My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wowee! Kayla ia hiding back home from an abusive ex and runs into Jaxon….a blast from the past. Only home puts her parents in danger because of her ex so she ends up at Jaxons. Jaxon is ex military and has never stopped wanting Kayla even though he is her brothers best friend.
You have Jaxon working a mystery on his end and Kayla running on her end and they both end up colliding…past and present. You have hot military guy, plenty of suspense, a killer storyline, and enough angst to laat a lifetime! Amy does a story right! Fantastic from beginning to end!!!!!!!

The Earl and the Peahen (The Scarlet Salon Book 5) by Jean Wilde – Review by Raylene Green

The Earl and the PeahenThe Earl and the Peahen by Jean Wilde
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Although this is the fifth in the series, it can be read as a standalone. It is of course, a historical romance. Lots of drama and witty banner. I don’t normally enjoy historical romance but this one was a good read. Jane and Alexander are very opposite, but when misfortune lands on both of their laps, not only will they have to work together, but they forge a friendship as well…or is it more?! Read to find out!!!!

Twisted Throttle (Satan's Devils MC Second Generation #3)Twisted Throttle by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Noah is Peg and Darcy son or Throttle as he’s known to the club. He is their enforcer in a ladies man. Not interested in having an ol lady until Gwen comes back into his life. He’s attracted to her, but buries it…or tries. Plenty of dips and turns in this book as we get to the heart of Throttle. And that twist at the end!!! Unputdownable from beginning to end!

A gripping thrill-ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat. O’Flynn knows how to keep you on the edge with the story a fast-paced roller coaster from beginning to end!

Witness: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 9)Witness: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This series is like a fine wine; it gets better with age. This is a standalone, but best to read the others first. Detective Petrosky has lived a heck of a life as a detective. And he’s sure that this B&E will be a simple case but ends up being a complication that Detective Petrosky doesn’t need…in many ways. With the many twists and turns, this book gives you, it necessary to not give anything away while reviewing. You cannot go wrong with this series!

Capturing Fate by Abbie Roads – Review by Raylene Green

Capturing Fate (Fatal Truth, #2)Capturing Fate by Abbie Roads
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the kind of story I can get down with! Intense, fast-paced, and plenty of action as you are brought into Dolan and Daughters story. And while this this the second in the series, you don’t need to read the first one to understand this one. Dolan is an FBI agent and after Daughter meets him, she knows there is something between them. Circumstances prevent that at first and they endure a rough road. Their journey is an epic read!!!

Stormy's Thunder (Satan's Devils MC Utah #2)Stormy’s Thunder by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

  1. Broody. That’s the prefect word to describe Stormy. He’s very mistrusting of anyone and his attitude makes him unlikeable. You learn Stormy’ s back story here. While we know he deserted the club, this history of his gives you a peek as to why he did it. Cat is the prefect anecdote for him and their story will rock your socks off!!View all my reviews

THE GRACEFUL GHOST: A story for girls rich with authentic ballet school detail and sparkling with ghostly mischiefTHE GRACEFUL GHOST: A story for girls rich with authentic ballet school detail and sparkling with ghostly mischief by Eleanor Dixon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story seems more like a children’s book. The working reminds you of older time—historic perhaps. It’s a very whimsical story about Grace, who is a ghost who inhabits Amberwood Hall, and Lauren, the little girl who Grace thinks could end up helping her achieve her goal. An exuberant story for all ages! A fun read for anyone!

Stone of DestinyStone of Destiny by Nadine Travers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a paranormal fantasy about Juniper, who has to get something called the Stone Of Destiny. She has to protect it from evil doers. This first book journeys you through on her destiny. You even get a bit of interested from Drake for Juniper. This book is well written. Just not something I carry normal interest in. Plenty of adventure and a good storyline.

Claim Me NowClaim Me Now by Lea Nolan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in this series but can be read as a stand-alone. Raven and Jack both end up in the same beach house trying to forget about life and it stresses. Neither one is what the other expected and as they turn what was supposed to be a bit of fun into something potential both Raven and Jack found out that they have A LOT more in common than they originally thought. Well written characters, book, and plot I’m a new Lea Nolan fan!!!

This is Grumblers and Mary’s story. And it was interesting because its an older couple and that isnt something you see often. These two are matched perfectly. Its a slow pace but works perfectly because its a bit more in depth. This is quickly becoming a fantastically favorite series of mine!!! Bravo Manda!!!!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is books 4, 5, and 6 so you have to make sure to read the first 3 for this to make sense. You see great growth out of Friday in this series. Of course, in this series, ‘normal’ is anything but normal in this case!’ Especially since Friday is part of a reality tv series for superheroes. Without giving anything away, the characters are well written, and the growth not only with Friday, but all the characters and the book as a whole as well! A great series for anyone to get hookes into!!

The Saint of Liars (Lucky Devil #2)The Saint of Liars by Megan Mackie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a sequel so the first one in this series needs to be read first to fully grasp this book. We leave off with Rune, who has inherited this bar from her aunt after her aunt passes away. This book picks up 2 months after those events take place and in book one, she meets Saint and the events leading up to has caused Saint to take time to come to grips with it all. And even though she hasn’t seen Saint, Saint turns up when this new adventure hits. Megan has delivered a bright brilliantly costructed story for readers alike to enjoy!!!!

Composed: An Ash Park Novel (Volume 8)Composed: An Ash Park Novel by Meghan O’Flynn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the eighth book in this series and although I believe you need to read this series from the beginning, I caught on to enough reading reviews for previous books in the series for this one to make sense. I do plan on going back and reading the previous one though. Detective Edward Petrosky just comes off leave from a shooting. Stressed to the limit, when the police chief, a friend, is kidnapped, he kicks it in high gear when it becomes personal to him. He knows he has limited time before this killer gets away. There is so much going on in this book. Such a compelling and gripping story to dive into! Highly recommend this book. Meghan is rocking it!

Fatal Legislation: A Novel: Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 2 by Ellen Butler – Review by Raylene Green

Fatal Legislation (Karina Cardinal Mystery #2)Fatal Legislation by Ellen Butler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second book in this series. Best to read the first one as this is a continuation from that. You have art with the first book and a political type mystery with this book. Karina ends up being a person of interest when a senator ends up dead while talking to her. Karina starts her own investigation into what’s going on with what happened with the senator. The political side wasn’t bad even though it didn’t hold my interest As Much. Book had plenty of action, suspense, and drama to keep my interest. Fast-paced and easy to read. Ellen knows how to Intrigue you!!!

Aiden is a manager searching for new talent for a band when the lead singer of Zombie Butterflies gets arrested. Hence Aria and her band Blue Venus being the perfect opening. Aria and Aiden have serious chemistry and are drawn to each other and their feelings only intensified as the book goes on. Excited for the second book to see what happens!

Plenty of unexpected twists and turns, which makes for an interesting read! By the time you finish this book, you can’t wait for the next one! Another great read from Manda!!!

very entertaining slow-burn read. The banter between Jill and Milo is Fun. The relationship is both complex and multi-layered. You get back story with Snippets but it’s enough to set the stage with a brilliant story. There’s tension but Milo’s character is complex in the intimacy shared within these pages with Jill and Milo will have you turning the pages as fast as you can to find out what happens next!!!

Satan's Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5Satan’s Devils MC Boxset Books 1-5 by Manda Mellett
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

  1. This series was pretty awesome. If you’ve read enough MC books, you get the main components and how they work. plenty of drama, angst, and danger.
Turning Wheels is the first book in the set. you have Sophie, who after an accident, feels like she isn’t whole. She’s left trying to adapt to being in a wheelchair. She has a friend who ends up in danger and the friend sends Horse to help protect Sophie where be brings her to the Us and she meets Wraith, the VP of Satan’s Devils. In his sheer determination to protect Sophie, he develops feelings. you’ll have to read to find out what happens.
Drummers Beat is next. This is Drummer and Sam’s story. Drummer is president. Sam is part of a sex trafficking ring. Drummer does his best to deny his attraction. Fantastic mix of action and drama! A great addition to this series!
Slick Running is the next in the series. This is Ella and Slick’s story. Ella helped the Satan’s Devil’s and then ran. Slick is determined to help her. Their story is dark. It’s emotional . This one kept me nail biting!!! A homrun for Manda for sure!
Targeting Dart is next in the Series and one I looked forward to! Dart doesn’t think he can offer Alex anymore than friendship. But he tries to keep her safe from her ex. The love and devotion he shows in this book make it super emotional. And a favorite of mine! This series truly gets better and better!
Heart Broken is Heart’s story. he is hurting. he is angry. he doesn’t see anyone or anything else because of the grief. This one is one I related most to. the feelings conveyed are so real and heartbreaking.
This series was a masterpiece from beginning to end! Well done!View all my reviews

This is the third book in the Hero High Series. Denial and Anger need to be read first. Many more surprises in this book with plenty of action thrown in!! You follow Friday, a student at Hero High, and the school is also in a reality show with the other students. While dystopian, you definitely get real parts while reading, especially with Friday. And that surprised me. This has to be the best in the series so far!! Pick up the first one and read all about her quest for the truth!!!
