I was intrigued by the cover of Chasing Clay. I have never heard of Lance Charnes or his previous work until now so it was a gamble going in totally based off of the cover. I am happy that I chose to dive in and will in the future be finding more by Lance Charnes. I will say this book took me a bit to get into. I am not sure if that was because it is actually book three of a series, The DeWitt Agency Files and so I needed more back story, or if it was just a slow build up in general. I was happy I stuck to it however. This book really does blow up into a fantastic and suspenseful read that I couldn’t get read fast enough so I could know how it would all wind up. I won’t go into much more detail than what the author has divulged with the blurb because that would just ruin the way things unfold in this novel. I can’t be a spoiler, but I will tell you to take my word for it. If you love a suspenseful and twisty read then look no further this is your next read!

Revive (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw was steamy and romantic. Two hunky men and amazing fun. I loved Patrick and Brandon. All the ups and downs and the shocking surprise if Brandon being a client after the hook up. Wow. This story was a lot of fun to read. It had an easy flow and fun vibe. It seemed professionally edited and developed well. The story had a good plot and climax. I also loved how developed the characters were. This book is part of a collection of books in a series but can be read as a standalone. Brandon was my favorite character. I loved that he could play the piano and shared with others by teaching it. His ex wife was also hilarious this book. I highly recommend it!

Revive is the 3rd instalment in the erotic, queer Rewind series by Rowan Shaw. It can be read as a stand-alone but in my humble opinion, I think it would be enjoyed better if you at least read the first book ‘Rewind’ before this one. I loved the first 2 books in this series but was a bit hesitant before reading this one as I really didn’t like Patrick when we first met him in Rewind. However I have to say that Patrick did redeem himself in Revive. Having had a bad experience with a bi man before, therapist Patrick is very anti-bi and doesn’t hide this fact. So how is he going to react when the gorgeous man he had a one night stand with appears as his patient the next day and turns out to be bi? I absolutely adored Brandon. Having been married to a bi woman, Brandon is scared of coming out as bi to his mother as his father turned out to be bi and left them. Brandon also hasn’t had any relationship with a man yet so is very confused and unsure how to deal with the beautiful enigmatic Patrick. The conflict in his head is wonderfully written by Rowan Shaw. In addition this book has an awesome scene stealer. Brandon’s daughter Wei is an amazing character. I just loved her wit and outlook on life. She’s a total breath of fresh air. Loving this series so far and looking forward to book 4.

Revive by Rowan Shaw a rocking four-star read. This is number three in the Rewind series and I have read and enjoyed the series they get better with each read and story, but you could read it as stand-alone. If you have read the previous novels then definitely read the note from the author, as This will surprise you, I was so empathetic towards Patrick and this surprised me as I didn’t enjoy his character previously, but this author has a way of making you really care about the people in these stories, makes you see people differently, make you think differently. It was steamier than I would normally have gone for in this genre, but the author has a way of making it an integral part of the story and just more compelling reading.

Shaw doesn’t shy away from this latest book. Readers should take the summary and caution at face value. This will not appeal to all readers except to say that the characters are beautifully written. They are thorough and thoughtful and complete and absolutely relatable. This story stands alone well but the characters are even more greatly appreciated when read in the context of the whole series.
5 Star Holiday Terminal by Gwyn McNamee & Christy Anderson is a heartwarming story about two people who are given a second chance at love. It’s a quick read that once you start reading you won’t want to put down till the end. I absolutely love holiday romance stories and this one is definitely my favorite. I loved the characters and how well developed and easily relatable they were. Artemis and Penelope, both have landed at the small airport because of the weather. She thought he was only her past .When these two see each other all the memories come back. Can he convince her that she’s the only one he’s ever loved? Can these two have a future together? Will they give each other the second chance they both deserve? Find out what happens next in this absolute must read. I can’t recommend this book enough.

This is Neve and Enya’s story. These two important characters really turn up the fire. They are also trying to stay alive and save Spicetopia. In one day they go from hating easy other to finding themselves in some serious trouble. Forcing them to work together. No spoilers from me. Just read the story!
Phoebe Alexander you have done it again. This story is again a, quick page turning read. I could not stop reading until I turned the last page of the book. The characters make this book worth the read. Spicetopia! Is a theme park for adults only. The romance is on Fire and Ice will turn your blood cold. What an adventure Phoebe Alexander has written. The whole series is a must read. Well Done!
REVIVE is the 3rd book in the “Rewind” series and can be read as a stand-alone, but I would really recommend reading REWIND first because there is a common thread to both stories. Also, it will help you to develop reading in a French accent (seriously, am I the only one that does this?)
REVIVE has a warning that there is a some “bi-phobia” in the book and I was surprised the direction where that phobia came from. It was an interesting twist I thought. This is a developed story with strong characters. Sometimes I didn’t care for the characters and kind of wanted them to go away but it kept me on my toes.
Told in Dual POV and with wonderful secondary characters, the story was an “enjoyable” read. As always, I appreciate the interactive guide the author provides.
Fire & Ice (Spicetopia Book 3) by Phoebe Alexander
This was another wonderful book in an exceptional series. Neve and Enya are polar opposites, where Neve is quiet and cold, Enya is very vocal and full of life. This story had me hooked with romance, suspense, danger, and wonderful characters. This book can be read as a standalone without any problem, but it is my suggestion that you read the series because it is amazing. There are twists and turns in this story that keep you on the edge of your seat not knowing what’s going to happen next. There are room temperature rising moments in this story as well, so you get a little of everything you want from a good book. This is definitely an adult only book. I highly recommend this read, you won’t want to miss out.

The story Love & Omens (Crescent City Ghost Tours Book 2) by Carrie Pulkiene is the next amazing story is a wonderful series. First off, I love books that are based in New Orleans. The city has a mystery and charm about it that I have not found in other locations. I also loved the storyline and the characters. Sydney Park and Blake Beaumont are wonderful to read about. The story has Blake joining forces with a tour company and Sydney. Not only does he want to join as a partner, but he also sees a chance to restart the relationship that he has with her. The story is full of mystery and has an atmosphere that takes you in the world of the unknown. What will happen when situations happen that could cause danger to both Sydney, Blake, and those around them? Will Blake and Sydney rekindle their relationship? What does the future hold for Blake, Sydney and the tour company? Read this book to find out. The story has emotional moments and my emotions went up and down with the characters. I grew to care about Sydney and Blake and wanted them to be happy. There are additional characters that interact with Sydney and Blake which I enjoyed reading about. This is a book that came to an end far too soon. I look forward to the next one in the series. I highly recommend this book and series.

Stars Fall From the Sky is the second book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher.
I fell in love with this story from the beginning. I cried on and off all the way through and was so emotional after finishing it in had to give myself some time to process the story and my emotions.
Ginger’s grief slayed me. I cried for her so many times even when I wasn’t reading the book which doesn’t happen to me very often.
Jonathan was charming, sweet and overall an amazing man. He was more important in Ginger’s working past her grief than either one of them realized.
There is only one thing I would have changed about the story, but since it could give something away I’m not going to into detail. It doesn’t take away from the book at all, maybe more of a preference for me.
This is an amazing book about a woman and a man having a second chance in love and worth every year I shed and second I spent reading it.

There is some steaming sex scenes in the middle of the investigation of what is happening at Spicetopia. Will Neve and Enya figure out what/who is behind the problems Spicetopia? Will Spicetopia ever open? Cannot wait to see what is going to happen in the next books.

Revive by Rowan Shaw is the third book in the Rewind series. This book can be read as a stand-alone although the whole series is definitely worth reading! This book has to be my favourite of the series so far. I loved the relationship between Patrick and Brandon right from the start. I felt their connection which I think made me connect with them that bit more than any others in the series. The author also packed her usual creative writing into this whole book. I was swept away with the story and I really enjoyed the depth and complexity of it. I thought the author did a great job of exploring a the side of a subject that is still very much prevalent in today’s world. She did it with such an ease and sensitivity towards it. This is a fantastic book and one that I think everyone should read.
Ricochet by Kathryn Berla. I have read other books by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed them so I figured I would also like this one. This book is slightly outside of my usual genre but I read the blurb and knew that I wanted to read this book. No being a sci-fi reader, it did take an extra push for me to get through. If you like science fiction, you will enjoy this book.
Wow……what a read! I can’t put into words how incredible this book is! I’ve read many books in this genre, but there was just something about this read that made it that much better! Let’s start off by saying how eye-catching and captivating just the front cover is if this doesn’t draw you immediately then read the synopsis which I guarantee will make you not want to put the read down!
I was absolutely captivated from the very beginning with its amazing storyline that’s got action, adventure, danger & romance. To top it all off the characters that this author has created are one of a kind, especially Xenobia. They all feel so real, lovable and relatable as though I was there alongside them experiencing it all with them, I absolutely loved following their journey/story in this read and didn’t want it to end!
While there was a lot of storyline I never once got lost within it, it flowed effortlessly and I couldn’t put it down!
There is one downfall with this book… I now have to wait for book 2. This book is a definite must read and I highly recommend it too all! Naomi Valkyrie you have truly outdone yourself!

This is a good story that revolves around love and finding the right person. Eve has always fallen for the wrong guy and when a chance meeting with Sam happens she has a feeling it will happen all over again.
Sam is a lawyer who is great at getting bad people off their charges. Does his jpb make him a bad person or will Eve see more to him than a ruthless lawyer.
Added into the story is a element of magicmagic and mystery when people start dying by what seems like natural causes but Eve knows dark magic is at work.
Its a great story filled with ups and downs as Eve and her friends try to figure out who or what is behind the killings at the same time as they try to navigate their own love lives. With them being guided by a spiritual being will they be able to find true love or only more problems and questions.

Rowan Shaw is my favorite go to author for MM romance! I love this series, even the fact that some are stand-alone stories! I love these characters! Brandon and Patrick are strong men, who happen to like other men. However, Patrick has an issue with Brandon. With such strong characters and feelings and beliefs, it will be a wonder if they can figure it out.
I like the flow of this story. The tension builds quickly between the characters but not at an unbelievable pace. Shaw keeps the pages turning and the tension building. Real life situations and feelings make this story so good.
Revive, along with the others in this series, is for open minded readers only. The characters are gay, bisexual, straight and pan. This story is about the love two people can share, about how different everyone is and about being happy together.
Chasing Clay is the third book in Lance Charnes’ The DeWitt Agency Files series. It’s a thrilling crime mystery, following ex-con Matt as he attempts to complete a mission for the agency that is guaranteed to bring his probation to an early end – either with his freedom or his incarceration. Like the rest of the series so far, Chasing Clay focuses on art theft. As the name suggests, this book centres around ceramics. This was fascinating to read – I’m pretty sure all of the art crime books I’ve read so far have been about paintings so it was great to learn about a different art form with all of the history and culture surrounding it. Helpfully, Matt is also a bit out of his depth with ancient Asian ceramics so as he studies we get useful bits of information. It’s a clever, action-packed book. The characters have understandable motivations (and reservations about what’s happening). It’s got plenty of mystery to keep you turning the pages! I came into the series at this book, and I found I could follow the story well enough. Everything’s and everyone’s introduced to you and you get plenty of background. So if you’re particularly interested in ceramics you could jump in here. Having been captivated by this book, though, I’d now like to go back and read the previous two! For me, this is a five star read. I’d recommend it to fans of art and mystery, particularly anyone interested in Thailand.

Winds of Fear is the third thrilling instalment in the Fearless series by Gledè Browne Kabongo. This is my first read by Ms. Browne Kabongo, and so I was excited to see what she could do. The blurb certainly promised a thrilling and suspenseful read- so I was sold- happily one-clicking a copy for myself and diving in- and I am happy to say it was every bit as good as I hoped it would be. Even though this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone, which is exactly what I did. Anyway, this story has made me want to explore the other two books to see what they hold. It looks like they may be about Abbie, our main character in this book- so I am intrigued by the ‘backstory’ that may be contained there. This book is an intriguing, suspenseful, chilling, and ‘edge of your seat’ thriller. It grabbed me from the get-go and had me avidly reading to discover just how everything would play out. We follow Abbie Rambally who is working on getting her PhD. With her husband and three young children, they have a busy, but loving household. When new neighbours move in, strange things begin happening and Abbie’s motherly instincts are triggered when the neighbour shows a little too much interest in her oldest child. Things take on a more sinister edge when their nanny quits out of the blue, and later found murdered. What is going on? With danger close at hand and suspicions all round- you’ll need to hang on for this thrilling ride. I am definitely looking forward to exploring the rest of this series, and anything else Ms. Browne Kabongo has/or does release.

Risking Everything: A Steamy Anthology of First Responders by ten great authors. All the stories are about first responders from Police Officers, Firefighters, and Accident scene workers to Emergency Call operators and all are hard but wonderful stories to read. It is also great to see that the book supports a good cause. Each of these stories are highly emotionally charged stories and will have your heart beating rapidly as you journey along with the characters whilst they put their lives, their emotional wellbeing on the line every day. They are each beautiful stories in there telling and I shed a tear or two along the way.
Reconstructed Heart – K.L. Montgomery tells the sad tale of having to come face to face with an accident where someone you knew was involved. Not only that but having to deal with it and find there is far more to the story than it seems. What he also discovers is that he is not alone and that he may just be worthy of love. This is a very emotional story that had me on high alert and my heart breaking.
Romance on the Rig – Kara Liane is the story of a man who has been burnt and totally misreads that is going on. Until he can face his demons will he push the one good thing he finds away?
Walk the Line – Harlow Layne tells us of one man who helps calm a woman who has been in a serious accident. When things start to come together for them he is scared off because of nasty attacks involving other woman of police officers. Did he do the right thing or will it prove to be too much?
Always Kind of Love – Amanda Siegrist is about a woman he can’t stop thinking about who has returned to his life. She is the last thing he wants to deal with but she has always been his one love. He finds himself not only battling fires in buildings but also those of his heart.
Beautiful Persuasion – A.K. MacBride – Raelyn cannot say no to her girlfriends and one taste is all it took for her to know he was the one she needed, the air she needed to breathe but she also loves her family. Damn his sexy accent.
Going Down – Jody Kaye is the story of Kat who is struggling with her parents’ divorce and holding herself back from a life she should live, that is until one crazy man skis into her life.
Rescuing Ryan – Syd Ryan – Ryan has meet the man of her dreams but will he move out of his own way to go for what he needs?
Perfect For Me – Alyne Hart tells a story of one man who has been broken by love but when she returns to town all bets are off, that is if he can mend his broken heart.
Call of Fate – Kelsey Cheyenne – Aubrey has had so much heart ache in her life that she wonders where her bad luck will end. So when Noah comes in to her life and offers her more she is afraid to break down her barriers, she would rather leave than risk the man she loves.
Loving Lindsey – Larissa Gail this lovely tale is about a firefighter named Gavin, he is a player and loves his life. He sees what his friends have and is envious of them. Can he give up his way of life when a beautiful officer comes to town after suffering a loss of her husband? I loved this story and would like to read more. Oh who am I kidding I loved them all.
This anthology of tales is a must for anyone it really makes you appreciate what these wonderful men and women go through. Don’t forget the tissues.

The Rise of House Valdis (House Valdis Book 1) by Naomi Valkyrie was a great read and a fantastic start to the series. It is different and unique, interesting and fun, I loved it. I love the way it is told in multiple POV’s as it is the perfect way to get a true feel for the characters. I was blown away by Naomi’s unique narrative that brought the characters and their world to life. It popped off the page taking me on a journey that is easily imagined and full of fantasy and magic and paranormal and supernatural beings. Well done Naomi on your debut book.
Xenobia is strong and kickass but has a heart of gold when it comes to the people she loves. When danger comes knocking, she does whatever it takes to keep them safe.

Charnes is a new author to me and I was intrigued by the plot summary of this book. I’m very glad I picked it up as it was chock full of mystery and suspense. This is the second book in this series, it just keeps getting better. I was pulled into the story from the start and couldn’t put it down until the last page. Sydney and Blake are great characters and the emotional rollercoaster ride as well as the suspense, mystery they took me on you won’t want to miss. They have a past but will there be a second chance in their future? Survival is a race against time, will time run out?. I highly recommend reading the rest of their story.
I enjoyed this romance book. This is a new author for me and I will be looking for more books by her. I was pulled into the story right from the start. It is an engaging story that I read in one sitting. Kimberly has loved Jake since high school but she has always been the little sister. Now that he is back in town will she be able to convince him to give her a chance? I enjoyed them and watching the growth between them. They will keep you turning pages! I highly recommend their story.

The story Testament of Feats: Book of Judgment Book One by K.H. Jones is a dark fantasy book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and had me hooked until the final page. It has a storyline that is enjoyable, entertaining, and mysterious. The author does an amazing job in world-building and I felt like I was right there with the characters. The world in which the characters live and travel is one that is unlike the one we live in. I enjoyed reading about Night Scream and his journey to find a fellow ranger, Warhold. This journey leads Scream to many different places, some familiar, and some new. He meets many other characters along the way. Some help Scream while others have their own agenda. What does the future hold for Night Scream? Will he find his fellow ranger? Read this book to find out. There are dark forces that are gathering. Don’t miss out on an action-packed story that will have you glued to the pages until the very last one. I highly recommend reading this book.

The story Loving Jake (Almost Perfect Series Book 1) by Lisa Lanay is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that pulled me in from the beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. It is a book that is romantic and has wonderful characters. I loved reading about Kimberly Urbane and Jake Taylor. Kimberly had always had a crush on Jake. When he suddenly needs a place to stay, Kimberly lets him stay in her spare room. The attraction between them is undeniable. Both of them have feelings for the other. Can Kimberly get Jake to act on his? Jake is a man who after the heartbreak of his divorce decides that relationships and romance are not for him. That doesn’t mean that he doesn’t see how beautiful Kimberly is and want more with her. What does the future hold for Kimberly and Jake? Will they find a HEA? Read this book to find out. This story has moments that will make you laugh, moments that are sad, and also heartwarming moments. The book had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading it. There are romantic scenes that you will love reading. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story that has amazing characters. I highly recommend it.

The story Chasing Clay (The DeWitt Agency Files Book 3) by Lance Charnes is a wonderful book to read. It takes you on a fast-paced journey that has twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. It had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the character of Matt Friedrich. He is a man that is smart, unpredictable, and very resourceful. Matt is an ex-con who is promised an early end to his probation if he can finish a job in 60 days. It involves Nam Ton ware that is being trafficked. Matt soon finds himself way over his head and having to think on the fly as a federal turf war has started. Will Matt learn where the pottery is coming from? Will he finish the job in 60 days? Will he earn the early release from his probation? What does the future hold for Matt? Read this book to find out. This is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. There are other characters that are introduced and interact with Matt. Some of them are helpful to him, others have their own agenda, and then there are those who I wasn’t sure what their motives were. This book has a mystery that must be solved and if there is anyone that can do it, I believe the main character of Matt Friedrich is the one who can accomplish it. This is a story I would highly recommend reading.

Revive (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw. This book was amazing. It’s the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I suggest reading the others first because other characters do appear in this book from the others. This book is the story of Patrick Lefevre who lives in France and is a very successful Psychotherapist. Patrick loves his family, friend and hookups! No relationships, he doesn’t have time for that. When he meets newly divorced Brandon Smith who is out with his ex and her friend they have an immediate connection. After talking for awhile they hook up and its amazing. Only Brandon doesn’t realize that Patrick is his new Therapist and his first appointment is tomorrow. Also throw in Brandon’s problem not being open about being bisexual and Patrick’s huge dislike for bisexuals there are kinks all over the place. Patrick realizes his feelings for Brandon are deeper than a one night stand but will all the red signs stop him from even trying. Brandon is also a single dad who may have to leave France for his daughter. This was such a fun read. Full of steamy scenes, emotions and love! Read Revive you won’t be disappointed!
Fire & Ice is the 3rd instalment in the sexy, erotic Spicetopia Series by Phoebe Alexander. This book can be read as a stand-alone although I’d recommend that you read books 1 and 2 first as it will give a better understanding of what Spicetopia is all about and how the idea for it was created. In this book, Spicetopia (a theme park for adults) is getting ready to open when it becomes clear that someone is out to sabotage the park. Head of Security Neve Romano and Head of PR Enya Moore have to try find out what is going on and to stop word spreading. Unfortunately Neve and Enya do not get on with each other but when thrown together things become rather heated between the two. I absolutely loved the interactions between the 2. They could not be any more different if they tried. Enya babbled and talked non-stop, whereas you were doing well if you got more than a few words out of Neve. Can Enya, who is fiery and full of life melt the Iceman? In the 2nd book there is much emphasis on swinging, whereas in Fire & Ice there is much more emphasis on BDSM but in a monogamous relationship. Let’s just say that the sexy times in this book are smoking hot! You’ll be needing a fan or a cold shower to calm you down. Having read many books by Phoebe Alexander now I can say with much confidence that she writes a damn fantastic erotic story. I’m looking forward to finding out what she has in store for us in the 4th book Naughty & Nice.
