What a fantastic story! Hassan took us on the ride of a lifetime in this urban fantasy tale. I found it intriguing, engaging, exciting and quite enthralling. The characters were developed to be the most delightful creatures out of your imagination. That doesn’t mean good but just fanciful. The storyline was such a surprise because I wasn’t expecting an urban fantasy (nope, didn’t read the synopsis.) I loved the flow. You went from normal story right into the fantasy. Great job and I look forward to reading more from this author. New author to me and a new favorite. Highly recommend
This fantasy was definitely different from the normal fantasy that I typically read. But it was different in an amazing way. Centered around a coming of age character with plenty of amazing support characters, magic, witches and more I simply couldn’t put this book down. This book was just perfect it was fast paced, and intriguing while the plot was full of originality and a uniqueness. So if you need a new read then look no further then this one

Chad and Kendall are two people that fight the chemistry they obviously have. She’s a sports reporter. He’s a hot MMA fighter. This is an entertaining, sports romance. The drama unfolds as Kendall’s just trying to find a way to keep her job. The characters are well-developed. I can just picture walking into a gym and meeting them. They just feel so real and down-to-earth. The plot line flows smooth. The humor has you chuckling, even as a few twists are thrown in. There’s even an appearance by a “Dick Tracy” wannabe, lol. A romance read that’s perfect for that chuckle you may need. It’s modern, contemporary and I recommend you buy it.

I have my world on track, everything is going brilliantly until I see the person who broke my heart all those years ago, but he still has the draw he used to have, but I don’t know him anymore he lives in the shadows. Can I put myself those the torment again to have the only man I only ever really loved.
I have to say I have read a few books by this author and this book does not disappoint, the chemistry between these two characters jumps off the page and I was drawn into their world. The characters compliment each other brilliantly with the sass and fire from Evelynn and the dark moody side of Damian this just adds another depth and element to the story.
From the start my heart had a little space for Damian, as a child being dragged around state to state by his father just wanting to stay in one place long enough to make some friends was hard to read, but through the book you saw snippets of light when he meets back up with Evelynn was just a joy. I hope that some of the mini plots come off as books as I would love to see conclusions to some of these stories. As always can not wait to read more.

This is the second book in the Kingdom of the Elf Lords series. The author continues this saga with the very loved characters heavily dipped in Norse Mythology. In my opinion, this story is very well-developed, and a little less confusing (for me) than the first book. All of the background has been set for us to fully enjoy the 9 worlds and characters in them. Very gripping uniquely spun fantasy that transports you once again into a realm you wont want to leave anytime soon.
The author delivers suspense, disappearances, and of course strained familial bonds. In this tale you have shapeshifting, different creatures like; Fae (and dark Fae), wolves, undead, among many others. Of course… there is romance, in a sort of enemies/lovers way and secrets relationships.
Our beloved Emilian being forced to do what he doesn’t want to do, but is obligated to do over and over again. He is easily one of my favorite characters, and I’m always shocked by his choices, he’s not the easiest man to read.
Can Emilien and Hel work together long enough to save the very fabric of the nine worlds, or will they let their humanity lead everything to ruin? Can Shalendra ever find it in herself to accept her destiny and forgive her father? I wasn’t disappointed, and will need to read the next in this series to find out!! In addition to that there are so many other stories by Heidi Vanlandingham I’ve found I may need to add to my reading list. Thank you so much for such an excellent continuation of this series, what a thrilling read!!!

Friends with Benies (Paris in Springtime Book 7) by T.B. Bond. This was such a fun book. Its a shape shifter, paranormal romance. Its about Wednesday and Ryker who have been best friends forever. The only problem is Wednesday has feelings for Ryker that’s more than friendly. The only problem is Wednesday thinks someone else is Ryker’s soul mate so she is afraid to say anything to him because she sure doesn’t want to lose him as a friend. Ryker is in love with Wednesday too but is afraid to tell her so when they decide to take their relationship to the next level with no strings things get super complicated. Lab Spill (The Cool Thing Series Book 2) by Robert Rife. This is the best dark comedy, sci fi read. I loved this first book so I was so excited to read this one. It can be read as a standalone. Just like in the first book this one is no different with lab experiments gone wonky. These experiments leave us with crazy mutants and all kinds of misadventure. All the great characters are back from the first book along with some new ones. This read is twisted, weird and full of murder, mystery, monsters and tons of craziness. Once you pick this book up you will not want to put it down. If you don’t like dark, twisted comedy this might not be for you but I loved it. Can’t wait for the next one!

Finally Elena and Marco!! This is the fourth book and while you can jump in here, you will miss the lead up to these two characters. A lot of background is covered in previous books. So the Mafia is tough and the Mafia sons are even tougher, but these Mafia daughters are no joke. They have not just seen the danger, but lived it. You immediately know when they are strapping weapons to their thigh that things have gotten out of hand before and they learned to be prepared. We know Elena’s name. She was often referred to in the other books but now we get to know her. She was definitely my favorite. Danger, secrets, and loyalties collide. I could not put this book down!
#7 Wow, this plot…it’s just fantastic! I mean we have a mafia princess, a human trafficking ring, and a marriage of convenience. What’s not to love? Mia is taking charge of her life. She decides to get away from her father and the human trafficking, but she knows that will be the ultimate betrayal. She needs protection so decides to go to her family’s rival. She approaches Nico with a proposal of marriage. One that will benefit them both. Nico is the epitome of quiet strength. Their arrangement may be of convenience but their chemistry is undeniable. The author’s grasp on this subject is absolute. She is queen of mafia romance.

I really enjoyed listening to this story. Beulah has moved to a small town in Texas after her grandmother passed away. She buys a merchantile store with the money she inherited and it is her new beginning. She moved from New York as she felt unwanted there not only by the people she thought were her friends, but her own parents. Poor Beulah grew up thinking and feeling like she was ugly due to a scar on her face received during an accident. This especially seems true to her after a broekn engagement to a man that didn’t want her just the fortune she would eventually end up with. The only person that ever showed her unconditional love and support was her grandmother. Lucian ended up in the small Texas town two years prior to Beulah. Although they didn’t know each other their families were in the same social circle. They both have a lot in common as they will soon come to find out. As their attraction grows both parties start to open up and reveal their pasts but are both afraid of getting hurt. Soon enough the people they were trying to get away from come barging back into their lives unexpectedly. Will they be able to keep budding romance alive or will their pasts be too much to overcome?

This was a great 5 star read. Gemma is on a mission to get some answers. But when she meets Dominic, sparks fly and he is such a charmer. Dominic finds some things out about the mysterious Gemma. What exactly is she up to? Will Gemma get what she is looking for? Can she keep her heart out of it?
Overall this was a great read. I liked both characters very much. Dominic was a hot alpha male, he always seems to get what he wants. Gemma is great, she challenged Dominic and was strong herself. The chemistry between these two came off the pages. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. I look forward to reading the next book in the series. The cover of this book was honestly the first thing that drew me in. I have always loved all things supernatural, other than vampires and werewolves; fairies have always been my number one. Once reading the synopsis the author had me hooked and I had to read The Gauntlet and discover the mysteries within its pages. From page one we are in Links perspective as he sees Ommily for the first time entering The Soppranaturale Hotel. Drawn to her he cannot help the spark that ignites within them when their eyes meet for the first time, but there is one major obstacle, she is there with her human fiancé. Link believed that he was the last of the Fae, having searched the world repeatedly and finding nothing to give him hope of finding another like himself. Kyran the owner of the Hotel and vampire sensed the new Fae the moment she entered and was at Link’s side moments later to help. In disbelief Kyran informs Link that they are one in the same that she is a Fae making them the last two in the world. He is told that his soul mate has showed up on his doorstep and yet all he can think about is how she is someone else’s. Within hours of meeting, it is confirmed that she knows that she has powers and that she has perfected them and can use them as easily as breathing. When they are near each other they both feel stronger and more powerful, each reaching new depths to their powers that they hadn’t reached before. They are one another’s perfect opposite. Male Fae is the defensive side, they deflect attacks and are a shield. Female Fae is the offensive side, they can attack their enemies and manipulate the elements. Legends say that fairies or born in twos for this reason they each have their one spark that makes them an unstoppable force when together. They are both artist her preferring to draw while he prefers to paint. Link shows Ommily the grounds of the hotel, the gallery and tells her about the gauntlet, a place for the supernatural to practice their abilities without fear of humans seeing them. Everything within them tells them they belong together. Her engagement is painful not only for Link to witness them be together but for Ommily that must hide everything about herself while also submitting to Preston’s overbearing and controlling ways. This book was a perfect mixture of adventure, mystery, and curiosity on what would happen next. The author’s world is truly magical while also being normal to the humans that surround it. I cannot wait to read book two The Guard and see where Link and Ommily’s story will take them next.

This is the first book I have read from this author and now I’m hooked. This is the second book of the divine devils series. This book can be read as a stand alone but some of the parts of the book you could get lost if you don’t read the first book. I’m going to read the first book and then reread this book. I can’t wait to see what this author will write about next.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by Luna Saint Claire but was not disappointed. Personally, I felt this story started off a little slowly and introduced many names into the mix (almost to the point of confusion), but leveled off fairly quickly. Right off the bat, I wanted to hate Nico; he seemed selfish, abusive, and narcissistic. But, the continued story gave me an inside look into Nico’s past that allowed me to better understand the circumstances that made Nico the way he is. I don’t think his past can excuse the way he treated people, but it does help understand him a little better. Luna Saint Claire creates such a vivid, expressive story that I felt like I was right there in the middle of Nico’s travels. The characters are diverse, realistic, and very well-written. Overall, The Serpent Awakens is a wonderfully written book that delves into a person’s spiritual and personal awakening.

I have read several books by this author including this entire series and she has yet to disappoint me. I loved everything about each one of these couples for all sorts of different reasons.
You get a little or in some cases a lot of everything that makes an action romance so amazing. Each couple is the focus in their book even the first where we are meeting this group.
Savage Secrets: Marco & Elena like most of the couples have known each other most of if not all of their lives. But of course nothing is normal in for them. So much happens and secrets are revealed
Ruthless Heir: Luc & Summer were a bonus book in my opinion. Luc had no idea the family blood lines led to Chicago and the families who run the city. What started as a one night stand is so much more. More secrets are revealed.
Collateral Damage: Trey is the handsome Dr who doesn’t want to get closer to anyone since the loss of a girlfriend. As you should know by now that isn’t going to stick.
Rivals: Nico is the bridge between two families once he finds his one. It’s never as easy as it seems but wow was this a great read.
The biggest lesson learned after reading this series is you do not want to anger a Mafia Princess or the men who love them in any way, shape or form.

I enjoyed both Ava and Cole’s characters. After what they have been through, I can see how pulling away from each other was a way to heal…but a lot was left unsaid and unaddressed in those six months. When six months of held-in frustrations and grief come to the surface, they are forced to deal with those feelings before they can even think about moving forward. They were going through marital issues that a lot of couples face and it made it feel that more real. I read the whole story in one sitting and enjoyed it.

As she ties up the loose ends in her other occupation as a Detective in modern day New York to take some vacation days, she has to bring allies into the fold, only some of which know the whole story, but she cannot risk anything more than she already is by telling them where she is really going. However, as usual things do not go smoothly and Tam’s sister Isabelle plays a key role in the journey, as does her ex-lover Theo North who has to accompany her in order for the two of them not to stick out any more than they know they will.
When they arrive in Marlowe’s time, the try and work out who is behind the accusations and so start to dig into the backgrounds of any clues Marlowe has left them, but the further they dig, he more tangled a web they find and time is running out for them all, especially when they have to battle a key witness of Marlowe’s death who also happens to be a shifter, but will they solve their puzzle and get Marlowe out in time, just so he can die the death he was supposed to? This is an adventure which is full of political intrigue, time travel and the supernatural, in this race against time which will have you on the edge of your seat throughout.

Savage Secrets is the 4th book of the series, I have read all the books in this series so far and have nothing but praise for them. In this book we finally meet the elusive Elena, who has been presumed dead for a number of years. When the threat that made her leave initially finds out that she is still alive, boss Marco is sent to retrieve her. When reunited the pair get to know each other again, without a pesky arranged marriage in the way. I really like how strong the female characters are in this series, Elena especially has her own very valuable skill set that she can use to protect those she loves.
Ruthless Heir – I think this was one of my favourites in the series so far. Each book in the series follows a member of one of the main 5 Chicago Mafia families and the nice difference in this book is that Luc doesn’t know he is part of the elite, through the mother he never knew he is the rightful heir to one of the 5 families. A successful businessman in his own right, he is surprised when he is forced to go to Chicago to discover his true heritage, taking his reluctant assistant Summer along with him. Summer is on the run from her past and doesn’t want to get involved with anything to do with the mafia but finds protection in the strangest of situations. I really liked this book, there is lots of action, strong female characters and interesting storylines.
Collateral Damage – In this book Dr Trey La Rosa is tasked with finding the kidnapped stepdaughter of a colleague, but it is not as straight forward as it may seem at first. Trey and Hailey need to work together to find out her stepfathers true intentions. I liked this book but feel it was a bit short, I would have loved more!
Rivals – This book is the story of Nico and Mia. Mia, after escaping from the clutches of her twisted family tracks down Nico for help and in return she will give him the information that he needs to take down her family. I really enjoyed this book, I loved the dynamic between the two main characters but the main thing I really like is how the men in these stories treat the women as equals, fighting side by side rather than being left at home while the guys do all the fighting. The female characters really make this series for me. Cannot wait to get my hands on the next book!

Mama Warbler is carefully protecting her egg when a cuckoo decides to lay an egg in her nest. Deciding to care for the egg, she is met with questions about her reasoning only to be praised when something unexpected happens.
Really well done for this book. The story talks about different types of birds as well as the elements the birds have to go to to protect their young.

This is book 2 in The Freemasons series. Even though it is part of a series these books can be read as a standalone which I love. Wow where to start with this story. This is definately a book for you if you like alpha males with an equally alpha female. The chemistry between them both literally flys off the page. This is an enemies to lover romance so it is full of secrets and lies but the attraction cannot be denied.
Dominic is part of the brotherhood of the Freemasons. He has vowed to protect the brotherhood from any dangers including their secrets being revealed. What he didn’t expect was danger to come in the form of a female. Now he must do everything he can to protect the brotherhood even if that means seducing and distracting the woman investigating them. But when did trying to seduce and distract turn into an attraction he can’t deny?
Gemma is a journalist, so when her father dies in strange circumstances she goes on the hunt to discover the reason behind his death. What she doesn’t expect is Dominic trying to get in the way of her finding out the truth. And as things between them become more serious what will happen if she ever really gets to the bottom of what happened to her father. Could it be one secret and lie too many or will their connection be strong enough for to move on?

I dived into this book, falling in love with the characters straight away, then realised that it’s not the first book in the series…oops. Thankfully, each book can be read as a standalone but now I want to read the stories of the 2 couples who came before, who have a large secondary role in this book. I hadn’t read any of this author’s work before so wasn’t sure what to expect. What I got was a great brother’s best friend romance that was filled with danger and drama too. Just what I needed to read on a wet weekend in Glasgow. I got totally lost in Raf and Ellie’s story. Raf has loved Ellie for years but she’s his best friend’s little sister – a no-go area. Added to the fact that he has a past that he’s ashamed of and things he’s not good enough for her. Meanwhile Ellie has loved Raf for years but assumes he just sees her like a little sister and not the grown-up woman that she is. This is an angst filled read that becomes spicy when the couple realise that they can’t hold back the feelings they have for each other. I really didn’t want to put this book down. 100% recommend.

Although this love story has a classic theme, there are several twists. The main characters are amazing, and the growth they show throughout the novel is phenomenal! The female protagonist learns to ask others for help, rather than always insisting on doing everything by herself or on her own. The male protagonist learns that he is worthy of love without having to do things for people. The pets are a great addition!

5 Stars The Victor (The Freemasons Book 1) by Nicole Flockton
Wow The Victor is the first book in The Freemasons Series and is a second chance Contemporary Romance that once you start reading there’s no stopping until you finish. You may want to have tissues near by as this one will have your emotions all over the place. Some parts my heart hurt for both of them. This series is off to a great start and I look forward to reading the others soon. This is a short story that packs a punch right to your heart. These two both have secrets and he’s not even close to letting her go without a fight. Can these two survive the secrets and move on? Is it to late and she’s determined to move on without him? I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I can’t wait to read more from this Author
