Lily is on her way to college and looking forward to getting away from her mother. She is looking forward to exploring the world and finding out for herself if it is rally as bad as she has been told. When she meets George there is an instant mutual attraction, but George is still hung up on his high school sweetheart. With Geroge repeatedly rejecting Lily and not opening himself up to the possibility of being happy she is ready to walk away forever. A meddling fairy godmother named Merilee is the culprit behind this disaster and needs to fix it. Now Merilee must work with the handsome guardian angel Zuriel to make things right and neither of them are too happy. While they conspire and try to think up ways to avert the crisis there is someone in the wings from George’s past that is working to ruin everything. Will George finally open his heart to love or will he be doomed to be alone forever?
