I can’t begin to describe how immediately transported I felt as I read this book. I was breathless the entire time and immersed into this world that was real and tangible. The storyline was so well developed I was certain it was true. Ullman completely left me spellbound with the crime drama. I simply cannot say more without giving it away. And I certainly cannot wait to get more from this author in my library.

Forgotten Truth is the first novel in the Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine. It is a sexy story that follows Bryer and her trainer Nathan.
Bryer works for a design and apparel company. She has started her life over from scratch after being burned by her ex. She has trust issues, but a huge crush on her sexy, mysterious trainer. like a moth to flame, she cannot avoid what she feels for him.
Nathan co-owns a gym where he is also a trainer. He doesn’t frequently cross the boundary of trainer and client, but when the lines blur sometimes there is no going back, especially when true feelings come into the mix.
I really enjoyed Bryer and Nathan’s dynamic throughout this story. They don’t each other well and while their relationship moves quickly, they begin to see that there are some issues that each of them need to work through. Some on their own, some together. I cannot wait for the next story in this trilogy!!

I loved this anthology. This is a collection of great stories by some awesome authors who have their own take of what Hansel and Gretel should be. Each story is unique and could just scare the pants off you. They are engaging and the twists and turns will keep you turning pages. The stories come alive with each of the characters which I loved. Some of these authors are new to me and some are among my favorites. I know you will find a favorite just like I have. Will you take a chance Down the Rabbit Hole? You don’t want to miss this page turner. I highly recommend this anthology.
This story pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the shocking ending. This is the story of a crime reporter that re-investigates the murder of Leah Marcus 10 years after it occurred. Her boyfriend has already been tried for the crime. However, the crime took place during the race riots of 2001, and the re-investigation uncovers times when classism, racism, and sexism may have swayed opinions of what really happened.
After getting used to the amount of backstory and facts laid out, I found myself intrigued by all the details and trying to figure out what actually happened. I do not want to give anything away. It is a really good read that is worth the time invested!

I loved this story. It was well written and i fell in love with the characters.
Bryer is a hardworking independent woman. She left her old life because of heartbreak that left her shattered. So she moved for a new life, new job and hopefully in time a new love.
Nathan owns a popular gym. He is a successful businessman who has a way with the ladies. All his clients love him and want to be with him but no one turns his head until Bryer comes along.
Can he leave his playerboy ways behind to be with her and can Bryer get over her trust issues enough to deal with a man who is wanted by every woman he meets.
Both have pasts that they need to come to terms with in order for them to succeed and the cliff hanger it leaves you on means i cant wait to read the next one to see where this couple goes.

This is the second book by this author I have read and I again was not able to put it down. This book moves on from high school and moves onto college. The author has a very unique way to bring the reader into the Leda’s world as it starts to evolve. I really liked how the author was able to make this story realistic.
Leda really is such a great character and this book is a very good example of youth and how we all have to really find ourselves. There is so much of a mix of emotions and dramas happening to Leda. This makes her so realistic and makes it so one can see themselves within the character. This really is a continuance of a coming of age story. We all have to find ourselves and throughout our lives we might have to reconnect and find ourselves again. This story is just a great read and I will definitely read more from this author and this series.

Finding Leda is a fantastic young adult, coming-of-age story by Gaia B. Amman. Having read the 2 books which told of Leda Balni’s story in high school in 1990’s Italy, it was great to then catch up with Leda a few years later at college. To fully understand Leda and her past I’d suggest you read Forget Nico and Sex-O-S before reading this book. Having had a hard time at high school, being a bit different from her friends in that she was serious about studying and enjoyed literature, and also suffering from an eating disorder, it was great to see Leda still full of fight and spirit. I really enjoyed being taken on the journey that is the next few years of Leda’s life, this time at college. Having had poor experiences with men previously, Leda was not looking for love at college and yet she found it in a place she would never have thought. Her adversary from school who she referred to as Evil Centi is at the same university (only he is 2 years ahead) and when he offers to help her with Chemistry, let’s just say that chemistry of a different type starts to flow. If you enjoy great story with a good deal of angst thrown in then I’m sure you would love to read Leda’s story. I for one look forward to seeing what Leda gets up to next.

Based on true events, this book is focused on the murder of a young victim. This book had me absolutely hooked right from the first page! I don’t usually read true crime stories, but i was definitely not disappointed. The author has done an incredible job of making it a story worth reading, while also keeping it clear that this is about a something that actually happened. This is such a very well written book, and I would highly recommend it!

Figure in the Flames is a collection of books 1-3 in the Hero High Series by Mina Chara. Having all 3 books in a box set was a great idea- each time I finished a book, I was scrambling for the next. This series introduces Friday Fitzsimmons and her super power. She needs to learn how to use her power and when. Leaning on friends is a good thing, until it’s not. Who will be in Friday’s corner? Trust me this is a great read if you like the super power genre. It is a YA book, but the way Mina writes, makes it for any age!

As she dances with the handsome stranger her husband becomes more agitated and they have a huge argument and he storms out of the ball, but as a true host Madeline stays and hosts the rest of the charity ball. The next morning the reality sets in, she wakes up in a strange room within the hotel, de-shelved and naked. Once she has got herself together she departs and gets home to her husband who is still mad and demands to know where she has been when she tells him that she does not remember the night he produces photographs of her in uncompromising positions with the stranger at the party.
This leaves her homeless and going to broke if she does not try to get to the bottom what is going on, with the help of a PI Burt she uncovers the dirty truth behind the really reasons and will she survive this discovery.
OMG first of all this story was full of intrigue and twists and turns, I could not put this book down. The character of Madeline at first I was not sure but as the story got more intense her true character shone and I felt like in the end living through the trails and strength she had to dig deep to try and move on with her life. I definitely recommend this book and can’t wait to read the next book for this brilliant writer.

Following a lead to a pub she meets her “Angel” but he is the vigilante running through the streets defending the people who can’t. After understanding they are both working towards the same goal of trying to get this new drug of the streets they decide to combine forces to achieve there goal, but they both do not understand the chemistry between them and they start feeling that the can’t go a day without seeing each other. Could love survive a underworld battle?
If you enjoy a story with action, thrilling story line and well developed characters you will enjoy this book. The chemistry between the two characters was excellent and the story was well executed too, full of excitement and action. This is the first story I have read by this author and would definitely recommend this story and I will be checking out the other stories in her catalogue.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I simply loved it I even read this story in one sitting but it does have a cliffhanger. The plot was awesome and different and the characters are well written. I just loved their quirkiness.
Zariya Chanji, is convinced her father was murdered and she will stop at nothing to uncover the truth–even if she must break into the headquarters of one of the most powerful organizations in the world. MASC, the Mythical Alliance of Supernatural Creatures, governs the lives of supes like herself, and she knows they had a hand in covering up her father’s murder. She does not understand, why they are covering his death up? When her investigation draws the unwanted attention of a MASC she decides to go on the defense. She meets a vampire who is as handsome as he is powerful, and she know she is close to the truth. But the deeper she gets, the more dangers lurk in the shadows, and the harder it becomes to tell friend from foe. The truth will change everything–if she can stay alive long enough to find it. And the River Runs deep is my first experience with A.J Ullman’s writing and a different feel of book than I am used to reading. Throughout the book there are several facts shared, while it was informative and well written, it at times felt too… factual. Overall, I enjoyed the book and was incredibly wrapped up in the case. The writing is strong and engaging and I would definitely read more work from this author in the future.

And The River Runs Deep is a true crime novel by AJ Ullman. Leah Marcus was a seventeen year old school girl with her whole life planned. She was going to make music, she was going to save lives, she was going to bring joy to those close to her. She never got to do any of these things. Leah was found, in her bedroom, brutally murdered. The novel is written from the point of view of a journalist who reinvestigates the murder case ten years later. It is so ‘factual’ that I had to check that this wasn’t in fact a true story (despite having novel in the title). For me, this style of writing is completely different to what I’m used to. I found it a bit difficult to get used to at first, with lengthy descriptions of the area in which it’s set, but once I got used to it, it was very enjoyable. The story is set against the backdrop of the Cincinnati 2001 race riots, where tensions, emotions and tempers are already running high. I don’t want to give any spoilers away, but I will say that this is a book you need to read right to the very end.

Forgotten Truth Trilogy is the first book in the The Forgotten Trilogy series by Virginia Wine. I literally got lost in the pages and couldn’t stop reading till the end. There were times my emotions were all over the place one minute and there were times the temperature went up. There’s plenty of action, drama, family secrets and deception. Nathan and Bryer, he’s a playboy with a dark family secret and she’s been betrayed in the past and has issues with trusting others. There’s so much chemistry between these two that sparks fly. But as she begins to investigate she discovers that things are much more complicated than she imagined. What she uncovers will change her perspective about everything she thought she knew and will set her on a life changing adventure. I enjoyed this engaging story, and as expected Ms. Luana’s fantastic world building and endearing characters really brought everything to life, making it entirely realistic and believable. Fantastic read – every girl’s dream is to hang out with rock stars right? No, in all seriousness, a very easy book to read, Turn up the Tempo flowed really well with a great mix of characters, the perfect amount of spice and twists that kept you guessing. I haven’t read the previous books in this series and was able to follow along well enough, however am now curious to go back and find out the whole story from the start!

Spouse Trap is the first book in the Madeline Dawkins series by Cynthia Hamilton. This book had me hooked from the very first page. I stayed up way to late at night to finish it, but it was well worth the lack of sleep. I enjoyed the writing style and the character growth throughout the book was great. Madeline is strong willed and very detail oriented. I love how she works things out in the case of her ruined marriage. I would highly recommend this book and look forward to getting the next book in the series.

Turn up the Tempo (Lyrical Odyssey Rock Star series, #4) by Charli B. Rose was a great 5 star read. I love Rock Star romance and this one did not disappoint. I was pulled in right from the beginning.
We start with a steamy memory of a one night stand between Brittany and Brooks, a few months later they come face-to-face again. Things get complicated when they are bestman and maid of honor for their best friends. Of course they can’t resist each other and Brooks finds her in the bathroom. And boy was that a steamy and hot scene. Neither one of them wanted more than a one night stand but they can’t stop thinking about each other.
There is all kinds of drama with these two, they both have things going on in their lives. We have ups and downs, steamy moments and so much more. All the secondary characters added a great element to the story. I really liked Brittany and Brooks and would love to see more from them. This book can be read as a standalone. Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness (Italian College novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B Amman
I absolutely loved reading this book. In this book Leda is in college and trying to find out what truly makes her happy. She is trying new things and is making sure she keeps up with her studies. Sergio has come back into the picture and Leda is trying to find balance so she doesn’t lose herself, what will happen if anything between these two? The things that her and her friends go through at this age is very relatable and I couldn’t help but be pulled into this story. The author’s writing is exceptional and keeps me wanting more. I have loved every book that I have read by this author and this one is no different. I had a very hard time putting this book down because I needed to know what was going to happen. I have enjoyed watching Leda grow up and all the people that have come and gone from her life. I can’t wait to read the next one. I highly recommend this book

This is my first book by India Kells. It will not be my last! This is a story that includes action, danger, and romance. It is a book that is entertaining and addictive to read. This is a dark romance suspense book that I loved from beginning to end. Orla is a Chicago reporter who risks going into Chicago’s underworld to learn of a new drug being sold. She also wants to learn more about a Vigilante who is fighting to protect the city. Read to find out what happens when the city’s vigilante swearing to right the wrongs meets the sleuth news reporter who only wants to write the truth and protect the city.

PhoenixTeam One: Selected is the first book in the Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team series by Claire Luana. This book is the perfect blend of fantasy, suspense, thrill, and romance. The amount of action the author is able to pack in such a short story is amazing. At just 120 pages and the wonderfully written storyline, I was able to finish this book in an afternoon. Zariya Chanji is determined to figure out if her father was murdered. She believes that breaking into the MACS (Mythical Alliance of Supernatural Creatures) headquarters will help her uncover the truth of her father’s murder. Zariya thinks MACS is covering something up but she doesn’t know what their motive for it would be. Then her path crosses with a handsome MACS vampire and she isn’t sure if she will be able to stay alive long enough to know the truth about her father.

This is my first book by Claire Luana. I loved reading the story Phoenix Team One: Selected (Mythical Alliance: Phoenix Team Book 1) by Claire Luana. It is a fast-paced book that hooked me in from the start. It is a story that includes action, danger, mystery, and secrets. The story follows Zariya Chanji, a half human, half naga (snake creature) hybrid, whose life has fallen apart after her father’s death. This story flowed and the character descriptions were amazing! I honestly cannot wait to read what happens next.

Finding Leda: The Science of Happiness (Italian College novel 1, The Italian Saga) by Gaia B. Amman. Let me start with you can read this as a stand-alone but I highly recommend previous books to get a much fuller picture. One of my favorite things about this set of books by this author is we’ve followed Leda through so many stages of life. Each one brings her to new challenges and I’ve enjoyed watch this character grow. The author does a wonderful job of writing a story that keeps you wanting more and coming back to make sure you don’t miss a bit. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. I’m definitely looking forward to even more. Four stars and highly recommended.

Forgotten Truth by Virginia Wine was a great story! It took me a couple of chapters to get hooked, and the beginning started off a little confusing, but a couple chapters in it got much better! Very good story line, very steamy (if you’re reading the steamy/erotica version) and some great twists I didn’t expect! This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I immensely enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from Wine!

Turn up the Tempo is the fourth book in Lyrical Odyssey Rock series written by Ms. Rose and I read the other books in this series also. The plot was awesome and the characters where well written and I love their quirks. The only thing that bother me was it was too slow at times and it took me a few days to read the whole story. This is Brittany and Brooks story they both don’t relationships and they both have a tragic past. It was meant to be a one-night stand. Then months later they meet again at Izzy and Dawson wedding. Brittany cannot understand why she still think about Brooks it was only mean to be one-night and it was months ago. She doesn’t want to have feeling for him because Brooks in a damn Rockstar he will break her hart. Brooks he usually did one night that was all he was good for and all he ever wanted. It kept girls from getting clingy. Now that he had his night, he wanted more than one round he wanted a few rounds and the next morning too. When he left her in the morning that was supposed to be it. Now Brittany is all he thinks about her smile, her laugh, her moans, her touches. So, what is Brooks supposed to do walk away or fight for what he wants? Will brooks break down Brittany walls down? Will they be able to overcome the few obstacles that are thrown their way? Will they over come their pasts and move forward with a relationship? Will they have a happily ever after? You will need to read this story to find out.
