My only issue is that the characters speak too formally, giving long speeches/monologues that do not fit their personalities. The story kept me on my toes and absolutely shocked me! I cannot wait for the next installment!

This is the conclusion to a very enjoyable series. I do highly recommend reading these books in order as the progression of the story is important to understanding how this all comes together. It’s always fun to read a series in it’s entirety, but it can bring about a bittersweet ending to a family that you feel like you’ve become a part of during the time you were reading.
This story is sweet but not without drama, action, suspense, and a few deep rooted secrets. You’ll find yourself feeling like a part of this family, especially if you’ve followed them all the way through the series. I also have to mention this cover. Just look at those eyes and the scenes behind him! Both drew me into this book!

Secrets, Lies, and Betrayals is Book one in the Protect and Honor series. It is a romantic suspense full of danger, drama, action, secrets, lies, loss, mystery, trauma, betrayal, and political conspiracies. It is told from different points of view, which enables the reader to better understand each character. The story centers around the character of Michaela, or Lea, as she is now known. She has experienced a life of trauma and tragedy that started at a young age and has forced her to keep her identity a secret. It has caused Michaela to live a life where she is constantly in hiding and trying to survive against an unknown enemy for as long as she can remember. Now someone close to her has revealed her identity and she must flee because her life is in danger. An intense, fast paced and action-packed read that will keep you reading until the final page. I look forward to the second book in the series.

In this third installment of the Sparky of Bunker Hill series, Sparky is trying to clear her boss Bookie. Bookie has been framed for a murder on Monkey Island. Also, Sparky has to deal with some not-so-fun developments like volunteering with Detective Bernie and Senior Officer Mug. This book is just as adventure-packed and fun as the first two. Sparky’s spunk is on full display. This girl is such a wonderful character. I love how determined and loyal she is. Her found family and friends make for some great interactions. The backdrop of 1932 Los Angeles is rich and engaging. It’s such a fun cozy mystery.

When a chance meeting at the dog park had them running into one another the sparks were there. Will they be able to connect and get thru to one another and keep the humor they hit it off with?
This is my first book by this author and the first in this series and I am already searching for more and wanting more.

Sparky is back!! The Monkey Island Murder is Book 3 of the Sparky of Bunker Hill Mystery series and the story is quite enjoyable as ever. The story is a fun, historical cozy mystery with murder, mystery, mayhem, humor and antics. I do recommend reading this series from the beginning as you get to know the characters and build from there. Sparky is involved in a new mystery, this time trying to help Bookie proclaim their innocence as they were arrested on charge of murder on Monkey Island. Having to go back to school and now with this trying to help Bookie solved the who done it murder mystery….its bound to get crazy. Will Sparky help Bookie this time around with their super sleuth skills?
This was a fun read and quite entertaining. I look forward to what is to come with the next story in the series with all new mystery with Sparky!

What can I say abut this book, well this book really had me reading it till the end that’s for sure. It was filled with so many twists and turns, that really made me wonder what was going on next that I just couldn’t put it down. Like how can a couple, a detective and one legged man all have in common? Will this book do just that, with its story telling. I really felt like I was right along with the ride of this horror, gore, history and folklore ride of a story. it was such a well detailed and world that I really felt like maybe just maybe these people were actually real and maybe living down the street. This book really was amazing I love reading horror and gore and this book really made it worth the read. highly suggest maybe not reading this thou before bed!

I love that this book was a quick read. It had me hooked from the beginning and I didn’t want it to end. If you’re looking for a fun meet-cute with a nice flow, this is the book for you. Even though this book is part of a series, it could definitely be read as a stand alone as well.

Raccoon Reunion by Terri Sabol is a well written children’s book that children ages 4-8 can enjoy. Honestly children of any age can enjoy this story. My six year old son loved this book as it helped to overcome his fear of going to a new daycare and meeting new people. He related to this story and even said if Rocky can do it so can I. I love that it gives kids the little boost of confidence they need to push through. We’ve read a few books by this author and she’s becoming a favorite. The illustrations are colorful and bring the story to life. I highly recommend reading this book and follow Rocky has he learns to step outside the box and overcome his fears. We look forward to reading more from this Author.

Lost Hollow is the first book in the Alienville Series by Donna S. Frelick. I was so happy when I saw that Ms. Frelick had a new book coming out, and that it was the first book in a brand-new series. Woot!!! I have loved all her other books, so I really couldn’t wait to see what this new book had in store for us. This is an action-packed, sci-fi romantic suspense with plenty of intrigue, danger, adventure, mystery, secrets, drama, fate, politics, feuds/rivalry, race wars, discovery, a quest for the truth, small town setting, intensity, gripping developments, depth, rich detailing, vivid descriptions, wonderful world-building, multi-layers, community/clan/species dynamics, twists, violence, dynamic characters, agendas, tension, and emotion. Moira McCann arrives in the small sleepy-hollow town of Allenville, way up in the Smokey Mountains, on a quest to find her missing twin sister. Even though her sister is quite quirky, free-spirited, and can be a bit ditzy at times, there is something more to her ‘falling-off-the-radar’ this time. It gave me a bit of a sci-fi ‘Deliverance’ vibe, which I loved. I can wait for book two, to discover what happens with to Claire, and see where we go from here. I absolutely love this series! It just keeps on giving and I forever want more. Discovering Desire is the next book in the Shattered Embrace Series. A dark romance series leading us into the world of Dominates & Submissives. However this story focuses on 3 main characters vs the normal two. A menage you may ask? Well you will have to read to find out. Derek is reeling. His half brother is unhinged and his crime family is ready to replace him. They want Zachary at the helm but Derek knows that’ll never happen. It has to be him. Agreeing to do what’s necessary he makes himself an even bigger target than he currently is. Despite all that he has a club to run. A submissive or two to chase. Justine has been wandering around the club for a few years and still hasn’t embraced what the exchange of power really means. It’s the focus of her dissertation but can she truly write it objectively? Jordan has been Derek consistent for years. But never exclusive. Just a fall back on when they truly want to have fun. Just one problem Jordan is realizing she’s more of a Dom then submissive. Not that she doesn’t submit to Derek. She always will, but what happens when fresh meat joins the picture? I have read multiple books from this author and I was extremely excited to read it for story time tonight. This was a cute little story about a raccoon family going to their family reunion and their adventures while there. The artwork was super adorable, detailed and has some Amazing vibrant colors. My little ones stayed intrigued almost the whole time. 🥰 I look forward to discovering more of this author’s work, especially since the Kids loved it. If you have read this one or any of Terri Sabols books i highly suggest you do.
This was the first book I had read by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I skipped the first book inadvertently but didn’t feel lost whatsoever by starting on this one. I will say that since finishing this story, I have already picked up the first book because I needed more! The cover of this book stole my attention immediately. It’s simple but sophisticated and intriguing which fits the storyline perfectly. I loved that it is told by multiple points of view as it helps me get a feel for each of the characters and get inside their heads a little more. I read this in one day because I couldn’t put it down, and it felt like it went by incredibly quick. Although I don’t feel like anything is missing from this story, I would love to have had even more to read since the writing style of this author is absolutely amazing! What is going to be next in this series? I can’t wait to find out. I highly recommend picking this up before the newest one hits and you have to catch up!

Red is the first book I’ve read by MK Harkins. I was immediately drawn to the cover and its vibrant colors and soon intrigued by the fairytale retelling synopsis. I was not sure what to expect with a book loosely based on riding hood but I was pleasantly surprised. I feel like authors get “extra points” in my book when they include a playlist so this addition excited me right away. I loved the wit the characters had and found myself smiling at some of their thoughts. The book flowed really well and kept me interested. The imagery and vivid storytelling made me feel like I could pick up the vibrations and auras as well as the characters. I will have to go back and read book one!

Honestly, this was a really cute romance read. It sucked me in right from the get go, and I absolutely loved reading it. I wasn’t the biggest fan of switching POVs- and by switching POVs, I mean the author switched from third to first person, depending on the character in the book. I can understand switching POVs occasionally, but in this instance it just really wasn’t for me. However, I did really like the plot and everything else; so if you’re looking for something sweet and short, I’d give this a try!

I read this book without reading book one and I feel that it’s okay because the characters from book one are in this a lot but they’re you’re typical side characters so the story doesn’t feel confusing. I like the modern take on little red riding hood, Lilly is very trusting and sometimes is helpful like when she met Ashley and other times it’s dangerous. I wish there was more involvement with the fairy godmothers, I like that they’re able to watch what’s going on and get these vibrations when something bad is going to happen, and I know its against their rules, but I wish they could have been able to interact with the characters more. I enjoyed the parts with Harry and Ashley, they have me wanting to go back and to read book one. Honestly, I felt George was full of himself but I am glad that he and Lilly get there happily ever after. I thought the friendship with Ashley and Lilly was very sweet and I hope we get to see more of them in the next book.

‘Red’ is the second book in the ‘Modern Fairy Tale Romance Series’ and technically can be read as a stand alone but you get introduced to the characters in the first book ‘Ashes’. I would suggest reading the first book before this one to better understand the characters.
George is still wallowing in his depression after the disappearance of his girlfriend Laura. She left without even a goodbye so he never got the proper closure to move on. George decided to never get serious with a girl again to protect himself from heartbreak.
Lily is a sweet and sheltered girl who grew up being bullied. This causes her to fear rejection and to have low self esteem. When she meets George, sparks fly instantly and she finds herself attracted to him. Their mutual friend, Ashley, warns Lily that George may not be emotionally available yet. When he asks her out, she is quick to say yes. The date went great and Lily thought everything was perfect until George ghosts her.
Merilee, a fairy godmother in training, has to try to get Lily and George together within a certain time line or she will be demoted. She made this mess so now she has to fix it. Paired with an arrogant but sexy guardian Angel, she has her work cut out for her.
I really enjoyed the first book in the series so I was excited to read this one. I love Lily’s character. She is so sweet, awkward yet oddly charming. George comes across as a selfish play boy but he actually has a lot of depth. I cheered them on from the page they were introduced to each other.

Red is the first book I’ve read by MK Harkins. I did not read the first book, so you can definitely read this as a stand alone and not be lost. I now want to go back and read the first, as well as any other book I can get by this author! The characters and world building were spot on. I was intrigued by the cover and the overview, but completely entranced the entire book! My emotions were on the same rollercoaster as the characters! I loved them all but my favorites were Merilee and Zuriel! I hope there is more to come with them. If you enjoy modern twists on fairy tales, run and grab this book!

Family reunions can be fun, exciting, nerve wracking, trainwrecks sometimes! You just never know what’s going to happen or who you might meet. Rocky is going to his first family reunion and considering he’s never met his family outside of the city, he’s not quite sure what to think. He’s a little on the shy side but a situation comes up that he has the perfect solution to fix!
This is a super cute read that can evoke memories of your own family reunions of the past. It’s a great way to tell kids about their family and how keeping in touch is important. It also encourages younger children who may not be super confident that it’s ok to share a strength, even when they are unfamiliar with those they are around.

This is a new to me author and so glad I took a chance. This story was a pretty good love story. This book kept me reading and turning page after page. The main characters of Anne and Declan are victims of insta-love. One look and they were hooked. However, because of their beliefs (he’s her best friend’s older brother) and the situation (he is rising up through Dad’s company and keeping the family name at the top) neither actually believe their feelings. I loved the way things worked out though. Such a twist! Looking forward to more from this author.
This Time Around by Kimberly Packard is a wonderfully written Women’s Fiction/ Second Chance Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I pretty much devoured this book in one afternoon because I simply couldn’t put it down. My emotions were all over the place with this story. Some parts really made me think back to my teenage years and I found myself asking if I could go back would I change anything? No I wouldn’t because everything happens for a reason. The characters are fully developed relatable and complex. The storyline flowed well even going back and forth. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. It’s worth the time and I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

This is not my usual type of book but I thought I would give it a shot. I’m very glad that I did. This is a truly fascinating story based off the Revolutionary War. Seen throught\ multiple POVs, it really gives an intriguing view. I found the writing to be fairly accurate and the details were very well done. I think it’s a definite must read.

This is an amazing anthology of stories that make you use your brain I was left thinking and wondering about many of these stories. They were quite fascinating and intriguing to me. I don’t think I’ve read science fiction in a while that’s been quite so captivating to the mind. I sat and read this late into the night. I found it a really enthralling read.
I loved everything about this book. The perspective from a third person in a “relationship” is an experience I’m not familiar with and I enjoyed it! Each character was well developed and had their own personalities that meshed in a fun way. Honestly, Jordan was probably my favorite even though she wasn’t the primary character.
I also enjoyed the plot. Again, the plot was unique and had some turns that I was not expecting. I love everything I read by this author and I cannot wait to get my hands on more!
