Safe Harbor: A Logan McKenna Mystery Book 5 AUDIO BOOK by Valerie Davisson – Review by Piper Foster

Logan is enjoying her first vacation in years and along with Ben and her family make the most of some summer fun on the Oregon coast. Logan and Ben even have tickets for an in-home classical music concert featuring visiting musicians from China.Logan finds herself in another homicide investigation but this time she is a suspect. How can she prove her innocence?Valerie Davisson took the time to make her novel work on multiple levels. Safe Harbor is book 5 in Davisson’s Logan McKenna Series, but it is the first of her novels I’ve read. She did a good job of giving me the background information I needed without interrupting the flow of the story. Still, I would recommend other readers start with the first book.

Fake Fiancé (A Second Chance Office Romance) AUDIO BOOK by Amy McKinley – Review by Piper Foster

This was an emotional read. It is a story I love and the characters are so well written. I really enjoyed the concept of this story and the way it was paced not to fast not to slow. I like how we got to read from each character POV. Other relationship’s and dynamics are also shown which further impact’s this storytelling. Pasts can have an ugly way of revealing. I love the audio person on this book they done a great job of converting the characters.

Key West Dead (Jake Wolfe Book 6) by Mark Nolan – Review by Piper Foster

Key West DeadKey West Dead by Mark Nolan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the 6th book in the series following the lush Jake Wolfe. Jake and Sarah attend the wedding of one of his marine buddies down in Key West. The marriage is short lived as the newlywed’s boat exploded while they were sailing away. Someone calling himself Orion is threatening even more explosions unless he is paid $30 million. It is fun to hear some of Cody’s thoughts, he is one of the best characters, and I know there are dogs out there as smart as he is. I highly recommend this book and this author.

The Luminara Series: Box Set Volume 1: Lussuria - L'amore -Lucca's LustThe Luminara Series: Box Set Volume 1: Lussuria – L’amore -Lucca’s Lust by S.J. Molloy
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

8 only would recommend this series for those of 18 + because of the content and triggers.
Book 1 – Was a fabulous start to this series. We are introduced to Lexi’s life as whole and realising what she has came through is so heart touching. Watching her fall in love with Lucca was beautiful. Lexi has an extremely troubled past which you get an insight into and Lucca is there the Italian stallion with a heart of gold trying to bring her into the light. The story grips you and you wish to read more and make sure that Lucca excels at his duties and main aim.

Book 2 We are counting with were our story left off. Lexi’s past has come to Haunt her.

Book 3 This time we are reading through a diffrent POV.

However the series to me was a tad slow and development of characters could of been done at a faster pace.

Electric Temptation (The Protectors, #5)Electric Temptation by Toya Richardson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Toya has mastered the art of storytelling. Her characters came alive on the pages and her writing style captivates the reader. An absolute page turner. She empowers her female characters and gives them the opportunity to lead. A page-turner! I admired her creativity in the characters’ abilities, the vivid descriptions of each scene and the portrayal of strength depicted through the female characters. I was a bit sadElectric Temptation (The Protectors Series Book 5) by Toya Richardson – Review by when it ended- Electric Temptation is one of those stories that the more you read, the more you want to know- but you don’t want it to come to an end.

Wolf's Beautiful Beast (The Untold Stories, #3)Wolf’s Beautiful Beast by Suzanna Lynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a very enjoyable book to read. RED AND Rapunzel are very faststicing characters. I loved getting to see Red again and get more of Wolf’s backstory. Beauty and the Beast vibes take precedence in this book and I loved the tension and tender moments between Wolf and the princess. This combines the big bad wolf with beauty and the beast. I really hope Suzanna Lynn doesn’t get tired of doing these because they are an amazing combination.

In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety (The Cecily Taylor Series #2)In Over Her Head: Lights, Camera, Anxiety by Krysten Lindsay Hager

Is a nice funny, sweet romance. We catch up with Celicy and see how she’s coping Cecily is no different to any teen except being in the spotlight of course, but she still has the teenage angst, anxieties, friendship issues, drama which makes her a relatable character. The disparity between the real world and the celebrity world leaves Cecily with low self-esteem and makes her doubt her relationships. It explores first love, celebrity, conflicted friendships, misunderstandings, secrets and the negativity of social media. Well written, this story is easy reading, for any age group, but has the most appeal for its intended audience.
