When there is a serial killer on the prowl, will Cade be able to solve these gruesome murders and catch the killer.

Cade has been assign a case which will take all his years within the police to try and track and catch a serial killer who is killing blonde glamourous women. As Cade investigates the killer becomes more invested within the cat and mouse of the chase and will either one of them win this deadly game.

I have to say I was looking forward to this story but at times I was a little disappointed in the book. Although the story was full of twists and turns the actually sleuthing was not that difficult to predict who the killer was, it also was a two POV conversation of the two characters which was great but did not leave much to the imagination with for me is the best part of a book.

With that said the overall story was constructed well and flowed through the story very well, there were a lot of characters within the story to sometimes keep track of which did detract from the story some what sometimes but the main characters hold the tread through the book. All in all the book is a great read, I would like to read more by this author in the future.

Bound by Secrets is the second book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. The story centres around Kayla, a young woman who has found herself living with an abusive man who she thought she loved, when she decides to leave him he is not happy with the so she runs, straight back to her family in Honolulu but her childhood home is haunted by memories of her past. Her brother, who tragically died and his best friend, who was Kayla’s first love Jaxon. Jaxon is shocked when he see’s Kayla again after so many years. His feelings for her haven’t changed and his protective instincts kick in straight away. As well as hiding from her abusive ex and rekindling her lost love, Kayla starts looking into her brothers death more closely but she doesn’t like what she finds.
I enjoyed this book, it has a good storyline, likable characters and a good twist in the tale. Will definitely look for more books by this author.

I loved reading the book Cursed Sight (Broderick Coven Series Book 2) by AJ Renee. It is a story that pulled me in from the start and didn’t let go until the final page. I loved the characters of Ethan Broderick and Serena Bishop. Serena is strong, independent, and an intelligent woman. Ethan is strongly attracted to her. What does the future hold for them? Read this book to find out. The story includes romance and magic. It is a fantasy book that once I started the ending came too soon. I also enjoyed reading about the additional characters introduced. The author does a wonderful job of making the story and the characters come alive. Don’t miss out on an exciting. intriguing, romantic, and entertaining story. I highly recommend it.

What a fun and quirky book. I’m asking myself why I haven’t been listening to more books before now. I don’t honestly have an answer. This one had me chuckling and shaking my head a lot. I really enjoyed listening and Bonnie is something else. She meets and falls in love with Peter Hampton in 1969. But she dies one after having hot sex with her husband now finds herself in the “green room”. The Green Room is not really hell and certainly not heaven. She finds herself having a hard time coming to terms about leaving her soul mate behind. Find out if she gets her HEA in the afterworld. You guys this is a must read/listen which ever you prefer. But you won’t be disappointed either way.

Loved every minute of this crime mystery! From the first page, I was captivated by the authour’s flow and competent ability to draw the reader in close. The writing style was completely engaging; the plot grabs you immediately, and the fluidity is masterful. I was hooked and settled in to read happily.
Our hero, Investigator Cade Dawkins is smart and loveable – he is a standout among officers, and notices the pattern in killings before anyone else. As he pieces together clues to solve the brutal murders, the mystery winds in on itself, and he seems to be the only one that can untangle the web. As the game of cat and mouse races toward the finish, we increasingly have to wonder – who is the cat , and who is the mouse?

I wholeheartedly recommend this book for crime and mystery lovers, or anyone who appreciates an amazing storyteller and writing.

Second Chance Spirit: A Ghostly Paranormal Romance is the second book in the Haunted Ever After Series by Carrie Pulkinen. If you haven’t read the first book in the series I would definitely recommend you start there, as this is where we first meet these characters.

Tina and Trent already have a history and a whole lot of chemistry! Tina ended their relationship when things started to get too serious, so she’s a little surprised when Trent requests her help in selling a house. But, as is the way with these things, things don’t run smoothly and they are soon caught up in more than just their feelings for each other.

I am already a fan of Carrie Pulkinen, she manages to make her stories engaging, action-packed, sexy, and a little spooky. This book is easy to read and has the fun and humour running through it that I have come to love from this author.

This is the 3rd book in the Adams Brother’s series.I loved all these stories. I love how the brothers are single and proud and all it takes is one woman to change that and change them for the better. In this book we follow the youngest brother Sebastian Adams.
With his two brother’s happily settled down and his mum due to remarry Sebastian realises just how lonely he is.

However when he makes an alcohol infused mistake that leads him to rehab he has to give up his old life style. That means no touring with his band, no drinking and no women.

He seems fine with that after all music is his passion and if no women means he can get back touring with his band then so be it.
That is until he meets Maelie.

Maelie is a teacher at the store where Sebastian is now working. After a bumpy start between them and a few arguments over noise their attraction becomes too much to bear.

One kiss is all it takes to turn Sebastian world upside down. Should he be entertaining entertaining idea of being with Maelie? How can a woman be more addictive to him that alcohol? Can he be the type of man to have a relationship with a women like his brothers do?

Bound By Secrets is the 2nd book in the Deadly Isles Special Ops series by Amy McKinley. I have been a huge fan of Amy McKinley’s writing since I first read the Gray Ghost series and I always love when she releases a new book for me to indulge in. I had loved the first book in the Deadly Isles series Twisted Secrets and was looking forward to reading more about the Hale Brothers.
In this book we get the story of former Navy SEAL Jaxon Hale and his former best friend’s sister Kayla Kane. Jaxon and Kayla had spent one night together as teens and hasn’t seen Jaxon since she moved away following the death of her brother. Now he has Kayla back in his life Jaxon is going to do everything he can to make sure that she doesn’t ever leave him again.
I loved Jaxon and Kayla’s story. It’s a fantastic second chance romance with a lot more thrown in. Amy McKinley’s stories are always full of danger, intrigue, mystery and passion and Bound By Secrets is a fantastic example of her amazing storytelling talents. She has the amazing knack of being able to grab you straight away with the story and keep you gripped and entertained right up to the very end.
I’ve given every book of hers I’ve ever read 5 stars and this will be no different. This book is definitely worth the 5 stars. Highly recommend!

While these books are part of a series and can be read as stand-alone I guarantee you will be missing out if you miss even one of these reads. This read will have your heart pounding and leave you wanting more. It’s a fast-paced read that has you hooked from the very beginning. Finally, we get Seb’s story and its one not to forget. It’s steamy and emotional, heart-pounding and epic. They have an undeniable chemistry and an unforgettable connection. This is a story that stays with you. I highly recommend this read and this author, you will not be disappointed to fall in love with this story and get lost within its pages.

Where Flowers Bloom by Nikki Vale was a really thought provoking and emotive read. It is a bit of an historical romantic suspense- with some paranormal elements, where past, present, and future connect- leading the reader on an intriguing mystery that had me up way past my bedtime, as when I began the book I had only intended to read a couple of chapters to get a ‘feel’ for the story before going to bed… but one chapter led to another and soon I was so deep into the story I just had to stick with it and follow along to find out how it all played out in the end.
Nikki Vale is a new-to-me author, and after reading this book- I will definitely be on the lookout for more of her work in the future.
Quick and easy reading. Interesting and thought provoking story. Well developed and intriguing characters. A ‘clean’ read. Well worth exploring!

Konstantin is one fantastic author. I love the Sundown Series. Konstantin has continued to bring us amazing stories, and this book is no different. This post-apocalyptic story is a great addition to this series but can be read alone. However, as a lover of books, I recommend reading any series in book order. Max is a strong woman who suffers a seriously tragic accident that changes her world. It is hard to describe what goes on in the book without giving too much away but know that this story is both suspenseful and highly emotional. I rarely cry in a book, but this one had me holding back some sobs.
I recommend this book for YA, dystopian fantasy, mystery, and thriller. I highly recommended. 4 out of 5 stars.

This is the third book in the ‘Life is Hell’ series and I couldn’t be more ecstatic to be reading more of Naomi’s fabulous writing! Since falling into this series it has really been a wild ride.
The series started with Delilah moving into a small town and falling into the hearts of Malakhi and Caspian then goes into depth about Sheridan and Millicent’s sweet tale and then enters Teivel and Oren. I really enjoyed the first book ‘No rest for the wicked’ and the second book ‘Hell hath No fury’ stole my heart but this book…well it grabbed me by the front of the shirt and wouldn’t let me go.
I found Oren so easy to love, much like Millicent. He’s gentle, sweet, caring and I love reading his internal thoughts about being attracted to Teiven. Teiven is a demon and is easy to hate but still wanting more from him. Meshing these two fire crackers together… I never knew how badly I needed their chaos in my life.
I found this series to be so entertaining and I can’t praise it enough. The characters are a work of art, the writing is divine and I want more!

I couldn’t be more grateful that I fell into this series. I took a chance on a demon story, thinking that was all that it is. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’ll be honest when I say the first book ‘No rest for the wicked’ caught my eye but this book stole my heart.
I fell in love with Millicent, the deputy and adorable human, from the first book. She’s easy to like and I knew there would be growth to her. Another character that comes back in and makes a grand appearance is Sheridan, Delilah’s eccentric friend. The story explores these opposites lusting after each other and having no idea what to do about it either.
I love the LGBTQ+ representation from book one and book two. I’m also falling in love with Naomi Valkyrie’s story telling. For I adore how she writes high tension between characters and leaves you waiting for what will come next.

It has everything and more that I could ask for. A great story line, easy to read, a page turner with a dash of romance between three amazing characters.
Truly highly recommend this for all my supernatural lovers!

I was a little worried when I read the description of this story because it didn’t really grab me, and I thought that I was going to be bored. Happy to report that I wasn’t, this story is funny and sweet and absolutely delivers on its promise of a good laugh. I actually think it’s quite difficult to write genuinely funny stories, but Alexander nails it.
Ace is a comedian and Ella Craig is a bank teller, not exactly what everyone would call a match made in heaven, but Ace thinks she’s wonderful and wants her to realise how wonderful they could be together. He invites her to one of his comedy shows and bets her that if he can make her laugh then she has to go out for a drink with him. But Ace’s four friends, with their best intentions and somewhat questionable advice, may threaten to put a spanner in the works for their budding romance.
I genuinely liked this book and Alexander writes her characters with flair, Ace’s narrative was quippy and fun and was perfect for a cheeky comedian. With Ella’s narrative her you definitely got her sensitive side and her reluctance to trust people, and she is funny too. It’s a lot subtler and less in your face than Ace’s which I think I preferred. Again, I recommend this story and would read more of Alexander’s work especially if I want a laugh.

The Buccaneers of St. Frederick Island by Linda Maria Frank is book aimed at the younger age group but in my opinion this can be enjoyed by anyone in any age group. This is a short story that once I started reading I couldn’t stop. This is about a group of eighth graders who raised money to buy stuff for a homeless shelter in NYC, but there money goes missing so they as a group set out to find who stole there money. Then there club house burns down. Find out what happens next in this must read. This was a new to me author but I definitely can’t wait to read more from her.

Hell In A Handbasket is the third book in the Life is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. I will say this although these can be read as standalones I however would highly recommend reading this series in order as each book the characters build and you get to learn more about them plus the stories flow so nicely. Its funny how just a couple of years ago I wouldn’t have even given any kind of Paranormal books a second thought. Im so glad I took a chance on one because its become one of my favorite genres. This author continues to simy amaze me with her attention to detail and her characters are amazing to. I’ve read all of the books this author has read to date and this one is by far my favorite. This is a story packed with action, mystery, twists, and some m/m romance. This is a story about Teviel a Demon and a Oren Demon Hunter. What do you think would happen if a Demon and a Demon Hunter were to have a relationship? Find out what happens next in this must read. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is a very short story about dating whilst trying to avoid zombies. It was rather bizarre as it is written in 2nd person, and to be honest it’s not a style of writing I really enjoy.
The story takes the reader through a series of dinner dates, whilst trying to avoid being turned into a zombie.
I got the feeling that it was reflecting on dating in general, and that dating is dangerous regardless of potential zombies, that you have to be careful of the situation you put yourself in.
I liked the ending, it really suited the story.

Ace is just getting his career on the comedy circuit but once he sees Ella in the bank he feels he needs to get to know this woman.

Ella is flattered with the attraction and accepts the bet which Ace has placed down but when her friend explains that Ace maybe a player, Ella’s decision changes.

This story is full of humour and is a brilliant short story, the characters are well developed as usual and although this is a short story it does not feel like that, you want to know more. The story revolves around Ella and Ace, with him trying to make her laugh but with her insecurities on high alert as to will she be the butt of the joke.

I love Phoebe’s writing style and this is not the first book I have read and it surely will not be the last one.

I was not disappointed, from the first chapter this book grabs your attention. With a shocking prison break in the very first chapter I just knew that this was going to be one suspenseful and action packed rollercoaster ride of a book.
Color me surprised when I found out this was the second book in a series. So this can definitely be read as a standalone. I’m reading the first book next.

Goddess of Everything by Paul DeBlassie III was an interesting 4 star read.
I was pulled in right away with the authors writing. This is a different genre than I’m used to and I really enjoyed it.

We are taken to the land of Aztlan Del Norte, where Gabriel resides and works as a psychiatric healer. Gabriel works with children that are staying at the orphanage his mother runs. He helps them deal with things they have experienced. When children start to go missing things take an interesting twist.

Will Gabriel be able to find out where the children are going? Will he be able to keep his family safe?

Overall this was an interesting read. It was thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what was going on and who was behind it. All of the characters added a great element to the story. 1-click and get started today on this thrilling read.

Hell in a Handbasket is the third book in the Life Is Hell series by Naomi Valkyrie. Although you don’t have to read the first two books in this series, I highly recommend you do. The characters are amazing and Naomi’s writing just keeps getting better and better. This book was my favorite of hers so far. Her attention to details is intricate. This book grabbed me and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

Bound By Secrets (Deadly Isles Special Ops Book 2) by Amy McKinley has secrets, tragedy, an abusive ex-boyfriend, family relationships, and some twisted logic in the part of one character. This book is about Jaxson a recently retired Navy Seal and Kayla who finds herself in an abusive relationship and runs away to hide. Jaxson and Kayla have unresolved feeling for each other from when they were kids. The night they finally got together as teens, Kayla’s brother died in a tragic accident and things got kind of messy. Although Kayla was holding onto a lot of anger and hurt, she reaches out to Jaxson for help with Roy and how much danger she is in.

The story is well written and kept my attention. Jaxson and his brothers were in the first book so it was nice to have that background. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

This is a book full of plots twists and action-packed. It has plenty of suspense and intensity right from the beginning. The connection between Dolan and Daught is romantic but they definitely go through a lot, both together but also in terms of their past and backstory. So I really enjoyed following their journey. This is a bit of a thriller/paranormal which is not normally my kind of genre, but I did enjoy this nail-biting rollercoaster ride of a book.

Is This Me? (Being Me Book 1) by Tricia Copeland. I loved this book so much. It brought me back to my college days. Its the story of Amanda who is beginning her first year of college. She is most interested in learning and of course in boys. Her roommate is dating a fraternity guy so that opens lots of doors for Amanda in the dating world. When she meets Doug she thinks she is in love and he seems interested in her at first but starts to send her mixed signals. Doug just got over a bad breakup so she just doesn’t understand his intentions. Doug’s friend Zack is a player but when it comes to Amanda he seems different. When Amanda is hurt she must accept Doug’s help or risk losing everything including her scholarships. When she begins to lie to her family things begin to unravel. Coyote Summer by Laura Koerber is a coming of age book that deals with hard issues, teen drinking, rape, peer pressure and a host of other issues. This is the first book I have read by Ms. Koerber. I enjoyed the writing if not the issues. The story had me feeling like I was right there in Ben’s world. I also enjoyed the fantasy element in this book. I would definitely like to read more from this author.

Hungry Business: A Short Story by Maria DeBlassie is a lot packed into just a few pages. What would dating look like during a world taken over by zombies? A young woman is trying to find that someone special but will they be warm or cold when she finds them is the question broached by this short story. The horrors of the dating world and the horrors of being a human in a zombie-infested world make a new twist on the traditional first date story. This is a very quick read with a bit of horror and humor. I really enjoyed this quick read and look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

I found this book interesting to read because it deals with the harsh reality that marriage isn’t always perfect and happy…it takes a lot of work!
Kris and Nicole’s story is told from both sides….which took a couple chapters to get used to. However, once I did, I found it intriguing to see the story from both sides. Kris is in love with his wife…but wishes she would give as much effort to her family as she does to her job. Nicole is a workaholic who is trying to please her boss, at the expense of her family.
There were times that I found myself disliking both Kris and Nicole…only to come to the realization that this is real life. Relationships take constant work and failure to work at it, or let it sit idly on the sidelines, will cause to to begin to crumble.
This book is not a quick read…but it is worth it. I would set the book down and come back to it to see how their story would conclude. It just drew me in and I felt invested as the story continued. Overall, a good read!
