Unlikely to Fit is the 2nd book in the Parker Lake series. While the characters do overlap, the book could be enjoyed without reading the series in order. This book focuses on Breckin and Griff. They have known each other forever, but didn’t really KNOW each other. They share common friends and were sort of pushed together, and both resisted at first. Then they slowed discovered their feelings for each other, which were made stronger by their broken hearts. They are such a fun couple, and I was glad their story had a happily ever after. I look forward to the next book, because I want to know what happens for them. The ending was perfect. Highly recommend this book, series and author.

I’ve enjoyed this sweet romance so much! I love getting to know each character more with each book. This one follows CC and all her stubbornness. I also really like her style! I am also a Wonder Woman fan! Brant is so sweet and understanding. There are some hurdles to get pass but that’s how love works. You also get to still have updates on characters from the previous books which I really love.

This being book 2.I am absolutely falling in love with the town of Parker and all its residents. This is the story of Breklin and Griff, it is a well written story of love, second chances and learning to trust all over again. You just can’t help falling in love with these books. Oh, and just wait till you meet Griff’s MeeMaw!

This sweet romance is a great start to the series! I absolutely love the small town in this story. All of the characters are amazing and I would love to have as friends. This author is really good with feel good romance and witty banter. I love Annie and her comfort in being herself. Wyatt is such a patient and loving character. I love this town and these characters. I have already read book 2 not realizing it was a series. You can read them as a stand alone but I highly recommend the whole series!

Brody comes back to Parker nursing his wounds after a workplace incident in NYC. Not sure whether or not he still has a job, he spends the holidays with his family, which has grown to include some familiar quirky characters. Carrying his own emotional baggage, he runs into Karen, aka “Raven”, a teacher friend of his sister’s. She has her own set of emotional baggage. As the family tries to get through the holidays, can these two work through their issues to come together to realize they make a beautiful couple? I found this book brought out all the feels. You can relate to their relationship issues. They have the spark, it builds over time. Even Kelda can’t kill their romance. Speaking of Kelda, who can’t relate to crazy relatives like Kelda and Burt just popping in and talking about bathroom habits, sex life and they are the elderly? I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard as I do when I’m reading about these two. All the wedding talk and romance is just beautiful in the story. The author truly has a figt for making ift feel very real. The people of Parker, Oklahoma could be from your town. The plot was great. It’s a real issue and it was handled well with no choppiness. A wonderful in a series that is one I’ll read over and over. A must for romance lovers everywhere.
Having thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series, I was really looking forward to this latest novel and to reading Karen’s story, and I was not disappointed. I loved being back in Parker, Oklahoma, with its small town living and as usual I was fully immersed in the setting due to the descriptive narrative. Karen Posey is the local school teacher and she enjoys a simple, quiet and uncomplicated life, and although her natural beauty has attracted the attention of every man in Parker, Karen remains irrevocably unavailable. Karen believes she is destined to be alone and has developed a wall of defence around her heart in order to protect her, and the secrets she lives with.
However, a chance meeting with a man in the town’s grocery store may just change everything for Karen. Brody Cooper left Parker as a shy, nerdy kid but has reinvented himself and is now a successful, confident alpha male, who’s also rather sexy. Brody has had to return to his hometown to figure out his future, as his hard built career is in jeopardy due to no fault of his own. The last thing on his mind is love, but then he meets the rather aloof Karen whilst shopping and his interest is instantly piqued. Now he just has to win Karen over with his self confident charm, if she will let him. The characters are wonderfully detailed, and I felt like I was there with the likeable and relatable Karen and Brody. I was definitely cheering them on hoping they would get their HEA. The heartwarming storyline flows well and kept me happily turning the pages, and left me thinking about the characters long after I had finished the last page. A wonderfully written story and a enjoyable and engaging read.

The Parker Lake series does not disappoint. The author does a great job of not only developing the main couple of the story but every character in the series. I love how each of the books in the series is a continuation of the previous book. This book follows Colleen, the third friend in the trio and the only single one now. Colleen is a business owner of a local hair salon that keeps the older females of Parker Lake. Brant thinks that Colleen hated him since she always avoided him. Brant even drives to Lakeview to avoid getting a haircut from CC. When Annie and Breckin come up with the idea to hold a bachelor auction to raise money for Colleen to open a gym, she ends up winning a date with the hottie nurse practitioner Brant. The chemistry between these two is amazing and you can pick that up through every page of this book. I can’t wait to see where this series expands to.
This is the second book in the Parker Lake series that I have read. Just like the first book, the author had me hooked from the first page. This book is very relatable as it has to do with broken hearts and second chances at love. Although I do not have a crazy cat lady for a meemaw, Kelda(Griff’s Mema), was absolutely hysterical! Every time she was part of the story she was causing some kind of good chaos. When Brekin Henderson moved back to Parker Lake she never thought her husband would leave her for a freshly graduated 18-year-old head cheerleader but he did. Now Brekin is forced to not only see her ex-husband daily but pick up the pieces of her shattered heart. Griffin Stephens also is back in Parker Lake to heal a broken heart because his wife was killed in a motorcycle accident. Taking over his grandfather’s bar Griff is now the ears to listen to everyone else’s problems. One night Brekin is with her two friends drowning her sorrows in margaritas at Griff’s bar when Brekin is too drunk to drive home. Griff drives her home and tucks her into bed. In a series of events, Griff and Brekin begin to get close. Could these two heal each other broken hearts? Absolutely love this author and can not wait to see what other great books she publishes!

The town holds a bachelor auction and CC’s friends buy her a date with the hot nurse practitioner. CC can see that there is chemistry between them but believes she isn’t good enough for him as she is only a hair dresser and to top if off he is only planning on staying around for 3 years. Brant is hot, single and smart surely he is the complete package except he has a crippling amount of debt and scars from a not so great childhood. Can they both overcome everything they have been through and realise that they can help each other with love and trust. Great read
