author kept my attention and did not disappoint, I did not want it to end.

Summer PrincessSummer Princess by Sloane Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I give Summer Princess (Dark Fae Book 1) by Sloane Murphy, 5 stars.

This is an amazing fantasy book obviously inspired the works of George R. R. Martin. This is not a happy-go-lucky book. There is so much tragedy and emotions of all kind in this book. Emilia goes through so much but she learns and grows as the story goes on. But she is not the only character in this book and the other characters are just as interesting. You may not like them all, but the author does a wonderful job of making them real. Then there is the story itself. This general type of story has been told before, but that will not deter you at all. The world this author creates is spectacular and you will be drawn in immediately. I cannot wait to read the next book.

If you are a fan of fantasy that has some darker elements to it, this book is for you.

Summer Princess by Sloane Murphy a five-star read that will warm you up like sun rise. This is the first novel the Dark Fae series and I cant wait for more, this one kicks off with a bang and shows you just how enthralling this story is going to be and continues to hook you in and not let go, the you reach the end if like me you feel a tad bereft, I finished this last night and had to wait till this morning to write this as I didn’t know what I was going to write other than what a journey I have just been on. I am now eagerly awaiting number two in the series as although I have enjoyed reading Sloane Murphy before this one just knocked my socks off, she must be having a little something extra in her morning cuppa as the writing was bursting with flavour.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I loved reading this book and tore through it honestly in about 2 hours because I was so enticed by it. Erin R Bedford write this seemingly normal story that turns into this exciting, steamy story with all these twists and turns as you get to know all the characters throughout the story. You get to see why they are the way they are and why they make each decision. I think my favourite in the main character because shes so strong as sassy. She stands up for herself even though throughout the book it does get her into trouble but its admiring none the less. I’m very excited to read the next book she writes in the series!

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1)Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice is a murder mystery paranormal urban fantasy story that has a little of everything to draw you in. There are a lot of characters in this book and Ravin did a good job of setting the scene and writing them as people and bringing them to life. It is a story full of emotions but the unpredictable makes it hard to put down.

The world in which Camille lives is anything but normal as she soon discovers as she ventures into her role as a PI. She learns that life is not as black and white as she believed and those she can trust are few in numbers. Not only that but she has to come to terms with who she is and what those around her want with her new powers.

Prophecy Girl has set the scene for what is to come from this author.

“Witches and wolves don’t mix. Or do they?”
Kingsley, the Artic Wolf doesn’t have a mate and had given up hope of finding his fated mate until Eva, a witch walks into his life throwing him a curveball. Meanwhile Eva had long given up on men and love but can not deny the chemistry between her and Kingsley, there is just something about him she can’t ignore. Kingsley also can not ignore Eva’s scent and is determined to win his mate over.
This is a paranormal romance with a touch of magic, between a wolf shifter and a Witch. I loved the characters and the storyline line kept me hooked from page one. It was set in a wonderfully atmospheric Alaska setting. The chemistry between Eva and Kingsley sizzled off the page and there were some very heated scenes between the two of them. I was cheering them on to a happy ending. A great read.

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop, #1)Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Prophecy Girl is the first book in the Camille Bishop series by Ravin Tija Maurice. It is a very original mix of crime, mystery, and paranormal. This is my first read by Ms. Maurice, but after reading this story, it definitely won’t be the last.
I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect going in to this book- but the blurb intrigued me enough to want to find out. While there were times the story lagged a bit as the foundations of the story/series were laid out and characters introduced- but, overall this was a great first instalment in what is shaping up to be a captivating series.
Camille Bishop is a PI who thinks her first solo assignment looks to be a fairly straightforward paternity case- but things soon get quite complicated as interesting twists and developments are woven into the storyline. The paranormal element was quite a clever addition to the story and made the whole thing even more interesting and compelling. So, this first case for Camille sets her on an adventure of discovery- taking her on a journey that she never expected.
The characters were all interesting, fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks and flaws. I am intrigued to see where the story and rest of the series will lead- what awaits us in book #2- can’t wait to dive in.

Thank you, Ravin Tija Maurice!

Serenade by T.K. Lawyer is an interesting read and a little different from the usual paranormal shifter stories. T.K. is a new author to me and I enjoyed the story of a witch and a wolf shifter and a slow burn romance.

Kingsley wants nothing more in life than to find his mate but telling her the truth of what he is needs to be done carefully or he could lose her forever and that is not an option. Now he has found his mate he is not willing to let her go but getting her proves harder than he imagined.

Eva has powers she is afraid of and her trust in men is non existent but she can’t help but want the strange sexy man she just met. If only she could trust him and not hurt him with her powers in return. He seems too good to be true and she soon finds out he may just be.

I am interested in reading more from TK.

This book! Like I am legit struggling with how to properly blubber on about it with as much passion and excitement that I want to without giving away too much and spoiling this gem for anyone else. This is a new author to me and honestly I went in blind solely based off the bada** cover that graces it. I was so glad to find that the contents behind that cover would blow me away just as much as it did. This book will take you on a journey you didn’t know was missing from your life and leave you addicted and craving the next fix/book as soon as you possibly can get your hands on it. I know that is exactly where I am right now. Only saving grace for me was I can go read other released novels of hers while I wait!

Summer Princess is quite the tale of love, drama, danger, fae, and mystical creatures that will surely steal your heart away. Almost immediately you are thrust into this dark and disparaging world with the main character, Emilia. She is forced to find a way to survive in the darkness right along with the fae themselves. What will ensue will be an adventure and a romance you don’t want to miss. I can’t say enough good about this book so go read it for yourself and find out just what you are missing!

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop Book 1) by Ravin Tija Maurice – Review by Francis O’Sullivan

Prophecy Girl (Camille Bishop, #1)Prophecy Girl by Ravin Tija Maurice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Prophecy Girl is the first book in Ravin Tina Maurice’s Camille Bishop series. Bishop is a PI, just starting to take her own cases. What seems like a simple case – a young woman worrying that the man she thinks is her father might not be – quickly turns complicated. The case leads Bishop into a paranormal world, and offers to shed some light on the fate of her own parents.

I like how this series combines the genres of mystery and paranormal. The story is very much grounded in reality, and so takes the reader along when it expands into fantasy.

Bishop is an interesting character. She’s very self-analytical, but nonetheless confident and determined to finish the job. She’s got a good support network and reaches out to them for advice and help – I particularly like her cousin Kiera, who followed the family tradition of joining law enforcement.

This is a great book if you can’t decide whether you want to read a classic mystery or a paranormal adventure. It would also be a good way to get a taste for one of the genres if you’re already familiar with the other – a way to bridge the gap. For me, it’s a four star book. Great characters, and an intriguing story!

I was completely blown away with this little murder mystery read from Ravin Tija Maurice. She is a new to me author that really grabbed my attention and has me aching for not only the next book in this series but anything else she may have already released. I am going to be going on a binge here soon of her works but this was a perfect way to introduce her writing style to me.

Prophecy Girl is the first book in the Camille Bishop series, and you get that first book vibe for a lot of the first part of this book There is a lot of character setup for side characters and storylines you just know will make a reappearance at some point in the future. I really love Camille, our main character gal. I did struggle at first with her only because I was so irritated with all the crap she was taking from the loser boyfriend Jesse. I won’t lie once that resolved it was easier for me to dive in and really get to know Camille and the other things that were going on. I had not expected to be introduced to some fantastical characters but I loved how Maurice made it work and seem believable. For me that was an enhancement to the story. I can’t wait to find out what will come next!

TK Lawyer is a new author to me, so I had no idea what I was going to get when I picked up Serenade by her. It was quite the fast and interesting read. I loved how this may not be my go to for choice of genre but I thoroughly still found myself enjoying the book. I am curious to see what else she has written that I can sink my teeth into soon. I look forward to seeing if we will get more along the same storyline as this one though as well.

In Serenade we get the story of Evan and Kingsley. I loved how these two were both pushing/pulling each other. It made me sit on the edge of my seat to figure out how this would all turn out for them. Kingsley is a wolf shifter and that throws in some extra drama for the two. I won’t go into much more details because I feel they would destroy the story for you. You will just have to take my recommendation and scoop this up to find out for yourself. I am sure you will find yourself falling in love with these two soon!

Blood Rebellion is a story full of suspense, action and thrills. I really enjoyed reading this authors work. The story was really fast paced and entertaining. The characters were well written. The plot was very enjoyable as well. The main character Casey is on a mission to track down a rogue vampire. What holds you is the fact that not everything is what it seems. When you feel you have it figured out bam you’re thrown another puzzle piece. I’m shocked that this is the first story I am reading by this author. I can’t wait to read more. You will not be disappointed reading this. If you enjoy strong lead characters, a little romance and some awesome action this is for you. Lisa: Coming of Age by KM Lowe is the first book in The Guardian Shifters series. I absolutely loved this story. The main character Lisa faces so many challenges and uncertainties, but her character remains strong. She relies on those around her, her adopted family, her best friend Marcus, and his father Jasper, to help her get through discovering a world that was completely new to her. Lisa and Marcus’s relationship was truly special. They shared a bond from childhood and then fell in love with each other. Marcus is so protective of Lisa because they are soul mates. They seem unstoppable, but they face some challenges that would rock any relationship. I really enjoyed reading Lisa’s journey as she explored a new part of her life and I look forward to reading other stories in this series.

I enjoyed this paranormal story. This is not my first book by this author but it is my favorite. I never hesitate to pick up this author’s books. They are well written with connectable, lovable characters that make the story realistic. This book is no different. It is a story of a witch, wolf and fated love. Kingsley is a wolf who has given up on finding a mate until he meets Eva. Eva has given up on men but there is something about Kingsley she can’t resist. Can a wolf and a witch be life mates? I love their chemistry and their attraction to each other. They are strong characters that kept me turning pages, I had to know what happened to them. Is it possible that they will find their HEA? I highly recommend reading their story to find out what happens with them.

I loved reading the book Serenade by TK Lawyer. I love wolf shifter books and this story is an example of the reason why. The book pulled me in from the beginning and I quickly found myself lost in the story of Kingsley and Eva. Kingsley is a wolf that hasn’t found his mate. While he may be popular with the women he meets, he is looking for the other half of his soul. Eva is a woman who after her last relationship has decided not to date. While she finds Kingsley handsome and charming, she doesn’t believe that he is for her. He can have any woman he wants. Kingsley recognizes Eva from the first moment she came into the room. Eva is falling for Kingsley. What will happen when she finds out he is a wolf-shifter? What does the future hold for Eva and Kingsley? Read this book to find out. I love how Eva is kind and caring. Kingsley is at a loss on how to get Eva to accept him as her mate. I grew to care about both of them with each chapter that I read, and I wanted them to find happiness. There are other characters that are introduced and many of them become friends with Eva. There are also a few that have their own agenda and plans. This is a book that has an atmosphere of romance and some scenes are red hot to read. I would highly recommend this story.
